I used to have what everyone dreams of. Big house. Nice car. A boyfriend who promised me forever. But the dream wasn't real. And I was left with nothing. Now I'm trying to start over--make a new life. I know better than to trust anyone again, especially a man. So when Miles asked me out, I turned him down. When he tried to help me, I wouldn't accept it.Accepting help from a guy is how I lost my dream the first time. Besides, Miles and I don't make sense. He's a lawyer and I'm living in an alley, trying to get my life back. But I really like Miles. He's kind, funny, and incredibly handsome. Seeing him is the best part of my day. The only time I truly feel happy. If only I could believe this was real. The memories are still there, haunting me. I want to be with Miles, but what if history repeats itself? What if he's too good to be true?

I really like Allie Everhart so maybe I am starting out a little biased BUT I do not understand why this book doesn’t have a higher rating.
It is a very interesting and very unusual storyline. I mean I’ve never been homeless but it seems believable to me. Maybe not the entire thing but mostly it seems as if it could happen.
Raine didn’t have a good childhood and therefore her judgment as she became an adult wasn’t the best & she trusted when maybe she shouldn’t have. NOW she has serious trust issues and doesn’t have the confidence in herself to make the right decision.
Allie’s books (that I have read) always make me feel and always depart from the norm. It kept me interested from start to finish.
Very slow burn that shows you the kindness of Miles heart. When Miles first meets Raine he is smitten with the beautiful brunette and knows he has to see her again. Raine is at a point in her life that she has no time for a relationship. Miles on the other hand doesn’t care about her baggage and all he wants to do is help her. Raine is a tough cookie to break and it takes EVERYTHING for Miles to break down her very high walls. Miles was very protective of her and didn’t allow anyone to offend her. He defended her with everything he had. Raine also had a beautiful heart and took care of the ones she cared for. She really deserved her HEA and Miles was definitely her person.
I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review. OMG! I honestly loved it! Storyline was well written and intriguing. Definitely a page turner that made me want more. The characters were well written and had a lot of chemistry. I was hooked from the very beginning. I couldn't put the book down. I was "Just one more chapter" till the end. Amazing story!
This was a sweet story. Very slow burn - a few kisses, and partially described spicy scenes, but it mainly focuses on their friendship & Miles' refusal to give up on Raine.
Raine has had a tough life from the start, and it lead to her becoming homeless. She has a hard time trusting (can you blame her?) and a hard time letting people help her. The she meets Miles, who is this kind of small town guy who moved to the city for his new lawyer job, and he sees the best in people & in the world. He wants nothing more than to help people who are in need, and he is truly one of the sweetest book boyfriends I've come across. He's selfless, gentle, patient & friendly. All of those are things Raine has issues with, and she does her best putting up walls and trying to distance herself - but Miles is really good at knocking those walls down.
It was a sweet story with some emotional parts, and I think Miles is what made this a 4 star read for me. Because despite him being persistent, he never pushed Raine too far & did what he could to take care of her.
That's how I would describe Miles. Raine was very tenacious, she care about Gladys and took care of her when she was sick. This book opened my eyes to the homeless, I always felt sorry for them; however, the next time I see one I will help them. Because, you never know that could be you someday, and that is what God would want you to do,. This is a must read book it will open your eyes and make you think things differently...
this was a fun and cute read! loved the whole rich (or comfortable) and poor girl trope. miles and raine were interesting characters.
the only issue i had with this book was that there was more dialogue rather than internal monologue. typically, it wouldn’t bother me much, but there were scenes in the book where internal monologue seemed dire.
overall, i thought this was a cute short read. raine deserved the world.
This was such a good book. It’s definitely a reminder to be thankful for the things we have and what others don’t have. How different things can be for someone less fortunate. It hits you in the feels big time. I really enjoyed this book and the emotions it made me feel.
ALL THE FEELS WITH THIS BOOK! This isn’t the typical book with the standard plot, and that is the exact reason why I’m so drawn to Allie’s books! After falling on hard times, Raine finds herself homeless and living on the streets, and having a hard time finding herself opportunities to get back on her feet. Miles has recently moved to the area for work and is finding out things aren’t always what they seem. When these two meet, the sparks fly, but Raine knows that things will never progress further. Until they do. Miles is a stubborn character that won’t take no for an answer when it comes to Raine’s safety and health, but has the ability to do it in a way where she can’t refuse because of her pride and stubbornness as well. Through the many trials and tribulations that this couple has throughout the book, I found myself constantly rooting for them to make it as well as keep Raine safe. Another amazing book from Allie that had me on the edge of my seat and I can’t wait for the next one from her! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Home With You is a deeply emotional powerhouse of a story that truly moved me and changed my perceptions on so many levels. Miles and Raine had me so completely invested from start to finish and their journey has stuck with me far beyond the last page. Five stars for Allie Everhart who brings all the feels in this heartwarming and very timely story.
It is a very great story. I can tell you all the things I love about it but you just have to read it for yourself. My view is going to be different from yours. But I can tell you this you will love it. Allie does not write anything but perfection.
I’ve read many of Allie’s books and I’ve enjoyed them all. This one was no exception. Once I got into it I just couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read more books by this author.
