From the beginning of time there have been near immortal beings who have molded humanity, been the object of worship but who as a race almost destroyed each other and human civilization.
Now only two Gods are left both sworn enemies:
The followers of Morta, the Doomers and the descendants of the Goddess Annani.
The Dark Angel’s trilogy is the story of the Guardian Burndar and a human, Calypso. Brundar is not a stranger to readers but he is an enigma and his tragic past, aversion to being touched and need for kinky sex is finally revealed. Calypso (Callie) however is an open book and her openness and adventurous side is just what the dark brooding Brundar needs, even though he’d never admit it.
This series continues to wow me at every turn and Lucas keeps it fresh by adding new twists, new possible dormants both obvious and some readers don’t see coming. Her imaginative narrative, inventive continuing world building, fantastic side stories and scenes that are unbelievably believable propel the story. And of course there are her larger than life characters that rule every page.
This series is one that you must read in order.
SUMMARY:

So he takes it upon himself to be her stealthy stalker protector. Callie knows she made a mistake marrying Shawn, knows she needs to get out of this marriage because even though he’s never touched her she senses a darkness in him and she knows he’ll never let her go without a fight. She knows she needs help getting away and there just happens to be a tall dark and brooding, sex on a stick guy who may be able to help her.
Meanwhile back at the keep there’s a lot going on, the clan is trying to discover who is committing terrible murders, they need to learn if it’s a human pretending to be a vampire, or if it’s an immortal gone mad. The construction of the clan’s new village is under way and members are busy picking homes. Plus the continuing drama of Roni and Sylvia and Tessa and Jackson are unfolding at warp speed

Best of the series so far!
I'm a sucker for a quiet broody hero with a tortured past so I love Brundar.
Callie chips little by little at Brundar's icy shields, not to change him but to heal him from whatever makes him so emotionless.
My emotions went haywire while reading this. That's the result of good writing.

Again, communication…
Why is it that no one communicates. Brundar assuming Callie can’t possibly be Dormant because she has no exceptional special talent. She may indeed have one, but it doesn’t seem to be a deciding factor. Instead of him looking into her deceased mother to see if she is actually deceased, knowing Nathalie and Roni’s background on fake dead female relatives and the fact that they believe another clan of immortals are running around, he dismisses the idea all together. It’s annoying for it to go on and on, especially with the case of her being human being the deciding factor in why he can’t be with her. It’s ridiculous. I mean, at least do some research.
With that being said, I’m sure he’s heard about the pull between true love mates and he clearly feels it considering how she’s gotten past his defenses so many times and all that and he can’t leave her alone. The fact that he had been stalking her for a year and the fact that it was roughly a year ago in the story when Kian met Syssi and then Amanda and Dalhu’s romance and the subsequent ones, he had to know about the pull that they’ve all said they’ve had towards each other. It was also clear that Calypso felt the pull as well.
It seems these little novellas are starting to fall flat. I feel like the author is one of the ones with a Facebook page or something that tries to cater the story to the fans comments instead of staying true to the story, thus the slip ups and flow of the story not making sense to fit some request in. 🤷🏽♀️

Erotic, romantic, passion, hot and sexy.
Wow! Calypso and Brundar are a hot, passionate and erotic couple.
I was liking Calypso/Callie in the beginning. She seemed smart, tough and was able to manage her verbally and emotionally abusive husband. But, as she kept falling deeper for Brundar, she seems to have become more needy, clingy and expecting too much from Brundar. Brundar was very upfront with her and told her - no emotional entanglements - no strings attached - he wasn't interested in a relationship. He could not have been more clear. But Calypso keeps pushing him, wanting more, and acting like they are in a relationship when she knows they are not.
It seems that she won Brundar over. I'm glad they are together, but I hope Calypso looks at herself and the pressure she puts on Brundar to "act" like a boyfriend is not helping his situation. I hope Calypso is a Dormant. It would be heartbreaking if she isn't and Brundar finally allowed himself to feel and is slowly becoming affectionate. She is good for him in pulling him out of his hard shell aka "zone" that he has kept himself in most of his life - centuries.
Anandur is such a great guy. He is a joker, but he definitely lightens the mood. I hope him and Brundar become more open with each other.
I really enjoyed the ending. Can't wait to get into the next one in the series.

