Rating: 3.5 stars.

I still like the concept and the plot twists offered by the author, but I'd read a handful of other books by this author so I know he can do so much better. But at least I took comfort that for a light novel aiming at the teenage market, this one really isn't stupid or ill-planned.

In the story, one of the teenage MCs asked: "Is the detective the center of the world, or is it the murderer?"

I admit I had never asked this question before. Lol

A cute little detective novel with a really excellent central dynamic between Ao and Momo that’s genuinely a joy to read. They carry this book heavily, which is good because I think the mysteries are a bit of a let down. Fun in concepts and execution, just not the most engaging, the limited time dedicated to each makes them feel too brief in some instances, like it was rushing towards the end before it feels like it even started

I’d love to see Ao and Momo again, they’re genuinely delightful to read and if I enjoyed the mysteries a bit more, this would easily be a 4. Will check out the authors other work eventually, this was a good first impression!

這本是偽裝成輕小說的機關算盡本格派(汗)
剛開始被青春洋溢的JK們蒙蔽了, 帶著輕鬆(不用腦)的心情閱讀, 馬上在開篇的[伊賀鄉殺人事件]就翻車了XD 只好來來回回重複看了好幾次, 還睡了一覺(腦袋重開機)後才搞懂XD

伊賀鄉殺人事件:
這是兩起失敗的謀殺混在一起的事件
1. 愛希教唆(No.3黑忍)丸山殺正樹, 結果丸山被誤殺
2. 虛構人物茅町(西大手偽裝的No.2黑忍)殺愛希, 結果因為以為自己以外的黑忍就是愛希, 錯殺丸山
這起事件最關鍵的點在於, 愛希聘用的殺手丸山扮成了黑忍. 原本丸山應該可以假扮工作人員,或是路人之類的, 但他扮成黑忍同時避免跟老闆愛希碰面, 純粹是維持表面上忍者的人數, 所以演變成錯殺事件. 其實扮黑忍反而增加了愛希的嫌疑, 真是吃力不討好啊...


整本看完覺得日本高中生太可怕了XD 東京死神也沒碰過這麼多殺人的高中生吧XD
麻耶雄嵩描寫JK的內心戲意外的細膩耶, 不是只有單純的推理而已。期待下一本的雙人偵探~
