If you need something to read that will warm your heart, lift your spirits, and make you laugh, this book will do it. What a fun way to spend an hour.

Danny the Dog lives with his human, Andrew, on a boat in Florida. This collection of brief stories focuses on Danny’s adventures, his human and animal friendships and rivalries, and his daily activities including acquiring hotdogs. He gets into a lot of trouble and is great at justifying his choices.

The stories are all told from Danny’s perspective with a rare story by Andrew while Danny’s vacationing. Each short chapter starts with a photo of Danny, a small dog with a huge personality. Danny’s wry sense of humor, indignation, and sarcasm are hilarious. He definitely thinks he’s in charge of this human/dog duo. Dog lovers will recognize many aspects of life with a canine companion. I adored this read and recommend it to dog lovers everywhere.

As one of the many readers who clamored for an entire book by Danny The Dog, I was baying at the moon in anticipation of reading this!

Let me tell you Danny didn't let any dogs lie. This book will have you howling with laughter and your tail will wag at the anticipation of reading the next short.

Witty, entertaining, and fully tongue in cheek, this is a great read. During this time in the world filled with stress and uncertainty, a light farce is just what we all need. I recommend this book to everyone on this planet. The author deftly skewers himself in a dignified fashion through the paw print type of Danny. Simply brilliant. This book is one that will have readers panting for more.

Something Monty Python would have loved to pen in their hey day, had they the inspiration.

This book is a reminder of all the fun that the fans of Danny enjoyed each month, when he penned his own article about his adventures and encounters with humans and four-legged friends alike.

Not all was harmless fun as poisonous toads were ingested, and larger dogs underestimated this pint sized, fiesty defender. But for the majority of the last fourteen years, this lovely little dog has had an amazing life. Living on a boat with his human and training him to provide certain expected luxuries on demand such as turkey ham and hot dogs. Being petted and indulged at social gatherings at the marina hot spot and charming every lady he was introduced to. We discover his favourite things, such as car rides, and his insightful views on Christmas and human frailties.

For those who know Danny this is a reminder of his acerbic wit and entertaining forthrightness, and for new readers an opportunity to view the world at ground level (well he is a small dog). It is fun and light-hearted and a feel good read that is an antidote to life’s trials and tribulations.

FOR ANY BLOGS I MISSED
I couldn’t resist grabbing this when I saw it advertised. I was an avid follower of Danny the Dog’s blog posts and I wanted to make sure I read them all. A light, fun book by one of the best dog authors in the world, despite unprecedented interference from his human pet Andrew.

The content of this book is delightful. The hero of this book is perfect (I'm sure Danny will agree with me :)) What an amazing dog he is - with great imagination! He also sees things (the world) more clearly than his human. He knows when to exercise his human, when to drag him to the party, when to ignore (kinda always, unless turkey slice is involved...), when to flirt with the girls or when to lie (ah, sorry... Danny never lies!).

Very light, positive book about fearless, funny and smart dog. Every story makes you smile and the ending is usually hilarious! Best read in the past months.

For anyone who has ever had a dog, or even if you haven't, you will enjoy this fun book. Danny is an extraordinary pouch who writes blog posts. He has his human trained well and, although he makes fun of him, he loves him a lot. It was so funny at times I had to read parts of it to my hubby. We both agree he is hilarious. I love how Danny takes his human for walks and totally ignores him when he calls his name. Danny is a very friendly social dog, who knows everyone in the neighbourhood. This book is well worth a read.

Danny the Dog pulls no punches, especially when it comes to his human, Andrew.
Danny’s biting wit, love of turkey slices, affect on human females, finder of interesting smells, and dedication to the health and fitness of his human, by taking him on regular walks and run-arounds, makes for a cornucopia of short stories, all told in Danny’s famous humble style.
