“Honestly, I don’t think we need much,” I started, trying to assert myself again. “Maybe some wall art or something? Nothing too flashy.”
Her tinkling laughter stopped short when she realized I was being serious. “Oh tasty gravy, no. This place needs an overhaul. I can see why your business partner wanted a professional.”
An overhaul? “What do you mean?”
“Well, this place feels like a tomb. A cement box where dreams go to die,” she answered with another of those smiles. “Probably not the message you want to send to potential clients, right?”
I stared, incredulous, sputtering a little as I said, “I hardly think that’s how people feel when they walk into our office.”
“It’s how I felt when I walked in,” Kitt admitted, gesturing to the gray walls and steel furnishings. “There’s nothing inviting about a giant, gray blob of space. I mean, prisons are giant gray blobs. Let that sink in for a minute and you’ll get where I’m coming from. But don’t worry, I can fix that for you.” She tapped her head. “I’ve already got some ideas percolating.”
I couldn't help but bristle a little. "Well we're not trying to impress the Queen of England. We work with blue-collar people and they don't much care about the froufrou stuff. They just want to know that we can do the job for them so that they can do theirs."
“Yeah, I get that but first impressions are everything and this place is depressing.”

Some nights you just need a book that you don't have to think a lot about and one that is a real quick read. That was when I discovered the new novella series Wedding Seasons done by a collection of authors who every couple of months bring out together a novella series. In With This Ring, we meet Beau's work-partner - Jared. Those who have read the Flowers Series will remember Beau's story from His Dahlia novella. Beau and Jared work in an office that looks like a prison with grey everywhere and Beau has hired a friend's sister Kit to help them as she is skilled in interior design. When Jared and Kit meet you can tell straight away that they are complete opposites and definitely clash in personalities. Of course, you know how stories like this will go with the word "Wedding Season" and a title like "With this Ring" as Jared and Kit finally get over their hump and have a HEA. It is a real quick read and though overall I liked the HEA there were a few parts of this novella that frustrated me and made me antagonize over. One was the sending of a "meat basket" and the fact that Kit got terribly offended like I found way OTT and the reveal of Kit's real name - even from a hippie's POV it could be debatable. I did like the parts with Beau and Dahlia as you got to see further proof of their HEA. In rating this book, though I gave it three P’s – it is definitely a borderline 3 for me as I did manage to finish the book.

Normally I enjoy this authors work, this story for me was pretty much a fluff piece with zero heavy lifting and to be honest not much substance to the story. Yes I know it’s a short story, I have read some short ones that were able to draw me in and actually flesh out the characters where I wanted more this one I was bored almost after the first meet. I left the review as a three star instead of a two because it did contain both POV’s, which for me is always a good thing.

We get opposites artistic Kitt, why do artists get portrayed as always being late is beyond me since I’m an over punctual artist and uptight conservative Jared. It’s not love at first sight since Kitt is late and Jared doesn’t want his very neat somber office space changed. On Jared’s part instant need to get rid of artist and in Kitt’s case the need to prove to herself that she is good at what she does.

Jared is a bit of a jerk and to make up for it he sends her a gift basket, which unfortunately contains meat products. Then we get Kitt going on and on about being a vegan and how insensitive of a jerk Jared was for sending her this murder basket etc…I mean the lengthy tirade was unnecessary, the gift while not to your liking is understandable however the person realized they were being a jerk and tried to apologize with an unfortunately incorrect item.

This is an insta insta book I mean within two days of meeting each other. Guess once they decided to go for it they went for it in a big way, curtain descends after some horizontal time the next thing we have moved on to the epilogue and they are getting married.

I have read a few books by this author and really liked them so I took a chance on this one and it just didn’t have enough of anything for me to really like or dislike these forgettable characters.

