So what does dragon blood do to a human? What happens if Simon can’t find Peaches? What happens when Monty visits old friends? Is there someone scarier than TK?
These questions and many more MIGHT be touched upon in this book. New questions may arise.
I can tell you that as per usual, Mr. Sanchez does an amazing job. I say this every review: I don’t know how he manages to get his books to be better and better!
Just stop everything you are doing and read this book. You won’t want to put it down!!!
I can’t believe that we’re on book 9 already. I hope we get to go on many more, erm, misadventures with Simon, Monty and Peaches for many more books to come because I dread the day when they go journeying alone without a book for me to read! Setting is Japan, and as usual the story is fast paced and full of fun and snark. A very enjoyable read. Great series, eagerly awaiting number 10! Oh and on this particular visit Monty and Peaches actually managed to leave a country intact . . .
Like thwarting a mugging on a roller coaster in the middle of a loop. A crazy, hilarious, action-infused continuation of this beloved series. Nothing is ever easy for our duo and their hound, as this adrenaline-fueled romp can testify. Between wanted marks, Bloodhunters, a missing vampire leader, issues with another dragon, and cameos from some great characters, this shaped up as Must Read TV, if there is such a thing. And I look forward to continuation of a new Chapter 34 tradition.
Absolutely loved this book. It wasn't that the story was any better or the characters any more lovable or despicable. The stories are always brilliant and the characters real. This time it's really personal and the story flows in a way I wasn't expecting. Very close to the heart. Reactions are tinged with feelings that add to the story, enriching the whole experience. Orlando, I don't know how you keep doing this but please just keep doing it.
When Monty, Simon and Peaches go to Japan in search of Chi a whole new level of madness is unleashed.
With blood hunters after them, a deranged mage (I know, I know, try to act surprised) who might be gunning for all the Montagues and who has transmuted into a dragon and the Japanese equivalent of the Dark Council pissed off at them things are a little hectic. So, when the blood hunters took Peaches to use him as a bargain chip to get Chi, well... things get personal
And let me say this: Simon can be bloody scary, too. People (natural and supernatural) should stop underestimating him, particularly now, when he finally seems to have reached acceptance and understanding of his bonds.
I think the scene I loved the most was the one almost at the end, with Monty facing Simon, ready to do (and endure) whatever is needed to stop him from doing the worst kind of mistake. Simply loved it.
Yes, this series keeps going strong, and I still love it.
Tristan and Simon, the destructive duo land of course, Peaches) return. Chi, the leader of New York's Dark Council is missing, and the Dark Council charge Monty and Strong with returning her from Japan. The only problem, Monty and Strong aren't exactly welcome, well....anywhere. They must face Japan's version of the Dark Council, and also the Blood Hunters, who are out for...well, blood. To defeat all of these foes, Simon must embrace all of the bonds he holds, before it is too late. This is another great installment to the Montague and Strong Casefiles. Monty and Strong are on the run and desperate at every turn. We get to see just how far Simon will go when pushed. This one definitely leaves you eager for the next one.
One of the best Monty and Strong adventures to date
The boys are at it again, and it's entirely not their fault. Well, mostly not their fault. But what are you going to do when your vampire, and current head of the Dark Council, goes missing? And where would you start looking? In this case, Japan. But don't think that Chi is some damsel in distress, waiting around for a white knight to rescue her. She didn't get the name Reaping Wind for nothing. Something that the Blood Hunters should have taken into consideration before they went after her again.
Does anyone know what they are capable of to protect love?
Simon is tough enough to survive Kali, Karma, and so very much more. But can he survive what he has to do in order to save the dangerous beings he loves most? Vulnerable to nigh indestructible, he still needs his most trusted team to save his own portion of the world - and this time it is nothing as minor as a city.
This series just keeps getting better as our incontrovertibly terrific trio grows into who they are ultimately Fated to be.
This is an amazing book! I love Monty & Strong! My favorite so far!
Reaping Wind is a wild, exciting story! I love the characters, Monty & Strong. They have such a dynamic relationship. This is my favorite so far in the Montague & Strong series. There are several surprises that keep you in the edge of your seat. It's sometime rare to find a series where the characters keep you entertained, but this series entertains you and the stories are so awesome! I devoured this book!
This was an amazing book! Once again Mr. Sanchez gives us an awesome story that keeps you riveted from the first page to the very last page. The action was fast-paced, and the snark/sarcasm factor did not disappoint. I promise, if you are a fan of Simon, Monty and Peaches, this story will not disappoint you. Thank you for inviting us into your world Mr. Sanchez. I can't wait until your next offering in the world of M&S.
Yes, the trio of terror are at it again. This time they must find Chi and set some things straight. Blood Hunters want the soul sword which is bonded to Simon. They will do anything to get rid of Chi and get the sword. So there is plenty of humorous action and you will even meet Rogue, who is a mage/ dragon. There are some secrets but you will enjoy uncovering them! I love reading the books because the stories are interesting and very humorous.
This series by Orlando A. Sanchez has me glued to my Kindle! I need to slow my reading; however, I find I finish one book and go directly to the next. Tristan, Simon and Peaches have me in stitches while solving their latest case. I simply dread reading the final installment. Perhaps, Mr. Sanchez, could be persuaded to extend the world of "meat is life". Sausage anyone?
