Trying to put ones thoughts down is not easy. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading Suzanne and her work you need to. She doesn’t just give you a story she gives you an experience, a visual and everything you didn’t know was possible when opening up to her words.

I was on pins and needles waiting for this story. Julian had me from the moment I read Castle Scarlet. The tortured recluse who hid himself away, only emerging when required. Having Braeanna Walsh arrive on his doorstep was the final push this man needed or so I thought. In pushing her away he was closing himself off to something that could have been spectacular. The whole vibe of the story and our two leads reminded me of Beauty and the Beast. A modern take of the fairy tale in my head.

We are six months in from where the story left us previously. Watching these two watch each other was painful. The want and need was so obvious. These two needed each other. More than they realised.

Julian’s come to Jesus moment literally had me teary. His words “I’m afraid” struck a cord. His vulnerability in that moment made him human. He wasn’t the Scarlet Master in that second he was a man admitting his fear.

Rae comes across as someone with their life together. But delving deeper you begin to understand her. Her constant activity, is like a shield. Keeping busy gives her a link to her childhood and to the loneliness she tries to hide. It started with losing her mother at a young age. Being raised in a male dominated family. Three older brothers and a Dad who was clueless, grieving the loss of a mother and a wife. They did the best they could. But nothing makes up for a mother’s loss in a little girls life.

The slow burn was fitting to their story. It made sense to their story. I didn’t want a wham bam story. The courtship and yes that’s how I felt was swoon worthy.

https://media0.giphy.com/media/26BRED...

Braeanna’s misgivings and her take on the BDSM lifestyle is just one hurdle that Julian needs to take. But take it on he does. His first lesson in submission was so erotic in not just watching the scene but in the way he spoke. Watching Rae open herself to the lifestyle was an awakening all on its own. Her trust in Julian in that moment was the turning point.

These two and the journey will be bumpy, but with the secondary characters pushing when needed is the bonus. The love that surrounds them from family and friends is a whole other story in the making.

Catching up with Roman and Kelly was an added bonus. Learning Kelly’s concerns and Romans response? Swooning!!!

Add in the interwoven characters from two other books and you’ve got a triple bonus. The continuity with these stories and getting them lined up to coincide is not something I’ve found another author take on. And she does it effortlessly.

I think so many authors tend to rush into the BDSM lifestyle they don’t take the time to explain the true meaning to what it entails. And for me Suzanne takes you on the journey. The attention to detail is phenomenal. The true meaning of a relationship between a Dominant and Submissive and the symbolism for me makes it special. To have that trust in someone that they are one hundred percent devoted to you is the romance. Sure the sexy times are an added bonus but the trust does it for me.

A must read for lovers of romance. I can’t rate this story enough.

I surrender!!!

Never have I ever been so moved by the delight that is Bishop Surrenders.  Suzanne Halliday packs a wallop of a love story that rings so many bells and whistles.  As far-fetched as it may seem, Rae and Julian make a very witty, sensual and endearing couple. I was overcome with so much admiration for the choreography of the story in how it was told.  The arrangement of the string of events were so well orchestrated. This page turner had me cheering Julian and Rae on like a pom pom girl. Every single detail into the world of eroticism was outlined so beautifully and tenderly. You are taken on a journey of eroticism with a strong dose of  TRUST, LOVE, and UNDERSTANDING. Powerfully written - could not put it down. I cannot wait for the next triple delight crossover story through Family Justice, Wilde Women and The House of Bishop! This story rocked my passionate heart into a million stars.

What a spectacular addition to the House of Bishop saga!! We first met Julian and Rae in Castle Scarlet and, honestly, I didn’t hold out too much hope for them because of their differences - there were many. But, boy howdy, was I wrong!! As a couple they simply click. Each is willing to change, sacrifice, experiment, work on weaknesses, have open minds and hearts, be vulnerable and available, and because of those intentional surrenders they find love, passion, and a deep abiding friendship. Their story has romance, laughter, tears, passion, sadness and joy - the full gambit of emotions - and is told in such a way that you feel as if you’re right there with them throughout it all. Bishop Surrenders is a story that immediately draws you in. It’s peppered with hilarious and witty banter from the most likable and unique characters you’ll ever meet and will carry you through to the most glorious happily ever after! I highly recommend this book

Wonderfully woven tapestry a really deep love.

