USA TODAY bestselling author and Amazon Top 25 bestselling author, Addison Cain is best known for her dark romances, smoldering paranormal suspense, and twisted alien worlds. Her antiheroes are not always redeemable, her lead females stand fierce, and nothing is ever as it seems.

Deep and sometimes heart wrenching, her books are not for the faint of heart. But they are just right for those who enjoy unapologetic bad boys, aggressive alphas, and a hint of violence in a kiss.

What a fabulous collection of dark sexy vampire tales!!! These are not your mother's vampire tales!!! Get a couple of pairs of panties, and get ready to read about vampires that are so hot and sinful and who have made a art of giving amazing orgasm's!! I loved every dirty flithy tale, my favorites were Cathedral, Master of ceremonies,Crimson Seductions and my very favorite with the hot as f##k vamp Nic, Sweet Ruin, he can ruin me anytime!!!! This is dark paranormal romance erotica at its best!!! This contains very adult language and adult scenes as well. The steam factor had me looking around all guilty like!!! To all who love erotica and vamps,I can't recommend this collection enough its fabulously wicked ! Until next time luv's💗💋

so this is a Vampire Anthology courtesy of some of my favourite dark authors.
This collection really has something for everyone and each story delivers a slightly different flavour.
In regards to the actual content here well, these are dark macabre tales filled with dubious and non-consent and questionable behaviour throughout so know your limits and be aware before jumping on this crazy train.
So as I said this is a collection from various authors this review is going to concentrate on the story Cathedral written by the queen of torture herself Addison Cain.
I was so excited when I actually realised just what universe this was set in and then also by the fact that our lead character here daywalker Jade was actually Darius and Pearl's daughter from the story Catacombs.
What a mind bend that was let me tell you.
So Cathedral itself is the start of a story that has yet to be finished, so Yay to that fact.
This was definitely an enthralling introduction decadent and dirty but also tragic and heart-breaking.
Where Jade even while standing in the light as a daywalker and the daughter of darkness herself is locked in a hopeless and bitter battle with the father she wholly abhors.
This really was an emotional rollercoaster of a ride and I really am excited to see how this story evolves and to also maybe have my questions and confusions addressed further.
Fingers crossed that won't be too long in the near future.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Bite me (A Vampire Anthology).

DNF & skimmed. I finished a few stories, but many I tried for several pages and then lost interest.
This really is a personal rating, I definitely think readers should give these stories a try if they have Kindle Unlimited. I'm personally glad I didn't pay $6.99. Out of all the authors in this anthology I liked Eris Adderly & Livia Bourne's the most. To be brutally honest, I'm not going to read any of these series. They just weren't that good.

edit: lol I'm going to be watching to see what other anthologies these authors partake in again. Basically the same authors do the same anthologies over and over and over again. It's how many of them got their "USA Today Bestselling author" titles. Here it looks like they were trying to set a 'vampire pnr' trend which, vampires are so overdone at this point. I'm wondering how many more alien and fairy tale anthologies there will be too.

Original review:

This review is subjective, simply my personal thoughts. I don't want to dissuade anyone from trying this anthology.

I actively seek vampire tales that suit my own tastes. What I've noticed is that I tend to gravitate towards vintage vamps from the 80s & 90s. The Vampire Lestat is an all time fave, dear to my heart book, that I will always treasure. Interview With A Vampire is what got me out of a fiction reading slump in 2018. I adore Tanith Lee's vampires. The Night Inside by Nancy Baker deserves a honorable mention. All of these books contain a subtle writing style, elements of horror and darkness, and what I describe as 'subtle sexuality.' It's hard to explain but there's an element of seduction in these books. Also the writing style slowly gives hints to the vampire's abilities in a way I like. In many of these stories the word vampire isn't even used at all or until the middle of the book. I'm going to try to think more on this style of writing vampires and may come back and add since I understand the word 'subtlety' may not adequately describe it. Ultimately, I felt this style was completely lacking in this anthology. All the short stories felt two-dimensional to me, and I was never fully immersed. I quickly lost interest in all the short stories. The ones I did finish really dragged and were not fun for me to read. I'm not bothered by the depraved acts, it's how they were written. Often I felt the writing style was too 'in my face' or trying too hard to be edgy. Other times I was simply bored.

