Tye has sacrificed everything for his chance at the Prowess Trials, and Lera’s betrayal in reporting his injuries nearly ended it all. Now there is nothing left but to kick Lera out of his world—and ensure the eviction stays.
With less than a week until the continent’s royals descend upon the Academy, Lera has only one last idea for staying close to the high-value targets: join the Prowess team made up of their children. Lera thinks she’s ready to do whatever it takes… But when the emerald-eyed captain starts bullying her into quitting, she faces her greatest test yet.
As the hours tick down toward the opening ceremonies, Lera must prepare to fight for the mortal world—if she can survive Tye’s assault on her soul.
ENEMY TYES is the seventh episode in the GREAT FALLS ACADEMY novella series. The story takes place in the same world as Alex’s KDP All Star-winning POWER OF FIVE novels but can be read independently.
Alex Lidell is the Amazon Breakout Novel Awards finalist author of THE CADET OF TILDOR (Penguin) and several Amazon Top 100 Kindle Bestsellers, including the POWER OF FIVE romance series. She is an avid horseback rider who believes in eating dessert first. She writes as both Alex Lidell and A.L. Lidell.
Another exciting episode. Alex has that ability to keep you hooked from the get go. I especially loved the scenes with River and Tye. However, as much as I am a fan of this series and author, I had a few issues. Shade’s character has been completely overlooked and most of the time spent in wolf form. I think this is the drawback of episodes being too condensed. Supposedly, this is a Quint’s tale, so Shades’s absence has very much been missed. In addition, there were a few grammatical errors in this episode, and on a number of occasions, Zake was Zach 😱. I was, however, happy how this episode concluded and look forward to the next instalment.
This was probably the hardest book out of the series to read. I couldn’t stand the way that Tye treated Lera but I was happy to see him remember himself in the end. Things are certainly starting to change and with only 2 books left I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Love this series. Tye vs Lera. Lera vs River. Tye is spending time with the princess, any attention he sends Lera's way is cruel. While her head says it is how it needs to be, her heart and soul are reaching a breaking point. Tye hates his pull toward Lera. She betrayed him. The Prowess Trials are his one chance to escape poverty and make a better life for himself. When she wins a spot on the team, he vows to do everything he can to get her kicked off. Lera joins the Prowess team as a means to gather intel and be a source of protection on the inside. She is not wanted. Han may not like her but he wants to win and Lera is strong with a sword. A moc test in her class in front of River, is humiliating and shows her how fast time is running out. River only wants to protect Lera. He can no longer deny his feeling for her. Lera has always been a little insecure in River's love. A power warrior and King would never look at someone like her without the quint bond and mating bond. His confession settles her. Tye breaks her. Zake makes his move. Lera finds her strength. Little Rabbit sees more than anyone. Arisha is seeing unexpected sides to Lera's men. Cole learns what they are up against. Ends in an expected cliffhanger. The battle for the mortal world is upon them. Two books to go and two of Lera's men are still under the power of the amulets. Can't wait for the next book.
Brilliant episode again in the great falls academy. Enemy tyes.... Absalutely awesome. I love these episodes. I look forwards to each one and devour them all to quickly. I think this one possibly lasted me an hour and a half...
If you haven't started reading these awesome books yet you must! Start at the very beginning of Leras story and work onto the great falls academy.
I love joining Lera and her guys in their exciting story. This episode really picked up its pace. I loved the scenes towards the end. I wont go into any detail as i wouldn't want any spoilers... just read it.... i loved it and can't wait for episode #8.
5 star read.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Most things are finally going right. Other things are going very wrong. Having Lera's old master, Zeke show up was an interesting twist. Lera is so much stronger than she realizes.
With 4 minutes left in the book, a set of four words completely undid me. I cried!
This installment had me all over the place, between River and Tye Lera’s feelings (so my feelings) are in a roller coaster! We see a familiar face more prominently and I’m happy with the way that worked out. These novellas are so good, prolonging my time with Lera and her mates. I never want to leave them!
Finally getting towards the end but most of this book I didn't like. The focus on the trials was rather boring the only saving grace that it was a quick read.
The appearance of a face from Lera's past led to a rather unlikely situation but this did result in another of the guys finally realising the truth.
Tye is a prime asshole in this and no way would I forgive him if I was Lera.
We are so close to finding out the ending that I can taste it. Things are ALMOST back to normal, we just need a few people to get back on board. Lera saved Tye's life... if only he wasn't blinded and could see it. I don't want to make a super long review because I hate spoilers. But-- we've almost made it.
Tye! Tye! Oh what an emotional rollercoaster that was. But the ending... my heart is steadily mending. I just want to know more about Minion haha! Maybe the next book? Let’s go see!
