So I finally finished this! Only took me a whole year...
It was good! Almost great quality but not quite. The ending got super confusing and convoluted with action, and I prefer to spend more time with the MC's and their relationship. But the cherry on top of the sundae was a VIRGIN HERO!!!! Bless his soul he was amazing and possessive and jealous and everything that makes a yummy hero.
One thing I didn't like was how physically aggrieve the heroine was to the hero. She slaps him a few times (he deserved it at one point) but after the third time I got a bit concerned. She also kicks the hero in the stomach at one point and it made me really uncomfortable. I've read books where I PRAY the heroine takes a knee to the heros junk, but only if he was a real jerk. This hero didn't know any better so when he messed up, the heroine got mad and took her anger out on him- not cool at all in my book. He was such a sweet guy and he was completely devoted to the heroine.
This was my first book by Felicity Heaton, and I'm disappointed with myself that I didn't begin this series sooner. Oh well, at least there are six books out already, you know, if you can hack a marathon session :)
There was nothing I didn't love about Asmodeous. He was a bad a$$, kick a$$, alpha male who enjoyed acting like a bit of a brat towards his Master. He didn't seem to have any qualms about toeing the line with the Devil. Foolish or ballsy? I'd go with the latter. He'd never been allowed to leave Hell in his entire existence to travel to the mortal world so he'd steal off to one of the seeing pools that allowed him glimpses and he'd draw. Of course he jumped at the chance to leave when the opportunity presented itself. I felt immersed in his senses with the way the author described the noisy and busy world around him. As the story went on, another more vulnerable side of him emerged. He'd been more or less conditioned to be evil, to take pleasure in delivering pain and suffering. But deep down he did have a spark of good. He had no concept of friendship or intimacy, he was too proud to ask for help, hated to appear weak or helpless in front of others, but none more than Liora and Apollyon. He also didn't like being reminded that he was a shadow Apollyon, as if he wasn't an individual, whole. The more time he spent with Liora, he learned to feel (remorse), to trust and to want to be a better man. He was easily hurt which may have made him come across as a little weak, but I felt it drove the point home of his many vulnerabilities and the circumstances of his existence thus far. It also allowed his character a lot of room to grow into the type of hero we could all appreciate.
Liora was a great heroine. She was cheeky, feisty, spoke her mind, and although she was described as “a witch with a bad reputation and an obsession with fighting demons”, she wasn't the type to get herself into unnecessary trouble. She rarely put up a fight when it seemed like Asmodeous was a bit overbearing with his protective streak. She seemed to enjoy the attention and liked being cared for. Not only did I like her level of patience and understanding, I also liked that she was quick to analyze her words and actions. Whenever she said something that had upset him, she thought things over and quickly readjusted. She wasn't dumb, and she didn't play dumb either.
They had great chemistry that seemed to flare hot with the awareness of two grown-ups recognizing lust, but getting to the place of love moved at a slower, more believable pace. They talked about their lives, they barely had a filter so misunderstandings were a very rare occurrence. I really enjoyed the no-nonsense dialogues, the flirtatious banter and light humor. There were some scenes that squeezed a few tears out of me and the love scenes were very sensual but not overly graphic.
Even though I haven't read any of the other books in the series, I didn't feel lost. Well, not really. For the most part, characters other than the hero and heroine were introduced with a bit of back story in the form of memories of past events through the MC's eyes. And it wasn't delivered in an info dump either. Past events were delivered seamlessly into the current action of the story. Speaking of action, there was a nice balance of romance to fighting. I liked that the scale didn't seem to tip one way or another. The author's descriptions of places easily came to life inside my mind as did the various fight scenes which just added to the overall appeal.
A few things about this book made my mind stray to Kresley Cole's Demon from the Dark. Asmodeous reminded me of Malkom Slaine. A lonely individual perceived as an evil monster, but deep down he had good inside him. In terms of intimacy, he was a virgin but he was a quick study. Then there was the first love scene at the pool in the pits of hell versus the pool in Malkom's cave. It was simply something I noticed, but other than that, I easily got lost in Ms Heaton's storytelling and any further thought of similarities vanished. If anything at all bothered me a little, I felt that Liora made a lot of repeated observations about Asmodeous' character or appearance. I didn't think they were all necessary to grasp who he was. Overall, I enjoyed the five hours I spent with this book, and I am definitely intrigued enough to go back and read the first five books.
Rating: 4.5 rounded up to 5

Wickedly delicious - Asmodeous and Liora are dam HOT together. OMG they are scorching!!
The King of Demon’s Asmodeus is born of evil – created for havoc and destruction, all fear him – think the worst of him, until he meets Liora.
A witch who is kick arse and causes feelings within him to awaken he has never felt. Passion and desire are something this Angel has never experienced, but upon meeting Liora Asmodeus is thrown into a world he never knew existed. (Love)
She was mortal.
Him Immortal.
Asmodeous is hot as hell, dark, dangerous and yet like a newborn to feelings of emotion. These new feeling are unbeknown to him, but the fact that he feels them alone is so sweet. Liora ignites something in him he has never felt before - making him burn for more than he ever thought capable.
Asmodeous intrigues Liora - he is like a magnet and her polar opposite yet a connection they both can’t deny.
Asmodeous is sent from Hell to fulfil with a mission from the devil to retrieve a female from Paris. But upon meeting this female – Liora he certainly gets more than he ever bargained for.
Her Wicked Angel is a very fast paced read, filled with lots of emotions, and details giving the reader great insight into all that is and all that is felt. Felicity certainly knows how to weave her stories. We are always immersed totally within the world that she creates and her characters always leave a place behind with each instalment.
