15 years ago, when he was barely 17, Anonymous was taking in by Scarlet. He has no recollection whatsoever to anything that may have happened before that moment. What we learn is that he works for “the organisation” as a professional killer that gets rid of harmful criminals. Scarlet sends him to the police chief of the town for information about a serial killer but he ends up protecting the daughter. This is a very confusing story. Quite a few strange, illogical things happen; people just don’t act or react in a credible way. It’s a short story so, there isn’t a lot of character development. I feel that this story is a bit rushed. With a bit more body and background, it would have been a better, more enjoyable book. The writing itself could have done with some editing as well. I'm not reading more books in this series. I received a free ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
Anonymous remembers nothing about his past but does know he prefers to work alone. The first novella in the series is fast paced, and bloody, with lots of descriptive twists and turns, back and forwards, and a highly satisfactory ending.
15 yrs. ago. Officer Harold Winston went to see Chief Alex Thompson (Kansas City PD). Harold called Scarlet & Bailey (Bailey). Officer Winston went to do a welfare check on Alyssa. Whitts’ residence. A fire poker. Could that be the murder weapon? This is the 6th case this week.
Will they get solved & som0one brought to justice?

An awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very professionally written crime thriller book. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a huge description list of unique characters, settings, facts etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great crime thriller movie, or better yet a mini-TV series. To be continued? There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
Anonymous, the main character in this tale is on a mission. It never becomes quite clear just what this mission is supposed to be, but some very weird and wondrous things happen in the telling of it all. It has all the makings for a suspenseful story. We have a damsel in distress, a murder most foul, a villain, a missing mother and a mysterious person in disguise (Anonymous). It all begins with a murder scene. Anonymous, dressed as a police officer is sent to the sheriff's office to help in the investigation. At least that is what it seems to be. The sheriff sends him to pick up his daughter and to look after her. That's when things really get strange. Many questions do not get answered before the tale abruptly ends, leaving the reader wondering what next might happen in this nightmarish setting. Waiting for the next installment in this one.
This was a short and quick read, only 54 pages and although I enjoyed it, and you might too, it was a little disjointed for me. Interesting premise and certainly has promise for future further development, but it was just a little too disconnected. Timelines weren't consistent, but, besides that, give it a shot, you might like it, and once last important thing: This is a trigger warning...this book is completely ADULT, contains graphic situations and violence which may be distasteful to some. Fast paced, give it a shot. I initially received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest, unsolicited review. All opinions expressed are mine.
It's good to see a group that want to help people when the police can't. The man that helps doesn't know his name and is trying to find out about himself and some visions he has. At the same time he works for a secret agency who helps to take take down bad guys. They do this cause the police never seem like there doing anything. Anonymous figures out who was doing all the crimes and takes him down in the end, he also finds a women that has been missing for a few years and is the mother of the daughter that anonymous was protecting. The women also knows about anonymous's past and is willing to tell him...
"In the Blood of Justice" was an interesting read. First, I was intrigued by the plot, so I kept wanting to read more and more. Then, the plot twisted up in a knot when one of the characters was acting on his incestuous feelings. At that point, I wanted to read to see how the pieces of the puzzle were fitting together. Finally, another character revealed herself to be a lady named Mary Susan; however, just as quickly, she was referred to by the name of Hayley!!??! I'm totally confused now! At least, we learn Anonymous' name.
This story starts off with a bang and doesn't really stop until the end. And then, that is a cliffhanger, so you're still hanging on for dear life. It is a very weird story and you just have to go with it and not dissect every little thing. There is lots of gore and very little character development but it seems like that might be coming in the next installment. I am willing to give it a try and see what develops. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Discombobulated dream? I'm not sure what this was that I just read, but it's a mess, both in the telling and editing. Well, maybe I shouldn't knock the editing, it might have been intentional. Based on the rest of the story, it's really hard to tell what might have been intentional and what is just a lack of editing/writing skills. Not even sure who wrote it. Naddia or John or? Just know I wouldn't take credit for it.
In The Blood of Justice: (Anonymous Series Book 1), my first read from author Nadia Siddiqui. The book takes off at a trot, quickly moves to a gallop, and soon after an all-out run. After reading this book I look forward to reading more from this author and more in this series. "I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." In this mystery, every new book is a continuation of the previous events. In the beginning, Anonymous doesn't know who he is. Working for a secret agency he is simply known as Anonymous. He also has visions, some very horrifying. But now he knows who he is and has completed his assignment so, on to the next book, Powerr of the Blood!
This book is not a genre that I would have chosen but I have to admit it was riveting. A man called Anonymous who has no memory of his past and an unknown future is chasing down killers. There are many twists in the story, some explained and some not, perhaps leaving it to the reader's imagination. Perhaps Book 2 has the answers...
plot could be good, but the writing is very disjointed
I kept reading because I wanted to know the ending, but much of the language didn’t fit the characters or the situations they were in. Talking harsh language when consoling language would be expected, or using non-police language when it was called for. Re-write the story and find a good editor.
I really have no idea what this book is about, but I read it rapidly and with enjoyment. I need to read the next one to satisfy my curiosity. Read only if you enjoy conundrums.
Wow, this is certainly a twisted thriller. Just when I thought I figured the story out, it took a huge left turn. This story kept me entranced to the last word. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I received an ARC for an objective review.
This book has for me the makings of a good story with a little more refinement, the story is there just a little disjointed, I do like the book and I look forward to the next instalment. Thank you Nadia for this free copy and I wanted to leave an honest review.
Chilling. An assassin who cannot remember his past tracks down violent killers while trying to uncover his past. He believes the company he works for has the information he wants but won't divulge it. Cliffhanger ending.
Interesting mystery; fairly well-written. Characters are a little strange. I kept expecting the main character to have supernatural powers. Hopefully the second book will give more information about him.
Tracking a serial killer, Anonymous is tasked with finding and killing him. This story has a touch of the paranormal. My only complaint is that it is done in serial form and like my stories to actually end.
The storyline is a little difficult to follow. Seems to be multiple people causing the mayhem and moving at 'super human' speed. The dialogue is also a little stiff and forced. I'm sure it improves as her style matures, but I don't think I'll be reading any more
A tale of murder with a trail that leads to a twisted mind wreaking havoc in a small community for vengance. A vigilante from a secret organisation seeking their own answers is sent to solve the murders.
I enjoyed the book but it all seemed kinda scattered in the beginning. I look forward to the next episode since I know how these characters are connected now. Well done John
I received this through another authors promotion. I short story, with promise. An intriguing plot, interesting characters and fast paced. Looking forward to the rest of the story.
