When you can’t run any farther, all that’s left is to stand and fight.

As Maryanne Warren watches Rob disappear into the forest toward Nottingham on the back of a horse, there are just two things she wants.

The first is to bring Rob back alive.

The second is to make Gisborne pay.

If she doesn’t move fast enough and Rob dies, it’ll be because of Gisborne. If that happens, she’ll settle for focusing on only the second of those two objectives. She doesn’t care that Gisborne’s leading her right to the gates of Nottingham Castle into a likely trap. She just wants this to be over.

And it will be.

One way or another, she’ll make sure of it.

The book trilogy Sherwood Outlaws started with Outlawed. I really enjoyed that one. It was a mixture of the Robin Hood legend with a splash of time travel.
The second book Outplayed i still enjoyed but a little less. I felt like the character developments got a little inconsistent. Every single emotional problem came up and took about ten pages to resolve. Maryanne's father, Maud, Rob, John ... it just kind of got annoying. There just weren't really any consequences.
Unfortunately, this trend continued in the third and as of this moment last book Outlasted. Some things just felt incredibly artificially created. .
Also ... can I just say that Robin Hood was a winy litte shit in this last book. Everybody constantly tells Maryanne she is being hard on him and I was sitting here and just thought 'Fuck you'. She is being hard on him?! Try giving up warm running water, modern medicin (e.g. antibiotics), chocolate, central heating, toilets, affordable books!!!!! She is just calling him out on his shit nothing else and he is incapable of dealing. Argh! That made me so angry.

Great finish

A good end to an amazing trilogy. I feel like this novel had a bit too much unnecessary conflict and stress involved, however. The relationship between Rob and Maryanne was always in conflict and full of misunderstandings. This got a bit redundant. But I still loved the book. It gave a great beginning to the Robin Hood legend, I just wish there were more novels for me to read now.

I mostly enjoyed this series, this last book had me rolling my eyes a lot though. Robs and Maryanne's relationship is about as toxic as they come. I did like the storyline though and while a few things were way predictable, a few I didnt see coming at all.

>Book Review – Outlasted
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd and final book in the Sherwood Outlaws series and ends in an HEA. This book runs the gamut of extreme loss along with a romantic HEA. Rob is depressed through most of the book. He treats everyone, but especially Maryanne, terribly. He takes everything out on her to the point that the HEA doesn’t fit. The adventure in this story deals with the rescue of Alan. There are a lot of battles where Gisborne miraculously stays alive.
>The other main issue in this book is a secret revealed. Rob is engaged, but has kept that fact from Maryanne. Due to the time, once engaged, the man is responsible for the woman unless the engagement is broken. Their engagement is not broken, but the woman is pregnant by another man and now Rob is honor-bound to marry her. This issue seemed like a huge deal, but later on in the story Rob informs Maryanne that he ended the engagement – no more problems. There weren’t any scenes with Rob and this woman. No scenes with Maryanne meeting or even seeing the woman. If the author was going to treat this issue as a non-issue, than what purpose did it have in the story?
>This book is appropriate for a young adult (16+) audience. I am giving this book 4 stars.

She knew she could do it so she did

Sometimes things just have to line up perfectly for a plan to work. And even when plans don’t go as anticipated, things can still work. The months that MaryAnne has been in Sherwood Forest have been dangerous but fulfilling in many ways. She has fought to make herself stand on her own two feet but with that, she has gained more by being part of something bigger than herself … family. Family comes in many forms but the family you choose means the most of all. And that’s what MaryAnne has found deep in the forest with Rob and his friends.

A fabulous finale to the series. Loads of drama and action that kept me clinging to my seat. Also a touch of heartbreak, an emotion I wasn’t expecting.

This picks of where the last one left off, and a rescue mission must take place. Only things don’t go quite as they planned.

I loved the return of some characters and their integral part in this story. The strength of the female characters is fabulous, something I’m pleased to be seeing more of.

Highly recommend

All hail Robin Hood

Maryanne and the boys are sure Gisborne has run off with Rob until...he shows up out of the forest. Its Alan and they have to get him back. They devise a plan or two, each one coming with issues and set backs. They end up kidnapping Eliza and Bridgette to trade but can they trust the Sherriff to keep his word?

A great ending to a wonderful series. The end will gut you and make you smile.

The happy end was of course lovely, and I love that the Merry Men of Sherwood had a few fierce women to add to their number. Though I felt the central conflict of the plot - rescuing Alan - was either happening far too quickly or not at all. Overall, though, I'm pleased with this little retelling and glad that we got to stay back in time the whole book.

