Biography
One Fan at a Time

Annette is an award-winning author, published by Affinity Rainbow Publications, who lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her wife and their five furry kids. With over thirty published novels, four Lesfic Bard finalist awards, two Lesfic Bard Awards, and one Goldie Award for her fourth novel, Locked Inside, she finally feels like a real author. Annette is as much a reader as a writer and always looking for the next lesfic novel to cue up. She came up with the One Fan at a Time tagline because it rolled off the tongue much better than One Reader at a Time. After pondering who she was at her core, it was all about connecting to each reader on a personal level. She would be the first to admit she doesn't do well with the masses. If someone picks up her book and it touches them she believes she has achieved what she wants with her writing by reaching each reader. It is who she is at her core. Impressive!

The final chapter of the combined Asset Management/Book Addict series, is an amazing achievement. It has a bit of everything; secrecy, double agents, combined forces, witches/magicians, a great love story and of course the unforgettable women of The Organization. These hot kickass women doing their exiting things. There's a lot going on and it all happens at a fast pace. The story is compelling and again, very original. The author's imagination is priceless. I loved the ending and it was so nice to reconnect with old friends. Especially with Dani. Now I'm sure I'm going to miss all these characters.
I highly recommend this one but I definitely recommend you to read the Asset Management/Book Addict series as well. It makes reading Compound Interest more fun but also easier to follow.

This book is a whole lot of fun. Kickass female agents, turncoats, secret agents, cool tech, and magic too! There are some genuinely tense moments and the danger and action feels very real.

Mori throws together the cast from the hard-hitting action series started in Asset Management together with the whimsical magical women from The Book Addict and The Book Witch. It shouldn’t work, but it does! The Book Addict is one of my favorites of Mori’s so I was super thrilled to see them again!

The main story revolves around Dani and her struggle to come to grips with not only her career-changing injury, but also what she learned about herself and her reality in The Book Witch. But that’s only one story line in this complex and well-told book. There are tons of side stories and we get lots of action, intrigue, and good old-fashioned the feels from multiple POVs.

There are so many characters in this book, I thought I would get confused, but each has their own distinct personality and their connections and backstories are revealed in brief, well-placed asides. We get a few glimpses into the bad guys’ heads as well, and it is a very gross and uncomfortable place. I was cheering for the agents in the Organization so hard to kick their butts!

I really enjoyed this book, even though I was worried and scared for certain characters at certain points (no spoilers!). The pacing was nice and fast throughout and I felt very satisfied by the ending. There is some graphic violence, but it isn’t gratuitous and it is treated in a realistic way.

Overall, a really great book! I recommend you read at least The Book Witch before this one. I didn’t read either Asset Management or The Organization and I didn’t have trouble following the story, but I think I would have understood the significance of several events better if I had. Plus, all the characters are so vibrant and interesting that I want to know more about them!

My rating: five stars

Well, here we go again with the ass-kicking ladies from The Organization, a group dedicated to fighting scumbags at every turn, and what a ride it is! This novel combines everything from hard-edged action to romance to fantasy that it's hard to pin down what genre it belongs to. Of course, it's lesfic, but it's a helluva lot more than that.

The story centers on one of the members of the Organization--Candy--being taken captive. Her girlfriend/lover/lifemate insists on going after her. Who wouldn't? But Candy really isn't who she says she is, and this is where certain fantasy elements pop into our reality to keep the women in the big O hopping.

What this book features is a lot of action, some very sharp characterizations, solid dialogue, and a fast pace. My own books feature a fast pace more often than not,and Compound Interest delivers. Combining so many elements shouldn't work, but under the nimble and capable fingers of Ms. Mori, it does. This is a fun ride!

Highly recommended.

What can you possibly add to arse kicking lesbian operatives? Magic and alternate worlds. What a trip! I hope there's a short story about the kiddos to follow with these badass women turning to mush when they're around.

