On September 11, 2001, all the employees of Forester Financial died in the North Tower, most as a result of the initial impact of American Airlines Flight 11. Decker Banks’ office was directly in the path of that plane which explains why he was never heard from again after that horrible day… well, at least not until someone turned up with his identical fingerprints in San Francisco nearly two decades later.
During an ICE raid in San Francisco, the credentials for a man named Seizonsha Chance were brought into question. Once fingerprinted, the database matched his prints with those of a man who died on 9/11 named Decker Banks. Even more curious, it appears that Decker Banks was being investigated by Forester Financial at the time for potential fraud and embezzlement. When the North Tower collapsed, Decker Banks was never heard from again and understandably so. But what happened that would change his fate?
Seizonsha Chance is willing to cooperate with the FBI and to tell his whole story, but pretty soon, Agent Donner isn’t quite sure what to believe. Is Chance telling her the truth or is he lying to protect someone?

I liked the storyline a lot and was looking forward to the read. I felt that the interaction between the characters was not realistic. The ending was good, but the author copied and pasted a couple of chapters at the end with a few words changed. I like the author in previous reads. I struggled getting through all of the antics between the characters.
This started off with sufficient intrigue to capture my attention. Quickly, though, it became unbelievable and very low-minded to supposedly be Christian fiction.
I really liked this story. I could definitely see myself in the place of the main character and a little envious. Good character development. The twist at the end was unexpected and very surprising. I'm surprised at how much time was spent on the sexual aspects of the relationships especially in a story that is very much geared to bringing people to salvation. I was also disappointed at the amount of justification for illicit relationships. I am a fan of Scott McElhaney's books but I'm just a little disappointed with some aspects of this one.