This is a direct continuation from the last book I read by the author, and we get to delve deeper into the cantankerous and irritable partner to Beau that we fell in love with in ‘His Dahlia’. It was great to get Jared’s side of the story. We got to see what made him tick and got to see past all the grouchiness. It would have been nice to know why he is like this, but, unfortunately, the story doesn’t explore that deeply.
We do get to see that he is quite awkward around other human beings and doesn’t really know how to act socially. Such as the, erm, lovely gift basket he sends to Kitt as an apology.
Her rant to this gift basket was a bit over the top, and I felt like I was being lectured for being a meat-eater. I’m all for people being vegetarian and vegan, but it is all personal choice. I have given up eating Beef as I think cows are just so flipping cute, but I don’t push my values onto other people. There is a reason I can’t give up meat entirely, and I don’t need to be lectured about it, I will do what I can if I want.
That aside, Kitt is a very sunny person who sounds very fun to be around. She seems like she could breathe a breath of fresh air into any situation, and that is exactly what she does with Jared. She knocks down his walls and finds out that he is a loveable bear, after all. It is a slow burn romance, there isn’t a massive lightning bolt, just like there wasn’t for Beau and Dahlia. These are the best kind!

This is my first book by this author, but it won't be my last. I really enjoyed how well developed both protagonists were, the build up and the sweet ending.

Polar Opposites............But OH so right together!

Kitt is a sweet, intelligent, energetic, colorful, whirling dervish of an interior designer. She had been trying to make it as an artist (painter) but after a few years had to call time on that one and has now found her niche with her own design firm. Her first large customer, and first cash paying client, is a company named Throttle and it's two owners.

Jared is one of the owners of Throttle and is to be working with Kitt. Unfortunately Jared is a complete control freak with what I would say are some OCD tenancies and a complete aversion to color.

From the first meeting of these two, where Kitt was 15 minutes late and Jared was thrown off his game by his instantaneous reaction to her, it was two polar opposites. He tries to fire her by the end of the first meeting but as she was hired by his partner Kitt cleverly says "no can do and by the way I have already been paid". Poor Jared just does not know what to do with that, got to feel sorry for a guy that gets his legs knocked out from under him by a little beautiful butterfly. Kitt also has an attraction to Jared but not so much first thing. I mean a girl can't really like a guy after he tries to fire her from her first paying job can she???

With This Ring is another quick and fun read in The Wedding Season series. It is entertaining, engaging and has some sexy heat between these two consenting adults. A definite great way to spend an hour or two on the couch or at the beach this summer.

Kitt is an interior decorator and Jared's partner hires her to do their offices to help draw in more clients. When Kitt is late is put Jared off and he doesn't want to hire her. He doesn't even look at her portfolio just after talking to her for a few minutes tells her that she's not a fit. what he doesn't know is that his partner has already paid her to start the job and she tells him that he can't fire her only Beau can. After talking to Beau and seeing her work on Beau's phone from messages he agrees she is good and should do the job. Beau tells him to send flowers to apologize but he feels that's too personal and he goes a different route which sends Kitt off all over again. Sparks fly between them every time they are together and eventually they give in to each other. Will Jared admit that Kitt is the one for him?

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first chapter and have you laughing out loud at the craziness of these characters. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Jared was waiting for the interior designer to come to their new office there is nothing wrong with this office but Beau his partner hired a woman for the job but Jared was going to fire her she is 15 minutes late and Jared hates tardiness. Once the designer arrives she breezes through the place practically insulting the grey colour of the place, Jared has had enough of this quirky woman who was cute but she seems nuts so Jared fires her. Kitt couldn’t believe that the man had fired her but he wasn’t the one to hire her so she would wait and see what would happen, Kitt has already been paid the money for this job and if they want it back she was going to be in big trouble because Kitt has already spent it. Once Beau showed Jared Kitt’s photos of her work he changed his mind and he had to eat crow and apologise to her and maybe buy flowers for the designer and he hopes that she accepts his apology. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Loved, Loved, Loved this Romcom
I knew when I saw that author Alexx Andria wrote this book that I would be in for a treat. I had read “His Dahlia” and loved it. What surprised me when I started reading this story was that it was a follow up to His Dalia. This storyline focuses on Beau’s partner, Jared, and the interior decorator, Kitt, who they’ve hired for their company’s office. They are polar opposites which makes this storyline an effective Romcom. Kitt is a vegan free spirit whereas Jared is a straight lace, by-the-Book person. He sees nothing wrong with a grey office. She, of course, thinks the opposite. It is because of these opposites they find they are strangely attractive to each other. Should they act on those impulses? I do!
I love everything about this novella and the fact it was a follow up to another book I loved. So, definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a lot of emotions running through it for such a short book.
I liked that this book followed on from previous Flirt club series by this author so we had already seen glimpses of the characters.
Both Kitt and Jared are strong willed characters and to see them brought to their knees by each other was touching. The last thing either want is a relationship and the one thing they agree on is there is no such thing as love at first sight, yet there is, and they do.
Seeing Kitts fears about the loss of her twin was quite emotional, that she constantly carried around the guilt of ‘it should of been me’ thinking her sister was the better person. The way Jared talks to her when she voices this is touching and it shows a softer deeper side of him.