These abrupt endings kind of upset me but I should expect them since these aren't full length novels. I couldn't stand Tye in this one but I'm glad he's back.
This is another filler ‘episode’ but I liked it anyway. I liked seeing River finally coming round and happy that Tye is back. I did miss Shade though, I don’t think he made one appearance!
I’m still finding this series enjoyable. I usually lose interest by now but I really want to see where the characters end up. Great narration. #audiobookobsessionreviewer
Tye has two goals: win the Prowess Games and get rid of Lera. She tried to destroy his dream, now he will destroy her.
Finally. Thank stars we have story movement. I am not sure it deserves the praise I am going to give it because rewarding a book for getting halfway back to square one seems ridiculous. But that's where we are in this series. Grateful for scraps. Several points need noting. Seems like Coal could be helping to get around the seal with his brothers. River has redeemed himself and Shade has disappeared, I feel like Shade would have broken the seal first with his wolf, so I find this odd. Tye's character has been damaged for me even with his tears. They don't undo his actions. And Rabbit is a mystery. He's the only unexpected aspect of this story so far. More, please.
The academy is still the center of plans of the first attack by Owalin and his nightguard from the other side of the gloom. The Prowess trial at the academy is the key for them to take over. They even have a human working for them Zake. We meet him in the 1st series as Lera's evil slave owner and surprise he still is evil. Protecting the human realm has been on Lera all this time and it's been really hard holding things together without ALL her team and men. Everything should be coming to end as to what the night guard has planned she can just feel it. Now that Coal has remembered her she does have some back up but the team is still not together. Sage doesn't remember her but his wolf does lol so then he sleep she changes into his wolf and the wolf goes to hang out with her or protect or just get hair all over her bed! Tye well he has been a huge pain in the butt and River well your just just going to have to read about him but let's just say he knows nothing of their real mission as he should remember. And trouble could hit the fan any moment! Wow! Lots of drama, mystery, betrayal, spice, action, awesome characters, bad guys and soooooo much more. You just have to read this amazing adventure because once I start reading I can't stop and I hate when the story is over lol. It's that good. Voluntarily review a copy and I honestly loved it. I am hooked
Enemy Tyes: Great Falls Academy, Episode 7- Alex Lidell
In this 7th episode of Great Falls Academy the author returns our attentions to Tye. It’s heartbreaking to watch Tye try his best to not only ignore his pull to Lera but push her away by spending more time with the Princess.when she joins the team for the Prowess Trials he becomes straight out mean.
Being mad at Tye is easy but at least Lera has Cole and her roommate Arisha to help in her quest to save the mortal realm. There were many surprises, twists and turns in ep. 7. I loved River finally admitting his love for Lera and that gets hit very fast, although he is still in the dark about who they are and their mission. Lera is a true heroine, she is fierce and determined, I don’t know how she physically and mentally continues her quest. When Tye finally comes around it is a bit quick but readers will definitely sigh with relief when he does. There is of course another cliffhanger at the end and it’s hard to wait for the next episode. This novella continued to advance the overall story and the world building continues to grow and mesmerize.
So for soon reason I was under the impression that this was the end. That I would get my conclusion and I would get to got through the happy because I finished an amazing series but mad because it’s over. Instead I have to endure another month of torture. Another month of waiting. Why Alex why???
Every episode Lera gets closer to her guys. Last time it was Coal this time it’s Tye and River. Although I thought it would have been River or Shade, if we ever hear from shade, that would break the seal magic. And then to learn Rabbit has known all along that Lera, River, Coal, Shade, and Tye were Fae is something amazing in and of itself. And I thought it was crazy. But I see he is going to be important I think in the coming book somehow. I also think the demon cat is Han.
On another note Zake is a punk. A little biatch once he realizes he doesn’t have the upper hand. A coward for only beating on Lera because she was smaller and weaker. And now he has been reduced to a weak man who peed himself. He gets no sympathy from me.
Lera still experienced some difficulties with both the new changes regarding their exams and joining the Prowess Trials in order to protect the Royals from the Night Guard.
I love how River opened up to Lera despite not remembering who he is. The connection between Lera and River has grown stronger so I thought that it would be River who would remember next. I was quite wrong. It seemed despite the distance between Tye and Lera, which was caused by her, Tye finally remembered. I’m so freaking glad.
There are still many steamy scenes, however, Shade does not make much of an appearance in this sequel. I wonder if he would be next to remember or River or both?
One thing good about the ending is that they were able to discover the plan of the enemy. I’m very curious about Rabbit. There’s more to the kid than meets the eye. He sees things that others can’t. I wonder if he is just human with a gift or something more?