The character development is never rushed; we see and feel every emotion. Her descriptions are always so well detailed that we can see as we read and venture on the journey with her characters.
We see characters put forth from the previous books which I very much enjoyed, and also the interactions within each of them.
The action and passion are riveting, never over board and always passionate. The action is straight forward, blending in within the storyline well. Equal amounts of all are found within this fantastic storyline.
One of my favourite quotes.
** Dizzy, Nauseous, Weak Ailing.... I have never felt like this before **. He lifted to hers again and clutched his bare stomach. “At the tower ...... I felt strange............................ ((Quote taken from book) sigh -
Unique filled action packed story, filled with love, pure evil - kick arse action.
I had the honor of beta reading this book and it was by far my favorite of the series. This was such a great read. This book can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series (but if you do read the series I recommend reading in order).
This book will leave you breathless. It is an emotional read. I was left in tears many times with my heart aching watching Asm. learn to accept just a lil bit of humanity.
You will not go wrong with reading this book.
So don't just sit there.....Order this book!! It is so worth it!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of HER WICKED ANGEL from the author to read and review. Wicked is the 6th installment in the Her Angel series. I highly recommend reading the 1st 5 installments before tackling this edition to fully appreciate the subtext and meaning to the different conversations within the story lines. I also feel that having knowledge of the “Interlude” installments that Ms. Heaton has written in her newsletters concerning the character Nevar, also adds great meaning to some of the scenes within this book. For fans of the series, this installment really leaves nothing behind with its impact on the story arc, or the readers. I did not think it possible for Ms. Heaton to write a book better than her last one (Her Demonic Angel) which I enjoyed immensely, but she proved me wrong in Wicked and the impact it had as a whole.
Her Wicked Angel is the story of Asmodeus, the King of Demons. He is the Devil’s dark angel of destruction and all fear him. He was created to fight Apollyon, the Great Destroyer. In fact they are brothers or “blood”, since the devil created Asmodeus from all the darkness that was inside Apollyon as well as some of the devil’s own blood. They are like dark and light halves of the same coin and always at odds.
Asmodeus has lived alone in hell all his life. His existence has been “less than ideal” but it is all he has known. When the devil sends him on a mission to bring back a woman from the mortal world, he jumps at a chance to see that reality. Upon going to earth, he is completely overwhelmed. He is not used to being weak and out of control, and this messes with his instincts. Then he meets Liora. She becomes more important to him than following orders. Asmodeus wants to make her his, and he has never wanted anything. Liora is Serenity’s cousin, and Serenity is mated to Apollyon. Asmodeus has to, on multiple occasions, interact with his enemy, and be “nice”, for Liora. Liora is a witch, like Serenity. It is not certain what the devil wants with her, but Asmodeus refuses to give him his demand.
There is so much going on in this novel, but the main thing is watching Asmodeus slowly realize he can have a life, and that he deserves one. Liora is steadfast through the entire ordeal with her love and commitment to the demon king. She shows him that he can strive to be a better person. His past is riddled with evil and horrible deeds, its hard to believe there could be anything more from Asmodeus but darkness. But through Liora’s eyes and faith, he proves everyone wrong.
I will have to say I may be biased in my view of this book because I absolutely loved Ms. Heaton’s last “bad boy” Veiron in Demonic. She actually has Veriron “befriend” Asmodeus at one point, which just gave all sorts of smiles. I did not think any angel could get any more “smexier” than Veiron, but Asmodeus with his dark demon side but almost innocent vulnerability with Liora was the absolute so far. Liora is a perfect mate for this very unstable angel, because she is so attuned to his moods and actions. I loved that the author never made us want to strangle a heroine for being a complete arse to a male. I am also biased because in this series, Heaven, does not always mean, good triumphs over all. The characters are very real, and honest in their presentation, regardless of their allegiances.
In the end, my overall opinion is this book was a fantastic addition to the series. It compliments her last book perfectly and opens up doors for many new questions in the series for readers to explore. The action and romance was intense and fresh, and engaged the reader to the last word. I highly recommend the read to anyone who is looking for something fresh in the paranormal romance world. 5 stars.

I'm a huge fan of Felicity Heaton's Her Angel series so the last year has been a very long wait for Her Wicked Angel. The revelations in Her Demonic Angel were sure to have a larger impact on the series so it shouldn't come as any surprise to hear that most of the previous couples have an important role to play in this story. It was great to catch up with some of my favourites and see how they're getting on now and I was pleased with the way they stood by Liora when she needed their help and that they were eventually able to trust and accept Asmodeus.
We have briefly come across Asmodeus before - he's Apollyon's evil twin - and I was a little worried about how the author would be able to redeem someone who has done such horrific things but I have to say it didn't take long for me to fall for him and I think he's now taken the top spot as my favourite hero in the series! Asmodeus is unapologetically a badass, known as the King of Demons he has done terrible things as the devil's right hand man and he doesn't try to hide that fact. He isn't completely evil though, there is a tiny spark of good deep inside him but he has been raised in an environment where any sign of good is a sign of weakness so he has spent thousands of years trying to suppress his conscience. Liora is the first person to see through that tough man persona he puts on and she is the only person who has ever tried to encourage his good side. She makes him want to be a better man and although he'll always have a dark side when he's with her he is sweet, caring and very protective. I loved how we're shown that the good has always been there though and I enjoyed watching him learn how to interact with others after he has spent so much of his life alone.
