The demons are stronger than ever. And their master is coming for me.

A shadow mage has stolen the Witch’s Blade, the only weapon that can save this world from being ravaged by demons. Worse, the murderous warlock behind it all keeps sending assassins to kill me. Not to mention the truce with the vampires is broken, our inter-coven war has resulted in countless fatalities, and there are no longer enough mages alive to fight against our true enemies.

There’s only one way to save the world. I must track down the Witch’s Blade and use it to close the veil between the demon realm and ours. Once and for all. Because if I don’t, humanity will be forever doomed.

This is the fourth and concluding title in the Bone Coven Chronicles series. Zoe is on the hunt for the stolen Witch’s Blade and her old enemy is to blame. While he sends demons after her to keep her from shutting down the veil he’s opened between the regular world and the demon world, she tries to deal with a new wrinkle in her life. Will she find the blade and stop the demons or will her new wrinkle make her embrace the new threat? I have become such a fan of this author, and this book just shows why. The book is well-written, was so much fun, and had great characters, just like the other books in the series. The author just does a great job of making the scenes come to life and make it feel like you are there. I was a little sad we didn’t see much of the side characters, including Zoe’s grandmother, but of course the book is about Zoe, so I can’t be too upset! LOL! I am also so sad to see this series end, as it was a great series, but I console myself with the knowledge that Ms. Wolfhart is writing more in this universe. I, for one, will be eagerly reading them. If you are already a fan of this series, you will love how it ends. Everything is tied up, and we get a lovely conclusion. I can’t say much as I don’t want to spoil anything, but I love how Zoe made her decision. Hmm, what was it? Read it and find out! Highly recommend! Thanks to the author for the e-copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

The fury fizzled, and honestly? I was ready to close the grimoire.
By the time I hit Witch’s Fury, I was more committed than enchanted. This final chapter in the Bone Coven Chronicles wraps up Zoey’s supernatural saga with witches, vampires, and demons still swirling, but the spell was wearing thin.
Piper Goodeve remains a steady narrator, her voice familiar and comforting.

The ending? It did its job. The loose threads were tied, the arc completed, but it all felt a bit rushed, like the author was hurrying to get the last incantation out before the moon set. Oddly enough, I didn’t mind. I was ready for the curtain to fall, even if the final act lacked drama.

If you’ve come this far, you’ll likely finish it out of loyalty rather than excitement. Just don’t expect fireworks, more like a quiet puff of smoke and a sigh of relief.

The Bone Coven Chronicles had its moments, but by book four, the magic had mostly faded. Time to shelve the series and let the coven rest. Will this put me off Jenna, nope I am sure I will try her again at some stage

OK, I feel victorious over bad writing. I finished all four audiobooks and I'm moving on. I only partially blame the writer, her editor and publisher should have said it needed more character development and a more realistic set of emotions for a 21 years old woman working and scheming to take care of herself and her grandmother. This check couldn't hold an emotion even if it was wrapped in sticky paper. She was judgmental and full of preconceived notions. She she only used the weakest side of her emotions to make lame decisions. PS if someone else cursed you, how could someone that you never met uncurse you? How did her boyfriend become human and not a Unbound?

The story was great, as there were points that were hidden until the very end (and actually I still would have some questions) and it was also really great to see how Zoe's character evolved further into something powerful. The ending fit perfectly to the storyline, but the closing itself left unanswered threads. It could have been twice the length :))) I like the style of Jenna, so I received what I expected: a well written book, putting a well written end to our favorite Zoe's story.

I received the book as an ARC for an honest review.

Ugh I finished so no one can call me a quitter the ending made no sense. A 100 year old vampire should be smarter than this and this chick felt 13 not 21. She is blind and dumb at every turn and sure she isn’t the only one to blame everything was so obvious how did no one around her guide her the right way. The author has too much going on at once and things got muddled and contradictory near the end

An explosive ending to a fantastic series! It had me on the edge of my seat from page one. I loved the journey the characters took and the ending was a bittersweet moment for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed the fast-pace and action-packed storyline. I can’t wait to discover what else this author comes out with!

I have really enjoyed Zoe's growth and her family along with. I listened to the audiobooks and really enjoyed the listen. I definitely recommend the series in audiobook form.

My only complaint is I wish there had been more about Grams through the series. She sounds pretty bad a**. I feel like Grams could have been more in the series to teach Zoe.

This would have had a higher rating, but it seemed rushed at the end. There was so much depth lost as a result... like the second half we were reading the outline. In that way it was disappointing because I hadn't felt that way in the series. Good story, interesting characters... Just not a completed novel. 😥

A wonderful end to this series

All things must come to an end, but that doesn't always mean the ending met our satisfaction. I think Jenna Wolfhart somehow managed this feat and it did not feel rushed. I look forward to more books set in this world in the future.

A very satisfying ending to this series

I have enjoyed each book in this series and I think the author did a great job in closing this chapter. Zoe has come a long way from the first book and it was entertaining to read about her journey.

Book 4 of 4

The story carried on so long I wasn’t sure the end was going to be the end. But it was. Though it felt like it came on too quick and ended even quicker I liked this story and I’m interested in seeing the other series in this world.

To be the shortest book in the series, it felt like the longest. While I enjoyed it and am relatively happy with the ending, there were several things that grated on me. Still a good series and worth the read.

What happens when the world is in danger of a demon apocalypse & the leaders of the covens aren’t around to lead?
Will Zoe step up? Will the witches and mages follow her?
Can she embrace her magic and save the world?

It's a decent enough series to read if you're bored and looking for some light urban fantasy action but you won't miss anything not reading this.

It took me a while to realize why I wasn't absolutely loving this book. Part of it was the dialogue. It just seemed forced. The rest was how the mc wound up being everything by the end. sigh.

Interesting plot and dynamic between diffrent species like witches vamps and werewolves ect but writing and plot was kinda mid. Honestly just kept going through the series cause someone had a good review about the kind of romance but even that was mid at best and took an insufferable amount of time to actually get to the romance which would have been fine if it was slow burn but it wasn't even slow burn it was just the mc going "wow he's hot wait no he isn't and he's rude. Wait did he just flirt? No no he wouldn't flirt with me and I don't like him like that he's just objectively hot and I haven't had those needs met in forever! Im just going to keep lying to myself and shoving any and all feelings about him down and act like i hate him" Just denying herself over and over and on his end just little barely there hints and waits for her to make first move. Their relationship when they finally make it has no substance either. Honestly the romance between the bestie and her vamp gf was more interesting than the main pair and it was barely shown (both forbiden romance wise and because of the dynamics of the clans and species and the politics of said relationship, plus just better romance and connection all around) . The mc honestly sucked. It somehow was a carbon copy of every fantasy female main character but stripped to its basics. Low key felt like she didn't even have a personality. I tried so hard to enjoy the series and kept hoping it would get better, I read all 4 books. But it just didn't.
Also for some reason everand displays the series out of order. Probably not the authors fault though, just figured I would mention it.

Tldr: dynamic between different species/clans was interesting but writing and characters was boring af. Romance also BORING
