West Coast Witches part of the Sh!t Witches World.
"You taste like mine."
Serena is a witch.
Well, almost...
If it wasn't for her badly behaved familiar she might have already ascended to full witch and finally gained the approval of the Head of the Council - her mother.
But the damn cat doesn't seem to want to play ball and it's getting to the point that the local river and a bag of rocks are looking like a swell idea.
For a warrior witch, the fact that her own familiar won't reveal his war form is making her look severely stupid, and Serena has had just about enough of stupid.
Good thing she has a glitter-witch/pixie/unidentified species as a best friend who has her own dragon as a familiar...and Serena is not jealous. Not at all.
With help from a highly intoxicated Grandma and an overly affectionate naked guy, Serena and Hayley fight against Sod's Law to finally achieve more than the title of 'Faulty West Coast Witch.'
This is a novel of roughly 70,000 words that includes lots of indecent flashing, coarse humour, and an irreverent witch that has the vocabulary of a big, burly truck driver. Foul language warning in three...two...one...

I received an ARC from the author for my honest opinion
**SPOILERS AHEAD**
First off, this is the first book I've read by this author and it was originally posted on another platform. What I remembered from the original version was that it was a unique twist on a paranormal romance and the humor and satire in this book was hilarious! This published version lived up to what I remembered and I thoroughly enjoyed the story.
The main character, Serena, is a very strong, stubborn, witty female and I personally enjoyed her banter with her BF, Hayley and the infamous Cat. Even the tenuous, strained but complex relationship with her mother was intriguing. She has very similar characteristics and traits as her hilariously, blunt 800 year old grandmother and all of these relationships kept me desiring to know what would happen next or what would be said next. She seems very relatable to me and especially considering the circumstances surrounding her.
I also found Serena and Cat's relationship to be so captivating and charming. It seems really odd to have them be in a romantic, sexual relationship HOWEVER, the way the author lays it out and gives us a dual POV in both Serena and Cats voice, it actually makes perfect sense… especially in this supernatural setting.
I loved how she portrays Cat in his human form to still have a very direct, clear animalistic understanding. It's like, how animals have basic natural instincts they follow and don't get confused or bothered by human emotions. That thought process was clearly shown in Cat's mannerisms, behavior and dialogue with Serena! It's actually quite funny how blunt, direct and confident he is in himself, his abilities and in his witch!
Overall, I really enjoyed the story. The banter and relationship with each of the characters kept me entertained and the dose of R scenes and dialogue was HOT and done well and not too overly raunchy. Great job Roxie and Im looking forward to reading the next ones!
I loved this so much because it made me laugh so hard. The characters are hilarious. I cannot wait until the next one. I immediately told a friend about it. It is so fun!
I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This book is, in three words, a guilty pleasure. It reminds me a lot of the romance books you stumble across in the Book Bub daily deals. You might be brave enough to talk about it, but the depth of your love for it will be kept under wraps. Fortunately, I love those kinds of books.
Right off the bat, if you don't like cursing, this wont be the book for you. Likewise, if you consider the word "gypsy" to be a slur, this will also likely not be the book for you. But if those two points aren't issues and you love weird urban fantasy with friendships that are communicated mostly through sarcastic insults, then this is definitely the book for you.
Everyone in this book is a real character. They're all larger than life and almost cartoonish in their personality traits. However, that's the whole point. This is a book that knows how weird it is and revels in it. There's constant glitter-poofing and weird naked men and ferrets that turn into weird giant ferret mutants. My particular favorite is Grams, the eccentric, weed-smoking, might-be-a-serial-killer grandmother of the protagonist.
Admittedly, the main romance flirted with the line of being truly creepy and that kept it from being a full five stars for me. I had to keep going back and reevaluating if I appreciated the sentiments expressed. The plot also moved just a bit too fast for me and it felt like the book waited just a smidgen too long to end. The very last section felt like it would be the perfect beginning for the sequel. Regardless, that is a sequel I am still very intrigued to read.
In short, this book is the epithet-filled, millennial descendant of the trashy mom smut books from yesteryear. It knows what it is. It knows you're ashamed to admit you read it. And it knows you love it anyway.
It was a meh book. I usually read books of same length in one or two days maximum but this one had me dragging it. Maybe it's just me not being in the mood to read or it's the book itself. I felt there was missing a "hook factor", that something that get me glued to it. It just felt a bit shallow for me. Or too fantastic or maybe too silly. I believed it was supposed to be funny but its humour wasn't my cup of tea and sometimes too childish. Despite all of these drawbacks, it had its moments, some gooey, sweet and hot sexy exchanges between Serena and Cat. I quite enjoyed Cat and Serena was kind an asshole but true to herself and had a fierceness that I liked. All other characters annoyed me especially Hayley. I also liked that it hadn't had overdramatic situations and ugly breakups. Overall, I thought it had potential and somehow a good plot idea but failed in execution. I can just hope its sequence will redeem this one.
Entertaining Read! I enjoyed reading this story a lot. Kitty's Witch is refreshing story of a Witch and her obsessive familiar, who's also a shape shifter. Serena hates her Cat. But as fate would have it, the Cat is not a normal kitty. She considers herself a faulty witch. But what follows is for you to read and find out.
The world building is great and I loved the unique approach on familiars and witches. The book is filled with humor and intended for adults with its mature language. It has been a while since a book made me laugh.
Serena and her filter-less mouth got me hooked right away. The very first chapter, where she describes her cat alone is proof enough. The Cat in turn is proud, obsessed and at times don't give a shit about anything. I like him a lot.
Every character is very likeable. Expecting to read Hayley's story next.
I read "Kitty's Witch" on wattpad and as an ARC, and I must say... I'm in love.
Not only is the MC a trip, so are all the other characters. I cackled, not laughed, but cackled, the whole way through.
The love interest is one of those obsessed types, but done in a humours fashion. The back and forth relationship and dialogue between him and his witch is too much for my stomach that hurts from laughing.
Add to it a rare female friendship that reads as real and not forced.
I highly recommend KW, but honestly, anything from Roxie Harper. Her dialogue and humor is on point.
Btw, the grandma is my favorite.
Also..... I can no longer get dressed/undressed in front of my black cat, lol.
One of the most funny books I have read!!! *Spoilers*
This was a really funny book! I loved "the witch" and "Cat" they were really cute together. I loved Hailey too, I can not wait to read her story with her dragon especially when she goes naked dragon riding haha! This story was very clever and was different than any witch / familiar story I have ever read! I loved how Serena was always cranky unless she got her some kitty cat LOL!!! I do wonder what Hailey was congratulating Serena and Cat about before the end of the story. I am really curious to see what happens next and I want to see if both dragon and ferret turn into "big naked" humans also !!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really liked this book. I love magic, spells and witches. This book had it all. The characters were alittle odd and the story was well written. I finished it in an afternoon.

I feel in love with that moody cat, by the third chapter I wanted one for my own. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh. Your sides will hurt from chuckling over the trouble that these two girls get in as well as their family members.
Funny but with substance! I love this book! Not your typical witch stories, it’s unique with twist! Serena is on badass cranky one! I love her. I hope there will be another story from this.
I received an ARC to this book and I’m glad I did cause this one is worth the read.
Ohhhh myyyy!!!! I loved this book!!!!! I want book 2 now!!!! Roxie has the start to an amazing series!!!!!! I'm very excited to see where she goes with this!
I enjoyed the surprises and the characters. They were so funny and wonderfully developed. I am very glad I found this series. I cannot wait until the next book.
The twists in this tale just adds spice to an already exciting and adventurous tale that will shock you. I highly recommend this tale and eagerly await the next book in this series.