What an amazing read. I have enjoyed all the books in this series. Great to catch up with the woman again. There is a couple of new characters been added to the mix. I really loved Katrina's character. Dani got her own romance with Candy. Great series, which I am sad to see the end of these characters as this is the last one.

Highly recommend giving this and the others in the series a read. You will not be disappointed.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair review. Boy did I have a good time.
This is the last book in the Asset Management / Book Addict series. You don't need to have read other books to pick up this one, at least I haven't. It would have been helpful for me though because the first five chapters I really had some catching up to do: a lot of characters were introduced. Thankfully Mori helped me out there by introducing all the characters before the story begins.

This book is a fantasy setting with very cool nano bio-technology and alterned worlds that function parallel to the one your known with. The story evolves around Dani and Candy, this book is supposed to be Dani's happy ending. But will that happen? Dani and Candy met in a different book under different circumstances. They both weren't completely honest with each other, both for a different reason. The book starts in a setting where Candy is (not voluntary) the care of Sara, her abusive ex-girlfriend. That's also when you get your first introduction to nano-bots and bio-bugs. The Organisation is planning a rescue mission for Candy, in which they succeed but happily ever after has to wait for a moment longer. There are more characters, like Katrina and Lyric, that get a chance at a happy ending.

When Katrina and Lyric got introduced in the book, for me as a new reader, I really didn't know what happened to Lyric. But whatever it was, their exchange really touched me. Their journey in this book and dynamic between them was wonderful to read about.
The journey of Dani and Candy was nice to follow also. Dani being a newbie when it comes to relationships (never had a relationship or sex before), gives her an innocence that made her extra cute in the book.

The adventures the women in the book encounter are well described but sometimes they seem to get away easy. The book is fast-paced, I never got bored and wanted to keep reading. Reading this book made me curious for the other titles in these two series. What is extra cool is that the proceeds of this book go to charity: The Trevor Project and It gets better.

I must confess that I'm totally biased when I read Annette Mori's work. I love the author's style no matter what she writes. She is colorful with descriptions and so very funny. To be honest her humor is so very unique. However, she is serious too when she tackles themes worth presenting. This novel is no different as it has everything the reader desires. A story full of action, characters that make you smile, villains that make you frown, and a complex plot. There are a lot of characters and one has to pay close attention yet, who wouldn't when the story is so very good? If you read the author previous work then you would easily recognize the characters. This is another gem worth reading.

Compound Interest (What a fantastic story and ending

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this series right from the first book till the end, My only regret is the author says it's the last one about the Organisation, yet I feel there is more stories about them.
Annette Mori (author,) did a brilliant job writing this series. Looking forward to reading more by her.

Mixed feelings as this final book gave me/us Dani's happily ever after ending. I got lost at points in this final saga of the 2 series. I know carrying a story into a sequel or a series is not an easy task but I truly felt, the author had enough characters to continue with a good series focusing on each one of the couples story line.

I nevertheless liked it but it left me wanting more.

amazing!

I love this series! Annette Mori is one of those authors that is so out of the box that reading her work takes me out of the crazy stuff happening in the world. Bad guys always lose in the most imaginative ways, good peeps always win and romance gets everything moving.

I think I started in the wrong end of this world/series. It was absolutely enjoyable, I loved how the 4th wall was broken, but also not really. Great book!

A very satisfying ending to two series

As the finale book, as announced in The Book Witch, The Organization & the Book Magicians seriesʼ main focus on Dani & her relationship with Candy front & center. Though promised a happy ending for Dani, nothing ever goes as planned when it involves these women, secret operations, magical influences & alternative universes intersecting to fulfill some evil power grab. Has the luck finally run out?

Totally loved all these characters & they will be really missed. But, hey, they're probably just living their lives in their worlds as we are in ours.

The Organization is at it again! They are prepared to take down the general, but at what cost? He has already put fear into innocent lives and all the girls he's sold and used. Can the organization make him pay for his crimes?