Liora was the perfect heroine for Asmodeus, she is a kind and loving woman but she also has a bit of a wicked side. She is able to understand his darker moods because she hasn't always led a perfect life and she knows all about making mistakes and the lengths that revenge will take you to. There was one moment towards the end of the book where I found myself really annoyed with her for judging Asmodeus when she'd been so willing to accept him for who he was before that but I was able to forgive her for that because of how bad she felt when she realised how much she'd hurt him. Together they make a great couple and they had superb chemistry. Without a doubt Her Wicked Angel contains some of the hottest sex scenes in the series! For someone who was so shy in the beginning of the book Asmodeus is certainly a fast learner.
Alongside the incredibly hot romance this story is packed with action and some fantastic twists and turns. You'll see appearances from unexpected friends and old enemies and the build up to what is sure to be an epic battle in the next book. I have a suspicion that Nevar might be the next hero and if he is it'll be really interesting to see if he can come to terms with the changes that have taken place in himself over the last couple of books. Whoever the next couple turns out to be the next book will definitely be at the top of my wish list though and I can't wait to continue with this series!
I've loved the 'Her Angel' series from Felicity Heaton since I read 'Her Dark Angel' which is Apollyon's story!! Each book written has been better and hotter than the last... when we last visited the series in Her Demonic Angel (with Veiron, my favourite of all the guys 'til that point), I didn't think Felicity could out do herself.. well, how wrong I was!!!
Her Wicked Angel takes the series to new heights. It introduces fantastic new characters, more twists, turns & surprises and ramps up the pace and tension of the continued storyline!!
We meet all our old favourites but Asmodeus and Liora add a new edge to the whole thing!!!
When we previously met Asmodeus he was positively evil, truly wicked and torturing poor Nevar..... When we meet him in HWA we see him from a different perspective and boy, is this guy a contradiction in terms.. A wicked angel, fashioned from evil, who is really innocent and naive in so many unexpected way and still kinda wicked - but in a really hot way !!! ;-) Asmodeus's interactions with the other angels, especially Apollyon, are at times fun to watch and gods, how I love those hell hounds!!
Liora is one of the good guys (well, good witches) with a touch of a dark streak that has recently gotten her into some trouble - I honestly loved the fact that she wasn't a goody, goody like her cousin!
The story was fast moving, action packed and filled with passion, romance, loads of tension and surprises!!
Felicity has hit the ball out of the park with book 6.... Can't wait to see what she brings us in the next instalment!!!
If you haven't read any of this series yet, do yourself a favour and get on it now!! Fantastic plot, great characters and loads of heat, passion and excitement, these books are a firm favourite of mine & definite go to reads again and again!!!!
This for me is a no questions 5* read - I would give it more *s if I could!!!!
**I received an ARC of this book from the author for an honest review**
Aw maaan! It was a huge disappointment for me. I expected way better after Veiron's book which was a true masterpiece. I don't know what happened. The insta-love drove me nuts, both main characters annoyed me to hell, the fact that the story is really about their relationship and basically nothing else happens and even the big twist at the end feels too flat doesn't really help me like the book either. I don't even know how to rate it, so i guess I just won't.
I'm waiting for the next one though, because I LOVE Nevar, and I have high hopes for him and his book, so fingers crossed it'll be like Veiron's and not like this one.
Paranormal romance is one of my favorite genres. When I read the blurb for Her Wicked Angel, it sounded like it had the potential to be a series I would really enjoy. As I read the blurb, it reminded me of two different series I already love, J.R. Ward’s Fallen Angel series and Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series. Felicity Heaton was a new to me author, but I have read some amazing reviews for her other books. With that in mind, I felt I had to give this series a try. I only hoped I wasn’t sabotaging myself from the beginning by having my expectations so incredibly high.
I knew very quickly that I wasn’t going to fall in love with this series. The author’s writing style did not gel with me. I tend to get bored with descriptive imagery. I don’t like reading about the inner thoughts of characters, and I really don’t want to read conversations between characters talking about feelings and emotions. All of these things happened a lot, and that was a problem for me. I prefer my paranormal with a lot of action and with characters who are cruel, independent, snarky, crude, sexy, and wickedly smart. I’m by no means saying that these characteristics were absent from Her Wicked Angel, it is more that they weren’t as unapologetically in your face as I like them to be.
Most of my problems with this book stemmed from personal taste. I found the characters to be a bit too much on the needy and whiny side. I also didn’t care for the good vs. evil theme. I like my evil characters to be cruel, nasty, and vile, but have just barely enough personality and heart to make them lovable. Asmodeus simply wasn’t evil enough for me. He was harboring too much good. :)
There was one huge, glaring issue I had with this book. I had a big problem with the relationship between Asmodeos and Liora. I felt their romance was immature, think ‘Twilight’-esque, and unhealthy. I’m used to seeing the claims of “You’re mine” and the urge to claim the chosen mate when it comes to paranormal romances. I’m not a fan of it, but I’ve grown accustomed to it. Asmodeus took that trope way too far in my opinion. His thoughts were more along the lines of, “I can’t live without you” and “Nobody else can ever have you.” Statements like that set off alarms in my brain, and that pushed their relationship into creepy territory. Most of the crazy jealousy and possessiveness was resolved toward the end, but it left a lingering bad taste in my mouth.
I think I’ve harped enough on all the things which didn’t work for me. I need to emphasize that there were some positive points. The sex is hot. I had my doubts about the quality of the romantic relationship, but I was never in doubt about their passion for each other. The action scenes were also very good, especially all the fight scenes. I can also say that I never had any complaints about the quality of the writing. Her Wicked Angel was not a good fit for my taste, but I can see why other readers will like it.
