Another awesome book to this series. Jacob and Taren were so hot together and their chemistry was rockin’! Years after Jacob left Taren with a broken heart, he returns determined to win her back, so he can not only mend her once broken heart but his too.
Of course Reignited brings together the loved characters from books 1 and 2, so I highly recommend reading those first in order to fully follow the story.

Reignited: Agents of Ensenada Book 3
I may need a new iPad after this series! The heat level just rose again in this second chance story about everyone’s favorite CIA fixer Jacob Smith and the love he walked away from 7 years ago Taren Fairchild.
Seven years ago Jacob walked away from Taren, he thought it was the best thing to do to keep her safe. The CIA had rules and his line of work could leave anyone related to him open to retaliation.
So he left, what he didn’t realize was not only would he break her heart he would break her emotionally. It took Taren a long time to work herself out of the depression and emotional grief she was going through, but when she did finally emerge she still wasn’t really herself. Jacob had arranged to have reports sent to him about her and when she finally started dating someone he figured she was fine. Of course she wasn’t really fine because she was constantly comparing her now ex-husband to Jacob, and if Jacob had ever bothered to look at himself, he wasn’t fine either.
It wasn’t until Jacob had recalled what (Mason)/Edward had said to Jacob, “Just because she moved on doesn’t mean he's the better man for her. I guarantee no one could love Reagan better than me." Recalling that made Jacob admit there was no doubt in his mind that the same could be said for how he loved Taren, he was the better man for her!
Convinced of his feelings for Taren, Jacob’s quest to convince her they could be together began. First, he needs to get her in a space where he can be close to her so he sends her anonymous tickets to a cruise and once the ship pulls away from the dock, the wooing of Taren begins!
With adjoining rooms, steamy hot sex and 24 hour attention while they cruise along the Mexican coast, it seems to Jacob he has a chance. Will Jacob win back not just Taren’s heart but her trust? Telling Taren the reason why he left her is just part of winning back her trust and now that Taren knows what Jacob did for the CIA and that he is now a private contractor can he give her what she needs?
In Book 3 Tess gives us two hearts that really do belong together but when a kidnapping occurs and Taren discovers how danger still might follow Jacob around, can she overcome her worries and let herself love and have total trust in Jacob again? You just have to read this and find out!
Added to this book, which I always love from an author is bonus Epilogue, so please don’t forget to look for the link to get this bonus, it’s a sweet end to the story!

This is the second chance at love for Jacob and Taren. Jacob is the go to fixer for the CIA. 7 years earlier he left Taren without explanation because he wasn't allowed to reveal he was a CIA operative. He disappeared without a word, breaking both their hearts in the process. After watching Kennedy and Mason (the first two books in the series) find love and start families, he decides to try and rekindle their relationship after she divorces. She's understandably suspicious and tries not to fall for him again but their chemistry is undeniable and the second time around their connection is deeper than before. Just as with the prior books, there are explicit sex scenes and Jacob and Taren explore a Dom/sub relationship in the bedroom which is beyond hawt!! When a past operation comes back to threaten Kennedy's family, Taren is scared of what it could mean for their future and bolts. If you weren't rooting for them before, once you see what he's willing to do to win her back, you'll absolutely fall in love with them. I don't know if any other books are planned in the series but I'd read a book about John and Quinn and it seems like Marcus (Edward's brother) may have a back story worthy of a book.

Can he bring his innocent, sweet Taren into that world?
Oh, the cruise vacation he put together was so great. Jacob gets major points for that surprise. On board, he is romancing the daylights out of Taren, all the while he is still putting out fires and saving the day in the spy world. REIGNITED is so wonderful and sexy and FULL OF love.
I love Jacob, how he takes charge, how smart he is, all those years juggling all the dangerous people and places. This was a great story and is part of the super awesome ENSENADA HEAT/AGENTS OF ENSENADA series. Linda

Was okay but not quite what I expected
Reignited is the third book in the Agents of Ensenada series and the first I have read. This is the second chance romance between Jacob and Taren who had first meet and fell in love ten years ago. They were in a serious relationship for three years until he left her without so much as a backwards glance. This was due to his job and the danger it put her in, but the man was an idiot. Now it is seven years later and he has changed his mind. So he comes back to win her heart again.....but will she want him after all these years?
This was a good story but I have to say that I really wanted to kick Jacob from here to eternity for what he did and how he did it. But then again I was not a huge fan of Taren either as she was a bit childish to me.

