On her eighteenth birthday, Sasha Pierce's life tragically comes crashing down. Now, working at a Strip Club in New York City, her only focus is surviving from one day to the next-at least until a handsome stranger makes her an offer that she can't refuse. Everything about Jaxon Edwards draws her in. His charm, his mystery, and especially his simple request; to accompany him to his sister's wedding as his fake fiance and to live with him for six months in exchange for more money than Sasha could ever imagine. But, to top it all off, he also offers her a glimpse into a dark, secret lifestyle unlike anything she's ever experienced.

Not only is the writing in this not good and un-descriptive, but I cannot count the number of ways that this is problematic in terms of BDSM and even just regular relationships or communication.
JK I CAN COUNT THEM AND HERES A LIST: - he forced her to sign a contract when she barely even understood what she was signing and told him that - he “dommed ” her before they’d agreed to anything and before she even knew his NAME - nobody can tell me that the scene in the elevator was not assault - he clearly doesn’t have an understanding of bdsm and yet is telling her that he knows all and she has no say in what she wants to do or doesn’t want to do (ie punishments, cleaning/housework, cooking) - they played before ever discussing limits, safe words, etc? - he kind of forced her to drink when reading the contract and several other times while they interacted - she told him a couple of her boundaries (needing time to think, no kissing) and he flew by them anyways - she went into subspace and he did no aftercare????? Actually he did almost no aftercare at all??? Wtf??? - contracts and safe words for new subs are inherently not safe and yet he’s requiring her to do both - he didn’t even ask if she had questions before getting her a pen to sign the contract
All in all this entire book is giving me “bored housewife read 50 shades and thought it was hot and perfectly showed bdsm so decided to write her own *somehow even shittier and MORE problematic* version of 50 shades” vibes and I HATE IT.
To clarify: if it were just poorly written I’d not have been as fired up about it as I am. But it presents a highly problematic abuser as a romantic interest and I am NOT okay with that. Also don’t want people to get into BDSM thinking that accepting this type of relationship and behavior is okay bc it is NOT.
Dnf 42% The story is a Frankenstein's version of pretty woman and 50 shades done very wrong.
The h is stripper / hooker that doesn't kiss on the mouth, she approaches his Ferrari on the street where he takes her to his hotel and offer her a job <----- pretty woman
But the H is a Dominant and wants the h to be his submissive, there's a contract and money involve <----- 50 shades And suddenly both of them are catching feelings...
But all this done in a bland flat way, the dialogues were stiff and awkward. There are no descriptions...
this book was so good… the way the book ended??? SECOND BOOK PLEASE COME OUT ASAP! i am speechless right now. tropes in this book: - billionaire romance - dom/sub - closed off male mc - feisty female mc - traumatic pasts THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING. at first it was a bit insta lovey, but the book just made you forget that real quick because it was so addicting. i stayed up till 4:30am JUST READING THIS BOOK BECAUSE I COULDNT PUT IT DOWN. the spice was SHEESH 🦋, and the plot was AMAZING. i felt all the emotions reading this and im so freaking excited for the second book. i am in love with this story and characters.. they gripped me so fast.
I really wanted to like it but they got together way too quick, he treated her like shit for the majority of the book, her not even knowing what she wanted, the ending… its a no from me.
Jaxon just ended up giving me major anger issues. To me, it was pretty “vanilla” for BDSM, but I think that’s because I have read some crazy stuff soooo!
The book is very fast-paced, even too fast. I would have loved the first chapters to be longer because it feels like Sasha agrees to the arrangement way too quickly. I didn’t really connect with the characters, they were very cliché and basic.
spoilers Jaxon was annoying and I hate him. He changes his mind too much and doesn’t know what he wants from Sasha. He goes from telling her he likes her confidence to wanting her to be his slave, and when she doesn’t fight back (and submits to him) he gets mad?? That goes on for way too long… Sasha also has a really cliché back story: her parents died in a car accident and she’s “not like the other girls”. The plot twist at the end is intriguing but I don’t care enough to read the second book.

This book pissed me off, what the heck?!?! It’s like reading a rip off of 50 shades with a bit of pretty woman mixed in. How this has not been reported baffles me… Nothing original, if you’ve read 50 shades of grey you know the story line and what will happen. Don’t borrow out the second book, it’s not a cliffhanger - let’s me real.