“The best plans are made over good food.”

Robin Hood’s legend continues! The final book in this series tied up most of the loose ends. The book had the same quick pace as the previous two. Robin and Maryanne work together to end the tyranny of Gisborne and the Sheriff. I felt more emotions than I thought I would, but I loved every minute of this story!

I have read different Robin Hood retellings and this trilogy is my favorite! The book has some very sad moments in it, moments you want to scream at Robin and Maryanne, and romance. There’s never a dull moment. You’ll be in some surprises too!

Though I am glad Hayley Osborn seemed to wrap up each character's story with a finale that I was content with, I found it exasperating and almost annoying the mood changes of both Robin Hood and Maryanne. Don't think I'll be reading this series again.

better than an aged bottle of wine.

I’ve always love the Robin Hood story and this story being the point of view of Marian, whose a time traveler, was so far the best version. I loved it and wish there was more of them. Wil enjoy reading it again and highly recommend it

I was worried that it wouldn’t end the way I wanted. It did, but still left me wanting more. Kept me hooked until the very end.

This final installment of the reimagined Robin Hood story by Hayley Osborn was a completely satisfying end to the series. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this series, and this book is every bit as much a page turner as the previous two. In fairness, (and obviously, since the book hasn’t actually been released yet), I was given a copy of the text by the author in exchange for an honest review… however, I might have begged for it… just a little bit.... Okay, I’m not ashamed, I begged her not to deprive me of being able to read this before it actually “hit shelves”, so to speak.

Outplayed ended on a cliffhanger, so can you really blame me for begging to get a copy of this one ahead of the crowd? And because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, I have to be really careful how I review this lol The tension and the drama was very satisfying. There is plenty of action to keep you going, and the continued character development was fabulous. By the end of it, some of the characters that I didn’t like, I found I really loved after all.

Of course, when Gisborne gets his, which we all know is going to happen, so that doesn’t count as a spoiler (I won’t say how though), it’s just… the BEST. That is a character with absolutely no redeeming quality. Just a scumbag, and finally getting his demise is gratifying.

I do find myself wanting more though. There are plenty of “loose” ends. They’re not really loose, technically, but they’re wide open for more story. I would love more of Robin and Maryanne actually together. I really want more of Bridgette, she was so awesome! I need more of Eliza and… well, I can’t say because *spoilers*, but man I need more of that.

Alright, basically I loved these characters. There is some really lovely coming together of the women in this book that I think feminists will adore. The women in this one help one another discover their true selves, acknowledging their shortcomings and inspiring one another to be better than they are. I loved all the character interactions and how they supported one another and came to terms with their problems together. I really can’t get enough of them all. She could write another trilogy with them and I know I would just devour it… and beg for more.

In conclusion: you need this series in your life. It’s a fast and easy read with compelling characters who go through real life things: dealing with guilt, responsibility, anger, and self discovery. Things we all do, and try to sift through. This series highlights the importance of good community, strong friendships, as well as how essential good and clear communication really is. Whatever you’re going through, don’t bottle it up! Talk it out! I feel like that’s the main lesson to take away here.

The first two books came much more easily for me than this one. I'm not sure why except that personalities and decision-making abilities really took a hit in this installment. The characters devolved. Relationships became toxic. Secrets were overblown. I'm just left feeling a little meh.

After reading this book, I wanted to write and post this review to share my honest experiences toward the story. I am not exaggerating, this is an amazing series!

What an epic conclusion! So many heart pounding moments, so many twists and turns, and that ending…wow! I read this in one sitting – I couldn’t put it down.

So, we pick up where we left off in book 2, and it looks like Maryanne’s premonition has come true. Angry that Rob has been shot and taken by Grisborne, she vows to rescue Rob and make Grisborne pay.

Again, we bond with a great cast of characters, including Eliza and Brigette, who eventually join the fight against Grisborne, albeit against their will at first. In this final book, secrets are uncovered and some hard truths are shared. But it’s only as a team that they will be able to accomplish their mission; unfortunately, not without a few sacrifices, especially an emotional one near the end.

And yes, even though there is romance in this, it doesn’t overtake the main plot, and is very clean.

While reading this, especially the ending, I kept thinking of the song ‘Stand By Me’ and how it fits perfectly to this story. If you’ve played Final Fantasy XV, you will notice similar themes, as the main character goes through the game but can’t get by without the help of his friends.

