Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!

I just finished reading, Dark Allure: Best Friend's Daddy Romance Novel and it was awesome!! Elle works at a diner but longs to be a chef. She is trying to make it on her own and trying to prove to herself and her dad that she can do this. She lives in an apartment with Allison who attends college and is 4 years younger than Elle. Elle meets a man one night at the diner after he came to her rescue from an unruly drunk patron. His name is Jon and what Elle doesn't realize is that Jon is Allison's father!! They hit it off and go on a couple of dates all the while trying to navigate their relationship with his daughter. To say that Allison has a hard time with the relationship is an understatement. There are a lot of misunderstandings along the way and Elle and Allison have a strained and awkward relationship as a result. The relationship with Elle and Jon is also put to the test. It was a very good book to read. I liked the character of Elle. She seems to be very smart and knows what she wants. Allison is a spoiled rich girl that is boy crazy and her daddy will do anything for her. Jon is a successful business man that has always put his daughter first and had no time for a relationship. I highly recommend reading this book. It is a great story with some very steamy scenes in it.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Elle and Jon. When these two meet Elle is being hit on by a guy she wants nothing to do with. When he slaps her butt Jon decides to intervene on her behalf. Elle hasn't had someone come to her rescue like that and she wants to know more about this man. There is also just something about him that makes her think he could be someone special. Jon came to this bar under the recommendation of his daughter but he is realizing it isn't really his kind of place until he see the waitress getting hassled. He steps in and when they touch he knows there is more to this woman. The closer they get the more they seem to have problems. Oh ya Elle well she is Jon's daughter's roommate. Will these two get a HEA or will outside forces make sure this never happens?

This is an amazing story by this author. It has a great love story a little intrigue and a whole lot of something that will have you hooked. This book does have ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Elle is working as a waitress when all she really wants is to be a chef at her own place. One evening while working a customer get handsy with her and Jon steps in to help. Sparks fly between them and later he ends up walking her home. He asks her out and they exchange numbers. The next day she tells her room mate about the older man she's met and her friend is ecstatic. That is until she sees who her friend is dating. Allison doesn't like that Elle is seeing her father and does whatever she can to split them up. Jon doesn't know what to do when he hears some of the things his daughter tells him about Elle. So he puts on the breaks between them not long after they have spent a night together. Elle's father wants her to work in the family business will her heartbreak over Jon send her packing? Will Jon get a clue about his daughter before its too late?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Dark Allure hooked me from the first few pages. We are introduced to Elle, who is working as a waitress but aspires to be a top chef in New York City. She meets Jon after he saves her from being harassed by a guy while working. Jon is a Knight in Shining Armor and Elle cannot help but be attracted to his persona and looks. They face many challenges once Elle realizes that Jon is her roommate, Alison’s, dad. The couple know they want to continue what they have and are constantly seeking reassurance from Alison to make sure she is okay with them dating. Alison brings ALL the drama in Elle and Jon’s relationship by trying to sabotage their views of each other and end them for good. Will Elle and Jon let Alison and other obstacles get in the way of their future or will love conquer all? This book is a fast paced, taboo read that contains lots of drama, steam, and is the sweetest couple.

Elle has hopes of being a chef one day but, for now, is working at the Vice and Virtue cafe, alongside her roommate, Allison. When a customer gets out of line with Elle and won't leave her alone, Jon, a kind and handsome man, steps in to help. As he leaves, he hears a commotion inside the restaurant and goes back in to help once more. Jon asks to walk her home and they share a kiss at the door. They are attracted to one another and Jon asks her out on a date. What neither of them knows is that Elle is his daughter's roommate. After Allison introduces him to Elle as her father, Elle tells Allison that he's her date. Sparks fly and not in good way! If ever there were a conniving and vindictive daughter, it's Allison. What she won't do to keep her father and Elle apart. Jon is somewhat intimidated by his overbearing and spoiled daughter, but he finally gets it together to stand up for who he loves. I really enjoyed this delightful story with characters that are both believable and complex!

