Willow has been living with marriage-shy Charlie for more years than she cares to remember and is old-fashioned enough to want a wedding band and a loads-of-sex honeymoon before stretchmarks and nipple shields.
So when the once-wary Charlie surprisingly goes down on one knee, Willow doesn’t question why her boyfriend is suddenly so keen to rush her into saying “I do”.
The first clue comes as Willow is zipped into her Cinderella dress, the second as she bobs into the wedding car, and the third as the Roller swings towards its fairy-tale destination… leaving a shell-shocked Willow desperately trying to figure out what to do next.
Kev had more faults than the cracks in Earth’s crusts and could be feistier than a racehorse waiting for the off at the Grand National.
Jean was now turning to face Willow, her face looking like a walrus who’d anticipated a fish supper but been given tofu.
She told me I have all the passion of a pensioner at a rave.
Karen, pursing her lips. ‘Don’t do that… That thing with your mouth. Makes it look like a cat’s bum.’
My Review:
This was a fun and delightfully comical tale full of saucy humor, conflicted characters, and a few selfish, contemptible, sleazy, and vile lying cheats. At first, I was restless and alarmed at the rocketing infidelity and breezy disregard Charlie exhibited toward Willow, as well as her lack of observational skills, complete gullibility, and inability to consider warnings. Willow was a sap, quite slow on the uptake, and more than a bit ditzy, but that “sneery little voice in her head” knew better. I have one of those too, although mine generally makes naughty observations and floods my mind with useless bits of information when I’m trying to recall something important like how many calories are in ice cream or my true age.
Ms. Viggiano’s storylines were crisp and amusingly entertaining, the banter was snappy, her characters were enticing yet fatally flawed and humorously detailed, and her analogies were absurdly creative and called up sharply focused and ironic visuals. I smirked, cringed, and giggle-snorted while I read and although I had solved the mystery of the identities of the guilty parties, I still enjoyed the bumpy ride all the way to disembarking the vehicle. This was my first exposure to the comedic stylings of Debbie Viggiano and I adored her clever humor and wry wit so much I have added her entire Goodreads listing to my TBR.
Ms. Viggiano has also provided me with two new additions to my Brit Words and Phrases list with gave it some welly – to use force, and ear-wigging – to eavesdrop.
4☆ An Entertaining, Enjoyable, Fun, Romance with a good deal of witty humour.
Willow’s Wedding Vows is a Entertaining, Enjoyable, Fun, Romance with a good deal of witty humour and Drama. Willow has been with Charlie for quite some time now, but has never even seemed the slightest bit committed to marriage until now!
Charlie is a character that you will literally want to slap. He treats Willow awfully. Then there's Willow who you want to give a good shake, telling her to wake up! Especially as she's such a sweetheart and she really doesn't deserve being treated as Charlie's doormat.
You see Charlie comes across to Willow as loyal behind closed doors. But as soon as those doors are open....Charlie is a serial womaniser and cheat! He just can't help himself!
But will Willow discover his cheating ways before he puts a ring on her finger?
Willow’s Wedding Vows certainly kept me entertained and giggling with all the drama, twists and secrets. The characters were very well written, complex, flawed and not all of them particularly likeable, but that only added to the enjoyment of the plot. There was a few juicy twists, some satisfying comeuppance, some unexpected romance and a delightful ending.
I always enjoy Viggiano's books, she's a very talented Author and i look forward to reading more!
If you are looking for a light hearted, Entertaining, Romantic comedy that delves into infidelity, secrets, lies, suspense and drama then you will love reading Willow’s Wedding Vows by Debbie Viggiano!