The long awaited story of Julian and Rae set the bar so high you almost need a space suit to read it.
Suzanne Halliday can spin a superlative story and has surpassed her usual excellence as a tale spinner.
Her treatment of the delicate subject matter is masterful (tongue-in-cheek pun intended).
An entirely new cast of characters leaves me hoping for another spin-off series.
I can't wait for what's next. I know she won't disappoint...

5 stars for Bishop Surrenders by Suzanne Halliday

This book does not disappoint. Thank you for listening to your readers about wanting Julian's story. Wanted more. This was totally hot and sexy and funny. Can't wait for the next instalment of Family Justice along with a mixture of House of Bishop. The anticipation for this book was much the same as Deception and it did not disappoint.

I’ve been waiting for Julian’s book and Ms Halliday didn’t disappoint. Rae and Julian’s story was beautiful and them waiting for the marriage to consummate their union was romantic. I love the way Ms Halliday always intertwines her stories and ties together her worlds. Yet another reason why love reading her stories.

Sinful Acceptance!!!

It's six months after where CASTLE SCARLET left off. Julian Bishop and Brianna "Rae" Walsh had been dancing around each other for months. And their push and pull dance was sending everyone around them crazy.

They missed each other like crazy, he pushed her away for her own good. What neither one of them realized was that they were what one another needed. He closed himself off from live because he got his heart broken and she was lonely. On the outside she looked liked she had everything under control but on the inside she was a mess.

Rae lost her mother at a young age and for a girl that wasn't easy, she grew up in a world surrounded by men. Her father was too lost in his grieve to see that his children especially her needed a mother's influance in her life.

To see and hear from where Julian was coming from was well done. I loved how Rae fully trusted him and the way he carefully and lovingly showed her his world just blew my mind. Having their family and friends rooting for them was beautiful.

It was a treat to catch up with Roman and Kelly. Seeing those two work through every issues they are faced with together is wonderful. Their relationship keeps growing stronger.

BISHOP SURRENDERS is the fourth book in Suzanne Halliday's HOUSE OF BISHOP series. Wow...I have no words to describe how much I enjoyed this book. Suzanna Halliday did an amazing job. Two thumbs up!

We all wear masks on any given day, in any given situation, to protect ourselves from the world at large, only showing those we truly trust to see behind that mask. Bishop Surrenders is so much more than a story about a virgin and a Master Dominant. It's a tale about love and trust, knowing when you have both and then letting them see behind the mask. Julian hides a long ago hurt, compounded with a breach of trust, behind the guise of a dominant. Rae was raised around men and doesn't really know what the feminine side of love looks like. Everything Julian projects just makes Rae run in the other direction, no matter what she feels for him. Julian's heartbreak when he finally asks Rae on a proper date is palpable. I wanted to weep for him. But when these two finally come together, with a little help from Gerri, it's such a poignant moment. Julian understands Rae on levels she didn't think possible. Watching their love develop and flourish was magical. Of course, in quintessential Suzanne Halliday fashion, we also get peeks at Roman and Kelly, Liam and Rhiann, and even Rae's Uncle Sam and Julian's Sargeant at Arms, Gerri, as love abounds. A bona fides page turner, Bishop Surrenders will have you laughing, crying and smacking your forehead in exasperation at this cast of characters.

OMG so good!

It felt like the wait for this story took forever, but it was so worth it. The chances of Rae and Julian ever getting together were impossible. The turns and twist of their journey kept me from doing anything but read non-stop. This book is crammed full of laughter, snark, tenderness and tears. Carve yourself some quiet time and dig in for a wild and beautiful time. Hold out for love.