Enh. I dunno, this guy seemed like a manipulative, controlling douche and the heroine seemed like a child. Also, who calls spanking ‘domestic discipline’? It’s BDSM, which is a kink, nothing to do with domesticity. 😑

Second chance romance that sizzles!

Summer may be over but the heat is on! It’s sizzling hot! Wow this book gave us a little bit of everything and a lot more than we expected. Within these pages we experienced a reconnection, intrigue, mystery, drama, suspense, romance, HEAT (with a little something extra) friendship, longing, and self sacrifice, which may be my personal favorite. Yeah the last two are my favorites. I found myself sighing when Jacob let his longing side show. It takes a real man to be comfortable in himself to let it shine and flow. Make no mistake, he is all man. Then the self sacrifice well you have to read it to get all the juicy details. I loved Taren. She may be sprite but she’s mighty in her own way. Good things come in small packages and she proves that theory. She has her own hidden talents.
This is my first read of this series but I’m guessing certain characters in this book were in other books in the series. No worries it’s a standalone. I wasn’t thrown at all or confused. The only thing is now I want to read the other books. By the time I was done this book as the song says, I was feeling hot, hot, hot! Yup, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Jake was a bonehead for ghosting Taren for seven long years after being in a serious relationship with her for three. Yes, his hands were tied due to his government job, but it was still a boneheaded move to have her fall in love with him and leave without explanation. It really could have been done in many other ways.
The redeeming quality was the way he understood that he made a mistake in the way he left her. Now after seven years, he was ready to grovel to get her back. He had been with many women during that time, supposedly to scratch his itch and no relationships, but yeah, still yuk.
In the meanwhile, Taren had settled with someone else and was now divorced after being cheated on multiple times. Not so good a time for Taren who was kept in the dark and heartbroken.
The meat of the storyline slowly revealed Jake's determination to win Taren back, but ended up making similar mistakes by not trusting her with information. They finally get their HEA with a leap of faith on her side to finally trust Jake despite their checkered past.

Reignited is book three in the Ensenada Heat series. Each book is a standalone where it focuses on it's own characters but to get to know the secondary characters....read and enjoy the series. This book is Jacob's story. He had been a CIA agent for awhile and involved in cases that there is no way he would risk having a wife or starting a family. So it had now been seven years that he let the love of his life go. No longer a CIA agent but in the mercenary line of work, he books himself a ten day cruise. This is not just a vacation, he is hoping that it is his second chance with Taren. He booked this cruise and purposely booked the cabin next to hers. He has ten days with no where to run or hide time to convince her to try again. This is by far his toughest mission ever as everything is on the line for this one, eve his heart. Another great story for this series! Story as always is well written with some fun, some challenges and of course that steamy character chemistry that just cannot be denied. I am looking forward to reading more of this series. Enjoy!

Now he's decided that he can love Taren better than anyone else and keep her safe, but will Taren give him a second chance?
This book jumped right into the reunion of Taren and Jacob and while I could feel the chemistry between the couple, I couldn't help but wish that Taren had made Jacob work a little harder for forgiveness before jumping into bed with him. I did feel the reunion was a bit rushed and the drug cartel element didn't interest me.
This is my first time reading this author and I was interested in the other characters in the book. I may check their books out.

I loved this third book of the ensenada heat series. After the first two books I became very curious about Jacob’s story. It was quite a journey. The book had it all, true love, great storyline. The domestic discipline worked well in the book.
What I love about the books of Tess Summers is that the other characters come back and you find out about other books coming. I’m looking forward for the next book.

This book is the third one in the Ensenada Heat series by Tess Summers. The key characters are Jacob, a former CIA fixer and current mercenary, and Taren, whose heart was broken unbeknownst to her when Jacob chose to leave her due to his being a potential danger to her. Jacob is now back and looking for a second chance with Taren. Will she give him a second Chance for love? This book is intriguing, humorous at times, and definitely a steamy read. I recommend it!

A well written, well developed, and engaging second chance romance! The story-line is emotionally deep, witty, fun, and interesting with some drama, trust issues, suspense, intrigue, passion, and ups and downs. The characters are amazing with intense, off the charts chemistry between them! Quite enjoyable. Definitely recommended!