Entertaining and amusing. Debbie Viggiano once again captivated me with her humorous and realistic storytelling. If you have not read the blurb to this book please don’t, I think the blurb along with the title are a bit misleading. You will understand the meaning of the title when you reach the end, but you will question it for most of the book. Willow has been with her boyfriend Charlie for almost a decade, they even own a house together. Willow wants it all: the 2.5 kids the white picket fence and a loving husband, the problem is Charlie is definitely not on the same page. Charlie was such an absolute jerk. The man could not keep it in his pants to save his life. And Willow, oh Willow so naïve and trusting, I seriously wanted someone to talk some sense to her. Admittedly some people did try, they just weren’t blunt enough. You might be wondering where the humor is in all this, believe me it is there. Willow is a great character with a huge heart and she has some pretty amazing friends. I also found Willow somewhat relatable, I’m sure most of us have at some time ignored a big red flag in a relationship because we were so determined to make it work. I was so invested in the story because I wanted Willow to see the light and somehow find her way to a proper happily ever after. A fun feel good story about facing the truth and moving on.

*** Big thank you to the author for my gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own. ***
It is only when you get towards the end of this book that you'll appreciate the appropriateness of the title. When the author warned of the story including infidelity, she certainly wasn't joking! Willow and Charlie have been living together for years. On her thirtieth birthday she mentions the possibility of them getting married to him but she's so kind, caring and considerate she doesn't realise just what a dreadful self-centred and total scumbag he is. He has had a variety of affairs with other women whilst living with her and she never suspected. Now, however, one of those other women is also determined to get him to break up with Willow and reveal their currently secret relationship .....
The story is told from multiple points of view and most of the narrators have their conscience contributing to their revelations. Despite the infidelity, the story is also humorous as some of the many more obnoxious characters seem to get themselves into some real messes. There's an on going mystery about the identity of Kev which is only actually revealed very near to the end of the story. There are plenty of folks to dislike in this story and it is the ending which makes the journey worthwhile, complete with a whole variety of revelations. It is an entertaining read that had me laughing out loud and cringing in almost equal quantities!
I requested and was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest review after choosing to read it.
I had two main thoughts the whole way through this book.
1 - how on earth does the title fit what I'm reading? Well let me assure you it will in time make some sense and when it does I was practically cheering!
2 - I could barely believe what an utter tosser (OK insert much ruder stronger words to really get the drift) that Charlie is.
He is an utter nightmare of a man, not someone you would really want yourself or your friends to spend any time with.
Yet he somehow successfully keeps this part of himself hidden from Willow.
Ah Willow she has been with Charlie many years, and just wants to marry him. She at times seemed completely oblivious and far too trusting even when it was clear she should at least second guess herself.
OK so I wasn't keen on most of the characters in the book, but at the same time I enjoyed seeing just what a mess they could get themselves into.
I was curious about just how everything turned out and although I may not have liked Charlie at one point I did very almost feel sorry for him... well fleetingly!
Definitely an entertaining story that I did very much enjoy reading.
Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
so charlie is a complete asshole who constantly cheats on willow and justifies it with ”i’m not married so that doesn’t count as me being unfaithful” and therefore he also doesn’t want to get married. oh and he’s also having an affair with a woman named kev whom he always complain about and compares her to willow but like?? he?? still?? loves?? willow??
so he tries to end the affair, ends up sleeping with kev again because he apparently cannot control his own desires and then tries to dump her again but ends up negotiating for a month without kev. and then, with the epiphany that willow is the only one for her and he wants to marry her, he goes to birmingham to you guessed it; CHEAT ON HER!
but plot twist, the girl he meets is his previous fling *and* she’s pregnant. so charlie literally flees from this girl and goes to kev and sleeps with her. then he pays the pregnant girl to go away and proposes to willow.
charlie literally belives himself to be a good guy, but he’s cocky, stupid, selfish and doesn’t care about other people’s feelings. he treats willow more like a house keeper than a girlfriend of more than ten years, and constantly complains about how hard his life is. but guess what buddy? you chose this. you chose to cheat on the woman who loved you more than anything so you do not have the right to say that you’re ”exhausted from breaking up with kev after sleeping with her” and proceeds to fall asleep when your girlfriend wants to talk to you after you’ve made her cook and clean and then left her alone to watch tv with you best friend. just, no. i really hate charlie and i don’t buy the crap that he’s reformed.