I just finished reading Dark Allure: Best Friend's Daddy and overall I really enjoyed it, I have to admit that. There were a couple of spots the story started to drag out, but then it immediately picked back up and I was eagerly looking forward to seeing how it ended. The female protagonist is a young woman who is starting out in life, but seems to have her head on straight, unlike most girls her age, because yes, early twenties is still a girl in my opinion. The man she is involved with is tall, dark, handsome, and rich. Not a bad combination. And a single father. My biggest issue with the story? The male protagonist's daughter and the female protagonist are not BFF's like the title says. I was hoping for more of a BFF story included, but even without the story is definitely worth reading for a lazy afternoon or a rainy day.

Dark Allure
The first half of this older man/younger woman was a miss for me as Allison’s machinations to thwart their relationship went on far too long. As she played both her father and Elle, it got increasingly frustrating to read. I did like the way the author had both Jon and Elle open and above board about their budding attraction to one another. I also liked the way their attraction built up with their relationship growing into something beyond just lust.
The second half was much better with Jon finally wising up. That combined with Elle’s take charge and confrontational attitude had me thinking, YES!!
The storyline went uphill from there but Allison’s turnaround wasn’t enough for me to forgive her. I think her actions went over the line and crossed into evil versus childish jealousy.

Allison is having a hard time handling their relationship and she will do whatever it takes to keep them apart. Issues such as family drama, interference, lies, and manipulation are what Jon and Elle have to go through in order for them to have a relationship.Will they finally realize the truth of what is really happening or will they succumb to the pressure from everyone around them? These two have a lot to overcome in order and will they be have to get there happily ever after.

Jon and Elle will take you on an emotional roller coaster in this romance. If you like older man, younger woman love stories, this book's for you. Lots of drama and tension between Elle and Jon's daughter, Allison. She is not only jealous but totally against the relationship.She creates lots of problems and is determined to break them up. Fate brought Elle and Jon together when he rescued her from an obnoxious customer. They were immediately attracted to each other but had no idea that they had something in common. Neither knew that she was the roommate of his daughter. The book is well written but drags a little at times. The daughter was a little over the top and devious in her attempt to interfere in their relationship. Elle was older and more mature than Allison. Lots of chemistry in this forbidden romance. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review.

OK I am still reeling from this story.... You can guess what is going to happen but it's not until you read it that it take you back and leaves you with WOW.

Jon became a single father when he was very young. Trying a place his daughter raved about he met Elle. but unknown to either of them their connection was his daughter. Once the truth of Jon and Elle were seeing each other, then began the twist and turn of lies and deceit

Jon is a gentleman, through and through. Elle is young, but she knows what she wants and what she does not. Meeting Jon was like a dream, until his daughter interfered then it became a daughter.

Dark Allure is amazingly written, it keeps you on the edge of your seat with the lies, but is Jon and Elle relationship is hot, passionate and heart warming

It doesn't help that Allison just happens to be Jon's daughter. Just when things seem to be going well, another family members climbs down from the family tree to cause problems. This time it is Elle's father. Can Jon and Elle find a way to appease their relatives and still find time to fall in love (and into the nearest bed)? Of course they do; this is a romance after all. They hit it off and felt the sizzling chemistry between them right away. Unfortunately, Elle had no idea that Jon was her roommate’s father! They were not trying to hide anything.

But now Allison is raging with jealousy and throwing a childish tantrum trying to keep them apart. Will her father stand up for the relationship that he and Elle have started? Or will he bend to the raving of his daughter and walk away?

This was an older man/younger woman romance. The characters are interesting people, and portrayed well by the author. The story line is intriguing enough to capture the reader’s interest. But will Elle and Jon get their HEA this time?

Elle lives with her roommate Allison when Elle who is working and being hit on by a man who slaps her but and in enters Jon who steps in to help with the situation. Elle has never had someone to help her or save her so when he does it makes her think that he could be someone special. Jon who just happens to be at the bar because his daughter recommended it but it isn't somewhere he would probably go again. The touch makes him want to get to know her more and be her hero. But all along without them knowing Jon's daughter is Elle roommate Allison. Who doesn't want them together and is jealous of Elle and tries to tear them apart.