It was also great to see Hobbs again 😁

Can Kitt inject some colour into Jared's life?

Awwww I loved reading this. I have some of Kitt in me with her sometimes lateness and scatty thoughts but then don't we all have a bit of ADD? I know a few people who are also like Jared, stuck in his way, likes conformity, everything in its place and a place for everything and his rigid way of doing things. It's a total storm when they meet and has ensuing chaos in the aftermath. Will Kitt get Jared to bend his ways and accept some colour in his life? I must admit I had a few years when reading about her sister's death. A good read through out and it was great reading about Jared after reading about Beau and Dahlia in the flower series.

A short but enjoyable read. Nice storyline and plot. This was a very sweet instant romance. I was caught from first to last page. I liked the characters and how the interact with each other. Everything happens fast but still it feels right. A story with real life problems but still handled with a nice writing style and amazing use of words. I liked the update on characters from previous stories. The characters develop nicely through the story.
I like it is written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the feelings and thoughts of the characters. Nice that there is an epilogue.
Would have liked a bit more depth in the story some places because it seems to flat and fast. But absolutely worth the time and read.

With this ring is a novella in the wedding season series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable.
Kitt Evensen is an interior designer that has just landed her first proper client. The problem is, her and one of her clients clash. Jared Davis is stubborn and in need of control. Kitt enters his life and turns it upside down. When feelings develop, will Kitt and Jared give them a chance?
The chemistry between Jared and Kitt is clear to see and I liked them together.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.

Kitt and Jared are total opposites but complement each other so well. They are the yin and yang and I can't get enough of them. Isabella was hilarious and I hope we get her story now too! I wanted Jared's story since we met him in His Dahlia and this did not disappoint. He meets an interior designer who is free-spirited and all over the place. It drives him crazy but their connection is undeniable. Their scenes are scorching and so refreshing. We get to see the lovely matchmaker dog Hobbs and his participation at the end with puppies just made my day!

Hilarious!!!

This story is laugh out loud hilarious with some steamy bits to boot. Jared and Kitt couldn't be more opposite if they tried. He is a buttoned up business type (ridge and precise) and she's a lot more to with the flow (and definitely loves color!!!). This story is great and I highly recommend it!

Total opposites fit perfectly to fall in love
Huge smile. That's what I have on my face after Kitt and Jared's story. Two complete opposites find perfection in each other. Oh, it was a rocky start but once attraction and feelings took over it was like a steam roller. Kitt needs Jared's organized control as much as Jared needs her chaos and color. Their insta-love story is the stuff fairytales are made of.

Kitt is hired as the decorator for the office of Jared and his partner. Two opposites from the get go while she is crazy with a splash of color he is always in control and by the book. Yes, you have where this is going, it makes for some funny scenes but as you know the old saying "opposites attract". Great story with laugh out loud scenes and characters that make this book very entertaining.

Kitt is a whirlwind when she blows in 15 mins late. Jared feels like he's been hit by a Mack truck! Jared is calm, organized, quiet and SO Not ready for Kitt, who doesn't take a breath! Then he fires her! This was an opposites attract, but so attractive story. Note to self, don't send Meats of the World Baskets! I loved this story!

Loved this storyline! Kitt is out to redo the interior of Jared and Beau's law offices. Jared likes order and dull muted grays. She gets him to see how wonderful color and life can be. They are drawn to each other and once they touch.....magic.

Oh my goodness I absolutely loved this one. I think this might just be my favorite flirt club book by Alexx Andria. I love how perfectly Jared and Kitt complete each other while being polar opposites. I’m so happy that they found their happily ever after!

I really enjoyed this book the chemistry between our characters and how complete opposites can be attracted to each other.

The only thing is we got to the hot part then it was 6 months later.... and they were getting married i think it needed a few more chapters beforehand.
