Dr. Ken Ham is the president of Answers in Genesis USA and is a well-known speaker and author on the subject of Young-Earth Creationism. He received a bachelor degree in applied science (emphasis on environmental biology) from the Queensland Institute of Technology, and a Diploma of Education from the University of Queensland. He has also received two honorary doctorates: a Doctor of Divinity from Temple Baptist College, and a Doctor of Literature from Baptist Liberty University.

He was a director of Creation Science Foundation (CSF) in Australia, an organization which he jointly founded with John Mackay. In 1987 he moved to the United States, still maintaining his links with CSF.

From 1987 to 1993, Ham worked for the Institute for Creation Research, and in 1994 set up what in 1995 became Answers in Genesis (AiG), a creation ministry dedicated to "upholding the authority of the Bible from the very first verse."

In 2008 Ham was described by well known atheist and evolutionary biologist PZ Myers as a "Wackaloon" for carrying out a prayer session with members of the Pentagon. Ham responded regarding the validity of that prayer breakfastand that PZ Myers and other critics were intolerant of his position.

This book has been a fun supplement to our studies of Genesis 1-11. It's not a read through all at once, but better to read a few questions and discuss before returning.

The good:
- The book hits questions that both parents and kids are curious about.
- These are topics about which it is difficult to find good, Biblical resources, making this work unique.
- The answers are quick and concise.
- The primary Bible verse that forms the answer is printed out at the top of the answer for you. Also, most answers have additional references that can be looked up for more information.
- The size of the book is approachable and comfortable for kids.

The not-as-good:
- Q&A books are always a bit contrived, and this is no exception to the rule. Some of the questions seemed a little clunky, and unlikely for children of the age specified to ask.
- Although some thought seems to have gone into selecting the pictures, the wondering of whether the photographs and ages of children and questions match up is distracting to a mature reader (such as the parent!).
- As is typical of the format, while the kids were good with it all, some answers weren't completely satisfying for the parents. However, there were only a couple of these, it wasn't enough for us to feel frustrated with the book as a whole.
- There is no table of contents. Therefore, if you want to check back on something you are thinking about, you'll spend time flipping pages. This isn't so bad with the 22 questions in this book, but when you have the set of 4 and you cannot remember which book, it becomes a bit annoying.

Overall, a worthwhile investment, and something that I am excited for our students to pick up on their own as they get older.

ReedIII Quick Review: Assumes that the Bible is the inspired word of God. Serious direct answers to realistic children's questions with Biblical references. Sticks to the topics on the cover. One book in a series that can stand alone.

My kids love this book and I do too! The questions are just the kind of things they want to ask but can't quite articulate yet (they are 4 and 6). It completely supports our family's beliefs about Genesis in a biblical manner with lots of scripture references. I want everything written to backed up by the Bible and this book delivers.

I liked this book. This book had a bunch of kids asking questions about Creation and the Fall. The author Ken Ham answered the questions that they asked. I recommend this book if you want to get good answers to questions about the Creation and the Fall.

Over the years I have seen believers read various volumes of Ken Ham’s Answer Books and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a kids edition. This work is volume one and the book covered the topics of creation and fall. Using a question and answer format the book responds to twenty two questions sent to Answers in Genesis, a Creation apologetics ministry. Ken Ham and Cindy Malott responds in a way that kids would be able to understand.
I read this book to my daughters before they went to sleep, usually a couple of answers per night. The girls enjoyed looking at the pages as I read it to them. Each question would be on the first page where they not only list the question but also who the child was that asked the question (the last name is initialed), what age they were and where they were from. I thought this was helpful in showing that other kids are also thinking about creation, the Bible and God which fuel my kids’ own thoughts and questions about God and the Bible. One funny drawback with each question page is that my kids regularly asked me if the photograph of the child on the page was the one who asked the question; I have to tell them not necessarily which then leads them to ask more questions of why wasn’t the kids pictured, why did they put a picture of that child on the page then, etc. I know my daughters did enjoy the artwork and photographs in the book.
Following the question the next page would then feature the answer which typically begin with a verse from Scripture that is relevant to the question. Each answer is typically two to three paragraphs. Underneath the paragraphs would be a Bible verse or verses listed that is relevant to the discussion at hand. I thought this was helpful as a parent to further explore what the Bible have to say about the topic.
Some of these questions are frequent questions I have seen both kids and adults ask. Get them to equip your children to think biblically about creation and the fall. I’m already looking forward to reading volume two to kids!

Well Written

Using the Questions Children (and Adults) ask makes this easy to follow. My only concern is whether or not the Ages (6?) are appropriate. I have no Children but I would recommend that Parents read it first so that they are prepared to explain if necessary. (I purchased it to see if the Series would make good Gifts for Friends. Yes, it will.)

I read the Kindle Version and the conversion from the Written Version is most excellent!

This series is great. Sparks so much conversation with my 8 and 10 yo. Makes them think about the question first and then about the answer. Engaging for elementary aged children (and adults with minimal knowledge about Bible and creation science).

Some good questions, not all of them are questions my kids are asking, and the design is straight up goofy. Clip art mixed with stock photos randomly all over the page.

What a neat way to conversation-start and interact with the inquisitive mind of a 6-12 year old child. Answering world old questions with honesty and scriptural reference. I would love to see the whole series of Answers for Kids.