and willow? well she’s naive, oblivious and too trusting for her own good, so i found it hard to like her as well. especially when she too cheated on charlie on the day of her wedding by kissing luke? tom? i dont know, australian man. at least you didn’t marry charlie, but that’s about the only good thing you did during the whole book.
the whole plot was so ridiculous. emma, ben and anna, ben’s ex girlfriend all knew that charlie was cheating but instead of letting willow know they kept silent and just dropped subtle hints. that was shitty behaviour and they should’ve just told willow when they found out, no friend would want their friend to be treated like that by their partner.
honestly this was a terrible book with terrible characters. the only reason i did not quit reading was because i wanted to find out who kev was, which wasn’t even hard. the author tried too hard to point it towards emma but there was no way it could’ve been her and it was obvious that emma’s ”taken man” was ben. as soon as we were introduced to emma’s mum i knew she was kev.
and that ending? willow sees a man one time, gets a crush on him and kisses him on her wedding day. and the man? kisses a taken woman whom he hasn’t even talked with for a whole fricking hour in total?? i will however admit that the ending amused me. australian man’s step father is the man his wife was previously engaged to, and his mother is his step father’s mistress turned wife.
it was a fascinating book. don’t get me wrong, the novel is utter garbage. but it is fascinating how someone could come up with this plot, write it, and send it to a publisher who read it, loved it, and thought it would be a good idea to publish it. just, how??

The synopsis does a good job of laying out the basics for this story and if you are a fan of romance and rom-com then I think you are going to really enjoy this one. While it does read as a rom-com, there is far more then meets the eye. Meeting the eye, well the least said about that the better, as a roving eye is probably more appropriate! There are certainly some chuckles as well as some eye-opener with this story… I seem to be a little fixated with eyes!!!
So, Willow is a lovable character who has been with long term boyfriend Charlie for several years. They live together and as his job is oh so much more stressful than hers, after all, she is a librarian that may occasionally have to deal with disgruntled customers, yeah I wasn’t a fan of him in case you hadn’t realised!
He is successful and often has to attend meetings and is often away for weekends. His best mate Ben has just split up with his other half. Willow’s best mate, Emma has not had much luck in the boyfriend department, and even Emma’s Mum seems to single. It is only Willow and Charlie that seem to be the only couple. Oh, and I almost forgot Kev, well this is a character that had a quite a large part to play in the grand scheme of things.
Now as the story progressed I got to know more about Charlie and Willow, and I have to say the inclusion of the italicised comments are brilliant. They add a humorous tone and are definitely enjoyable.
The story goes through the high’s and lows of Willow and Charlie's relationship, things are not as hunky-dory as they appear, but they are a solid couple, aren’t they…
I really enjoyed the pace of this story, it had an easy flow and made for effortless reading. In no time I was caught up in the shenanigans of, well mainly Charlie actually. Yes, this is a story about Willow, but the first half focused more on Charlie. It is later in the book that Willow takes the larger part and for good reason to.
This is not a straight-forward rom-com, it has much more to it and follows a very twisty route. The is a very large secret that I will admit to working out, but I think this was down to the hints that were gradually dropped and led me to follow the breadcrumbs as it were to successfully work it out.
A very enjoyable read and one I would definitely recommend for a lighter read but one that still has serious undertones. It has left me wondering why on earth I have not read any of this author's books before. I have purchased a few of her books and they are still to be read. I know I am not alone when I mention this!
This looked like such a fun read if the cover was anything to go by!! Librarian, Willow just wants her boyfriend, Charlie to pop the question. They’ve been going out together for so long, but every time the ‘M’ word comes up, Charlie breaks out in a nervous sweat and manages to avoid the situation. You really have to feel sorry for poor old Willow though because as the story moves on, you get to realise that perhaps she’d be better off without him!