I was lucky to be offered an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review and was so pleased as it was already on my wish list! This is the story of Asmodeus who is the devils right hand man and known as the King of Demons. He is everything his twin Apollyon isn't . Apollyon is a true angel seemingly full of goodness and yet carrying just a tiny hint darkness within him whereas Asmodeus is created from just darkness with a drop of the devils own blood to create the perfect killing machine. So alike and yet so very different the two dramatically different angels are forever locked in war until one can destroy the other. The devils sends Asmodeus on a mission to bring back the witch Liora from the human world. Liora is the cousin of Serenity Apollyons true mate and as such is a prize indeed. Not knowing quite why the devil wants her in hell Asmodeus battles his fierce attraction for her but Liora has her own ideas! She wants Asmodeus and is determined that this hot sexy angel will learn what it means to feel. Finding themselves hiding from the devil and his assorted demons the couple begin to discover each other. Asmodeus has done truly wicked deeds throughout his long life and finds it hard to believe that Liora can ever really care for him. He's convinced that he's unworthy of love and the sassy Liora is out to convince him that he's so very wrong. Liora is a breathe of fresh air in the barren world where Asmodeus exists and this smart witch knows a good thing when she sees it.Unfortunately the devil has other ideas and sets out to prove that theirs only room for one King in Hell! A fabulous ride. This is the sixth book in this enjoyable series and I would suggest that starting with Her Dark Angel would give maximum satisfaction as each book builds upon the last. This can be read as a standalone romance but the author reintroduces some characters from previous books here. If you enjoy hot smoking romance with lots of action then you just can't go wrong with this series. This is a fantastic story and this author has certainly hit her stride with this book. Definitely recommended
Liora is witch in the mortal realm and has been targeted by the devil, his sending his right hand man to get her Asmodeus.
Asmodeus has black hair, a toned body and black wings, he has many powers, social skills not being one of them! He was also born to be evil.
Liora is a witch, a beautiful one at that, she sassy, confident and knows what she wants.
When they meet its an instant attraction, not that Asmodeus understands his feelings his pure evil, so why is his heart pounding? Liora has a fun way with him, and his astounded that she is not scared of him, far from it she fancies him. He experiences his first kiss in the romantic city of Paris and then knows he's not taking her to the devil.
I loved this book, the characters were amazing, how Asmodeus developed through the book was such fun to read and heart warming too. It has humour too, his first supermarket shopping trip is very amusing. Sex yes it has sex too lots of sex, and teasingly long kisses.
This book has more than romance it's an adventure into hell and all that come from there, and you have to ask why does the devil want Liora? On your journey to find the answer to that question, you get to meet a few other alpha hot demonic angels, yes this book is full of them, which is amazing, there are very strong female counterparts too that take there men in hand with ease.
If your looking for a hot passionate book about good overcoming evil look no further this has all you need, with added hotness due to one demonic angel.
Loved it :)
5 vampy and racey stars
***i received this book from the author for an honest review***
Wow...my breathing has only just returned to normal!
The best in the series, which is a tough call as all the other books in the series are exceptionally good. But I did believe Veiron's story couldn't be beaten but this book blows that one out of the water!
Asmoedus is an evil angel. The Devil's right hand man. Reeking havoc as easy as breathing and loving every second right? Living in hell for centuries and carrying out every evil whim that his master desires he knows no different. So when the Devil desires Asmoedus to leave hell for the first time, find a witch named Liora in Paris and bring her to him, this is another easy task to complete...right?
That is until he meets Liora. She takes his breath away with her beauty and greets him by name. Who is this woman, why does she know him and why does he have a fierce need to protect her and keep her for himself?
But defying the Devil is never an easy or good idea to follow through with as you can imagine and he's beyond angry....
The world Felicity has created in this series is fab and entices you into her world wishing for your own angel. Its full of drama, intense passion which is off the charts and revealing that friendship and family ties can be built and made stronger despite past consequences.
Definitely a must read and the cover is also swoon worthy that you shouldn't resist.
Offered an arc of this book for an honest review - loved it
Her Wicked Angel is one Hell of a read - pun intended! From the moment the novel opens, we are caught up in the thick of action and are treated to two previously introduced characters, Asmodeus and Liora. What I immediately loved about Her Wicked Angel was that there's no preamble. The characters are immediately caught up in one another and are crafted in such a beautifully delicious way, that I was eager to support their story and their connection.
This series is by far one of my favourite angle/demon series to-date. As such, I always have high expectations for this author. Reassuringly and unsurprisingly, the author, Felicity Heaton, has once again successfully created a novel that is not only well crafted, but is one that continues to leave me keen and desiring the next in this fabulous series.
Her deliciously dark characters are laced with flaws and an ingenious level of realism, always an impressive achievement in paranormal literature. While I was offered complete escapism, I lived and breathed all-things angel and demon in the two sittings it took for me to inhale this marvelous installment.
Disclosure: This book was provided in exchange for an HONEST and not necessarily positive review.
Already Book 6 in the Her Angel series! We never get tired of this series. Every book is a master piece. Her Wicked Angel is amazing the tension between the two main characters is so thin and precious in the beginning that you would like to dive in to your book and sit between these to people.
Asmodeus may be the Devil's right hand but for his love Liora he will do anything! Felicity has done a fantastic job building these two characters. Their new start together, feelings and then their "romantic bed" times together.
The books from the Her Angel series can be read as stand-alone. Love to know what Felicity will bring us with book 6!! One thing for sure. Felicity do knows how to make you fall in love with the most wickedest angels.
I've only read book 1 in this series, but the author did a good job filling in the missing parts for me.
