Thi book was unnecessary, in my opinion. It could have been summarized in one or two paragraphs and b fan with another couple that was interesting. They went over Natalie and Drew. She complained through out the whole book about everything and they painted Andrew as this very playful teenager instead of the mature adult from the last book. They flipped flopped from characters and never really explained anything of important. I've given all these books 5 stars and only the first book a 4, but this book really deserves a 2 star. I hope the next book is better than this whinny book. It took me 3 days because it was so boring but normally a book takes me 5 hours tops. I love this author and this series but this one was poor at best. Sorry

I like this series a lot. But I wish that the author would hurry up Nathalie and Andrews story. Nathalie is a selfish, whiner, whose jealousy is petulant and unfounded. She has a completely devoted mate yet she questions everything and everyone. Good grief girl, get a grip! I want to shake her and tell her to stop whinning and be grateful for her life.

I'm glad I kept reading

I was annoyed in the beginning of the book because it dragged along. This author tends to use too much introspection and she could cut out or shorten some scenes.

I also think Nathalie is uptight and a complainer.

Luckily, the pace picked up and there were a lot of storylines goin on. There was Carol and Robert's story and the story of Alex being a human sex trafficker. The clan is dealing with the aftermath of taking down the Doomers and rescuing the women who were captive. Then there is the new story of Losham developing. Also, Bhathain is still looking for Nathalie's mother, Eva. Did I miss anything? These are exciting stories.

Lesson learned. Keep reading.

Dark Warrior's Legacy

As with the last book, I found that I still didn't like Nathalie. She's still very whiny and jealous, and she's so easily offended by the least little things.

I didn't care for Losham's chapters. They didn't add anything to the story.

I did like Anandur and Onegus in the rescue...but then, Anandur is one of my favorite characters.

I didn't like Robert in the beginning. For a Doomer, he's very judgmental (as in the pot calling the kettle black)...he really knows nothing about Carol but repeatedly refers to Carol as a slut or a whore...but then says (or thinks) things like "We all do we have to in order to survive" and that he was "impressed" with her and she was a tough woman. The more he kept saying it--or thinking it--the more I disliked him. Maybe he'll do a 180 and stop being a judgmental jerk. I believe they are actually true mates and something in them I'd keeping them apart.

I'm still hanging in here, on my way to book #11. I'm hoping the whininess of the women is cut down... maybe Carol could go back to Guardian training... I'd love to see more kick-ass women in the next books!

I’ve been on a roll reading the series from book 1. When the story about Andrew and Nathalie started, I was very taken with Nathalie. However, as the story progressed, it got harder to get through the Nathalie chapters.

I agree with what some of the others are saying about this book and it wasn’t really necessary. I practically just swiped through any of the chapters that had Nathalie in it and that’s how I was able to finish the book.

Trying to say more, I find it hard to not just bash Nathalie. I’ve NEVER felt this strong dislike towards any character in any book I’ve ever read!!! So I’ll just leave it at that. Can’t believe one character almost kept me from continuing with the series...smh...

Not a favourite

The book was okay for the most part but Andrew and Natalie aren't going to ever be my fave couple or even in the top 20. All Andrew wanted to do was have sex sex sex and more sex geez and Natalie just worried amd complained about every little thing annoying woman geez. When ever Natalie and Andrew were the main focus I just skipped on through the chapter sighh sickening!!!

This entire book could have been a 1/4 of the length. The parts I was most interested in were glossed over and just eluded to while weird mundane stuff was emphasized. I have a desire to see how the story is resolved but I'm starting to be annoyed at the filler.

Amazing! Can't wait for Book 11!