Willow is a lovely character, she absolutely adores Charlie and is blissfully ignorant to the fact that he’s a bit of a player, but then again that is probably putting it mildly!! As you get to know Charlie, it becomes obvious that the old saying of ‘having your cake and eating it’ definitely applies to him! I disliked him with a passion, not just for the fact that he thinks working in a library is boring (if you can’t guess, I work in a library!!) but because of how he treats Willow, and women in general. The title of the book does pose a bit of mystery most of the way through the book, as Charlie is most adamant that he doesn’t want to get married, but as the story moves on all becomes apparent.
The main characters of Willow, Charlie and Kev (you’ll work it out!) tell the story well with plenty of twists and turns in the plot as to who Kev is! I thought I had it all sussed out, but alas no and I was surprised with the sting in the tail of who it actually was!! I was also kept on my toes with Willow’s romantic interest and what decisions she was going to make! In fact, as the story continued all the characters seemed to have a part with their own little dilemmas and this kept me hooked into the story throughout! I won’t spoil the ending, but it definitely ties up all the loose ends!!
This was a fun, easy to read book of relationships, friendships and family. It does have some lessons learnt for all the characters, and the storyline gives most of the characters the opportunity to make the right decisions eventually. I really enjoyed Willow’s journey and once started I was caught up in the book until I reached the end. Would definitely recommend!
Willow is a lovely woman, loyal, naive and much too good for her live-in lover Charlie. Charlie is self-absorbed, deceitful and narcissistic. So not a couple destined for happiness, nevertheless Willow wants to marry him.
It's hard to find redeeming features in most of this story's main characters, except Willow and Emma. Yet, this story works, following Charlie's numerous infidelities and the payback he gradually receives is darkly amusing. The plot has many twists, which I guessed, but despite this, the ending is dramatic and satisfying.
I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.
There are books where I only have to see who they are written by and I know they will be good. One of those names is Debbie Viggiano.
Her stories are funny, her writing style is great and when I read one of her books, it’s more like watching a movie. You see everything happen so clearly. It’s like sitting on the most expensive seats in a theatre. Brilliant!
I have devoured a few of her books before and she keeps on delivering masterpieces. If you feel a bit down, one remedy: a book by this author. 🙂 She will have you laughing in no time.
I flew through the book like a house on fire. It was just that amazingly good. 5 big fat stars.
Thank you, Debbie Viggiano and Rachel’s Random Resources
Willow’s a sweetheart. An assistant librarian who’s just passed her thirtieth birthday, she’s wistfully waiting for her boyfriend Charlie to pop the question so they can settle down into wedded bliss… unaware that Charlie’s sleeping with any woman who’ll give him the time of day, including someone whose precise identity is concealed for most of the book, but we know it’s someone Willow knows well.
Charlie is, frankly, an unmitigated scumbag, and spending quite a few chapters in his PoV as he merrily gads about lying to Willow and doing whatever he feels like left me with a nasty taste in my mouth, and a desperate desire for at least one of Willow’s friends to bite the bullet and either tell Willow the truth or confront Charlie properly long before it got to the point where Willow and Charlie were actually in the middle of their wedding. I actually ended up sort of applauding the ‘other woman’ for having the guts to finally do something, although she left it unconscionably late.
The deeper I got into the story, the more I cringed, knowing how awful it was going to be for Willow when the hammer finally fell. I actually got it all wrong at first: I thought housemate Ben would turn into her love interest rather than Noah, who was first introduced very late in the game and only virtually at first. I would definitely have liked to see Noah and Willow get the chance to build a friendship first, rather than spend so much time in Charlie’s horribly self-centred PoV.
Billed as a rom-com, there are a few amusing moments in it but an actual romance? I’m not sure it actually qualifies because Noah took so long to appear in the story. I’d say it’s a coming-of-age contemporary women’s fiction, with a likeable heroine who unfortunately spends most of the story oblivious to the looming disaster about to overtake her.
