** 5 Fiery Hearts!**
Jennifer Hines (Hines and Bigham's Literary Tryst)
The Flame Keeper is one of the best in the Healer Series. I'm looking forward to what happens next and for the spin-off series The Eight.

**5 Stars**
It’s the beginning of the end, as this is the next to the last Healer series novel. When we last left Lara, she was searching for Aedan, and she’s found him; in a bad state. He’s been betrayed by another vampire and someone is going to pay.
While Aedan must heal, Lara is becoming more powerful, more, other. What does this mean for The Flame Keeper and for Lara?
You’ll have to read to find out!
If you love Laurell K Hamilton and paranormal romance, I highly recommend this series.~ Chloe Cuthbert (Vine Voice)

Aedan is back and there's going to be trouble.

Nothing is left of Aedan’s House and now he knows it. Baltimore’s supernatural community is in reeling after his abduction, torture, and return. He may be rescued, but he is a long way from home. Lara must find a way to help Aedan regain control before he slips into darkness and loses everything he worked so hard to gain.

As Aedan cleans House one Master vampire at a time, Lara lays a trap only she can, using the tool she knows best, herself, to lure him into a dangerous seduction that will pull every trigger he has and can lead to only one outcome, control or death.

But it’s not just Aedan she has to deal with, her best friend is changing in ways no one understands, her parent's deaths are looking more and more unlikely, and The Mad Queen is on a rampage, causing blood to run through the streets of Talamh na Sithe and forcing her People to seek out the one person that might protect them all, Lara.

With a Fae War on the horizon, she must choose between safety or freedom, family or home.

Sharilyn spent most of her early years on the Grand Strand of SC annoying local police officers and pretty much every one else. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and now lives on a small farm outside of Morgantown, WV with various farm animals, her husband, and three kids who love to annoy her. (Karma is a bitch.) She writes the Healer Series and has published articles for major magazines, newspapers, and anthologies. She loves showing Quarter horses, trail riding, reading, and being annoyed by her kids. If she is missing, check for her horse trailer. If it is missing, no worries, she'll be back.

The Flame Keeper

Alrighty! Finished the Flame Keeper, again. Lucky me to be retired and able to read what i want, when i want. This is the second time of reading the Healer Series. I'm going to read Goddess Bound again. And on to something different until i get the urge to go back and read a Sharilyn book again. Sharilyn said she was working on her second book in the New South series, my favorite series. The Flame Keeper brought love back to many characters. The book Solidified the buildup of the reasoning behind the first four books, war. War and the tyrant who has killed, tortured and maimed her own people and turned against the Goddess. She is ready with her army, and the faes, vampires and those other entities of the Queen are getting ready to fight. That is the background for THE GODDESS BOUND. Here i go again. Thank you Sharilyn.

*I received this book free from the author.*

Aedan is back, but he's not back to normal. He's wiping out houses that don't want to leave the past ways. He's wiping out his enemies and making way for something bigger and better. But he's losing himself. Thank goodness for a creative Lara who knows just how to fix him.

Lara feels lost. She risked everything to save Aedan and now he won't even talk to her. That is until she gives him the one thing he cannot say no to...her.

"Don't worry about it, Galahad. I've got a plan."

And now the fae war is beginning. Lara's grandmother is going insane so everyone is fleeing to Lara. She opened her home (so to speak) to all who want to come. Even her dads. Yes! Dads! As in four! It's crazy and yet it somehow works.

"You have Laith's hair and eyes, Lann's lips and cheekbones, Saige's cute nose and face shape, and Seal, well, Seal I do not see so much, but I sense him in you."

On the cusp of war and Aedan and Lara find their relationship is finally moving forward. They finally realized they're better together than apart.

The Flame Keeper is one of the best in the Healer Series. I'm looking forward to what happens next and for the spinoff series The Eight.

Amazing read

This book captured me as all this writers books have, I cannot put them down. It left me satisfied at the end but also longing for more. This one delves deep into the characters. I can hardly wait for Book 6- the final one for this series, but like the author, I will miss these characters. I look forward to all Sharilyn Skye’s future writings! KUDOS