At first, I thought, is it because they're all short stories? The answer is no, that is not an excuse, because Addison Cain achieved this (subtle world building, element of seduction) in Catacombs. Catacombs is an artfully written vampire horror novella, and because of that I came to this anthology with high hopes.

The biggest letdown for me was Addison Cain's novella, Cathedral. It came no where near being as good as Catacombs IMO. I liked her short story, Immaculate, more too. In Cathedral the sex was gross, the characters unlikable (I'm ok with unlikable characters but I have to like to dislike them), and I hated the Trump reference. I read to escape reality. I didn't find the reference clever, and it bothered me even though it was only a small couple of sentences. I really hope this doesn't become a trend. I don't want Trump references in my vampire tales.

Jennifer Bene's story (Cassandra Faye) was well-written, but I was left unimpressed and became bored. All the authors here are dark erotica/romance writers, and it's like they wrote edgy dark erotica stories, but then made the characters vampires. Catacombs felt different because I really felt like I was reading an old school vampire horror story. Addison Cain really created a scary world in Catacombs. Everything about that short story was excellent. The structure of the plot, how the vampire mythology was slowly revealed, the mystery....I loved it. Nothing in this anthology came close to being as good imo.

Look, I recognize I have specific tastes when it comes to vampires, and my opinion is in the minority. I feel like fans of these authors will like this anthology and that's great. I really wish I enjoyed it too.

I Love this woman so much. Her mind amazes me

Anyone that knows me knows that I live for anthologies. So upon hearing of this anthology I was hooked. I keep waiting for the preorder to go live so that I can purchase this asap. Each of these stories all are completely different which made it even better. These stories are written b the best of the best. There isn’t anything sugary sweet here. There are no sparkly vampires. These stories will sometimes take you out of their comfort zone but it will also feel as if you came home. These stories are about love In some facet, whether right or wrong, It borders on the obscene as well as feeds this natural attraction that mere mortals, like myself, are drawn to. There are elements of tragedy because come on this is vampire romance but don’t let that deter you from reading it because if you did you would lose out on a great collection.

Cathedral by Addison Cain

Sweet holy hell. This author might eventually kill me. The way that she weaves a story is mindboggling. It doesn’t matter what subgenre it is she manages to make it her own. This was just another example of that. Having read Catacombs, (another mind F%#kery of a story, I knew she would do justice to another vampire story and did she ever.
This is the story of Jade. It is depraved and ever so dirty. Yet, it is so much more than that. It gets into Jade’s mind and not only shows the backstory of who she is but how things got to the point t of life that she is in now. I am not going to give details or a summary on the book because I think in this case it needs to be experienced firsthand blindly. Not having any idea of what was to come or what I was going to discover enhanced the book. The world building was sublime as always and of course, it ends with a to be continued which I KNOW this author was cackling as she typed. Yet, it was so much more. I have questions. I need to know more about Marcus and his connection to Jade. I hope the coming soon is SOON or I might have to start digging the basement and plan a kidnapping!

Till the End of Time by Zoe Blake
4.5 stars
This was a great new way for me to relish the tried and true story of Dracula. I was worried at first because I LOVE Dracula, but the author did this story justice. I enjoyed how the story gave insight into Mirella and what she was feeling and why she did what she did in order to get Vlad to join her. The story was intense and definitely pushed the envelope. It was a love story at the same time that it wasn’t which made it that much more enticing.