This is well-written, with characters who feel very realistic and normal and situations that feel oh-so-familiar. The only quibble I had was that there were a few too many PoV changes, sometimes at random in the middle of a chapter with no break to indicate it was coming - one moment we’d be privy to Willow’s inner thoughts and the next we’re in Charlie’s head. It’s jarring and a good editor will tell authors not to do it, to at least indicate the PoV change using a scene or chapter break. I’ll give it four stars because I did enjoy the read… but once again it’s not a rom-com and I’m getting sick of publishers slapping that label on books which are really great, but just do not belong in that category.
Disclaimer: I received a review copy of this title via Rachel’s Random Resources.
This is definitely not a book to be taken seriously! In this romcom, you will find Willow who is desperate to marry her long-term boyfriend, Charlie, who we know from the strat is certainly not marriage material! He has absolutely no intention of entering into ant form of commitment, I did find it quite difficult to keep my patience with Willow who steadfastly pushes to the back of her mind any doubts she may have about him.
You also see the story from more than one perspective. There are quite a few amusing characters in the mix and there is a mystery around the identity of one, Kev, which was a surprise to me when the truth was revealed. This is an entertaining read with some larger than life situations and a very small soupcon of romance.
In short: Charlie and Willow… Love's young's dream? Hardly! Thanks to the author for a copy of the book.
If you're looking for romance... keep on looking. If you're looking to hate on men, then grab this book. I loved this book and thoroughly enjoyed hating on Charlie. Just to say it would have been a 5 if the plot hadn't been a bit predictable.
Willow and Charlie have been together forever (well a decade anyway!), and if ever Willow brings up the topic of marriage Charlie runs a mile. Despite owning a home together, he appears to be a commitment-phobe. Willow adores him though, and she convinces herself that she is happy as they are, that what they have will be enough for her until he suddenly proposes!
Charlie loves Willow - he thinks. She does everything for him at home, she's attractive, but he just can't bring himself to marry her. His 'friend' Kev starts to put pressure on him and suddenly he finds himself getting very hot under the collar. Maybe he has got a good thing with Willow?
Ben is Charlie's best friend. But he is really struggling to like him. Ben thinks Willow is amazing, he just cannot understand why Charlie won't commit to her. Now Ben has found someone her can really see a future with, he finds himself struggling more and more about being involved in Charlie and Willow's situation.
Emma is Willow's best friend, but she seems to be spending a lot of time feeling guilty. She has met someone who seems intent on breaking her heart, and she just cannot bring herself to tell Willow the truth about Charlie.
Willow is a great character, even if she is a little naïve. She loves her boyfriend Charlie, almost unconditionally. She is able to see past his faults, although it becomes increasingly apparent that love really might be blind. She trusts him implicitly, and when he proposes to her instead of hearing warning bells all she can hear is wedding bells! She is about to get her happy ever after! I loved Willow, but there were times that I struggled with her naivity. She took everything that Charlie said at face value - the thought that he could lie to her doesn't even cross her mind.
I have to say though, I think Charlie may have been my favourite character. He's a dog that's for sure, but I loved watching him squirm as he continually finds himself in awkward situations of his own making. It was more than a little satisfying watching him sweat! Don't get me wrong, how he treats Willow is unforgivable but I thoroughly enjoyed following him dealing with the consequences of his own actions.
Debbie Viggiano has written a great, easy-read novel with some excellent twists. Whilst I did guess who 'Kev' was before the big reveal, she throws in some great curveballs to keep you guessing. Willow certainly grows as a person throughout the novel, realising her self-worth and I always enjoy a novel that has good character development. This is an all round great novel, perfect for reading during these strange times.
Willow is living together with her boyfriend Charlie. She is ready for the next chapter, marriage, but Charlie is totally against marriage. Not because he is against the whole institution of marriage, but just because he’s a scumbag, d*ckhead, *sshole, … (fill in other words to describe a nasty man). So when Charlie finally gets on his knee to pop the question, Willow is over the moon! But is it really because of his love for Willow? Or is there more?