Turns out, Asmodeus is Apollyon's (the angel from book 1) brother, with a bit of the devil's dna thrown into the mix. He is the king of the demons: merciless, cruel, independent. But when his master orders him to retrieve a naughty, little mortal witch, he is immediately drawn to her.
Whew, Asmodeus is one sexy angel. Hot, check. Possessive, check. Dog (hellhound) lover, check. In dire need of people skills, check. A great fisherman, check;-) Got his own castle, check.
Oh boy, the supermarket scene, featuring an evil, coffee-wielding seductress made was priceless. And his 10 foot "fish" catch was hilarious.
I'll probably go back and read the rest of these books later on.
This was pretty good...until it wasn't. This is insta lust/love, so the first chapters are nothing but being crazy into the other stranger. The relationship does grow more slowly, getting to know you, some sexual stuff, and then a few days till actual sex. Good things: He is a virgin, never even kissed. He is also a bit shy at first, and slowly builds confidence. She is a powerful witch. Watching his progress of accepting his good side. Hellhounds are kind of adorable. Bad things: Even though she is powerful, she is also clumsy. Some may have a problem with her hitting him; slapping, punching, and kicking. She also enforced magic in the hits which allowed her to actually hurt him. Yes, he did REALLY stupid things while being with the FIRST and only friend/girlfriend. Honestly, she has anger issues, it was supposed to make her more bad like him. The MOST annoying thing for me was how freaking repetitive this book was. The entire thing was all about how he is evil with a spark of good, but she brings out more good, but he is always going to be mostly bad. I understood the premise, THE FIRST TEN TIMES. Let's put it in perspective. This is a 200 page book give or take: The amount of times the word was used Evil- 100 times Bad- 35 Good-194 Darkness-92 Weak-79 It was overdone. Then after accepting and acknowledging that he was created to be evil, has only been in hell for thousands of years where being evil is a good thing, has killed thousands, has never had a single friend she falls in love. Towards the end of the book, after they have said I love you, after they almost died together, she sees something he did before her and took pride in his evilness. She freaks out and asks him if he really is the monster everyone thinks he is, with no good inside him. This hurts him so much because he already feels like she deserves a much better man, AND he freaking told her he was evil. That bugged me SO much, like don't comfort the evil demon master 90 percent of the way and then turn on him! The dramatic scenes were okay, like him dealing with a dragon, but kept expecting more with her magic. In the end it leads to an meh ending. Because of his actions before her he has to stay in hell, so she decides to stay with him there. So, a happy for now ending. Also, Apollyon and the devils blood made the hero. He is supposed to be all the evil in both, so Apollyon hates him. He actually is VERY mean in this book. He never wanted to see any good in the hero, so he wrote him off as nothing, not human or demon, just scum. The hero hated being compared to him also. In the end they battle together, but no real conversation about how they will let go of the past happens, and I was bummed.
First I will start with I was so excited to receive an ARC of this book. I have never recieved an ARC before so I am truly excited and hopeful that I get that chance to get another, or at some point become a Beta reader. I am not great at the written word but I love to read and I escpecialy love to read great romance novels it has become my guilt pleasure. I love Felicity Heaton's books, I have yet to have found one I have not enjoyed on some level, yes some more than others but I have found that I am very picky about what I like and don't and I try to give all books equal opportunity. I enjoy her V. E. T series and her Vampire Realm series most however, this series has grown on me with each book. Now that gives you the impression they aren't good, not true they are great but I didn't start out as a fan of angel books of any kind. Weird, I know. So I picked up the series and slowly fell in love with it, it was not a series I excpected to like enjoy sure but really like no. It surpassed my expectations, and if you enjoy romance and Angels than this is the series for you. I try really hard when I review a book not to give to much away but I want to make sure I do it justice. So without further ado... In this book its "bad boy" meets "bad girl" and nothing goes right?! Asmodeus is a king, king of demons, he is tough sexy beast of an angel with the strength to fight even his boss or atleast he is willing to try. He is an angel with a job to do and before he meets her he is willing to do it without a fight then he see's her... He is a man without love and doesn't even no he can love. Liora is a witch with a skill for getting into trouble, she doesn't mean to hurt anyone but she holds on to anger that has a tendency to make her react. She doesn't try to upset those she loves but she just wants to find where she belongs... could that be Asmodeus? The meet because of his order from his maker the devil and her inate curiosity as to why the others speak poorly about him. Curiosity gets the better of both of them and gets them both in trouble? I don't want to give away any more than I may have already. I will say I love the humor in this book, example Asmodeus "... They are shorthaired and somewhat resemble a canine of this world... a Great Dane... "... "Scooby Doo? You have demonic Scooby Doos? " that was such a fun seen. This book may have a theme of bad boy meets bad girls but they are both big hearted with an uncanny ability to do right when others expect them to do the wrong thing. This is my favorite in this series it fun its sexy, it keeps you on your toes. I absolutely loved Asmodeus and Liora story and look forward to the next book, these angels are hot!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.
This is the sixth book in Her Angel paranormal romance series. I LOVED IT!
First off, I would like to say that I LOVE the cover! Those eyes! Those muscles! *Swoon!*
Asmodeus is a fantastic character! He is the devil's right hand man, with a dark and evil presence that rivals that of his master. He is also Apollyon's twin. Whereas Apollyon is mostly good, Asmodeus is evil incarnate. He was created to be uncaring, and to find pleasure from the pain of Hell's inhabitants. He is truly the King of Demons! I fell under his spell pretty quickly, and have a SERIOUS book crush on him!
Liora is also a fantastic character! She is Erin's cousin, and is a very powerful witch who has a dark side. Sent to Paris, she meets Asmodeus and sparks fly!