Master of Ceremonies by Alta Hensley
4.5 stars
This storyline was very different than any that I have read before. I was intrigued from the get-go I enjoyed the details and descriptions that this author used in telling her story. It added to the overall feel. I wasn’t expecting the elements of BDSM in the story and was surprised at how well the author managed to make it cohesive in Ava and Valarian’s love. I am intrigued by the villain in this story and am curious to know more. With the way that the story ended, I am hoping that this leads to more in the future.

This was wickedness at its best. This author might as well have been a siren luring sailors to their death, only in this case I am not a sailor but I should be because this story was everything. She had me so engrossed that I snarled, legit snarled when I was interrupted. Knowing this is a prequel makes me so very happy. This story is horrible but in a good way. It makes my black heart giddy at the level of depravity that exists. I hated Myron and am at a loss concerning Selma BUT Axton? Oh Yeah, I cannot wait to see where this goes and what happens next because that ending lets me know it will be GOOD!

V is for Vampire by Eris Adderly
4.8 stars
Just take my money. All of it. This story was a little bit of everything. This was like V is for Vendetta but only with vampires. Knowing that this was just the prequel?! HOLY TITFIRE! The world building in this one was incredible. I am gobsmacked. Add in one of the hottest scenes that I have ever read, and I was done for. I am not sure if this will continue in the other books, but I am actually not sure if I would be able to choose Radoslav or Leo even though LEO is incredible. November intrigued me. I am anxious to see how this unfolds in the future story. For a prequel, this book definitely paved the way for answers as to why the Vamps had been forced to live underground.

Blinding Salvation by Livia Bourne
4.7 stars
I, like the heroine Lily, was very confused at the beginning of this story. I was trying to figure out what was going on and how “the pen” was going to lead me to a tale about a vampire. I am not saying that as a means to imply that this was a bad story. In fact, it was a fantastic story. I merely mean that it was written so well that I was trying to figure out HOW this story was in this anthology. Once it clicked then I became even more engaged. Lily might be one of my favorite heroines that this author has created. Sassy juxtaposed with sunshine. She was joy. I loved watching her interactions with Armand. He didn’t stand a chance of being able to withstand her charisma. I look forward to this becoming additional books but just have to voice my discontent that it isn’t until 2020. That seems so long from now. This is another hit from this author.

The Devil’s Game by Sarah Fields
4.6 stars
I had an idea going into this story how it was going to go and I was right. This author always manages to bring submission and punishment into the story in the most delightfully of ways. Ruby and Cain's story was interesting, to say the least. Instead of enemies to lovers, this was Demon Hunter and head demon. I enjoyed the pursuit and lengths that Cain went to "break" Ruby into realizing her true destiny. The world building was top notch (The vine scene? sweet holy hell!) This is a story that I would have loved to have had continue. I am not sure if she intends to do that or not.

To My End by Anita Gray
4.4 stars
I am mixed on this story. I loved it but the way that it ended left me in a quandary. I was all sucked in thinking I knew how the story of Vi and Sonny was going to go. However, as the story progressed I wasn't sure because Sonny seemed torn on how to proceed. I liked that Vi was empathetic through this story, even when she was battling fear and the possibility of death. However, I am still left with questions, was she just a sacrifice? What about her visions? Will there be more to this story? Even with those questions, the story was good and is staying in the back of my mind as I mull it over. That in itself speaks volumes on this story and a great author.

Sweet Ruin by Cassandra Faye
4.9 stars
Yeah... This author just needs to come live in my house and write me all the words. I can see it now, we can go be besties at Starbucks and we can discuss plot twists and ideas. When I say we, I totally mean her because I just read. How she manages to always write things that I didn't even know that I wanted that somehow feeds all my kinky desires is beyond me. Yet, she taps into it every time.