Stars: NIL Spice: NIL Rip off of other books: 🥷🥷🥷🥷🥷
A STEAMY DOM/SUB ROMANCE!!! If you love Fifty Shades Of Grey then this book is for you. It follows Sasha who at 18 had a tragic accident that lead to her working at a strip club selling her body. Jaxon a billionaire who is needs a fake fiancé for six months and maybe more. Jaxon offers Sasha a deal of a lifetime that Sasha can't refuse.
The spiciness in this book had me blushing so hard. This is the type of book you'll be thinking about all the time and maybe reread a lot. I probably went back to that one specific scene multiple times. I'll admit I was annoyed with the MC Jaxon. But I feel like I don't know his story yet so I can't judge him much. But overall I fucking loved this book.
I didn't understand this book. It was a poorly written Pretty Woman meets Fifty Shades wannabe. It gave me whiplash. I don't kiss but let's kiss. I don't fall in love but I love you. I mean, I don't love you. Let's meet my parents, the premise of the whole hookup, but plays a very small role. Didn't care about the cliffhanger. Just glad it was over.
Idk what the fuck that was. A lot of problems with it and def should NOT be used as a guide to BDSM. But as long as u have the mindset that it’s not real and is complete fiction than I don’t see a real problem with it. 🤷♀️
Is the writer not embarrassed for the cliffhanger that she had left?I am out here coping with disappointment and frustration because I don’t have a clue what is in store for our couple,Sasha and Jaxon.
I finished this,in maximum 2 hours. It was really fast-paced,which I didn’t mind at all.I just wished their relationship wasn’t as hurried as it seemed to be.
Jaxon didn’t deserve to be forgiven that easily since he didn’t actually apologize for what he did,or at least grovel. But,I really enjoyed Sasha’s character and her development.
It was a little too similar to "Fifty Shades of Grey" and the writing wasn’t always the best,a little sloppy at times, but i definitely enjoyed the storyline and the characters thoroughout the book, and the vulnerability at times…🫣
I cannot wait to find out more about Jaxon’s past and his past relationships..although i don’t stand a cheater or someone who’s in love with someone else,so let’s hope he’s not.. Otherwise I’ll fight👊🏻
Plus,I wanted to see more interactions with his family. And the smut is completely exceptional❤️🔥
Tropes included: •fake dating •dom/sub •emotionally-unavailable people
This book is so good, and the spice is amazing. I love how fast paced it was. It sucked me into the book right away, and I didn’t feel like it was skipping over important information. I enjoy a good Dom/Sub and fake dating story.
Sasha is a stripper, and then some. Down on her luck, running from a horrible evening, she happens upon an expensive car being driven by and impossibly handsome man. He propositions her and there is no way for her to say no. His offer is $30,000 to pretend to be his fiancé in front of his family, and be his submissive behind closed doors for 6 months. That kind of money can change her whole life. It can give her a chance to start over in a world where she is completely alone. How can she possibly say no? As I started this book, it seemed like I was going to be reading a Pretty Woman meets Fifty Shades sort of book. I worried it was going to be sort of cliched. Honestly, I was wrong. This was so good! This author avoided all of the annoying pitfalls that can come with this type of story. There was no misunderstandings, and no conflicts just for the sake of conflict. It felt like a real story. Letting the characters emotions and interactions drive the plot and ultimately, pull me in. I loved pacing of this story, and I fell in love with the characters. Bravo on a wonderful story! Molly Doyle now has a new fan!!! Five stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
This was a really fast book. Everything happened fast, but I suppose that was the whole point. I liked the characters, even though they pissed me off sometimes. The plot was a little bit too complicated. I mean, minor spoiler, but for a Dominant who has everything planned out, Jax could have told Sasha what he told his sister so that they could have their story straight. The sex scenes were great! I generally love the way the author writes. It was a fast-paced, small, sexy book about a Dominant and his Submissive. The cliffhanger was somewhat expected if you paid close attention to the plot. I can't wait to read the next book.
I love absolutely everything that Molly writes! This has been on my tbr for so long and I can’t believe I am just now reading it. This book was SO good and so hot! I am literally obsessed with Jaxon even when he is being a closed off jerk! The relationship between him and Sasha is heartbreaking, full of lust, and definitely entertaining. I cannot wait to read the next book, especially since this one ends in a cliffhanger!