Dark Angel’s Seduction KU 316 pgs **** 7/5/21 Brundar & Calypso (Cassie)
4 stars. Still a lot of filler but I loved this book. Brundar delves more into his childhood trauma and why it made him the hard man he is today. He won’t let anyone get close to him and it is so hard for him to have more than hook ups with Cassie even tho deep in his recessed mind, he wants so much more but not only that, she is a mere human and he knows anything more just isn’t possible. There was excitement with Cassie’s husband, she and Brundar started a new and it was rocky at times but super hot and romantic at other times. The flow was very good, I couldn’t put this book down! Roni was so excited he may be going through the transition only to find out he was just sick. He was so ready to move forward, outside of his government apartment prison. He and Sylvia were going to start a life together once he finally got out of his prison. I can’t wait to read more of Brundar and Cassie, I am totally hooked on these two. I love having a taste of the BDSM thrown in as Brundar does teach those classes in his part owned club. They are so good together and the magnetic chemistry between them is perfect. Great book but I hated it ended in the middle of a crisis.

The Children of the Gods series has me hooked. I greatly enjoy reading each and every series on the individual characters within the clan and this series #14, #15, #16 was no different.
Of all of the books I have read within this series so far this 3 books did take me the longest to read though. Not for the lack of quality but to calm my mental state throughout the read. This story is a beautifully dark and powerful read between Brundar and Calypso and getting to the conclusion was such an emotional relief.
Please note that when starting this series, some facets of the story may be triggering to some readers. But the story is beautifully done and elicits the emotions necessary to bring the reader to care about not only the characters involved directly but the characters in the background.

I do not find the initial intimacy between Brundar and Calypso believable since they had just one brief encounter after which Brundar secretly watched over Calypso for several months before he put himself in position to meet her again; then they almost immediately became intimate. Really? He felt compelled to basically be her stalker, unbeknownst to her before deceiving her by keeping his immortality a secret. I am drawn to the mystery of Brundar as much as the next reader, but reality gets in the way of my guardian fantasy.

Whenever a new book in this series comes out, I am thrilled! The last few have been less than exceptional however. I’ve read them all from the beginning, and this one was more about sex tools, etc., and I understand why. Now to have to wait for another book to get to the crux of the matter is not fair to the reader who puts valuable time in, with no conclusion, or end to the story! No hint of her being a Dormant, etc. Brundar finally falls in love, is ready to share his heart, and nothing. Enough with the slapping! There was more of that than the actual story it felt like. What is usually so wonderful is the melding of the two. I guess I’m tired of breaking up of the stories to have to wait! So much jumping around too. I do love the series very much, just not having a conclusion.

Dark Angel's Seduction is book 15 of The Children of the Gods series. Wow...the storyline in this book is of the charts. Brundar's character goes through major changes and growth. A warning for those with any domestic violence triggers Calypso's ex husband's character is crude, abusive, foul mouthed and deserves to suffer more. Some of the story is hard to read. The mind of a deranged woman hater is a terribly dark disgusting place. After the ending of this book in interested to see what Mrs Lucas has in-store for her readers next in Brundar and Calypso's story.

Some of my favorite authors write erotica, including Cherise Sinclair, Lexi Blake and Sierra Cartwright.
Unfortunately, I won't be adding I.T. to that list.
There are more sex scenes-more explicit sex scenes in this book than previously in this series.
The problem is that they all read alike, with only slight variations. After awhile, they start to read like filler. My impression is that the author was possibly stretching this in preparation for her usual third installment of Callie's and Brundar's story.
Not a fail, but an average issue.

Dark angel
I have read this entire series and loved them all. I am not a big fan of the serial format as I hate waiting for the next installment. This series is worth the time. The concept of immortals living among us is not a new idea but the interaction between humans and immortals is good. This series is not a good fit for everyone as the sex scenes run from vanilla to D/s and bondage.

Great next installment
I'm so impressed with this author and how this series is shaping up. For once this installment was more about character dynamics and world building than romance, though there's plenty of that too. Engaging, thrilling, and lots of fun, but I strongly suggest starting at the beginning if this series is new to you in order to truly appreciate the complexity of the world Lucas is building here. Believable with depth.