I wasn't sure what I was getting into with the first chapter. I just knew it was dirty as all hell and intense. SOOO intense. I kept waiting to see if there was going to be an explanation of Grace came to be where she was. The answer to that in Chapter two was BRILLIANT. What followed after that between Grace and Nic was hilarious. The inner musings of Grace as she processed things were hilarious. I laughed out loud at the ordering of a blueberry scone and the reasons why. I have been thereon that reasoning so I get the need to not be haunted because of a lonely pastry. Nicomachus. SWEET. Holy Hell. who knew a vampire could be so delicious?! His pursuit and patience were amazing. My only complaint was I wanted to know more about the ritual and how he came to know what would work and how he went about making it happen. The world building was again stellar which is nothing new when it comes to this author. I am very sad to see this end. This could have been a VERY long book if the author had wanted it to be but that could also be because I just want to eat up all of this authors words.

Enthralled
By Myra Danvers

A Gory Little Gem!!

Oh myyy, Ms. Danvers has done it again. She has hooked me like a Blue Marlin and has reeled me into another amazing story. This time, we are dealing with vampires and what a gory little gem of a tease it is.

We are introduced to Dam Selma, her Chyld Axton, and Grandsire Myron, all members of the noble Anuris line. Along with assorted Drudges, Fledges, and Thralls, we are given a brief glimpse of pain inflicted, terror experienced, and the violent mayhem to come.

I was giddy as a little girl while reading this tasty morsel, the bloodier it got, the more euphoric I became. Ms. Danvers grotesque descriptions and vulgar actions had me screaming “Yes” while lapping up every putrid word.

Ms. Danvers' sci-fi stories are brilliant to say the least, but her foray into gothic horror is phenomenal, simply outstanding, and I have fallen in love all over again with this author. Am I enthralled? You betcha!! And the ending? Well lets just say, be careful of the games you play and with who. Even in the world of the living dead, actions have consequences, painful consequences.

I can’t say this enough, if you aren’t reading Ms. Danvers books, I don’t know what you are doing with your life, I really don’t. She is pure literary gold!!

Gnashing my fangs while patiently waiting for the saga to continue…

I'm going to lead into this with why you should get this despite my rating, because if one story made this all worthwhile, it was Eris Adderly's V is for Vampire. This story not only gave depth to all the characters, but the plot was solid, the story intriguing, and enough information was given to make it feel like a *real* story. November, Leo, and Rado are amazing! We might not know the full story, but I felt like I knew them, had that connection I need to enjoy a story. Add a dash of dystopian and sci-fi and you have pushed all my buttons! There's no shock value violence and gore in this one, and for that alone I applaud Ms. Adderly and sincerely hope she releases this on its own as seems to be the trend these days. For this story alone, you should at least grab it on KU if not buy it.

I will also give points to Livia Bourne's short in this anthology. She, too, did not follow the same trail as the other stories in this one.

Overall this anthology is a 3.5 star read for me. As with any anthology some stories stand out more than others. I have included individual reviews with each story. It’s just my opinion. 🙃 If you choose to read this book - Happy Reading! There’s something for every type of Vampire reader in this anthology.

Addison Cain - for real, president bashing - sigh...and by the way I’m NOT a supporter but I get enough of that constantly on social media and the news. So, to put it in a book really frustrates me. I read for escape, not politics and of course it’s a to be continued story. I’ve come to accept/expect nothing less than that from this author, which isn’t a good thing. She has so many stories out that are to be continued that it’s hard to keep up. This is a dark tale per her usual writing style, which I enjoy immensely. But I’m not quite sure where this story is heading. We, as the readers, aren’t given much to go on. It seemed to end on a cut off. A true to be continued...

Zoe Blake - complete short story of Dracula & his love. Brutal and macabre, but well written. I could “see” the story in my mind as I read it. Reminded me of the story we all already know with a bit more flair added to it. Good job!

Alta Hensley- seemed really short. Good characters separately but I didn’t feel the chemistry between them at all. There seems to be something missing in the story, maybe a bit of background or some type of interaction with the main Characters. Happy for now story.

Myra Danvers - very brutal and dark with loads of gore. I can’t really say it’s a happy for now story but a ‘done for now’ one. A definite for dark story lovers.

