2 DNF Stars
Stopped really reading halfway into the book then skimmed the rest. Very unrealistic in all aspects, to the reactions, to the jobs, to just the characters. In third person POV, so I never really was able to get invested in the characters. The writing isn't too bad, but written in a way that it seems it's for a younger audience, almost immature in a sense. This book just isn't for me.

This is a new author to me, but I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Ashni is a dedicated detective, and when she goes undercover to capture a potential suspect, she finds that sexy billionaire Avinash is more than first thought. This is a well written story which has intense chemistry, and filled with secrets and suspense. I was intrigued and hooked throughout, and recommend for all.

Wow this book get so hot you may need a cold shower I absolutely could not get enough of this I was hooked from the first page great writing job bravo loved it and if anyone is looking a steamy wonderful read then add this one to your list you will not be disappointed I was not, I loved it

I loved this book. Mixing bad ass woman with a bit of romance with interesting twists and turns made for an awesome quick read. The book kept me entertained the entire way through and the "shockers" were perfect for making this more than just your average romantic novel. I felt the book was well written and each chapter had a good transition. The entire story develops and is paid out well which leads you to an ending that makes since and doesn't leave you hanging or saying why did she end it this way. I'd definitely read more by this author.

June 6, 2019Ashni is a tough yet sweet beautiful women. I loved her character, she is strong, yet feminine. Avinash is a no nonsense man and goes after what he wants. When Ashni goes undercover to gather intel, they both find that something that they were not expecting. As events unfold, secrets revealed, the chemistry is off the charts and the characters need to decide the value for love and the risk of loosing it.

The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story, I found myself in love with not only the characters but also the world that was created.
The descriptions of the characters and their feelings are so involved, you can truly picture it in your mind. Their attitudes toward the events that are happening makes the story even richer.

A absolutely enjoyable book.
Such a great story, i enjoyed this book and had a fun time reading it.I
I certainly hope their is more to the story. Hopefully a series with detective Ashni.
I did wish the book was Darker, it had potential but stopped just short of the line and I did see a toe sneak over. So i hope with hopefully the next one their is more grit and shadows in.

While the heroine was a badass detective her romance with the hero felt flat and unoriginal. She goes undercover to reveal the illegal practices at his business and things get heated between them but It lacked the necessary spark to keep me interested. Just not for me.

I'm torn how I feel about this book. I loved the writing, and the premise. I had a hard time with the female lead and her abilities. She gets in a lot of physical predicaments but she doesn't seem to ever get hurt, It felt to superheroish/corny to me. I don't mean to be negative about it, it's how I felt. That being said I still liked the book, I think it it flowed well. The author knows how to write, the characters were real. It was just that one part that keeps me from truly reaching for five stars. Will that stop me from reading more of this authors work, absolutely not. Again She is great at writing and the rest of the this book really was great.

This was the first book I read from this Autor and I really enjoyed this book.
It has hot passionate scenes, a strong woman, a handsome man, suspense, humour. It made me giggle. It has all a good romantic suspense book needs.
I recommend this book.

This was a new to me author and one I look forward to reading more
I devoured this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down!!
There are so many twists and turns it will have your head spinning.
Was definitely not what I was expecting, it was so much more.

Ashni and Avi are powerful together!
Ashni goes undercover, and meets Avi. This book is set in New York, is super suspenseful, and mysterious. This book left me on the edge of my seat!

Oh, make my heart swoon! What a great love story, full of action, passion and deceit! I enjoyed this romance thoroughly. Ashni and Avinash had great chemistry and the sassy banter brought more than one chuckle. Great read!

This story was so good, there were a few WTF moments that I did not see coming.. This story was passionate , emotional and suspenseful.. I could not put it down..

I enjoyed the fast, dangerous world of cops and criminals. Combine that with a hot romance between the cop and her potential suspect and you have an explosive erotic suspense.
As we've come to expect from C. Namdhari, the love scenes are insanely hot. Ashni is bold and tough but also sweet. Avinash is your hot billionaire who doesn't take crap from anyone, but Ashni is going to challenge everything he knows about himself and take him places he's never been to before.
P.S. There may or may not be handcuffs involved at some point!😁

This was a great book to read has well developed characters with enough chemistry to keep me entertained. The storyline flowed smoothly.

Overall I enjoyed this book. It dragged a bit in the middle, and the outcome was predictable but the chemistry between the main characters was sizzling and kept it interesting.

Undercover Affection could have been a book about a tough as nail detective who goes undercover to take down a billionaire.
When I started this book I had high hopes that it would be that sexy thriller that it promised to be in the description. It wasn’t.
Charlene Namdhari promised a detective that could take down drug lords, accept this detective -and the fact that she was one -wasn’t actually relevant to the story. Undercover cops don’t return to talk to their supervisors in a police department and they certainly don’t walk into bars with their partners and pull out a badge. An example of the basic knowledge you can google about how undercover cases work.
Just the fact that the detective used her real name would have been enough to crumble her undercover. Billionaires have google.
The writing was an old classic. Strange analogies and the dialogue was repetitive. The main character knew little about Mr. Rai, which opened up holes for the author to place backstory and emotions for the reader, accept again, she's a detective which means she would already know all of this. There's even a scene where she and a friend are talking about googling Mr. Rai.
A police case is built on background research.

This book is hotter than it’s cover...
...because let’s face it, that is one hot and sexy cover. I can also easily say that this is an easy reading romantic-suspense with lots of action and one helluva twist at the end!
The storyline is good and the writing is witty, and, I have never read about the ball ache that can be extended family, referred to in quite the same way as Charlene Namdhari described Avinash’s relationship to his. He is hardworking and loyal to his Grandfather and the company that he spent his life building. He’ll do the family legacy proud.
Ashni is a kick-arse detective who has given her all to compete on the uneven playing field that is the police force, and has held her own there for 6 years, finally earning her place, and the respect of the guys she works with. As I got to know her, I realised that while her motivations stem from a family tragedy, she is also as hardworking and loyal in her own field as Avinash is in his.
When these two get together, it gets hot.
If, like me, you treat your reading time as an economic unit, then I’ll say that this book is time well spent, and the characters are great to be with. Sure, they are too perfect, but this is why I read romance, and Ms Namdhari’s book lives up to it’s promise in my opinion. 4 Stars.

Ok, so this is the first book that I have received via Netgalley and the blurb and cover really drew me in. I admit I wasn't sure about the book when I first started reading it but when Ashni and Avi met things improved. The sex scenes were hot but I have a few issues with this book unfortunately:
- Ashni's used of martial arts - can't say I've ever read a book when someone gets karate chopped and breaking a pool cue in half doesn't turn it into nunchucks (that I am aware of)
- If Avi is a billionaire playboy, then why is the most daring thing he has done is have sex on a chair??
- I didn't see that twist coming but admittedly I am also no sure how believable it was either
Overall not a bad way to kill a few hours of my life
