The idea behind this story was so intriguing that I wanted more. I'm really interested in stories that delve into the madness of men. Trying to make supermen, enslaving fellow humans, changing our biochemistry, unleashing us on each other and the world... so interesting.
Once 'normal' humans, Gareth and Allegra were experimented on and controlled. Even when they were free, the facility was still trying to usher them into doing what they wanted. Their fight for freedom was very entertaining and I think it woud have only been better if this book was longer. I've seen what this author can do if she's given time and space to allow her story to grow. I can only imagine how much more I would have enjoyed this book. And her epilogues are so sweet!

A very interesting entry into the Primal Alphas series and a fantastic spin on genetic experimentation to establish the A/O dynamic. The pair were cute and almost a bit too easy going after first contact, but nice that even the big Bad Alphas can be insecure and a bit awkward at times. There can never be enough of that, when with a little humour one is toned down a bit and the other is strengthened.

Too many of the Crucial Points to make it classified at Omegaverse was not in here other that a slight mention of heat, a odd spontaneous beast behavior, and them being listed as Alpha & Omega.

Pacing: this is a very fast paced romance, To me it felt like everything was too ‘convenient’. And Overall Details seem to missing as if a decent backstory wasn’t important.

I’m so glad I found this author. Her omegaverse storytelling is fantastic and this one had some great plot twists to keep things interesting. Definitely recommend.

Primal Urges is Book 1 of the Primal Alphas Series. It is an Origin Story for just one explanation of the Alpha-Omega dynamic in the Omegaverse genre.
First off, I liked both Gareth and Allegra, the two lead characters. He was kind of a cupcake for an Alpha and she was a little independent for an Omega - but they were created Alpha/Omega through human experimentation (gist of the origin story...), so I liked that. It also had less of the dystopian feel that you normally get in an Omegaverse novel. But I enjoy all of that change up - especially if the writing is done well; so I am not a purist when it comes to the Omegaverse genre! I like a little whiskey in my black coffee every once in a while - if you get my drift. Reading the same old genre with different names slapped onto the main characters gets boring after a while!
It had a definite villain (government experimentation, evil professor), but the story was really about the dynamic between Gareth and Allegra. There was some humor which is always a plus for me; and the sexy times were very sexy! I liked the ending and the concept of a created compound where they lived their HEA. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
It's always nice to branch out especially if you are looking for a different twist on a highly written genre topic like this one is becoming. Diversity in the origin stories of a heavily written genre makes you think, and your imagination run with it! So this gets an extra full star just for making me go hmmmm. Highly recommend if you are looking for a different, and a little less dark take on the Omegaverse concept!
On to Book 2, Primal Impulse!

It was definitely more light hearted and a bit cheesy than I thought it would be.
It was ok. I liked the MMC, even though he seemed a bit soft once she met him. I guess between the blurb and cover, I was expecting something a bit different. That could be on me.

I read this story a while ago and forgot the name of it, but it was well worth reading again 😃. In fact I remember a whole series of these stories and really enjoyed it 😉. Thanks Lizzy, your stories are wonderful with fantastic characters 😋. I REALLY look forward to reading more 😍.

This is a fun new alpha series. It involves humans being experimented on and turning more primal and animalistic in nature. The hopes originally were to create super - soldiers (I know, not very original), but the scientists weren't able to control them. In an effect to salvage the project, they decided to try to breed the soldiers but find that is fruitless until they create the perfect "breeder" - Project Omega. A female that is created specifically to intice and call alphas.
Project Omega used to be human until horrible experiments were done to her that changed her. Now she escaped from the hands of the Facility and will stop at nothing to get away. That is until she comes across Gareth, a huge mountain of a reclusive man who helps in her time of need. She just can't help the feelings or drive that pulls her to him and neither can he.
Nothing is as it seems and soon both will have to fight for what they want. It's a fun bit of world - building and hopefully a new series.

