Orphaned at a young age, Dante Stone learned not to get attached, and found a way to protect himself. When a routine mission goes south, an injured Stone crosses paths with a woman that has him breaking that rule.
As a doctor, Lucy Bishop has treated many patients, but none have caused a reaction like the grouchy soldier. She can see through his shield and scars and soon falls hopelessly in love with the man he is underneath it all.
Unfortunately, a past like his is bound to return with a vengeance, and when it does, it once again threatens to destroy what matters most.
Warning: Sweet, sexy and safe read! Happily ever after guaranteed! This author writes what she likes to read. That means there will be instalove, OTT Heroes, and, brace yourselves, virgin characters at times. If none of those float your boat, you might want to find another book. If they do, you're in the right place.

I absolutely, positively loved Stone. I just knew he was gonna fall hard when his time came. So gruff, tough, mean and a major butthole but when it came to Lucy (his Lu) he was caring, loving, possessive and consumed by her. -neither virgins, both celibate for years -dual POV -no cheating or abuse -no OM/OW drama -3 month separation (h gets kidnapped but nothing abusive happens to her othet than her getting slapped around a bit) -epilogues 4 years and another 5 years Queen May, you freaking did it AGAIN. Loved the story. I didn't feel it was too rushed but it wasn't dragged out either. OK, I'm ready for Hawk now please.
I was very disappointed by this one. I’ve dived into this authors other books and I adore how she has written so many steamy stories with dominant alpha hero’s and the innocent heroines who tame them, but this one fell flat, especially with a heroine who had given her body to others. It just severed the connection of being claimed by the hero. DNF.
It's great to see an a#$%hole stay one, even when they fall in love. Stl e is saved by Lucy when he is attacked on a mission. This time it is not the Lucy who has the problem, but Stone's past is coming back to haunt him. Love this series and hope to learn more about the new additions to CIG.
I'm pretty sure that Stone is my favorite so far in the CGI series. It's definitely an instalove story. It's also military style which when combined is my favorite troupe. There is a ton of action packed into this short read. A happily ever after with epilogues 5 and 10 years out.
A quick and easy love story about a military man and a doctor. The hero had some j/p moments for sure. The heroine was sweet and likable. It was pretty much insta-love. A couple quick vanilla sex scenes. Sweet epilogue.
Stone was somewhat instalust and what not. Yes, when they met, the H and h felt incredible spark, but they took time to get to know each other. It was sweet and romantic. Love the devotion and a bit of action within the book.
He’s a man of few words, and is grumpy all the time until he finds his love 😍😍😍. I loved that he was a mean grumpy guy until he found Lu. They are perfect for each other and she gVe him something he needed 😍😍