Andrew and Nathalie...their story continues with many wonderful surprises, including the search for her mother.
Alex is in for a rude awakening...
Then there's Carol and the ex-Doomer who saved her, Richard. Their story also unfolds, with unbelievable moments and heartwarming surprises. Has Carol changed? Only time will tell.
A new enemy is on the scene and the Klan has no idea what's in store for them. After all of the celebrations die down, what will happen next? I'd say we'll find out in the next book.
Warrior's Legacy is charming, emotional, definitely action packed and written as beautifully as all the other books in the series. It's one of my favorites so far. Being a hopeless romantic at heart, happy endings bring me joy. I thoroughly enjoyed this installment. Another 5 stars!

Love the books, hate 1 character

I love this series, and it truly keeps me on my toes, never knowing what to expect.

I adored the first 8 books and found the story brilliantly written.

But from book 9 Natalie suddenly comes this clingy, childish, jealous, sooky person that continuously needs reassurance and I just can't stand her! Every time we get to a chapter about her I just want to skip ahead.
I'm kind of hoping she dies in childbirth in the next book or two. Andrew will be devastated, but he deserves better than her! How did she survive on her own for 30 years?? She comes across as a 16yo in her mentality.

I am enjoying most of this series, however I would say that JR ward would have condensed the last four books down to one and that would reflect a price of £9. The only reason I am happy to carry on is that it is available in KU.
The editing is also going seriously downhill, not something that is acceptable at these prices.
With these points in mind I have only given it 3 stars.

This is a paranormal romance series, is the tenth in the Children of the Gods and the final in the Dark Warrior subset. Andrew is getting accustomed to life as an immortal and the potential dangers to his mate. Nathallie is pregnant, transitioning is at this time isn’t safe for her…maybe not even Andrew. Wonderful work Ms. Lucas.

Getting better

These stories have gotten better but the author still needs a decent editor. The grammar and misspellings are distracting. The story has become more organized and closure finally appeared in this one.

Lost interest in this series. Started strong and sexy and devolved into a soap opera where I don't much care for most of the characters.

DARK WARRIOR: Legacy – Destiny – Promise – Mine
BY I.T. Lucas

Series Summary:
From the beginning of time there have been near immortal beings who have molded humanity, been the object of worship but who as a race almost destroyed each other and human civilization.
Now only two Gods are left both sworn enemies:
The followers of Morta, the Doomers and the descendants of the Goddess Annani.

The Dark Warrior novels are Andrew and Nathalie’s story. We’ve met Andrew, Syssi’s brother, in previous novels and Nathalie is a new player, she’s the result of a hookup between the immortal Bathian and her mother more than 30 years ago. In this set of books we get to meet new immortals that will become intricate to the tales and hints about what’s to come. Including a frantic search for Nathalie’s mother.
The series continues to impress in regards to its uniqueness, inventive characters and exciting situations. The chemistry between Andrew and Nathalie is off the charts their story is captivating and the love scenes are R rated scorching. The dialogue is dark and there are harrowing rescues, battles with the clan’s mortal enemy and plenty of side stories. It’s the humor and sizzling sexcapades that gives this often dark plotted storyline relief. Reading this series in order is a must.
The audible edition is once again left to the very capable voice of Charles Lawrence who handles all the voices but he’s especially great at the immortal males who he gives an extra special deep inflection but he’s also good with the female voices.
SUMMARY:
Andrew has been thrown into the unbelievable world that his sister Syssi, who’s now an immortal, introduced him to. He’s learned he’s a dormant immortal and can be turned but there is a danger because he’s older than most of the males who turn. As a FBI agent he’s also been helping Kian his sister’s husband and leader of the Immortal clan finding and eliminating their enemies The Doomers. When Bathian another immortal and Andrew’s friend asks him to help him find a mortal woman he got pregnant over 30 years ago he agrees. Little does he know that this search will have him meeting his destined mate and will change his life forever.
Nathalie has been plagued with hearing voices ever since she was a small girl that has made her an outcast with everyone but her parents. Then when her father was first diagnosed with dementia her mother disappeared from the face of the earth. Now she’s the sole caretaker of her father whose lost most of his mental capabilities so she doesn’t have time for a social life or any life for that matter. When two strange men show up at her family’s café one is huge and intimidating and one is too handsome to believe she has no idea that they will introduce her to a world that’s out of this world, one will become her lover and one will become a father she never knew existed.