Eris Adderly - great story! Very different vampire story, but in an interesting way. Ended in a good for now, but in a way that makes me want to read more. Super steamy scenes and a ménage one as well. Not dark, but to me a welcome break from it.

Livia Bourne - this was an excellent story. This kept my interest and made me want more. Ended in a done for now. I can’t wait for more Order of the Jagged Cross. But 2020! Yikes! I hope I remember!

Sara Fields - I’m not quite sure about this one. As I first started reading it, I was really liking where it was going then it changed. No lead in, no warning..just jumped into some questionable consent, then insta love with lots of S & M. I didn’t feel chemistry between the main characters. I got confused on a few scenes that has some mistakes (not grammar wise, but an actual scene that was written two ways but still in the story) and had to reread them. The end gave me a creepy vibe because of the name she chose...shiver...All I could think was.. Dude - that’s your mom’s name... yikes!

Anita Gray - fact paced, insta story. It ends very abruptly. So...I’m not for sure if there’s more to come. It reads and feels as if it’s unfinished. YA/NA aged characters. Seemed out of place with the rest of the stories in this anthology.

Cassandra Faye - excellent short story. A bit dark, a bit dubious, lots erotic. And complete! Also actually one that I wish was longer. New to me author. I’ll definitely check out any other works she may have.

I'll begin by saying that I think it's very messed up how there are two "official" listing for this book. There should be one, this one, because Addison Cain is the first author listed and her story is the first one in the book. Addison is part of many other group books where there's only one official listing to them, where the order of the authors is correct. I think that sometimes authors are sneaky and selfish.

I read these group project books mostly because of Addison anyways, as I'm not a fan of the other authors.

Quick review for my reference.

Addison Cain- I enjoyed this story and hope to read more of it soon. If only she would finish her series. Catacombs is the prequel.

Zoe Blake- Got to chapter 5 until I realized I was not enjoying it. Hard pass.

Nine dark vampire reads with loads of drama, suspense and steam. The stories are fast-paced some are just prequels that may end with a cliff-hanger others are complete reads. All have strong characters with twists and turns lots of emotion and are so intense. I was hooked from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from each of these authors. I loved it!

OMG! This anthology was absolutely fantastic. While I was familiar with a couple of the authors, I discovered new ones. The stories are short reads and have all the darkness and spice I love! Okay anthology, there were a couple stories I really liked, and others were just eh. Only a couple were actually dark in my opinion, and though some of them were really steamy, I felt like this anthology is pretty much just about sex without any actual substance to them.

My oh my, this had a bit of all, some were so dark I had a hard time going on but I needed to know how it ended and some were the total opposite spectrum, all had excellent writing though.

Addison Caine kicked it off in her own fashion......I wasn't sure what was going on and still feel like I'm a bit shell shocked but Jade is compelling. As Lucifer's daughter she has had anything but a good life.....some of her back story made me cringe for her and now we have to wait and see where it's going next...…...someone needs to be the keeper of Addison and make her finish and quit teasing us with more stories.

Zoe Blake had a very dark story. It was compelling, like a horror movie you want to cover your eyes and keep peeking because you just have to know what happens, the not knowing would drive you crazy...….lets just say I peeked, skipped and came back to finally finish it.

Alta Hensley was a bit different, I couldn't decide if I agreed with Ada and her choices but they are hers......he is what she wants. Guess I'll have to see what happens next in this story too. Valian and Ada ended up intriguing me in the end.

Myra Danvers I think had the villain, if you want to call him that, that I detested the most. Axton had no clue what his life was to be after his Dam, as he calls her, changed him. The changes he goes through, the depravity and evil...….it would have a profound effect on anyone...….I need to see if he gets vengeance on Myron!

Eris Adderly was a change from the stories before her. It had me from the beginning. I'm hooked on this story and need to see what happens next. Not often we get a completely new world, so well written in such a short story. Very well done.