First of all, when you start reading this story, forget all the summaries you’re read on the internet. This because the wedding is just a tiny part of the whole story. Even the engagement is further away in the story. This is more about Willow’s and Charlie’s relationship. If you take this in account, you’ll enjoy this story just like I did. Or just get angry at most characters! Willow is a kind hearted woman, loving Charlie above everything. She confides in her best friend Emma and loves working in the library, even if it means working together with Jean. She is one of the few I truly cared about in the story.
Charlie is just, as stated above, a scumbag, with a Peter Pan complex, never growing up. And part of my frustrations was that he gets away with it every time! He’s a slick, smooth talker and the more I got to know him, the more I hoped that karma would be a real b*tch, like he deserves! Even other characters were so vile in my opinion, I just didn’t like them. And I hoped that Willow would find out the truth and give each one of them a piece of her mind! Even her best friend Emma was on my ‘I don’t like you at all’ list.
And yes, I DID enjoy the book! I know it doesn’t look like it, but I truly did. The more I got to know everyone, I saw more mess being created. And I knew that the truth would be discovered. Question was: how and when? And how would Wilow react and do??? Luckily there were also nice people in it, and sometimes even people you wouldn’t suspect of being on Willow’s side. And these people make up for all the bad characters in it. Because they are really genuine, and have the best interest for Willow. The grand finale really was a “WHAAAAAAT????” moment, because I did not see that one coming! So be prepared to dislike a lot of people, but also keep an open mind that not everything is what it seems, and KARMA IS A B*TCH!!!!
Secondly, Willow’s Wedding Vows is a romantic mystery more than anything else. All throughout the story, I kept trying to guess who “Kev,” the mystery woman is and what the title had to do with the story.
There are plenty of red herrings, but the answers are literally looking at you right in the face. I mentally smacked myself on the forehead when I found out. Of course!
The hilarious twists and turns kept me riveted till the end, but I couldn’t be happier when justice is served and all parties involved get their due. Full marks to Willow for coming to the right conclusion!
Willow has a job in the library I would love to have, but she’s too sweet and trusting. And she’d definitely a doormat, letting Charlie walk all over her while she cooks and cleans for him.
Everybody conspires in their own way to keep Willow from finding out about Charlie’s cheating ways. I didn’t quite agree with their justification because if they really cared about her, they would have found a better way of telling her–so that she REALLY understood.
On her part, Willow deludes herself into believing that Charlie is the ideal partner despite there being many signs that he is not. Perhaps she doesn’t want to give up a nine-year investment–I would understand that. She is too gullible, even though her inner voice is always speaking the truth.
I loved how Charlie kept digging a deeper hole for himself each time he tried to “have fun.” I followed the tug of war between Willow’s inner voice and outer persona with great interest–some of the most comic moments happen when she’s daydreaming and real life intrudes on her.
I got lost amid the tantalizing clues sprinkled throughout the narrative about who Charlie’s mystery woman is, and there was a point when I thought it could be anybody and I just gave up!
The author has gradually introduced a more suitable romantic alternative for Willow so that it’s entirely believable that they could go on to date and have a meaningful relationship.
I couldn’t put the book down once I’d begun. It is fast-paced, light-hearted, full of drama, and has some hilarious moments where Charlie thinks he’s going to be outed in front of his girlfriend.
(Thank you to the author and Rachel’s Random Resources for the opportunity to read this book!)
Willow is the sweetest and most delightful character and from the very beginning you just want her to have the happy life she deserves. Unknown to her, her partner Charlie is an absolute plank and a serial cheat. As the story moves forward, Willow begins to question herself and Charlie more. Will she get her happy ever after?
I loved the character of Willow so much. Everyone needs a Willow in their life - selfless and so caring but I loved it when she started to toughen up a little and become more assertive. Charlie was written so well. The reader knows almost immediately what a arse Charlie is but he's written in a way that makes him not too slimy.
