Nothing about the end of my second year at Hades will be easy.
With my mom on the loose with the Children of Abaddon, I have no way to know when—or if—I'm being watched. That on top of my new responsibilities as a higher-order demon (which are totally insane, by the way) and Morgan's determination to stage a coup over the Hades social system and finally get revenge on Camilla are making things less than easy to navigate.
Oh, and everything heating up with Raines...yeah, that doesn't help either.
Do we stan? Oh yeah, this moody semester is full of things to stan. Like demon duchesses trying to get their heads in order, emo boys trying to work out their emo-ness, and the newest recruit to the Awesome Foursome (name still not decided) who is just an epic 4D addition.
Yes it's a slower mid-series book, but oh, the developments mean there's no slump. Nova's discoveries about her mom are troubling her, and at the same time Raines might have a case of the L-word. I love their emo relationship issues. As a couple they are so awkward it's perfect in that teenager-ish way (read: hormones, mixed signals and some *ahem* steamy thoughts/deeds - the non-explicit older YA/NA appropriate sort). Teddy and Morgan are, as ever, the life and soul of the party - literally given how Morgan's friendship issues have progressed from book 3. Ever wanted to see a demon dorm party? You got it. And Karolina is trying to steal the most extra character crown by being that strange slice-of-life anime schoolgirl meets Luna Lovegood.
The lessons are on point. A good academy should always have interesting lessons, and who could say no to a little beginner's necromancy? And who know higher up demon society had etiquette classes?
The drama is... dramatic. There's that moment (and you'll know it when you read it) that is actually heartbreaking. The magic of this fun series is that you gradually get to know these oddball characters, and when something happens... There's still the fun and silliness side, but the story is really growing up.
I love this trope-twisting series; it's so easily readable and there's never a dull moment with Nova. Roll on the final year.
-I received a free advanced reader copy of this ebook from the author. This does not affect me review-
Well this wasn't as great as the last one but that's because its shorter and more serious I do believe we needed the story but I did miss the humor. I liked the way they are trying to change the social standing within the school and I liked how her mother got into the school. It'll be interesting to see what happened next.
Nova is back and Starting her Fourth Semester at Hades Academy. It starts out fine she's friends with her previous years roommate and is back to being friends with Morgan and along the way sorta dating Raines. Then everything goes to the Cereberus' lol. Her Mom is also wanting her to join the cult of Abbadon. Nova sure can't have a normal year.
This is a great addition to this series! The storyline continues to develop and the characters continue to grow and their relationships develop. It’s action packed, emotional, suspenseful and has great chemistry and romance and I am looking for to the next book!
This is an intense story line that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and turns and hot chemistry. Lots of excitement. A thrilling must read, every page will have you enthralled and panting for more. Let’s not forget to mention the chemistry of these two.
Nova has some new classes, still has to learn proper demon protocol since she's a Duchess now and has to do all this while trying to deal with the possibility that her mother and the Children of Abadon are coming to come after her again.
Then she has to figure out how to escape a tower she is shut up in, learn more about metallurgy and deal with an up-close-and-personal appearance of her mother dear.
How she can manage to get decent grades amongst all the things going on is hard to figure out. Still, it all makes for another good book in the series.
There comes a time in every series where the lead female character (who starts out strong) becomes a two-dimensional, emotional cut out. Nova is a great character. Her downward spiral into idiocy in this book is just… Why the author felt she needed to do a 180 on her personality is beyond me. The Infernal Trio - once a great plot device, abandoned. It’s like a big bad of the week and we have no real idea of motivation. It’s sloppy.
These books are a wild ride. I love the cast. The characters are brilliant, there's a nice depth to our heroine, even if she's a bit if a plank in the emotional department. The story is really great too. Lots of twists, and doesn't really shy away from the hard stuff, which is nice.
Nova's waffling and self-doubt made this challenging to read. Her relationship with Raines is still undecided. But the story does include plenty of interesting tangents.
I feel like author is making light or dismissing details and events that could have given this book any real depth. It lacks feelings and logic. It makes too big leaps, leaving reader to guess at in-betweens and everything important is done in few short sentences. Author doesn't really know how to fully develop ideas she had and in the end it gives the book a cheap feel.
This series is great! Cannot wait to read the next book! I truly didn’t see the ending of this book, I normally can plot endings out. This series is full of twist and is just great!
This series really does just get better and better. The more I read the more I become addicted to reading about yhe characters and the world that this book is set in.
I can't rate this book highly enough and its well deserving of 5*

I love this series so much. These just keep getting better each time. Wonderful well written plot and story line that is engaging from the start. Love how well fleshed out the characters are and find them believeable. Great world building to go with all the suspense and twists that happen. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.