Livia Bourne had one I really loved. Lily is no wimpy female. There's just something about Armand I really loved. He's getting a whole new chance at life thanks to her and I'm definitely going to be waiting on more of this....it better have a full length book coming....I'm not afraid to stalk if needed.

Sara Fields pushed the boundaries again, LOL. I loved Ruby she had plenty of fire but the name she chose...….oh man I see people complaining over it. Also another story that needs more, more, more. I need to know what happens next, gonna be interesting to see her grow and evolve.

Anita Gray had one that was just, welllllll sad. It made me sad, I totally get why it was written this way but still...sad. Maybe it is a fake ending and we will get more???? That would be awesome....was just a dream, just kidding!!

Cassandra Faye had hands down my favorite story in the set. Grace's story started in a super dark creepy way, I was like WTH??? What's going on?? And then we get the twist, I wouldn't mind more of this couple, this world....it was just amazing. Think I have a thing for Nic now.

Cathedral by Addison Cain:
I've never been interested in horror romance but as much as I say that, I couldn't stop reading this story. It's part romance, part horror and I have to say I want the rest of this story. I will be watching to see if Ms. Cain finishes this.

Till The end of Time: by Zoe Blake:
To be honest here, I struggled to get through this story. It was way to dark for me and included hard limits in reading for me. Yes, I finished it but this is one that, personally, I did not like.

Master of Ceremonies by Alta Hensley:
This was a really good story and of course, I want more of Ada and Valian's story. The plot kept me turning the pages and I hope she finishes this because I want to know what happens to Dinah.

Enthralled by Myra Danvers:
Again, I had trouble getting into this story but I would be interested in seeing what is going to happen with Axton.

V Is For Vampire by Eris Edderly:
A new author for me. The world building was awesome and I'm definitely interested in more.

Blinding Salvation by Livia Bourne:
One of my favorite stories. I can't wait to see more because Lily and Armand were great together.

The Devil's Game by Sara Fields:
One scene....WOW! Ruby and Cain are probably one of my favorite couples out of all the stories. I love a well written Demon story and this one hit all the right note for me.

To My End by Anita Gray:
While I wasn't distubed at this story,it did make me a little sad. Did Sonny really end Vi's life or is there more to come? We shall see I suppose!

Sweet Ruin by Cassandra Faye:
This story is hands down, my favorite. Who is Nic and did Grace really dream all of that or did it really happen? I'm on pins and needles waiting for more of this one!!!

All in all, this anthology was a good one. Yes, there were stories that I just could not get into but that is just me. I know others will love them. If you like horror romance, then you will love this collection. And even if you don't, there are several stories that are really good. Get the collection and see what you think! Are you brave enough? So...I mainly read this anthology because two of the authors I'm currently following have stories in here and my review will focus on them.

In Addison Cain's Cathedral, we meet Jade who is someone I didn't expect to ever meet. I've read of her parents before and their story is one that we never quite knew what happened at the end. So you see, this is a very nice surprise for me and many readers. Her story though, is bittersweet. She is bound to her duty, unable to escape even if she wants to. There is no place far enough from hell that she can ever escape to. No matter what little enjoyment she does happen upon, it doesn't last, not really, especially for one such as her. That ending though...I hope there is more because the one thing she may want more than anything in the world, may be within her grasp if she can only overlook the feelings that she has clung on to all these years.

In Myra Danvers' Enthralled, we meet Axton, who wasn't exactly who I thought I was reading at first, LOL. Tricky Myra, she had me thinking it was a mother and her child at first. However, that is not entirely wrong either! He gets quite a bit of rude awakening in this short. Just when he thought he knew what was, he learns the hard truth of the life he has been ushered into. There are consequences to what his "mother" has done and he gets to bare the brunt of it. It's really interesting though, that this character is male, whereas most of the characters I've read usually starts from the female's character POV. Thus I am entirely intrigue with Axton and what his plans are going to be.