As an overall conclusion to the series, I can say without hesitation it was absolutely amazing and incredible. There were a few parts which in my opinion have not been fully closed off, but could potentially be delved into future stories. This is a fantastic debut series, and I can’t wait to see future works from this author.

Hayley Osborn has done it again! The last book in the riveting retelling of Robin Hood series.

We pick up right where we left off as Robin is taken off by Gisborne. There is one major plot twist though that sends everything spiralling! The whole time we are reading we are thrown in the midst of a family feud mixed with a case of mistaken identity.

Maryanne has grown as a character and has taken on even more responsibility and grown into her own. She’s still stubborn and hard headed but everything she does she does out of love for her friends and Rob. The boys have been tried and tested and they come out to fight on. There are two new additions to the story, two women, one we’ve met briefly and the other we loved to hate. They both completely surprise us by their actions and who they become in the end are perfect.

There is some sad tidings and heartbreak in the final instalment-of course! This ends with a clear ending and all strings are pretty much all tied up. There isn’t a moment where you go “but what about...”. This was a brilliant series and I highly recommend it!

This conclusion to the time-travelling Robin Hood trilogy was so fun! I really enjoyed how Maryanne convinced others to join them, and the outcome of 'capturing' Eliza and Bridgette. There was plenty of action and danger and escapes and romantic tension and arguments (and some tragedy too) -- the things we all love in a good Robin Hood retelling -- and I was drawn in and actually finished the story in one sitting. It was a wonderful distraction from not feeling well.

I really really loved Bridgette and Eliza in this story (and Xanthe too). I'm so glad Eliza gets to grow beyond the catty villain and Bridgette isn't just the pretty face from the first books. And everything wraps up so nicely, after the cliffhangers of the previous two books, thank goodness.

Looking forward to reading what Hayley Osborn writes next!

I was provided an ARC of this novel and am voluntarily leaving a review

Não tenho uma crítica construtiva a fazer, eu sinplesmente não gostei tanto desse quanto dos outros dois, embora o número maior de personagens femininas tenha sido um ponto positivo

Wow! I have absolutely loved reading Hayley Osborn’s retelling of Robin Hood. As with Outlawed and Outplayed, there were many plot twists, a family feud, mistaken identity, action, and friendship. I’m one who gets completely into a good book, and this was no exception. I feel like I know Maryanne, Rob, the guys, and the three newest members of the “family”.
The conclusion was great, while leaving enough open for the continuation of Rob and Maryanne’s lives together.

I was given an ARC of this book as it has not officially hit the shelves yet in exchange for an honest review. I have lived this series and cannot wait to see what Hayley has in store for her readers next.

I received as copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I not even sure where to begin. This has romance, adventure, and lost.
This book starts off right after Outplayed. Rob has been taken and she has no idea what to do. Maryanne founds out it's not Rob but Alan. Now they have to figure out a way to get Alan back from Gisborne.
Long story short, this book had a lot going on. I really enjoyed the way everything happened and how they handled it. The friendships made and lost, I feel really made this book. This series made me what more of the story. I look forward to reading the prequel but I will be said once this world ends.

But all good things must come to an end.

I have to be honest, Rob was a major douche for 95% off this book and it pissed me right off. I'm not even clear what it is exactly Maryanne sees in him other than his dreamy eyes when he's not being a right shit. There was plenty of action in this book though and it wrapped the series up nicely so I'm going with 4 stars for my overall enjoyment of the series.

EDIT: In light of all the amazing books I've read this year, I'm dropping this to 2 stars. A little harsh maybe, but the character of Rob really went off the rails in this one and it became unclear why Maryanne would give up her life for such a dick.

What a fantastic conclusion to the series! 💕As with the other installments, there's lots of fun, action, twists, and feels! You really see a lot of character growth in this one. Some new characters. I really hope the author decides to add to series. 🤞🏼 It's a great group of characters and a fun setting. I'm sad that it's over.

Totally loved this book! It was the capstone to this series, connecting all the books in this series together. Lots of action like you'd expect from Robin Hood, with a strong female lead:) I loved the twists and insite into these famous characters! I couldn't put these books down and was excited to read each new book in the series. I highly recommend this book and author! Happy Reading!

Enjoyable series. I love retellings, but time travel is not normally my thing. However, the time travel parts in this series didn't overshadow the Robin Hood legend or action, so I enjoyed this series. It was fun, not overdone, and not overly complicated--just a good retelling.
