বই নাকি মনের পরিধি বাড়ায়? কিন্তু এই বই পড়লে আপনার মনের পরিধি কমতে কমতে একটা দেহতে এসে টেকবে। আপনার মনজুড়ে ঘুরবে একটা শরীরী অবয়ব। সহজ কথায় থার্ডক্লাশ বই বলতে যা বোঝায় এই বইটা ঠিক তাই। এমন ভাষায় এই ২০২০ এ বই লেখা হয় ভাবতেই পারিনা!
খারাপ লাগছে লেখিকার জন্যে। আগে উনার কিছু লেখা আমি অনলাইন পোর্টালে পড়েছিলাম। উনার অসম্ভব ভালো লেখার যথেষ্ট সক্ষমতা, যোগ্যতা ছিলো। কিন্তু বইটাতে এমন রগরগে বর্ণনা আর অশ্লীল ভাষা ব্যবহার করে তিনি প্রতিভার কী নিদারুণ অপচয় আর অপব্যবহারটাই না করলেন!!!
আপনি যখন কলম হাতে নেবেন, তখন আপনিই আলোকবর্তিকা। হ্যা, এই পৃথিবীতে আঁধার আছে, তা ভেদ করে আপনারা জ্বলে উঠবেন, সে আলোয় আলোকিত হবে প্রজন্ম... এটাই তো আমাদের চাওয়া।।।

What I often struggle to find in recent Bangla books is a writing style that flows naturally—something that doesn’t feel like I’m fighting for my life just to finish a chapter. The author here does have a talent for that. The prose isn’t bad.
But sadly, the story?
Absolutely unacceptable.
So much that I'm forced to write a review even after finishing it last year.

The Plot? If You Can Even Call It That
This is the tragic “love story” of Nitu, a teenage girl who has been in love with her cousin Mahbub for as long as she can remember. Yes, cousin. That part’s not the problem. It’s what follows that makes you want to launch the book into the sun.
Mahbub is a pilot, conventionally attractive, the life of every family occasion—for everyone but Nitu. He mocks her constantly, not in the oh-he’s-so-mean-to-her-because-he-loves-her way. No. This is not banter. It’s harassment, humiliation, and straight-up abuse dressed in cheap romantic comedy clothing.
The entire story revolves around Nitu waiting for family events just so she can catch a glimpse of Mahbub… who then proceeds to either bring random girls, break her heart, or straight-up degrade her in front of others. It’s the same loop on repeat. And for some reason, she shamelessly goes back to him every single time.

Examples? Unfortunately, I Have Them.
Let’s get one thing straight:
Teasing between cousins is normal. What Mahbub does? Not normal. Not funny. Not okay.
He mocks Nitu about her bra showing through her blouse and accuses her of trying to seduce people.
There’s an actual scene where Mahbub tries to pull down her panties, and when she panics and says she’s on her period, he tells her to move her hand so he can check by looking at her underwear.
Let that sink in.
And somehow, the book still wants us to root for this guy?
He humiliates her about wetting herself as a child—which, again, could be an innocent joke if it weren’t being used to degrade a 17-year-old girl in front of an entire family gathering.
Oh, and let’s not forget that Mahbub gets drunk during family events and tries to unhook Nitu’s blouse and bra while she resists. And yet... this is portrayed as romantic tension?
No.
It’s assault.
And just because Nitu has a schoolgirl crush on him doesn't make it okay.

Let’s Talk Characters
Nitu – A walking doormat. Girl, you’re in love—fine. But where is your self-respect? You keep chasing a guy who harasses you, mocks you, and humiliates you publicly. At some point, this isn’t romance. This is obsession with no backbone. Her character has zero development, zero logic, and zero boundaries. It’s painful to read.
Mahbub – Described as dreamy: a pilot, charming, visually irresistible. But his personality? Trash.
His language, his behavior, his attitude—he doesn’t read like a mature man, let alone a respectable pilot. He sounds like a street harasser. He insults women, talks trash, and acts like he's God’s gift to earth while being the human embodiment of a 🚩.
And for what?
Because he saved her once from a creep? Please. That moment was cringe too.
Other characters – Forgettable. Flat. Background noise. No one notices anything, no one reacts to anything, and the story floats in its own bubble of delusion.