I have been looking forward to reading this book ever since I found out that it was being written! I fell in love with the series when I first read Her Dark Angel last year. Each novella has unique characters, and Asmodeus and Liora are most certainly unique! This book is a joy to read! I loved the interaction not only between Asmodeus and Liora, but between Asmodeus and the rest of the characters from the first five novella's. It was nice to meet Apollyon, Serenity, Annalie, Lukas, Veiron, Erin, Marcus and Amelia again. There are two new characters that I would love to meet (with trepidation!). They are Romulus and Remus, Asmodeus's hell hounds. To say they are supposed to be vicious killers, these two are the cutest hounds! I would love one as a guard dog! The story certainly has it's twists and turns! I was completely enthralled with the tale, and read it in one sitting! I found myself grinning at some of the dialogue, especially Erin's irreverent (but one sided) conversation with her father (the Devil). There are also some very hot scenes that burned hotter than Hell, and just about set fire to the book! I am looking forward to reading Nevar's story as soon as possible!
Felicity Heaton is number one on my Favourite Authors List. I love her writing style - it is extremely fluid and flows beautifully! I am in awe of her talent to weave stories with characters that come alive on the page. I felt like I could bump into them whilst doing my shopping!
Due to the explicit scenes in the story, I do not recommend this book to younger readers. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love erotic paranormal romance or stories with sexy angels! This story can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend that you read the other 5 books too! - Lynn Worton
NOTE: This is a re-release of the author's original series.
HER WICKED ANGEL was the sixth instalment (and now third instalment) in Felicity E. Heaton’s Her Angel series focusing on the angels, fallen angels and demons from Heaven and Hell. This is Asmodeus (Apollyon’s evil twin) and Liora-a powerful witch who has been exiled to Paris due to her issues with anger and demons. Liora and Asmodeus will discover that they are more alike than different, but keeping Liora safe and out of Hell becomes harder for Asmodeus as his heart and soul are pulled towards the little witch with whom he is falling in love.
Like the previous storylines, the Devil wants to find one particular woman and this time he has set his sights on Liora- a young witch whose very existence demands that the Devil keep her hidden and safe. As the Devil’s right hand man and virtual equal, Asmodeus is commanded to bring Liora to Hell. But upon seeing Liora, his heart is immediately drawn to the little witch and he knows that he will never let Satan take what he believes belongs to him.
The story centers on Asmodeus’s attempts to protect Liora all the while trying to fend off the Hell’s Angels, demons, fallen angels and Liora’s extended family including Asmodeus’s ‘good twin’. But like all stories of suspense, keeping Liora safe is almost impossible when the Devil can call you home at any second.
The relationship between Liora and Asmodeus is slow to build as our reluctant hero believes there is nothing but evil residing within his blackened heart and soul. And it will take a strong willed female with some bewitching powers of her own to show Asmodeus that there is good in everyone, including a man created by and from pure evil.
Felicity E. Heaton writes about energetic, stubborn and slightly unstable (in a humorous way) woman who know about sorrow and loss. Each of her leading heroines brings forth a side to her demonic/angelic lover that had been buried beneath centuries of control and command-a side that is protective, loving and slightly submissive where his female is concerned. The storylines are heartbreaking, engaging, action packed and emotional. Most of the previous storyline characters play a role in each successive novel which allows for a more familiar flow to the series.
HER WICKED ANGEL also sets ups another direction in the series arc as the ultimate in evil-The Great Destroyer-is preparing for an appearance. And in this, our heroines will become judge, jury and executioner to a being that will be the ultimate death to a world that is not prepared to meet its’ demise.

Asmodeus has lived in Hell his whole life. He has never experienced Earth or any of it’s amazing sites. He has never felt love or that there was any good for him. He does what the Devil tells him to do and that’s it. Well sometimes he holds off on the Devil to see how far he can push him. It is about the only entertainment he gets besides his hellhounds and doing what torture he gives to his victims. When he is sent to Earth for the first time to bring make a mortal named Liora, he thinks it will be easy. Get there and get the woman he is sent to get and come back.
Liora is a witch and she is very powerful. She lives with her cousin and her mate Aplooyon. She has heard about his twin Asmodeus and she never thought she would ever meet him. When she meets him she knows that there is more to him then she has ever been told. She sees that he has some good in him and she wants him to see that it isn’t a weakness. She has feelings for him and she shouldn’t since she he was sent to bring her back to the Devil. Only thing is no one knows what the Devil really wants with her.
I hate to say that this is the first book that I have read from this series. I hate myself for that because it is a really well written book and the author has done a wonderful job with her characters. I have read other books by this author and each one is even better than the last. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen between Liora and Asmodeus. I wanted to know why the Devil wanted her and how everyone would take this. I couldn’t have picked a better book in the series to read but I will be having to pick up the other five to see what else I have missed. This is one book that would never put me to sleep and keep me interested until the last page. I was wanting more when the book was over. I can’t wait to see what happens next and I hope that this isn’t the end of the series.
If you love books that have good and bad angels in it and has more than meets the eye, then this is the series for you to read. I know you won’t regret it.
Readers are now six books into Felicity Heaton’s very sexy Her Angel series with this newest installment Her Wicked Angel. I highly recommend reading at the very least some of the others before venturing into this one. I think it could possibly work as a stand-alone but you will definitely get the most enjoyment out of it by not jumping into this series here.
