Homestuck 2: Beyond Canon

Homestuck^2: Beyond Canon is an official post-Canon sequel comic to Homestuck and The Homestuck Epilogues. Much as with The Homestuck Epilogues, the work is official, but it is considered to be of loose canonicity. According to the official Homestuck^2 FAQ, the work will "continue with themes established in the epilogues involving the blurring of lines between what is considered authoritative about media, and the elaboration on said media by groups of empowerd fans," and is considered an "official fanonization".

tbh, i really hope they finish this one day. i think people really overreact with saying how bad it is. (the epilogues are indeed really unhinged, and i ignore half their content), like it’s actually not bad?? it’s really funny, and i really enjoy the new characters <3 it’s of course not the og homestuck, but it’s still silly and fun, and i would love to see how they wrap both candy and meat up. :) i also just really hate unfinished stories, lol

Put this on 'current reading' for awhile now. Was also an original patreon supporter. If the webcomic does miraculously get updated one day - I will happily update this review. For now, because I have waited as long as I have I've decided to put this down as 'read' - because I think this might be it really.

I liked some of the new character additions... some of the old characters felt like they were not given justice - acting in ways that did not make much sense. Ultimately, the webcomic did not have enough time or breathing space to prosper.

I will still have a little hope they may have another crack at this, but equally do feel this is now an abandoned project. Ah well