So much fun to read! I loved the fast paced progression of all the deathly and humourous dilemmas Monty, Strong, and Peaches face in this installation. True to form, each fight is descriptive and snarky. The places to which our characters travel jump off the page. Magic, tons of mayhem, and the bonds of friendship and family are ever present.
What a rush! Answers lots of questions but leaves you with more for the next book! Ends some storylines while leaving wide open others! Chi's life literally hanging in the balance and where's Peaches?!? Monty takes on a secret aid to help in this battle for his friends but to what end? Get ready for the next installment in the M&S line!
Wow, this book picks you up by the scruff on the neck and doesn’t let you go until the very end.....a rip roaring tale with Monty, Simon and Peaches causing carnage in Japan. As always ,the great dialogue, plots characters and snark that you come to expect from Orlando....loved it...Brilliant latest book in the series.....roll on the next one
Just kidding! Sort of... This is another awesome adventure for the Dynamic Destructive Trio! Monty grows a very dry sense of humour, Simon is taught very important lessons in thinking before he speaks and/or acts.. Peaches gets to do a bit of sightseeing.. Get the book to find out details! Until then, Koi Yo Nokan
Another totally excellent book following my current favorite.detective agency plus Peaches! If you have been following this series, strap in and get ready for a great ride. If you missed the previous books, go to the beginning and enjoy every moment! Wonderful. Now cannot wait for the next one!!!!
I love the characters, the Easter Eggs, and the world Mr. Sanchez had created. I buy the new ones as soon as they come out and can't wait b for the next release.
The next installment of the Montague and Strong series is out, and it was a fun, fast, action packed ride. For fans of Orlando Sanchez, all I can say is, chapter 34...lol. A lot of fun to read. Can't wait for the next one
Only someone with knowledge of the dark can save a friend from being lost to the abyss. Loved this book. This entire series stays on my must read shelf. Take the time to enjoy this world of Orlando A Sánchez. Worth every minute reading.
There is nothing better than your favorite author finishing the book you've been waiting for. Orlando never disappoints. I love Peaches, Monty and Simon. Their adventures are always exciting and well written. Hurry up with the next one please.
Simon discovers the lengths he will go to (with Monty’s help) when Peaches is kidnapped. Hellhoundnapped? Lots of fun, as usual, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Simon’s rapidly increasing power level will play out.
Another exciting adventure with Simon and Monty. What kind of trouble will they get into this time? What will they destroy? Is anyone safe? Read this fun book and find out!
I'm already dreaming of the next book. Excellent job, it would be awesome to have a bonus chapter at the end to hear peaches thoughts! I thinking it would be hilarious!
I've been sort of enjoying this series until this book and the one before it.
Because; 1} The wholesale repetition of key phases in pretty much every book. Such as; this is a GTO etc... and Can you, will there be, more .... meat. ( we got it, Peaches likes meat and can eat a lot of it [done])
2}People who claim to love someone and be good people keep threatening the good guys to do what they already plan to do.
3} (this book) They spent half the book deciding that the lead Deathhunter had to be eliminated and then Monty changed his mind at the last moment.
4} (this book) the new lead Deathhunter decided to force Simon into a blood bargain for something he had no choice in and the writer let him accept it. And not tell her to "kick rocks". Just because she wasn't the one who was trying to kill you doesn't mean you can trust her or anything her organization does. Like killing Vampires for existing. 🔩U. You get no favors here.
5} The Dark Council Japan had no ownership over Chi's castle. + Simon is always full of piss and vinegar until the Japanese Council leads him away? Before he's finished his coffee. No way. (Unless they had better coffee. ++ Simon and Peaches were separated by the Bloodhunters and when they got back together Peaches would let Simon out of his sight for a few days without a word from Simon. 🙅🏾♂️ nope
** I will continue this series but I'm not really sure. ✌🏾

No!! You can do whatever you want to the others, but don't mess with Peaches!!! So, each book things are getting more out of control, and now another loose end from a previous book is coming back to face, and possibly end our beloved characters. We know that things are getting bad when they dare to mess with the puppy, no one messes with the puppy without expecting huge amounts of pain. So, I didn't like this one as much because it didn't have as much Peaches as the others, and I feel like we are getting nowhere with the whole Chi-Simon relationship. As always, with huge amounts of craziness and luck our heroes manage to save the day, but there are a few things that just stay the same. There are a lot of things going on and secrets that I just don't get and I'm getting kind of tired of trying to understand what's going on. I mean, they constantly encounter characters that are supposedly stronger and better than them, but then the Council and others fears them and want to stop them because they are getting too strong? Something is not making sense here, I need more info!
As we jump back in with Monty, Simon and Peaches, I have to admit, that this was not my favorite of the series, but that’s all relative with this series, it’s still a fantastic series. Lots of things are happening in this book, including kidnapping, a dragon shifter and a crazy Blood Hunter. Things are going to go all kinds of wrong before they go right, and even Peaches is targeted. As promised, we still learn more about Monty and Simon, and the world continues to develop. I can’t pinpoint the exact reason that this wasn’t a favorite in the series, but for some reason, some places felt a bit rushed, and others too slow. I guess this isn’t the easiest to balance out. There is plenty of action and magic, and all the fun banter we’ve come to love from Simon, and this is a worthy addition to the series.
