War is hell and a war with hell even more so…

Broken by terror, separated by time and circumstance, drawn back together again by insufferable evil, friends stood against the maleficent horror and survived once. But the demons have a new leader, and Toby, Benny, Shannon, Mike, and Scott now face the collected might of the demons inhabiting Oneka Falls.

They hunted the Demon King in the forest around the town and sparked a war with an enemy they barely understood. Worse yet, by attacking Herlequin and disrupting his plans, they painted a bright target on their own backs for the rest of the demons in the town. Led by Chaz Welsh and Lee LaBouche, the demons strike back, forcing the demon hunters to run for their lives.

The Hag advances the horrifying series that will bring back your childhood fear of the dark. If you like your hair standing on end, if you like your pulse pounding with fear, then you'll love this terror-inducing, tense thriller from Erik Henry Vick.

Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I think I've ever read that seems to show the inside-track of daemonic culture power play from an almost corporate way. This is played alongside real world action and a great, creepy vibe from the town and titular Hag. I also really liked how the book jumped between times (narratively) and people from the past appear and become mainstays in the future, a great bit of foreshadowing here.

With so many characters, both human and monsterous, it'd be easy for a narrator to take the easy-route and go with a vanilla voicetrack but here Kerr has thrown down the proverbial gauntlet and voices each one impeccably. Be it a Daemon or a human, each character has not only an independent voice but a real sense of personality which really brought the book to life.

Thoroughly enjoyable and we'll worth your time, heck I finished it in a day as it was so gripping.

Love this story

I read Demon King last year as I was in a hospital bed and it made my stay fly by, this book continued that level of enjoyment. The way it all comes together in the end was a pleasant surprise. Erik Henry Vick is a master of horror,I do not want to give spoilers, but I promise you will not be disappointed in this choice. I cannot wait to start the next leg of the journey.

Starts right off where the first book ended. I would suggest to new readers to read the books in order.
I kinda had a difficult time following the first book with all the jumping back n forth in time, but towards the end, it became easier and this second book is really awesome! Erik has a great imagination and keeps you interested from the start! I was never aware of him til I got my Kindle and was browsing titles and book covers, but this is an author I will be following from now on!!

The Hag

I enjoyed this story almost as much as the first one. I do give this 4 and a half stars. There are still plenty of shock factors, oh no moments and surprises. There were times I couldn't read fast enough to see what was happening next. Some of the main characters are going to need blood transfusions due to all the bloody noses, winks! Got the third story already downloaded. Thanks Author for a very good read!

audible:This was a really good horror novel! The characters were well written, even down to creepy Mason. Horrible things have happened every so many years on a lake in upper New York. In 1986 the horrific murders lead to a child coming back as an adult to fight again. Narration by Kerr Lordygan was terrific. was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book continues where 'Demon King' stops. The pursuit of demons continues while the demons continue their dastardly deeds. Erik weaves the past events with the present so you understand why things occur so they make sense. The characters become more well-defined. The roller coaster action will keep you riveted. You will definitely want to read 'Our Lady Chaos' to see what happens next. A really good read.

I don't think I'll see the day where I give any of his work less than 5 stars. I simply love everything he writes. (That I've read so far. Five books, at this point.) And the fact that he writes these amazing stories while combatting such a serious physical condition only makes me admire him more & appreciate his work more.

Getting better with each book!

I've never read anything from the author until now. From the first book I was hooked. The books are well written with believable characters! I never spoil the read for others so I'll end this with a suggestion. Buy the series, that way you can just keep reading to see what happens next!!

This is a very good and original series. The shifting of time lines is done very well and keeps the story flowing. I can't wait to start the next one!

What an absolutely amazing continuation of this saga.
This time around the hunters are becoming the hunted.
Amazing world building again in this one.
Loving the characters so much and they are fleshed out so well.
The plot and story line are just amazing.
The whole story is just so gripping and just grabs you from the very first page.
Can't wait to read more!!

This time we travel between 1986 and the current year 2007. Herlequin is dead, yet some unseen force is luring boys into the woods again. A new serial killer is on the loose. The gang continues to search for answers as to why Oneka Falls has such a large congregation of demons and what's the best way to kill them. Brigitta has been in mourning, while Chaz and LaBouche fight for power. Who will win? Where has Brigitta been? What happens when she comes back? Who is the new serial killer and how is he linked to the story? Who is this new mysterious leader of the demons? If you like demons, dark mystery and terror this book is for you! The storyline is fast-paced and easy to follow. The characters are vast but well-developed. Definitely a good read for a dark, stormy night!

If you like Horror, this set will fill your weekend.

Wrecker: Horror is far from my preferred genre. That said, this is a well-crafted horror story that can be read in less than a day. PG13

Black Swan: This well-written PG15 gruesome tale is best understood if one has read the previous episodes, but could be read by itself in about eight hours.

Another exciting page turner from Erik. Really enjoyable and kept me up late on more than one occasion.

As before, the writing is great, and the story moves along and is developed well. There is plenty of action and character development, and this one has some truly horrifying scenes.

Highly recommended.

Another outstanding book!

This was an excellent sequel to Demon King, and continues to expand on the characters, developing their powers as well as their team. Looking forward to the next book in the series Our Lady Chaos!

Evil had to die

I don't want any of the good characters to die, but, the evil has to die, I'm so tired of stories where the evil prevails, there is absolutely no redeemable qualities for these evil beings to ever win! Love these books!

Could not put this book down.

Mr. Vick has a vivid imagination. The hero's as well as the villains are interesting. Erik Vick does a wonderful job of explaining the story. The Hag kept me on the edge of my seat.

Another great read by Henry Vick

This is the second book in the series. It is even better than the first. Again I just started reading it and with all great books in at the end already. I'm now going to start the 3rd book maybe I can make it last a little longer. Maybe