Due to the Devil being trapped in hell he has to get others to do some of his dirty work. Asmodeus, the King of Demons is used to doing just such tasks. As the Devil’s right hand man for countless centuries grabbing a human female and delivering her to the Devil is business as usual. Liora is anything thing but usual and within minutes Asmodeus realizes that he can’t hand her over to the Devil. Asmodeus wants to keep her all to himself. He soon finds out just how desperately the Devil wants her and exactly what extremes he’ll go to to keep her save and by his side.
Asmodeus is so easy to love! He is big and tough and alpha to the max. He is also innocent and new to so much. This mix makes for awesome hero material. And who doesn’t love a sexy man with puppies. Asmodeus is just full of surprises that will prevent you from putting this book down. Liora compliments him so well with her teasing and desire to introduce him to new things while keeping him close to her. She is just a tough and full of badassery as he is.
A few of the couples from some of the past books in the series have some small roles. There is nothing here that would make you have to read the previous books in the series to prevent getting lost. Fans of the series that have read the previous books will be curious about the fact that alcohol in the angels is more entertaining than caffeine.
Favorite quotes: This one from Asmodeus to Liora is so much better with the scene where he makes this announcement. “Because I want you for myself.” It’s just one of those swoon worthy moments!
Liora to Asmodeus, “Evil angels make the best boyfriends.”
A HUGE thank you to Felicity to provide me with an ARC copy of this book to review,!
I absolutely LOVE this whole series, I've been following them since the beginning.
So here we have Asmodeus, Apolloyon’s twin if he lets you call him that.
The Dark one
The Evil One
One who has no good in him (so he likes to think)
Sent from Hell with a mission from the devil to retrieve a female from Paris, we embark on an action packed adventure in which we see characters from the other books too, who help in any way they can.
Liora, a witch
A revengeful witch
A powerful witch
Liora is Serenity’s cousin. She has no family, due to demons killing them when she was younger. She retained her parents magic, making her stronger than Serenity in some eyes.
When Asmodeus first meets Liora, it seems to be love at first sight, and that’s for the both of them :)
Asmodeus seems to have trouble adjusting to this type of feelings, and emotions he seems to be opened up to.
Of course the Devil doesn’t seem to happy for Asmodeus to be rejecting his calls, and not carrying out the missions he has been given.
and yes you can get it, all HELL breaks loose.
Friends re-unite and become stronger
Loved ones become stronger
Past friends become the enemy
Allies come in unforeseen forms
What lies ahead for this group of Hell’s Angels and Guardian Angels?
What will happen with the great destroyer?
Here are a couple of sections I liked in the book:
“She was playing with fire. The Hell kind. The problem was, She didn’t care if she got burned.”
“Before her sat a powerful male, bloodstained and beaten because he desires to protect her, a dark and wicked angel capable of incredible evil and absolute good. A king of demons on his throne.”
“Together, they were stronger. Together, they could take on the world. Or at least save it from destruction. Nothing would stand in the way of their forever. The wicked King of Demons. And his witch queen.”
Take some of Apollyon add a bit of the Devil and you get the meanest..baddest and sexiest demon around..Asmodeus..then you have Liora a kickass witch who loves nothing more than fighting demons and who the devil has sent Asmodeus from hell to the human realm to get for him.. and it all started out in the city of love..Paris. Asmodeus didn't expect to fall in love but that's what happened when he went to get Liora for his master..he promised to protect her and he tried his best even though he had to get passed the resentment of the delicious Apollyon and Liora's cousin Serenity and all the others in previous "Angel" stories who didn't trust him but he stood his ground and in the end they had a truce where they gave each other the benefit of the doubt, but with Asmodeus's past behaviour he had an uphill battle to get there..but get there he did and they all stood with him in his fight to get back Liora after the devil got the mixed up and very dangerous Nevar to kidnap her..please let us have his story soon!!!!. There are a lot of funny moments with Asmodeus and Liora especially him drinking vodka and refusing the coffee..i would keep an endless supply of them both around..just in case..and then there is Romulas and Remus the dogs who Asmodeus took care of since they were pups and his art put everything all together and you realise that Asmodeus isn't as bad as everyone thinks he just didn't know any better but with the love and support he got from Liora he soon learned that he wasn't all bad at all..my heart was always with Apollyon but fickle female that i am its Asmodeus all the way now.. I have read all her Angel books and after i have finished each one i think that is my favourite well this one is..its got danger..love..sex and gorgeous demons who will stop at nothing to protect the ones they love..this is an honest review for the ARC i received from Ms Heaton and i wait with bated breath for more of her books..LOVE THEM..
Readers will find themselves transfixed and immediately drawn to the paradoxical complexity that is Asmodeus. He is, at first glance, the embodiment of evil and the possessor of a raw sexual magnetism that makes attraction to him inevitable. Upon closer scrutiny, one comes to realize that under the undeniable evil facade, there beats the heart of a truly good person. The catalyst for this cathartic epiphany, one wicked sexy witch named Liora. In Liora, we find a woman who is unafraid to embrace both the good and evil sides of her nature. Choosing not to live her life solely on one side or the other; she has achieved a balance that allows her to walk the dark path, as well as the light with equal footing.
This read is one that is paced very quickly, allowing the reader total immersion into Asmodeus' world and encouraging a link between character and audience right away. The action and passion are very straight forward, fit within the story well and are never forced or over done.
With every evil, there must be a good, and in this case that good comes in the form of Apollyon and his mate Serenity. These two are the equivalent of angelic pains in the ass. Everything with them is always black and white, you're bad/I'm good... Instead of putting one off of Asmodues, Apollyon and his lady love make our sexy demon and his fight so save his love all the more relevant.
This awesome read proves that sometimes the heights of heaven and be found in the pits of hell. Though this book is part of a series...it can be read alone.
