I love these characters and world! I hope that in the next book they can all start getting along and Serenity grows up a bit. I can’t wait for the next.
This book was honestly my least favorite of the series. I still am not a fan of Serenity's immaturity, but I can deal.
This ENTIRE book was Serenity being surprised and hurt that the guys didnt trust Rayne and welcome him with open arms. Basically what she did was have an affair with a man while in a committed relationship (polyamory is STILL a commitment) and then MARRY that guy. How could you expect them to accept you just adding someone new, that was kept a secret, without consulting the rest of the group?! Very selfish. Also the entire book she's tired, then near the end surprised she's pregnant, isn't she like 25?! You don't know how sex works? Come on. The two pages of anticlimactic action was lame and basically only needed to make Serenity queen. I couldn't even feel traumatized at the queen's murder because we barely got to know her. Basically this whole book is symptoms of pregnancy and relationship drama..lame. I will read the next book, but only because I have so much time invested already.
Wow what a roller coaster!!! I love seeing all the men's relationships growing with Serenity at the middle. They're working out their crap now. What a great surprise in this book. I had an inkling with her having to nap so much. And the twist out the end so heartbreaking. Revenge will be served in the next book and I can't wait to see it's fruition!!!!
What a sad ending to this part of Serenity's story. I was not expecting all of the twists that took place but I did find it highly coincidental that they were dealing with Hunters and the rebellion at the same time. I loved that Rayne was finally being accepted by the other men. Serenity's "illness" was pretty obvious but it was still exciting.
The start of this series was rough and slow but each book just keeps getting better and better, like holy shit your writing style went from a 3/10 to a 8/10. I love seeing the growth in the writing and the characters. I immediately have to start the next book after finishing the last one. On to book 5 and I know it's going to top the other 4 in the series with the way she has set it up.
This book really gave me all the feels. The relationships gain more depth & the challenges they face are immense. On to the next book as the cliffhanger got me again!
I really wanted to like this series. There was so much going for it, but I just got bored with it around book 3. I tried to push through, DNF 68% of book 4.