If you read/follow any of these authors, this is a nice anthology to read. I've read books by some of these authors so I am used to their writing and am not easily offended by their writings. If you are new to them, it will at least give you a taste of them and what they are capable of. Beware though, these aren't complete stories of their own. They are either part of another series or prequels to a series the authors are writing. If I am not too lazy, I will come back and write more on each story, LOL.

This anthology was so fun, creative, and unexpected! I felt like the vampire thing was overdone and redundant. This anthology proved me wrong and I loved how different each story is. This book is full of variety, and I loved it!

Cathedral by Addison Cain
Jade is a daywalking vampire who is basically a pawn of her father’s. She’s lived lifetimes of spying on rich and powerful using, you guessed it, her charms. I can’t wait for more and the conclusion of this story!

Till The End Of Time by Zoe Blake
This is a version of Dracula and a dark, dark romance!

Master Of Ceremonies by Alta Hensley
He is a vampire and the Master of Ceremonies of a circus of freaks. He enthralls the whole audience, including his human assistant, Ava...

Enthralled by Myra Danvers
Wow this one was violent, but good. Very dark and twisted. I must know what happens to Axton!

V Is For Vampire by Eris Adderly
I have to say, this one was my favorite. Mrs. Adderly is great at world building. November was my favorite vampire. This is such a cool premise. Loved the budding romance and love triangle. I’d happily take both men!

Blinding Salvation by Livia Bourne
Can’t wait to see what happens to Armand and Lily! This was my first introduction to this author and I want more!

Devil's Game by Sara Fields
This was a very interesting story! I enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the conclusion!

To My End by Anita Gray
This one starts out so sweet and all but there is an unexpected twist! Oh my! Will there be more? Surely! Hope so!

Sweet Ruin by Cassandra Faye
Nic and Grace start out dark as most vampire stories do but it hooked me and I didn’t expect to love it at first, but boy did I!

My only complaint about this anthology is it left me hanging so many times, but that’s a good thing for these authors! I was introduced to some great new writers! Now, just to wait for the full-length stories! 🖤

I didn't read ALL the stories. Some of the authors I did not know. So I read the ones I did know. Here is my honest review.

Cathedral (A Cradle of Darkness) – Addison Cain
WOW, being the daughter of the devil is tough especially for Jade. I felt so sorry for her. Her life had given her nothing but sorrow. The girl can’t seem to find peace. I do want to learn more about her “rebelling.” We also have a few other players in the mix like Ethan and Malcolm. I have to say I had my jaw almost hitting the floor when I got to the end.

Crimson Seduction (Till the End of Time) – Zoe Blake
Mirella the wife of Vlad Dracul. This is a really gory story. I don’t know much about the true story of Vlad the Impaler but this could probably fit. WOW his wife was truly insane. But the story is really an interesting one. Could it be true? You would have to research for yourself to be sure.

Master of Ceremonies – Alta Hensley
I love that Valian was so protective of Ada. The fact that Valian has a “freaks circus” was understandable. Look out for Cirque Romani to come to a town near you. This story sounds like there could be more to come. It was intense yet sweet.

Devil’s Game – Sara Fields
Ruby and Cain, this reminds me of “Buffy.” It just felt like that as I was reading. I can see Ruby as “Buffy.” Taking down vampires and evil. Cain, I don’t know if I would consider him Angel, more Spike. But boy is this one fun and hot.

Having been a fan of Addison Cain's Alpha's Claim series (including her short stories) I could not wait to get my eager hands on the Bite Me Anthology to see what inventive horrors Addison could weave for us. Reading Cathedral (which is the first story in the anthology) you get the sense that Addison is laying the ground work for something bigger. We are introduced to Jade, the only offspring of Lucifer who does her father's business, including the manipulation of corrupt politicians and leaders. She is a vampire, given the special abilities as a daywalker to achieve her fathers bidding. Her own private hell is the expectation to continue the devils lineage by producing a child. I won't give anything else away except I need more after the way the story abruptly ends.