OMG we are getting near to the end and Lera is still trying to to protect the academy with coal by her side. Not only is she trying to protect the academy she now has the added stress of having to complete her exams and if she fails she will have to leave the academy for good. Yeh finally Rivers tells Lera how he feels about her and they have a intimate moment so to speak loved it. But omg I want to hit Tye he has been so horrible towards Lera and I really feel for her as she knows they are her mates but the men don’t remember. Shade was not in the book very much at all would have liked to have shade in the book as I really like him. But again Alex lidell has done another fantastic book can’t get enough of these characters love them all
Many books in and still everybody does not have their memory back, but we're getting closer, albeit at a snail's pace. It still boggles my brain why the author decided to do these mini series - was it because she wanted to keep interest in the series without having people to wait for the next book to come out? Very confused at the rationale of this. I am glad these books are free because if I paid for it I would have been mad. This book is actually one of the better episodes because we learned some things in this one of what's to come but it was the usual plot, Leralynn trying to save the world and getting herself in more trouble, sex, flirting, and plotting. Read if you're invested in the series but don't be surprised if you're still just as frustrated at the end of it.
Enemy Tyes is a fantastic story, what a great addition to the GFA series!
In this story, it focus on Lera joining the Prowess team in order to not only gather information needed, but to be in a location in order to defend the Academy and the mortal realm. The story focuses on Tye, who's not only furious at Lera for her actions, but his actions and comments are downright cruel.
Reading this book, made me laugh at points, but I was in tears for most of the story, Tye's cruel actions to Lera is so heartbreaking. A definite must read! Will this be the breaking point for Tye and Lera? You'll have to read the book to find out!
I adored Alex Lidell’s Power of Five novels and have been gobbling up her Great Falls Academy serial as each appears. Even though both are set in the same world and have the same starting characters, sorta (well, there is that whole memory change thing for the guys), the new serial can be read and thoroughly enjoyed independently. So now we come to Enemy Tyes (Episode 7). Lera is in a bit of a pickle here (see the kindle blurb summary, it’s perfectly good), but I’d never bet against her. Well written, with a great (exciting) plot, a perfect cast and benefitting from perfect world-building. Also totally fun. Exactly what I look for and easily worth five stars.
This series is finally picking up!!! It seems that we have gone in a reverse sort of order now, with the 2nd to 5th books counting up to Lera ‘connecting’ with each of the guys to now each book unveils the amulet’s power from them. I know for sure I’ll like these last four more.
⚠️SPOILERS⚠️ Tye remembers in this book, the panic of seeing Lera, who finally saves herself from something, getting abused by Zake destroying the amulet’s hold.
I LOVE how we now know that little Rabbit can see the Fae. CAN THEY TAKE HIM BACK TO LUNO’S?!?! PLEASE?!?! Or maybe he will stay with Aisha. But for some reason, I think he’s part fae. Why can he see them???? I MUST KNOW.
The quint continues to capture my love and feelings as each story progresses. This book had me in love with Coal, excited by River, and both frustratingly angry yet sympathetic and forgiving to Tye. I would've loved to see more Shade because I missed my favorite guy, but I know he will make a heavier appearance soon enough. Lera and the guys lives are turning more and more complex and dangerous. That scene with Zake had me fearful as Lera but I love how she overcame it. Always a warrior, even when she didn't know it. Looking forward to the last two books, but saying goodbye will be hard.
Wow, this is already episode 7? It goes so fast! While I was all over the moon with the last installment (Hide and Seek), this one turned out to be more of a bridge between book 6 and 8. Yes, of course, there was all sorts of stuff going on, like Lera joining the Prowess team (wait, what?) and getting ready for the exams. But apart from quite a lot of sex, nothing really happens :( I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and it feels we're getting closer to the final showing!! But I do hope the next episode will have a tad more content.
Episode 7 really felt like the turning point toward the end of this series I love, building up to the Prowess Trials (in a way I didn't expect). The trials definitely feel like they will be a huge climactic event for the series and I am looking forward to how they play out. I enjoyed the developments with both River and Tye, who were featured in this episode over the other heroes. I enjoy every single one of those episodes and I am starting to feel the sadness that they are coming to an end. Letting go of these characters will be bittersweet to be sure.
Another exciting, but over too fast, episode in this series, although it’s probably my fault as once I start I can not put my kindle down! Lera finally has some gorgeous masculine help. Difficulties abound with some new and some old enemies, as she tries to figure out a plan to save everyone, while coping with the ever changing circumstances, the amulets cause.
I was waiting for things to come to a head with Tye. While I understand, I'm still filled with righteous anger on Lera's behalf because of his behavior in this book. Don't get me wrong, I totally loved every second of this episode, hence the 5 stars, but I also expect much groveling from Tye in the next book. (AND the others, eventually, minus Shade. He's been an angel, of course, and I love him.) I'm glad to see mean-girl Tye go. I'll probably only miss him a little bit.