The story is told from the perspective of Willow and Charlie which I really enjoyed. Usually when a romance novel narrates from a female and male's perspective the male is a good guy. It's rare we see the arsehole's perspective and as much as I hated him, I found this a refreshing perspective to read about. It's not often you get to see the events unfold from this perspective.
I spent the whole novel cheering for Willow. The suspense of knowing who the mystery person was kept me turning pages and my half way prediction of what was going to happen was not accurate at all but highly satisfying.
A delightful read that is easy to devour and will put a smile on your face. Highly recommended.
The characters were lovely, they were well developed and they worked really well with the plot too and I loved getting to know them, I loved their witty nature and they really had me giggling in places. I loved the author’s previous book and this one was also a lovely entertaining read and I will certainly be looking out for her next release!
I loved the descriptions and she really brought the story to life for me. It was very well written and the perfect read for me at the current time where I have taken a slight step away from the other genres I have been reading.
It is 4 stars from me for this one, I really enjoyed it – highly recommended!
Ok so don’t rely on the cover & the blurb to give you a clue on what this story’s about. It’s described as a LOL romcom with some serious aspect to it, but it’s more like the other way around.
There were many moments that you start asking if the FMC is seriously that clueless. I didn’t like how her so called friends knew the secret but didn’t tell her straight up, even though they wanted to but just didn’t know how 🤦🏾♀️Oh I don’t know maybe just open your mouth & say it!!!
It was cringe reading about the instant attraction that occurred in the book (iykyk) & how there wasn’t much information on that at all then BAM you’ve got an epilogue for that show, like what?!! So my experience reading this book was different to how I thought it was going to go.
The story about Willow and Charlie and the friends and colleagues that surround them.
Willow is a trusting soul, Charlie is a Ladies man without any conscience.
The write up said it was funny and would make me laugh out loud, alas it didnt. I kept reading to see what the end would be and I guessed who Kev was very early on in the story.
Having read and enjoyed previous Debbie Viggiano books I was looking forward to this. It didn't tick all the boxes but it was a light hearted read.
okay so I didn't expect that ending that was a shock. This book was very funny at times the one liners and quintessentially British style banter was something that definitely kept me reading, but, I had a few gripes with some of the misogynistic views of the mmc's and also how ditsy the fmc willow was portrayed I just wanted to shake her. It was an enjoyable read, and I would read from this author again this is my first from them, so maybe others are better. Happy reading, everyone 📚 ☺️
I know I keep saying this every time a book by Debbie Viggiano is out, but she has really outdone herself this time! This is an amazing story that provided a much needed escape from the sad reality we're living. A brilliant comedy with a totally unexpected plot twist in the end that left me speechless! I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't recommend this brilliant author enough.
I read Debbie Viggiano but haven’t for a little while. This popped up In my recommendations so thought I would give it a try. So pleased I did. I had forgotten how gently entertaining DV’s books are and with this one did not see the ending coming. Highly recommended to cheer you up during lockdown. Enjoy.
If you're into stories where a man repeatedly cheats, the woman remains naively unaware while everyone else seems to know, and it all leads to a 'shocking' final reveal with the typical 'you go girl' moment—then this book is for you!
It delivers exactly what you'd expect! An easy read with a few 'gasp moments'. It served as my perfect in-between book, and I actually enjoyed it for that reason.
A very slow start , I found the first half of the book very dull and not really what I expected As it progressed to the end a lot better and a twist on kev Not who I thought it was at all !! First time reading from this author
I really enjoyed quite a few aspects of the story-line. It was a light, fun, charming rom-com that takes your mind off where we are as a world right now.
I found the chapters told from Charlie's POV difficult to read through, he's a first grade a-hole, so the author really did a great job getting us to hate him.
The rest of the characters are delightful and perfect for this unfolding dramedy. It took me a bit to get involved in the story and to be convinced of the relationships, but the twists and turns and overall fun had are worth the read.
I couldn't put the book down. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Have read a few of Debbie's books and I highly recommend you read them too. You won't be disappointed!