Why One Star?
Because zero isn’t an option, and I won’t lie—the writing style is better than most recent Bangla books I’ve picked up. It flows, it’s easy to follow, and it doesn't bore. But the content?
Rotten from the inside out.

Final Verdict:
If you’re someone who doesn’t get disgusted by anything, no matter how absurd or vile…
If you just want to waste time on a fast read and don’t care about plot, characters, emotional sense, or basic decency—
Then sure, read it.
Otherwise?
Burn this book. And run.
Far, far away.

টিপিক্যাল ফেসবুকীয় সাহিত্য। টাকা দিয়ে পড়ার উপযোগী না। বিশেষত গল্পের নায়ক আমাদের লম্পট মাহবুব ভাইয়ের ব্যবহার, মুখের ভাষা দেখলে কেউ বিশ্বাস করবেনা সে পাইলট। এরকম প্রেম বস্তির অশিক্ষিত ছেলে এবং নিব্বি মেয়ের মধ্যে হয়। অবশ্য আমাদের নায়িকা মানে নিতু নিব্বি ই। এমন মেরুদন্ডবিহীন, আত্মসম্মানবিহীন, নির্লজ্জ ক্যারেক্টার আর হতেই পারেনা। সাহিত্য প্রাকটিকাল কথা বলবে, পড়লে জীবনের সাথে রিলেট করতে পারবো। কিন্তু এই বইয়ের নায়ক কিংবা নায়িকা কাউকেই রিয়েল লাইফের সাথে রিলেট করা সম্ভব না। এমন ছোটোলোক মানুষ হয় না।
এসব বই কীভাবে প্রকাশ পায় জানিনা। বইতেও সেন্সর থাকা দরকার। অবশ্য কী আর বলবো আমরা পাঠকরাও কম বলদ না। আমরা টাকা দিয়ে এসব অখাদ্য কিনি বলেই এসব ফেসবুকীয় লেখিকারা এসব সস্তা জিনিস পয়দা করতে সাহস পায়।
ব্যক্তিগত রেটিং নেগেটিভে দিবো। নট রিকমেন্ডেড।

সাহিত্যের বিবেচনায় বইটিতে সাহিত্যের ছিটেফোঁটাও নেই বলতে গেলে! তবে কাহিনীটা একটু হলেও মজার ছিলো,,কারনে অকারণে ঝাড়ি দেয়া গুলো বিশেষত। মাহবুব ভাই চরিত্রটিও কিছুটা হলে মজা লেগেছে। তবে বইটিতে অনেক ফিল্মি ডায়লগ টাইপ কথাবার্তা আছে!!বাস্তবে এমন হয় বলে মনে হয়না!

ফেসবুকে পড়ার মত টিপিকাল গল্প, এগুলো বই কিনে পড়ার মত গল্প না।

বই এ আমি কোনো ধরণের বাচ বিচার করিনা।
পড়ে ভাল লাগলেই আলহামদুলিল্লাহ। সে সাহিত্যের মানদণ্ডে যতই খারাপ হোক।
কিন্তু এই বই শুধু খারাপ না, যাচ্ছেতাই খারাপ।
শুরুটা পড়েই মনে হচ্ছিলো প্রকাশক এই বই আদৌ পড়ে দেখছেন? নাকি রোমান্টিক বই চলবেই, এই ধান্দায় প্রকাশ করে ফেলছেন?
পুরো বই এ গল্প একটায়। দুইজনের মারামারি।
শুধু নতুনত্ব ছিল বিদেশী ছেলে টার আগমন। এছাড়া আর কিছু ই নাই।
ফালতু বই।
রেটিং: ১/১০

বই নিয়ে অনেকের ইতিবাচক এবং নেতিবাচক মন্তব্য আছে। তবে এটুকু বলতে পারি লেখক চরিত্র ভালোভাবে ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন। অনেকেরই কনটেন্ট নিয়ে অভিযোগ আছে। তবে কাহিনী পর্যালোচনা করলে কিছু জিনিস বাদ দেয়াই যায়।

মাহাবুব ভাইয়ের চরিত্র কিছুটা ভালো লাগলেও, নিতুকে তেমন ভালো লাগেনি। আর মাহাবুব ভাইয়ের বলা 'নিতুচি' শব্দটা অনেক মজার লেগেছিল😆।