Her Wicked Angel, Book 6 in this series by Felicity Heaton.
Asmodeus known as the "King Of Demons" and right hand man to the Devil, is very dark dangerous extremely evil and even has some of the Devils blood in his system.
Liora is a Witch who loves to fight Demons which has resulted in her being sent to Paris to calm down, she has no Family apart from her Cousin Serenity who is also a Witch.
Asmodeus has been sent to the Mortal World to bring back a Female for the Devil, he has been commanded by the Devil to do this not knowing why, he follows his Masters orders, Asmodeus has never ventured to the Mortal World before, upon entering he finds the female Liora and Immediately finds a strong connection between them.
There's Lust, Passion and super hot chemistry between them, and a food shopping trip in the Supermarket for Asmodeus left me with a few chuckles., a couple of Hellhounds, and bring in a few originals from previous books and lofs of action made this book another fabulous treat for me.
Well one Felicity, really loved this book ( I especially loved the Hellhounds and their mischievous behaviour & the shopping trip )
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read the advanced copy of this book.
Felicity, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful stories with the rest of us mere mortals. This story unfolds beautifully with a strangely naive Asmodeus and his truly wicked love Liora. A wonderful story of power and hunger that ranges through all three spheres of the universe, fallen Angels and demons of hell with the Devil himself at the helm, pulling all the strings. The simplicity of Asmodeus & Lioras love shines through in these couple of lines from page 201 & 202 She opened the book and her laughter died, her actions ceasing. She stared down at the drawing with a blank expression on her face and his heart beat hard against his chest, uncertainty creeping through his veins and taking hold of him, leaving him with a head full of doubts. Did she not like it? He stepped towards her, intent on taking it back and cursing her, and she looked up at him and blinked. “It’s beautiful,” she whispered. “This is really how you see me?” He shook his head. “It is how you are, not how I see you. You are beautiful. I am afraid my skill does not do you justice.” She smiled. “Flattery like that might earn you another kiss.” I hope you enjoy this story as much as I have; It is a fantastic complement to the rest of the Her Angel Series.
Man, I felt for Asmodeus. Having to live your life in the shadow of Apollyon and always feeling like you come up short? Sucks. Top that with having everybody hate you simply because you're concentrated evil? Double suck.
The thing is, he's not concentrated evil. He has his moments, sure, but he also has this little nugget of goodness inside him that Liora keeps poking at. Let's face it, never being allowed to leave Hell and having to give the finger to the Devil every so often is going to make you grow a darn hard shell. All the good in him got pushed down and down and down until it's barely noticeable. Liora (and his hellhounds... aww, THOSE TWO!) triggers his protective side. And his lusty side.
Which is awesome because pent-up dark angels need love, too.
I thoroughly enjoyed the set-up for events down the road and it was fun seeing familiar faces pop up. Asmodeus and Liora's relationship is just the tip of the iceberg here. They have THINGS they have to accomplish and people to watch over.
Also, maybe the Devil's only half as bad as we've been led to believe. Or maybe he's even worse. I'm still up in the air about that.
I was offered an ARC copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review. I have read and enjoyed all of the Her Angel series so far and was looking forward to this. I have to admit I have a weakness for a bad boy hero and let's be honest you cannot get much badder than Asmodeus, the king of demons. I was eager to read his story and see what made him tick and I was not disappointed. He is now my favourite hero in this series. I did not expect him to be so sweet underneath his evil exterior but what a nice surprise. I equally adored Liora, our heroine. She is feisty and just a little bit wicked herself and a perfect match for Asdodeus. I enjoyed catching up with other characters from the series so far, especially Erin, she does make me chuckle. I also discovered two new characters in this book that I loved. You will have to read it to see who I mean. Add to this all the plot twists, humour and strong emotions we have come to expect from Felicity Heaton's books and it makes for a very exciting ride. I loved this from start to finish and it was one of those books that stays in my head for days after. I highly recommend it to all ;0)
Her Angel series has been a favourite of mine since the very beginning, and each new book has me more addicted than the last. A lover of the eternal bad boy, Asmodeus was right up my alley. He embodies everything dark and evil as the King of Demons, and is totally unprepared for the emergence of his softer side. He refuses to accept that he has any good within him, but is constantly faced with truth through his association with Liora. I loved Liora’s kick-arse attitude and that she never gave up on Asmodeus, even when he gave up on himself. Liora was his proverbial rock and fervent defender when others believed he was the nothing more than the epitome of evil. The chemistry between these characters was combustible and had me turning the pages faster than usual. There’s nothing like a bad boy Demon King and a sassy, smart mouthed Witch to burn up the pages! While all of Felicity’s Her Angel books are intended to be standalone stories, I recommend you treat yourself to the entire series, they are fantastic books!!!
Her Wicked Angel is book 6 in the Her Angel series by the wonderfully talented Felicity Heaton. I was not sure what to expect although I have read so many of Felicity’s books and have never been disappointed.
Book 5, Demonic Angel is one of my very favorite books and I could not imagine how this book would compete. All, I can say is she has done it again! The latest book is about Asmodeus, and Liora, I don’t think it really could be read as a standalone. There is so much history in the Her Angel series and to follow this wonderful story you should read the other books in the series too.
This is a wonderful paranormal romance. There is a lot of danger, steaminess, heart tugging and maddening moments. I loved that there were visits from some of our favorites in the series. Liora is a wonderfully strong female. Asmodeus a dark evil being , evil to the core, or is he? The location backdrop is Paris and a tropical island and of course Hell. It just goes to prove that sometimes you have to go to Hell to find Heaven!
