When her mother’s letters reveal an ancient tome exists, Willow realizes more is at stake. Killian knows about the book as well and will do whatever it takes to possess it and her. To stop him, they embark on a global scavenger hunt to find it before he does.
On the journey, Willow and Eli explore life as a couple. They’re falling head over heels into bed and in love, now that Eli has put passion before duty. But, navigating romance proves challenging when their relationship becomes embroiled in controversy. Besides warring with Killian, they must fight against the people that oppose their romantic union.
Along the way, their chase to find the missing book unveils unknown aspects of Willow’s powers and unearths secrets and betrayals.
As Eli told her before, ‘All magic comes at a cost.’ By the time they reach the end of their quest, they will pay a hefty price for staying one step ahead of the vampire king. Can their budding romance withstand the chaos and fallout? Or will evil triumph?
ENLIGHTENED is the second installment in The Oracle Chronicles series.
**This book is part of a series and ends in a cliffhanger**

I REALLY hate cliffhangers but, I'm still here. Book 2 was great. I'm loving how things are shaping up but the evolution of Willow is taking too long. She needs to accelerate the process bc right now Willow is a liability to the Team. With all of the things that have happened. The betrayal, the losses, Willow needs to be moving at a faster pace. The drip, drip, drip process is not working. I'm so pissed at the covens and their small minds and upset about what happened to Eli that was awful. Needless to say, I am hooked and cannot wait for book 3. I hope the author begins to move things forward with Willow( Yeah, I'm repeating myself but her progression is moving slower than a slug). I hope the next book is longer. I hope things with Eli are corrected and more "loyal" people are added to the Team before I loose interest. I really dnt do cliffhangers and won't read them, regardless of how great the reviews are or how interesting they seem to be. This is a first for me and so far I haven't been disappointed. I hope it stays that way. Now on to book 3 when it is released.
One should read book 1 first before reading this one to understand what is going on. I love how Willow’s character is developing more and more. I also love how more mysterious have opened up for the group!
So incredibly good. Loved it even more than book one. It just keeps getting better and better. Love Willow and Eli. Love the locations and history about Greece and Greek mythology and how it intertwined with the story. I can’t wait to read book 3.
OMG! I can’t! This book was fabulous! The ending had me shook! I’m beginning to love these characters and can’t what to read the next book! Willow and Eli are such a great couple.
Enlightened takes us on a global search for an ancient book. It also pushes Willow and Eli’s new relationship in ways that they couldn’t imagine. We knew that Eli was forbidden to love Willow, but now they must confront the cost and decide if they’re willing to pay.
These are short installments, so things happen fast and characters don’t tend to agonize over their choices, they really just make the decision and move forward.
Magic: 3.5/5
Despite all the politics and desperate search for the ancient text, the vampire king is still the big bad. He haunts Willow’s dreams in new and terrible ways. Enlightened is definitely part of a slow build to that ultimate confrontation.
Overall: 4/5
Willow and Eli know that without this text or a way to stop the vampire king, they’ll always being looking over their shoulder. They have the desire and passion ;) to see their mission through, making this a quick and enjoyable read.
Reading book two in this amazing series felt like coming home to see my favorite family members. I cheer and cry for these guys. Watching the entire group grow is amazing. Willow and Eli are a couple I love to watch grow closer. The stakes for their love are really shown in what Eli is willing to sacrifice for them to be together.
Moni Boyce held onto the voice of her characters that made me adore the first book. I can't wait to see what comes next for the gang. The skill of storytelling is phenomenal, and if you're considering this series, I suggest just diving right in! You won't be disappointed!
The ending was sooo rushed. We went from 0 to 100 in about 4 paragraphs! I really liked having the foreign language translations at the back of the book. It was very helpful. I was so sad when Eli was stripped of his magic, but my heart was full to know why he did it...LOVE! I would have liked more info on Ulrik and his love for Annipe, but perhaps next book. This book did not grab me like #1 but I still look forward to the 3rd installment in this series.

It was great to return to this group of protectors and friends and see where they were on their journey. Willow & Eli are still turning on the heat in their relationship. I did think the writing in this sequel wasn't as solid as in the first. I would have liked it better if Willow had grown into her powers more. Here's hoping Book Three will deliver.