Would have been a 5 for me but…

The amount of whining and complaining in Nathalie’s thoughts was ridiculous and over the top. She doubted everything and constantly had negative thoughts. Her jealous streak was annoying and not cute or understandable, it was too much…every.little.thing made her jealous, and this was before the big reveal of what the smell was on her. She took insecure to an entirely different level considering how she was first introduced to us. She didn’t seem to think she was unattractive and her only reasons for not dating were the voices in her head and that the care of her father wouldn’t allow for it.

My suspicion that Fernando had been thralled for about 20 years by Eva was still not confirmed(see my notes and highlights on Goodreads), but more evidence to support it was brought forth in this one.

Anyway, a conclusion to Alex and his shenanigans occurred, though it was glossed over with zero comment from Alex or his reasoning for why or questioning about whom his clients were. I thought that was jacked up considering that we, as readers, discovered that he had been supplying Paradise Island, and therefore Navuh and his clan, with girls for who knows how long. I wonder what he would have thought about it when he realized or even if he knew already. Highly doubtful because they would have killed him after finding out that he was an immortal. But that avenue was nipped in the bud with his punishment and therefore any leads as to where Navuh’s island is actually located. 🤷🏽‍♀️

On tho the next one. Happy reading!

It's been a great series and addicting. I'm going to continue on and hope that it continues to get better than this one.
Nathalie was a great character in the beginning of this love story. However, she has become a whiner, a complainer, and a jealous person for no reason. I started not liking her from the previous book and this one just made her worse. I also can't get how all of a sudden she no longer hears any voices at all. It's like, once Sage/Mark leaves, she never hears another voice again. Blah, bologna.
Andrew is still patient and full of love. Andrew goes through the transition.
Anandur is such a good man. He is all about rescuing damsels in distress.
Not much action. Very slow paced. I was hoping for more of a battle between Anandur and Alex.
Carol and Robert are so boring. I am still rooting for them so I hope something ignites a spark between them soon.
What happened to the wedding? There was no info once Nathalie was getting ready to walk down the isle. Such a disappointment. I was hoping Annani would do something with Fernando's dementia or anything at all. We got no introduction between Nathalie and Andrew's parents. These would have been special moments. There was a lot of other unnecessary information throughout that I would have preferred getting more special moments at the wedding, Annani, and some more Dalhu and Amanda moments.
Let's hope the next one is more entertaining and less annoying.

This is for the Dark Warrior story arc (Dark Warrior Mine / Dark Warrior's Promise / Dark Warrior's Destiny / Dark Warrior's Legacy).

It started strong but I found myself losing interest during the arc. While I really enjoy keeping up with the other people I met in the course of the series and watching the story lines they are involved in unfold I found myself losing interest in Michael and Nathalie.

While they were interacting with others I was engaged in their individual stories; while interacting with each other I found myself becoming bored and impatient. Nathalie has body issue problems and continuously obsessed about the size of her butt. (I was comfortable about the size of my butt until this particular arc.) In some ways I feel the Michael and Nathalie would benefit from couples counseling. No matter what problems they were facing the only answer/solution was sex. That is what probably pushed this arc to 4 books instead of the normal 3 book arc.

One of the more interesting sub stories was Carol's capture by the Doomers. That resolution was very satisfactory. Also enjoyed the sub story with Lana and Anandur. Great tension and suspense in both sub stories.

Good With Some Flaws

I do basically enjoy the stories, and will continue the series.. I, however, am really bothered by sloppy editing. I might be one of the few, but bunches of grammar and editing mistakes in published works annoy me. There were too many for me in this one. Sorry to be picky, but I am. They're like big road bumps in my reading - every time I hit one, it jars me.