I also loved Enthralled by Myra Danvers. She does not disappoint when it comes to falling head first into the depraved world of a vampire and her fledgling, which becomes a nightmarish world of debauchery when she is summoned by her maker. The old saying 'being welcomed to the family' takes on a whole new meaning. Violently sinful you don't wish the tale to end...Other great stories: Eris Adderly's steamy V is for Vampire and Cassandra Faye's Sweet Ruin. All I can say is that I felt ruined after reading what Nic did to sweet, willing Grace. HOT!!! I would highly recommend the Bite Me Anthology!

Cathedral Addison Cain:

In this bite-sized treat Addison takes us back to the depraved world of Catacombs (if you haven't read then I would suggest picking it up before reading this story). Here we meet Darius' daughter Jade who is a valuable but weak day-walker and, thus, spends her life spying on and influencing important men. I won't say much about the story as that would spoil all the fun. But if you are a fan of the dark and the depraved, our queen definitely delivers. Also, I have so many questions after reading this, especially as they relate to Catacombs, that I really hope we get more in this wonderful world.

Enthralled Myra Danvers:

I am not quite sure what to say about this story other than it's certainly not for the faint of heart. Myra Danvers brings her unique style to the anthology in this inspired short story featuring a Vampire dynasty of sorts in Axton, Selma and Myron. While I thought I was being taken in one direction, Myra threw me for a loop and the second part and the ending left me breathless.

Cathedral by Addison Cain (Five Stars)

Wow... I want more of Jade and even Malcolm. I'm not looking for a continuation and a HEA. I'm looking for more blood to be spilled and more secrets to be told. HEA doesn't really play apart.

Master of Ceremonies by Alta Hensley (Four Stars)

This short story took circus to a whole nother level. I loved the eroticism of the story as well as the crazy love between Ada and her master, Valian. I loved the creepy aspect of the carnival and spell cast by the Master of Ceremonies.

To My End by Anita Gray (FIVE STARS)

Whoa... This short story was very unique. I know Sonny's character was pure evil but I really liked the guy. He was the right amount of dark and twisted. Vi... the poor girl... She didn't stand a chance when it came to Sonny. She just pulled in deeper and deeper.

I loved Cathedral by Addison Cain! She is always one of my favorite dark authors, and this was no disappointment! I can't wait to get more of this story. From the beginning, I wanted more of Malcolm, can't wait to see how this story ends!
Till the end of time by Zoe Blake was a pleasant surprise! I wondered where she was taking the story and enjoyed the ending!
Master of Ceremonies by Alta Hensley was good. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned is what this story makes me think of!
To My End by Anita Gray - this one disappointed me. Not the writing, which was excellent! But the ending just left me shocked and disappointed! I wanted different! I was hoping the whole time for a different end, but didn't get it!

Bite me: A Vampire Anthology is a fantastic compilation of 9 short stories by a variety of authors, ranging from dark and frightening to sexy and even humorous. It has a wonderful but cohesive variety! Some of the stories are prequels and offer a tantalizing glimpse into books to come from this talented group of authors.

Special mention goes to Myra Danvers with her prequel "Enthralled". This is darkness at its best and explores Axton's inevitable descent into wickedness and depravity after being turned by his sire Selma, with a brilliant villain in Myron. It mixes pain and pleasure until one is indistinguishable from another, with a healthy dose of familial betrayal and gore. I can't wait to see what happens next. It had me hooked at page 1!

I would thoroughly recommend it!

Feeding the Demon!

Myra Danvers is one of the amazing authors who have coordinated their vampiric efforts to bring you a gruesomely provocative anthology in Bite Me.

Deep and Rich as the dark blood that finds its way down the throats of the demons that not only live on it, but thrive to immerse themselves, Bite Me, and Myra Danvers contribution, titled Enthralled, provides the perverse beyond the lore of the vampire.

Do not go into this tome lightly, as your dreams will be haunted by the intensity of the dark lords and ladies, and their desperate and deprave needs.
