It was all the damn bunny’s fault. . . Okay, so it wasn’t actually the bunny’s fault that she’d wandered off the path, gotten lost, and had to be rescued by Rambo. But it was better than blaming herself. Or imagining exactly what was going to happen once Daddy returned home. She needed more of his time. . . Clint was a busy man, running Sanctuary and looking after the people who lived there. But nothing was more important to him than his Little girl. Whatever she needed he would give her. His time. His attention. More time over his knee. . .
**This novella was first published in the Dirty Daddies Anthology and has not been changed in any way**
Laylah loves reading, but she particularly loves a good romance with some seriously alpha men. Protective, possessive men with large hearts. Writing has become her passion and she hopes her readers enjoy her stories as much as she does writing them.
Plot: This is a novella set in the Montana Daddies series. Clint is away on work and Charlie is under the care of his brother Kent. She's been left on her own though and so went out for a walk. Distracted by a bunny, she went off the path and got lost. Kent had the whole ranch looking for her and Jed (aka Rambo) found her and delivered her back to Kent. Of course, no Little on the ranch ever gets away without a punishment when they've broken the rules!
Character development: This was a short look at Charlie and Clint's relationship in between other novels. It also sets up Jed as an important character in the series (so we can see that he'll probably have a book later). Jed will have to step up in running the ranch so that Clint can spend more time with Charlie (since she obviously needs his supervision and attention).
There was a weird part where both Charlie and Clint referred to Ellie (from Daddy Bear) as Ellen, even though she's never been known as anything other than Ellie to the people on the ranch. She makes a point in herbook of explaining that she doesn't like that name, and no other book in the series refers to her as Ellen.
This story was published in the Dirty Daddies Anthology which I have not read yet, so I had to pick this up! I just finished Clint and Charlie’s story in Montana Daddies #2 so of course I had to read more about them. They’re just so cute together!!
Charlie got into a bit of trouble while Clint was away on a job. When he got home, she ended up getting a pretty big punishment which included spankings and the paddle for the first time. Ouch!!
The last half of the story was Clint and Charlie’s weekend getaway at the cabin where she was able to let go and be Little for awhile and get ass fucked for the first time. Good times all around!!
This included lots of spankings, paddling, bath time with bubbles and toys, and using a booster seat (first time seeing that one).
I’m excited to read Kent’s story next!
4⭐️
POV: Multiple, 3rd person (Mostly Charlie and Clint, but had Kent’s POV for a section or 2)
Although it ended rather abruptly, I like revisiting Clint and Charlie. Wish there was more info on what Eden has up to though, and I can't wait for Kent to find his someone too.
It was a cute little story, but I’m not really sure why we needed it. That being said, it was still beautifully written, and I enjoyed it for what it was.
So far in this series, only Bear has gotten his little girl, and this book focused on the only other established couple so far—Charlie and Clint. Having just read their main story, I honestly feel like this could have been included as an extended epilogue in the second book rather than needing a separate story.
While it didn’t feel entirely necessary, it was still a sweet addition, and fans of Charlie and Clint will likely enjoy getting a bit more of their journey.
Daddy’s Naughty Darling by Laylah Roberts is a short novella within the Montana Daddies series.
Tropes: ✔️ Daddy/ Little ✔️ Age Play ✔️ Kink
Short and spicy. I don’t think it is entirely necessary to read book 2 in the series (which is this couples book) but it would definitely help understand the underlying issues Charlie is going through. It is however a good intro into these types of books to see if it is your thing. I have read some of the Montana Daddies series and Clint and Charlie have always been my favorite.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It was good—I liked it. I didn’t love it, but I’d definitely read it again if I’m doing a full re-read of the Montana Daddies series. Clint and his Little had sweet chemistry, and the bunny mishap? Iconic 😂. The novella format made it feel a little rushed, but it still delivered those classic Laylah moments: caretaking, correction, and just enough spice to keep things warm. Not a standout fave, but still a solid entry in the lineup.
Clint and Charlie are just getting settled into living together. There is a incident and Charlie's past issues come up. Clint realizes he needs to change his work schedule to make time for her.
Over the continuing story of Clint and Charlotte. I liked how the author showcases the struggle that Charlie ensues as a woman and the mindset she has. It’s real, and I feel that every woman can relate to her in some way.
Liked it but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for
I liked this book, and I enjoyed it. It was hard to put down and I read it all the way through. However, it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Great book, though!
Main male character was a sadist. You don't take an employee and do the things he did. He didn't give her a chance, wouldn't listen to her at any time, didn't even ask her if she was into the lifestyle. The ranch was basically a compound she could not leave
Clint & Charolette are such an amazing couple! I love how they grow together, learn together & explore together. They bring the best out of each other as a positive couple should!
I was excited at first to get more about the story thought they would be more open up for feelings but disappointed by it even they didn't talk about her break down in Kent office hope the series getting better not fell in repetitive pattern
Was a good short story of Charlie and her Daddy Clint. She was so insecure before she met Clint and he was trying to convince her she was so worth his time and love.
I Loved this little book about Clint and Charlie I read it when it came out and I can’t believe I didn’t review it then I just Love these two they are perfect together
Cute story. I wish I’d knew about the reading order before. It explained a few things touched on in later books. Roberts has the reading order on her site.
Daddy's Naughty Darling (Montana Daddies) by Laylah Roberts -- This is on kindle unlimited. Somehow I missed Clint and Charlie’s check in novella. Very cute! Happy Reading!