Repetition is another thing...but it IS a romance novel, so it comes with the territory (so to speak.) Drinking things on "a oner" could go away for me LOL, but even though it stuck out is minor.

It's cute, enjoyable, summer fluff. For the genre, it's better than most. The slightly lower rating for this particular book is because of all the errors. Her alternate species storyline is original and fun.

Dark warrior's legacy/i. T. Lucas

This series is as compelling as from the start, it keeps you intrigue to know what is going to happen next in the life of kian and syssi clan. Juan is always and foremost to make sure his people are safe for the enemies doomers. You got Andrew whom is Saudi brother who was initiated the transition from mortal to immortal and can't wait to transist his fiancee Nathalie to immortal, but she finds out she's pregnant so they have a whole new challenges ahead of them. Then Juan dealing with the clan problem of one of his own being kidnapped. The stories keep getting better and better as it progresses into the lives of Juan clan . The author never disappoint , leaves you hanging on for more.

Dark Warrior’s Legacy KU/purchased 330 pgs **.* 6/27/21 Andrew & Nathalie, Carol & Robert

2.5 stars. This book was a little slow and somewhat boring for me. It did move the story along but it was just blah. There are still the filler pages to skip through, all the characters are there but nothing realty happens, exciting. Andrew & Nathalie finally get married, the clan goes but doesn’t mention anything really except walking down the aisle, nothing about the castle, Kian’s family etc. Not much more to say about this book. I am hoping the storyline, flow and characters get better in the next book.

Dark Warrior's Legacy (The Children Of The Gods Book10)

I think this was one of my favorite books in the series so far, there was so much happening all at once it was engrossing. The One Thing I found strange was the book spoke of Alex going back to work after all the changes but only the one awkward day, there was no more talk of what he was doing with his government job just helping out the guardians It kind of went off script keeping up with his job it did not mention him working for Kian full time.

Outstanding

I am so in love with these characters. I am well and truly invested in their lives. I love how the stories are written. You get a full on immersion into the main couple that you are following. But at the same time, you are following several other characters and storylines. I love how this time we are transitioning to a couple that is very intertwined with Nathalie and Andrew. I am curious to see what happens with Robert and Carol. I am excited to see what happens for Anandur. On to the next book!!

Dark Warriors Legacy

This series is excellent if you're looking for something a little different in the romance category. Steamy sex scenes, action packed scenarios and NOT another vampire book. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I thought the editing was pretty crappy. All the stories are great but in my opinion Kian & Syssi's story was the best...give this series a try- you won't be sorry!

Another great book to the series

I have devoured this series. Lately I have been restless with reading the same old type of stories and then I discovered this series and it is all I could have wished for. I'm glad Andrew found his match and Nathalie finally got love and a break from all the stress. Her relationship with both of her father's is very sweet. This is a great read and I highly recommend this series.

FABULOUS!

So many things happen in Dark Warrior's Legacy: Carol and Robert finally come home after escaping the compound, is their reception a positive one or not? Does Alex get what he deserves, does everything turn out well for him? And Nathalie and Andrew are finally able to plan their wedding. Is it the ceremony she has imagined since childhood, or something less elaborate? Inquiring minds want to know! The only way to find out it to read Book 10 cover to cover.

I finished this book a few hours ago. I enjoyed this very much. Andrew and Nathalie got married and Bhathian is still looking for her mother though and that is a good thing. The wedding is over and every one is going back home as it were. They are expecting their first child as well only now have to wait and see what they have, so on to the next one. I will be going on in this series. I did very much enjoy reading this.

The Clan get extra Scottish.

The forces of evil are preparing their machinations in the background, unbeknownst to the Clan. Retribution is enacted against a scumbag & a happy occasion is celebrated. All in all, a packed & eventful edition of the saga. As usual everything is written with an immediacy & love that makes the reader engaged from start to finish. I'm devouring the books at high speed, loving every moment.