Hades Academy: Fourth Semester by Abbie Lyons is a 3.5 star read. We join Nova and her friends again for the fourth book in the series and I’m afraid I wasn’t a huge fan of this book, I loved the first three and was looking forward to this one but I felt that I couldn’t connect to the characters the same as I did before, there seemed to be lots going on but it just didn’t pull me in the same as before. I was actually disappointed in myself for not liking this one as much so I went back and read it again just to see if it was me or the book and unfortunately in my opinion it was the book. This is my opinion and I’m sure other readers will feel differently than I did, I will still be looking forward to the next instalment as I know this series has great things to come.
When I read the First Semester I thought the storyline was so much fun. Now that we are in the Fourth Semester the main characters are more fully developed. I love Nova and Raines and am continuing to hope for a future there. Nova continues to grow and is gaining more confidence in herself, especially as she needs to rise up and overcome a challenge to protect her friends and the school. Love that Nova’s mom makes a visit to school and Nova proves herself the stronger person. Don’t want to say more to spoil anything. If you have read the earlier Semester books you will enjoy this addition to the series. If you have not started this series, then I recommend the First Semester for good clean fun reading.
Another great addition to this series. A new semester has started, and Nova’s been stuck at school for protection against her cultist mother, Leda, of the Children of Abaddon. Her friends are back, and Morgan is out for revenge. Fearing she is becoming her mother, Nova has decided to put space between her and Raines to avoid any attachments. Hades Academy was supposed to be a safe place, but they were wrong and now an ultimate price has been paid. This heart wrenching, emotional, overwrought suspense will have you hooked from beginning to end and I look forward to reading the next installment.
Nova starts her fourth semester better than usual. She has Morgan back as her best friend, she’s close friends with Karolina, her roommate from last semester, and she and Raines are semi-dating. Naturally it all goes topsy turvy when Nova’s crazy mom keeps trying to recruit her to the Abaddon cult and Nova worries she’s unsafe to be around. Add in her concerns about succubus manipulations and Nova begins to feel pretty overwhelmed. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
“Hades Academy: Fourth Semester” is back, so buckle your seat you are in for another wild ride with Nova and her friends. There is lots of drama, suspense, and action. The Children of Abaddon are still evil and still after Nova. Join Nova on this thrilling journey as she navigates her way through the fourth semester at Hades Academy, relationships and fighting evil. This is a must-read addition to the Hades Academy Series!

With the new semester starting, Nova has a lot to deal with. First and formost coming to terms with her mother being the leader of a cult and trying to kidnap her., while navigating the muddy waters of her relationship with Raines. Although the book seems quite tame, comparing to the previous ones, it quicky picks up speed to deliver an explosive finale. I really want to get my hands on the next installment!!!

This book continued seamlessly from the previous one. It was well written and the characters and story were well developed. I love the individual character personalities and enjoy watching their relationship dynamics change and develop across the books. I loved the story. It was action packed and had plenty of suspense, emotion, intrigue, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book and look forward to future books from this series!!

Wow! I can't believe all that happened. Hades Academy Fourth Semester starts about 2 month after the last book ends. Nova is still trying to wrapping her head around the fact that her mom is in a cult that trying to bring Satan back to life. She is also dealing with her feeling for Raines. She doesn't want to seduced him, This is a fast paced both with a lot going on. I can't wait for the next book.
Fourth Semester has lots of drama, suspense, and action. It picks up about 2 months after Nova’s Satanist cult leader mother attempted to kidnap/recruit her into the Children of Abaddon. She navigates through her fourth semester at Hades Academy, including relationships, her powers and, fighting off evil. This is a solid mid-way installment to the series.

The adventure continues as the Children of Abbadon raise the stakes in capturing Nova. While keeping Raines at a distance and aiding her best friend in becoming the hottest socialite in school, things seem to be moving at the pace of light.
With so many aspects and twists & turns this has been one of the most exciting parts to read.

This was another great book in a great series!!! Nova, trying to come to grips with who her mother is, now had to come to grips with her life at the academy as it continues and her ever growing feelings for Raines. So much is going on in her life that when she finally confronts her mother, it is disastrous. I can't wait for the next book!!!

Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I didn't like Nova negative attitude. She couldn't seem to make up her mind if she wanted to be Raines. Her attitude was much better in Books one thru three. She did get better towards the end. Raines and the gang were great. I love that they supported Nova and kick the bad guys butt. I truly enjoyed the book, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
