UnderCurrents: Who Will Satisfy Their Thirst?

Rate this book
Handcuffed to Sir’s dark desires, Avril’s only chance for survival depends on pleasing her callous master. As the man’s twisted pleasures expand, can Avril endure long enough to outwit the sadistic punisher or will his tight tether be the last thing she sees?

In this next edition of her captivity, ‘UnderCurrents’ continues Avril’s story trying to balance her survival with her desire to take down the Consortium. She knows enough of her situation that escape is impossible. Even if she can get away, Sir would use the resources of the Consortium for hunting her down and return her to his clutches. Her only hope is taking down the Consortium, granting her a chance to return to a normal life, even if it’s not her old life.

Her strategy to keep her alive seems to work. Unfortunately, she’s no closer to taking down the organization that stole and sent her into a life of bondage. Forced to serve and submit, spending time in his dungeons extracting her screams was a necessary consequence to her plan.

Putting her plan into action requires decisions and behaviors she’s uncomfortable with, knowing they may forever damn her soul. She murdered others, knowing full well she will never forgive herself. Her only hope for redemption is her hope that God will forgive her, saving innocent souls from suffering her fate.

"Everything is possible, nothing is impossible, it's all in the attitude." My personal motto.

So, that says a bit about me. I grew up in a world of believing that everything worth doing was worth doing well. I know that many things don't seem possible but who would have thought that 'Star Trek' communicators that flipped up would become a reality a decade ago.

I am the son of a war veteran who returned home to find his bride had moved on in life and left him behind. I suppose I should consider myself lucky as I was born to his second wife. Otherwise, I might not be around today.

Both were creative people. Dad had little creativity that only comes from the soul but had technique like I've never seen before. Mom had the creative talent but no technique. I think I inherited some of each.

Today, thousands of images flow through my brain in a single day, every day. I can't capture them all. My artwork tries but so many get away from me. My stories do a better job of capturing them. It is why I like to paint and write fiction based on fantasy, sci-fi, the awesome female form and erotica.

Some say I have a deviant spirit. Maybe I do. Others embrace that which I reveal to people. Yes, I have decades of experience hiding parts of me from the world. Frankly, I was scared to reveal my true self in a politically correct world where even the slightest comment or opinion can be chastised and degraded. I'm slowly learning to rewrite those feelings and embrace who I truly am. Thankfully, I have a very special person in my life who allows me the freedom to do exactly that, even if she doesn't agree with me at times.

So, there you have it. I'm a free-spirit, who embraces as much as I can, accepts that others have their beliefs that I will never try to change and open-minded enough to believe that not everything I was taught may be the truth. I question everything.

I see the universe we live in as a living entity. There is life and a spirit everywhere, in each of us, the trees outside my window, the rocks we walk on, the stars in the sky, the Milky Way galaxy and well, the entire universe.

Thanks for reading this far. Write me if you would like to know more. I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. I only ask that you be patient. I know you're busy and so am I. Thank you for taking your precious time to read about me.

Is there another book?

I read all three books and they held my attention till the end. The ending was such a disappointment l literaly just sat there with my mouth open after finishing. I thought possibly l was to use my imagination, but l still had so many questions and was very anxious to knew what happened to the consortium and Avril. The ending was so bad is the reason l gave it 3 stars

Good book just wonder what will happen with Sir and Avril, hope the next book is out soon. Also wonder if the senator will be around for awhile or not.

Slowly and steady Avril is losing her humanity. I don’t really enjoy the reading but I can’t stop reading. I only hope and wait for the moment the Consortium goes down

I want to know what happened at the end! What happened with the senator and Avril? Is she still there?

Under Currents

The author, Richard Verry, tells a spectacular story but his cliffhangers are more torture for the reader. Is there a plan for a fourth book? I don't want to be a spoiler so I'll just say, there are too many loose ends which need to be tied up for the story to conclude. The conclusion doesn't have to be an HEA, which I suspect would and could not happen. Just need answers to finish the story and characters lines. So what happens to the Consortium and their prey?