THIS WAS A SHORT OMEGAVERSE ROMANCE, AND IT WAS PASSIONATE AND DOWNRIGHT ANIMALISTIC, I ENJOYED IT. THOUGH IT'S NOT A COMPLEX STORY, IT'S A GUILTY PLEASURE READ FOR SURE. SMUT, IF YOU WILL. IT CERTAINLY WASN'T ANY ZOEY ELLIS.
ALLEGRA made her escape from the Facility that changed her life. Previously at Gymnast of 22 years old, the experiments the Professor had done altered her from skinny to luscious with breasts worth flaunting for. Allegra hid in the woods that belonged to another, Project Alpha they called him except she had no idea who he was. GARETH was Project Alpha, the foil for ALLEGRA, known as Project Omega. When you put 2 and 2 together, obviously their purpose was to breed. When they first met, both felt the sexual pull yet were cautious and developed a friendly relationship before jumping into the downright dirty and rough sex.
OVERALL it was fast and short, but while it had no proper plot to guide it, I still enjoyed it mainly for the PRIMAL factor which is what this book is all about. Can't wait to read the next one!

This was my first time reading a book by Lizzy Bequin and it was and awesome read! It's a M/F omegaverse romance story. It's about humans being experimented on and making them more animalistic and primal in the hope to create a super soldier. They decide they need to bread the soldiers and make the perfect breeder a female that calls to the alphas and entices them. The project omega, she used to be human and now shes escaped and come's across Garth who warns her away saying that if she stays he will use her in animalistic imaginable ways. But she is pulled to him, his scent draws her making her realize she was created to be his mate. But nothing is as it seems and they will have to fight for what they want, fight for each other. Will they get their HEA? Grab your copy to see! A must read for any fan and I cant wait to see more!!!

I was quite impressed with this splendid somewhat dark Sci-fi omegaverse romance & it certainly kept my attention until the end. The plot is well-written & filled with unexpected events. The unique characters are well-developed with complex personalities & react with realistic emotions to the unconventional circumstance they find themselves in.
There is: a young woman (Allegra) kept by a facility & experimented on but finally manages to escape & comes into contact with a rather rough, rugged alpha male (Gareth), unethical experiments, hunters, projects, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, mystery, secrets, adventure, action, strange attractions, longings, encounters, control issues, taunts, domination/submission, mates, betrayal, memories, conflict, violence, devious plans, threats, determination, desperation, friendly overtures, compromises, steamy scenes, happiness, contentment & a well-deserved epilogue.

This short, enjoyable omegaverse romance was a good surprise! I was a little apprehensive to read it because it was listed as a dark romance, but it did not seem like a dark romance to me. All the sex scenes were hot and consensual, and the hero was very caring toward and protective of the heroine. There was an evil villain in this story, but it was not the hero and the villain got his comeuppance from his test subject victims. My conception of a dark romance is that the romantic hero in the novel does double duty as the villain of the novel, usually with some dub-con or non-con sex-scenes involving the heroine. The Alpha hero of this omegaverse romance had honor and plenty of heroic qualities. This omegaverse romance had dystopian elements, which I enjoyed!

Allegra has escaped from the facility--a military base deep in snow country. She was taken there and genetic experiments were done on her. When she escapes she just heads out towards the mountains. When she gets there she heads up and hides and watches as those who are following her stop..make mention of an alpha and turn back. Gareth sees her but stays hidden. He leaves her some food that evening. The next day she continues on her journey and comes across a small cabin. There she meets Gareth. He knows he should not stay near her but finds that he can;t help himself.
Thus begins the road the two must travel to find their destiny.
Fantastic story and read.

This was an amazing dark scifi romance. I was glued to my kindle swiping left like crazy. The storyline is beautifully written and filled with intrigue, twists, and turns. And I loved Allegra and Gareth. Their personalities, interactions, and emotions helps to draw you into the story even deeper. It was an amazing read.

I love omegaverse. It is my current go to. I really like the concept of this story, I just wasn't impressed with the delivery. I really liked how Alpha/Omega were created in a lab by experimenting on humans. Other than that it kind of fell flat for me. The book didn't flow well. I knew everything that was going to happen from beginning to end once Allegra ran into Gareth. It was predictable and other than experiments there wasn't anything original.

A new series called Primal Alphas by an Author I have not read before this looks like her debut book. A well written story that kept me turning pages, I will be looking for more by this Author. Allegra aka Project Omega is experimented on, then seemingly escapes. In her run to freedom, as she cannot take care of herself, she ends up meeting Gareth aka Project Alpha. As she is not in the confined laboratory and her heat rises, bigus dickus Gareth is there to save the day.
While all this is taking place, they come to realize they are actually being observed by their captors and the truth comes out. They eventually end up destroying the facility and seemingly live happily ever after and their actions lead to the set up of books 2 and 3 in the series.
I am steadily becoming a Lizzy Bequin fan and I enjoyed reading Primal Urges. Will definitely continue with the other books in this series.