Okay, so far this was an interesting read, and it has some plot that was quiet shocking and also confusing for me, this is what I want in a dark romance book. Overall I was highly entertained by their story and the others, it was a major plot twist when Marnie appeared, like she just came out of nowhere, and now I'm starting to believe Jaxon doesn't really love Sasha, but that's just my opinion. I just hope Sasha will do something about this, and will have a happy life...
This was a great start and I need to know what happens!! Who is she? What happens after this? I NEED answers. This is definitely one way to keep your readers in anticipation!
Second book I am reading from this author and I truly cannot wait for more!
Absolutly loved this book. The plot, the details. Everything was just perfect. I have never finished a book this quick in my life. The ending tho..... I NEED BOOK 2. AND I NEED IT NOW
I get a lot of Fifty Shades vibes from this book. And I like it. However, I don’t understand one thing. How does the main character of a story, any story, fall in love with someone within 6 weeks? It just seems so fast. I am more guarded with my emotions and maybe that accounts for some of the difference, but I still don’t understand it. In this book, half the time they knew each other was spent with her angry at him and only exchanging the bare minimum of conversation while letting him fuck her into oblivion every night. How can she be sure she loves him? And also, why does she think pain will make her forget that Marnie showed up? In the most loving manner…dumb bitch.

I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. But Sasha and Jaxon were EVERYTHING. This book is definitely 18+ and has very mature scenes including BDSM but this book is so much more than that. Both characters have deep emotional trauma that they have to work through and the love them have for each is clear. There were so many plot twists and even though it was instant connection there was still so much drama and emotional connection between Sasha and Jaxon. I need the second book to come out because I need to know what happens between their relationship!
If you’re looking for a book with a mix of all aspects or romance, this book is for you. It has everything you need to make a romance 5 stars!!
Ok. I need a Jaxon in my life. The emotion. The trust. The overall theme of this book rocked me to the core. I loved watching these two fall into a “relationship” and mean so much to each other. Cue cliffhanger. My emotions were all over the place.
This author takes this man who craves things one way and makes him come to life in front of your eyes. Molly Doyle has completely left me hanging onto the edge of my seat, begging for more (which I literally asked her for 😂). She taps into your emotions with every word on the page. I was emotionally invested by the end and wanted to throw my kindle.
The way she has weaved all of these characters together and made them broken was heartfelt and real. She definitely has hooked me on all things Molly Doyle. Such a great book with a great storyline.
Jaxon and Sasha. Words can’t describe what I felt by the end of this book. What starts a convenience turns into so much more. It includes so many ups and downs with themselves and outside people, I wasn’t sure which way to turn. It is worth reading every word because it was magic and captured my attention from the beginning. I highly recommend this book.
Absolutely gripping nail biting sensational book, once you start reading it you definitely can’t put it down. Pretty women meets fifty shades but with a twist not your average love story, and nothing you’ve read before, it’s full of laughter, sadness and passion and you certainly won’t regret reading Dominant Desires. You’ll fall instantly in love with these amazing characters like I did when I first read this book when it was written on wattpad. Sasha and Jaxon love story has only just begun and I can’t wait to see what they face next together. I have followed Molly Doyle from day one on Wattpad and I instantly fell in love with this book, the passion and emotion she used whilst writing this book shows as it screams out from every page. Congratulations Molly you are an exceptional writer and now published author, all your fans on wattpad are so proud of you, can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!!
- this beginning is so fast. - how did she agree without even looking him up? - shouldn’t they agree to get tested to be safe…? - did this all really happen within one day? - dialogue feels choppy. Why not use contractions? Why is it “I have missed you” and not “I’ve missed you”. Reads unnaatural to me - …. They’re supposed to be engaged. Shouldn’t they talk and get their stories straight before meeting thr family?? - ya where’s the ring? This plan does not seem thought out at all - that was a quick end to the no kissing rule. And not even halfway through - … what do they need to get away from?? Nothing has happened??? - does the internet not exist in this world? Why doesn’t she use it? To look him up. To look up a Marnie? - these people are giving me whiplash. especially jaxon. Wtf. Every other page he’s back and forth - the smut isn’t even worth it. it’s not great. It’s just there - I’m not particularly liking this but I also would like to know what happened next
