Biceps is a love story, following a relationship from first sparks one frosty Bonfire Night through day trips to windy Hull and into the stalemate of dysfunctional domesticity. It's a story about the physical and emotional tidying we go through when we fall out of love. It's a story that explores the small ways we learn to understand ourselves better as a result of our relationships and gain the strength to start rebuilding in the face of personal loss.

⭐️Pure poetic genius⭐️ Who knew something so brilliant could be read in under 30 minutes. Yep... I devoured this perfect little book in less than half an hour and I just want to read it again and again and again. Biceps is first and foremost a book of poems but each of the poems fit together to tell the story of a relationship- from the thrills of the honeymoon stage to the despair of the ending and ultimately the hope of the future.
Eaves has the most INCREDIBLE way with words and I'm not even going to be able to do his writing justice here. Some of the poems physically took my breath away as I reflected on their meaning and the skill and craft behind the words.
If you have 30 minutes to spare then I promise you this will be the perfect way to spend them. You will not be disappointed and you may even find yourself scouring the @burningeyebooks website looking for your next poetic fix!
