My favorite book to read when I am a grouch.

Oscar is a tough character to profile because he is...grouchy. So, things like "yucky food!" and "go away" may be repeated refrains by the reader after reading this book. But alas, we learn something from Oscar's grouchiness. And maybe we also learn what a stinkweed is.

This book series is so sweet! A dear friend bought us the elmo book and somehow we have ALL of them now. Between Elmo and the Count, we read those two easily 100 times each and then needed to have a few other books in the rotation.

The Oscar the grouch book does a great job of allowing the reader to express a different emotion than the rest of the series does! And he still communicates how even when he is grouchy, he still loves his friends. 10/10.
