What happens when you fall for the most unexpected person in your midst? Colt is the son of the Prez, named after a gun, deadly sexy, and not looking for anything serious any time soon.
Samara is an orphan who becomes the much loved daughter of the president of the Sons of Chaos and Carnage MC. Her life is complicated by an unwanted crush on Colt...her adoptive brother.
Things get crazy when you're the adoptive black daughter in a white MC. This is book number one in a three book series.
I was so excited when I saw this book ,I just couldn't wait to start reading.Anytime you can get an MC story and its written by one of your favorite writers, you know you will be getting a really good story. I love that ,the writer gives a real view of how life will be inside the MC. This was good writing and just an enjoyable experience from the very start to the end.I so look forward to the next installment of this series.
This story was enjoyable, but it could have been a 4 star read with better editing. I enjoy MC stories and this one was decent, although not really what I would consider a romance. The bulk of the of the story was about Samara's relationship with her adoptive family. I loved her relationship with her father and that made the story for me. Her relationship with Colt was too rushed, it needed flushing out for me to believe in the two them as a couple. I will read the next book in the series because I did enjoy this group of characters as a family.
I'm almost offended. This book is horrible it bad enough that it is written in 1st person but to jump to multiple characters in 1st person is ridiculous. 1st person requires description you can't half was it. If you going to have different character point of view at least make sure they have more than a paragraph. And the whole white supremacist bull crap is annoying af. Either the club is racist or not. If they tolerate racism in there crew then they all are racist.
So short I really enjoyed this book.I had moments that were funny, moments that were sweet, and sad. I do have to agree with some others,They did put a lot of if it says on race and kept reminding you of it. I have to say my favorite character with meemaw. What she found out about the relationship I was like holy crap, it's about to get real. It takes more than blood to make a family.I love how to accepted her and Chad for her.
The story premise is very good but the book felt rushed. You didn’t really get to witness Colt & Samara’s relationship develop. I would have liked to see them together more. Then I was confused about the preview for book 2 . At the end of this book it gives a preview of book 2 , Grey & RiRi but book 2 is Wesson & RiRi. Just want to read them in the right order.
I think every character expressed their pov….it made the story busy but detailed. Samara was adopted by the president and wife of a MC. She was shy and sweet. She had three adopted brothers but loved Colt the oldest one. And he realized that he loved her too. Complications ensue.
I did not feel any chemistry between the main couple ... and I hated that he liked her because she because hot. They called her ugly and fat ... it’s just not a very good romance.
Unusual but an interesting read. Towards the end after everything became official I couldn’t get my head around colt and samara because it seemed a bit rushed. It was brief but definitely read for your own opinion.
Story was okay. The many errors made it hard to read. Too many characters pov, hard to keep track. Story line jumps, also making it hard to make sense of what’s happening. I barely finished the book and no way voting read any more by this author.
Again, the storyline crosses Colts, but it's so choppy. I enjoyed it because I was invested in the storyline. I wanted to know if it would end the way I thought it would. Again, more misspelled words and disjointed sentences made connecting to the characters hard.
Very short and quick read. Samara and colts story, though initially weird was okay because she was not his biological sibling. I wish we got more information on rage and candy story but it was.clear they were a good couple.
This was so short and quick more a novella which I’m not into. You can not connect to the characters at all. Also he loves her cause she pretty now, lol he said love at first sight um nah not quite hahah
This was a wonderful book to read. Colt finally realizes he loves Samara after she has lost ed him for so long. Grey's book is next and I look forward to reading it
I enjoyed it. This book could have been so much better with a little editing, though. The punctuation errors, missing or misspelled words, and underdeveloped plot took away from the fact that this author is a good storyteller.
once i fully sat down and got into this book it was a page turner. my one big critique was the editing took me out of the story. normally i can overlook but some were so bad that it took me out of the story. hopefully when i read the rest of the series (because i probably will) this will have changed.
This was the sweetest story. I loved how they welcomed "Books" into the family and supported her and hilariou6, the entire family (Mother, Father and 3 Brothers) learned how to take care of and style black hair just so they could take care of her. I would have liked to see more interaction and love play between the 2 main characters. But, I loved this story none the less. I bought the remaining 2 books and am excited to read about the remaining brothers, Grey and Wesson ‼️
I loved most of the characters in this book. The beginning of the story with Samara’s mom and new family got me going. I would have provided 5 stars if not for the grammatical and typing errors, but I did very much enjoy this book and am looking forward to book 2.
It was an ok read, a few grammatical errors. The beginning is what drew me in first, Samara and her mom and the family taking her in. But, it just felt rushed. I did also like the fact Colt waited for her to mature. This is my first book by this author. I will keep reading the series to see what happens with everyone else.
It did what you expected an MC book to do. Light fun read for 2 hours. The one thing that I particularly liked is that Samara could defend herself when the time came even if she was painfully shy. No damsel in distress.
I love the MC story it’s always awesome. This is my first book by this author and even though I finished the book, I felt rushed to the ending. I gave 3 stars because the story was awesome, I just didn’t get to get a feel for the characters.
The story is interesting and I am looking forward to the rest in the series. I am confused as to why the next book is titled Wesson when according to book one of should be titled Grey. It is supposed to be about Grey and RiRi.
Just the right amount of everything. Sometimes nonexplicit sex scenes are the best. Don't always need to know every action. I loved the characters. Can't wait to start reading the next book
I made made the mistake of reading the second and third books before reading this one. Anyway it is what it is. Colt and Samara's story was great and I liked how everyone had their thoughts displayed. Waiting for the last book in this story.to tie up loss ends.
This book was surprisingly emotional. Loved the closeness of the family and how they came together time and time again. Loved the changes in the heroine and the strength of the hero. Was hoping for more ,"sexy times". But was still pleased.
Very good ms stone. I do have a tendency to like mc book's. I like colt just wish he was a bit more alpha . Ready for the next one in this series good job.