Amazing story...I found myself putting it down just so it wouldn’t end so soon. What an ending it was! It was a truly edge of your seat climax and you’ll find yourself lost in the action and oh, so satisfying conclusion. I. T. Lucas is a genius...such a masterful storyteller who weaves the action and players together beautifully. On to the next one NOW.

I really like Brundar's character, I liked him as a straight up hard besser,but I am enjoying watching him learn to feel. I'm Glad That He Found Someone To Pull Out Of His Shell But I think Calypso's is a little bit to pushy for someone like him.I loved the end of the book with Anandur but it seems like every time there is a take down in one of these books it's always to easy.

OMG !! I LOVED THIS ONE!!
It may be because I'm totally in love with Brundar, but I think this may be the best book in the series so far! The excitement and the danger are all there. Brundar falling in love...*SIGH*...it just melts my heart. (I have a soft spot for the damaged ones.)
I can't wait to start the next book! I'm so hoping that Callie is a Dormant so she and Brundar can stay together...I also hope he trusts her with his past so they can REALLY be together.

As aggravated as I sm right now about how this book ended, I still found it worth the read. I hate leaving spoilers, but I'm going to try to review without saying too much.
Shawn.... what a $%^&! I see a missed opportunity here. But who am I? Loshan..... what a royal manipulator! Anandur.... left the ending for me very anticlimactic! Callie and Brundar... there has to be a happy ending somewhere, right?

The best...
I love this series and I hated to see this book end. A lot of info about other sexual options were new to me. I learned I am 'vanilla' only for lack of knowing.
I learned that men who are balanced and value women are out there. I just never ran into one.
The strength of women in this series is another exciting experience. It has validated my own story many times. Needless to say I recommend this author and this series.... Be happy...

The 2nd Installment of Brundar and Calypso’s Story
I didn’t want this to end. Brundar suffered a tragic event when he was 12 that changed him forever. Will Calypso be able to heal the shattered pieces of Brundar’s past and enable him to live vs merely exist? I can hardly wait for Dark Angel’s Surrender (16) to be released on 12/29/17.

Another Winner !!!!!😍
Great read with some kinky adult sexual scenes ! Calypso and Brundar are a human and immortal are at the beginning on a love story after abusive marriage ends in divorce. Brundar helps her escape an abusive marriage and hides her from her soon to be ex. During this time , they find love through sexual exploration in a sex club.

Wow! The action came back with a bang! Brundar and Callie get more and more involved sexually D/S situation. Callie is so responsive that it leads to Brundar being conflicted. Despite all his self imposed rules, he just can’t keep away from Callie and his barriers are slowly breaking down. Then Callie’s ex Shawn remembers things.

I've been reading this series, to anxious to get to the next book for really slowing down enough to leave a written review for each. But I will say that you get to see a different side of Brundar in this book and I absolutely love the ending. This far I would have to say this is my favorite. Looking forward to continuing this series.

Another one of the all time favorite books in this series and I.T. Lucas is one of my very favorite author. I love this series! As I finished one book went to the next! I dont see how in the world each book didn't get 5 stars. Go get book 1 see what you think. I'm betting you will love it!!! Book 15 if you have read it this far I imagine you agree with me this is an awesome series!

There are everyday people like Shawn and I'm glad he's been dispatched. I don't think years of treatment would have helped Shawn, and he may not have seek help because in his weak minded, he's well mentally. What's going to happen between Brundar and Callie now that Shawn is no longer a threat? Stay tuned.

This entire series is spellbinding. I have not been able to put the books down. From start to finish i can't stop reading. I feel invested in the characters and happiness of each one. They are all my favorite.

Children of gods is amazing
I have been reading this series and it is so good. I can't wait for each new book to come out. I literally do a happy dance when it does. Good job. Great series.

This book ended way to soon. I loved it from start to end. I'm so anxious for book # 16. What a ride. There could be no better mate Brundar than Callie. And so wonderful to see Tessa coming into her own. A great book . I can't wait to read about the woman that captures Anandur.

Excellent series.
The continuing saga of previously introduced characters keeps updating every storyline and the current main character adds so much. Only problem series is highly addictive.