This was my first time reading a book by this author. I’m a big sucker for older man/younger woman romances but I have mixed feelings about this one.
It was more or less okay overall, but characters and storyline lacked proper development. I found Allison annoying and childish. And as for main characters, it took far too long for Jon to man up.
The storyline also didn’t flow smoothly, some parts seemed to drag while other felt rushed.
I might try something else from this author to see if I like it better.

This Secret best friends dad romance, Older Man/Youngerwoman Romance that is forbidden and is really a very well-written story The story is sweet, steamy, emotional, and intriguing. His daughter is trying everything to keep them apart because she is childish and jealous. Will he be man enough to step up and follow his heart and take charge. The well-developed characters have an exciting chemistry between them and it is realistic. Their romance is a real roller-coaster with a lot of ups and downs. Loved it. A must read

I really enjoyed this book, after reading the last page, I had a smile on my face due to the happy ending. Jon never expected to fall in love with his daughter's flatmate, or that the same daughter would try to ruin his relationship with Elle. Despite his daughters' interference and a difference in ages, they were perfect for each other. I enjoyed the story of Elle and Jon's romance and was disappointed in the jealousy of Jon's daughter, who had a lot of growing up still to do.

Simply A Great Book...

Scarlett Grey is an incredible writer this book is totally amazing with believable characters with real flaws that draw you in and keeps you reading.
I admire Elle and her passion to want more in life than what's simply handed to her. Her roommate Allison spent most of her time being a super brat.
And finally Jon a single dad finally ready for something more in his life.

I love older man/younger woman romances and this one did not disappoint. Elle works as a waitress and Jon steps in when she is groped by a customer. Jon is extremely attracted to her and she to him. Elle tells her roommate Allison about this new man, never knowing that this is Allison's father. Things start heating up between Elle and Jon, but will Allison try and break them up? You will need to read and find out. I loved everything about this story and I definitely recommend it.

Elle works at a café with Allison, a woman about three years younger than her. She meets the very handsome Jon, an older man. What she doesn't know at the time is that he is Allison's father. And boy does she object to her father dating Elle. She causes no end of trouble to them both. They have fallen very quickly for each other, but does Allison break them up? A terrific story which I really enjoyed. Only problem is the amount of errors in this book. Hopefully they will be fixed up as it was a really good story. I have taken off one star because of the errors though.

Jon's daughter has put her foot down, she does not want them dating. Elle figures it may be over but what if Jon is not willing to let it go? A well written story with a twists to keep the moving. I have read so many books where the man goes after what he wants, but in this story the young woman can stand on her own feet with out the help of any man, that is not to say that she does not want the right man in her corner.

The chemistry between these two will warm your heart, they will face drama but they will come out on top.

The roommate senses the attraction and does everything in her power to keep them apart. An older man, younger woman genre who is also the roommate of the man. Jon and Elle meet and have no idea that they have someone in common. When they find out, Allison who is Jon's daughter isn't really enjoying sharing daddy. What shenanigans will she start to get these two to stop seeing each other and will they weather the storm? This is the first book from this author that I have read. The book is a very quick read and I thought it was enjoyable.

The author has given us characters we can understand. Jon meets Elle at the café she works at. They have an instant attraction, even though there is quite a bit of an age difference. Too bad his daughter, Allison, is also Elle's roommate. Allison is willing to do whatever she has to, in order for Jon and Elle to break up. Hopefully Jon and Elle will be able to withstand the lies being told to them.

Dark Allure by Scarlett Grey is an older man and younger women romance featuring Elle, who dreams of being a chef but is working as a waitress, and Jon, who intervenes to stop a drunken patron from harassing and touching Elle. I recommend this well written book which has great descriptive characters and a realistic plot with obstacles to their romance.