Awesome! Thank you Suzanne for another fabulous story. Including Kelly and Roman's showed the closeness of Roman and Julian. Also the bonding of Breanna and Kelly.

Introducing Brea's family almost ensures another branch on the Justice/House of Bishop Tree. Looking forward to Breanna meeting the Justice ladies.

Oh my this book was worth the wait and more! Jullian and Rae are compelling, funny, loving and throw in a little ocd. We learn more of their lives and get insight into why they are the way they are. Their story unfolds one step at a time with laughter and surprises along the way! House of Bishop is expanding and I hope to see more of them all in the future!

I normally really like this author's long books. With the Family Justice books they make sense, there are a lot of people in the series to keep up with, but with this book we just had 2 groups and a great majority of the book centered around Julian and Rae. I don't really like Julian very much, so such a long book with a character I don't like was a lot to read. I felt like a lot could have been pared down and we still have the story. For most of the book I Julian needed to get his head out of his ass, he was the biggest problem in his life. Did he have reasons for his issues, yes, but a grown man needs to deal with them, not throw a tantrum and them stick you head in the sand and ignore them.

I liked that Rae challenged Julian at every turn. Even when they started to "try" to be a couple Rae still challenged Julian. I liked how Julian softened after dating Rae, this is a guy I wanted to read about. While Julian's actions at the end were high handed, it fit for both of them.

I really liked the little we got to see with Roman, Kelly and Matty. Kelly and Rae had so much in common, so it was nice that they bonded. Matty as always was a breath of fresh air. I loved his excitement about meeting Julian and later how he chastened Julian and Roman when they deserved it. There's nothing like getting told off by a 5 year old.

Words escape me on what to say about this story. I discovered Suzanne's book by accident and boy am I glad I did. I have never been disappointed by any of them. If you have not read her books you need to,they are amazing. You get drawn in from the first word and feel like you are right there living the story. You can't help but fall in love with all her characters. That is exactly what happened to me with Julian & Rae, love them together. This is the continuation of the story of their back & forth game of hiding their true feelings for each other. Finally taking a chance on each other as Rae is opened up to his world at the Castle Scarlet. I was on pins & needles waiting to see if Julian could open up himself fully to be with Rae, who he is meant to be with. They are so perfect for each other as in my opinion, one compliments the other. It was nice to see a bit of Roman & Kelly in here & be able to catch up with them. Like I said before, if you have not read any of Suzanne's books, you have no idea what you are missing. They are amazing!!!!! You have once again outdone yourself & can't wait for more of some of my most favorite characters of all time.

I have so many wonderful feelings about Bishop Surrenders. It is utterly amazing! Suzanne Halliday wrote a beautiful completion to the story of Julian Bishop and Braeanna Walsh that began with the book Castle Scarlet. Julian's Master Dominant persona has met his match, and then some, with ball-busting virgin Braeanna "Rae" (NEVER Brie) Walsh. She is a taker of no crap and brings forth his true self. He has doubted that a love like theirs was in the cards for him for so long that he fights his pull to her until he just can't any longer. She challenges him in ways he never dreamed. She is also doubtful, and somewhat fearful, of what his dominant nature and lifestyle could mean for her. The way he shows her that a D/s relationship is a truly beautiful form of trust is outstanding. The entire story is amazing and the ending...let's just say I was blown away and cried all the happy tears.

Suzanne is the ultimate storyteller and this book is yet more proof of her amazing way with words.

The Master Dominant and the Virgin!! who holds all the power?? This takes us back to Castle Scarlet and the budding Love/Hate relationship of Julian and Rae 😍😍
Rae - You hear the word Dominant and all you think of is an overbearing bully who wants to use and abuse you Sexually and boss you around!! that's why i won't let Julian in although i think he's my Forever!!
Julian - now that i understand her misconception of BDSM i'm going to make it my lifes mission to show her the beauty of Submitting to me, that is if i dont Submit to her first!!

And we cant Forget the other Bishops (or soon to be) we catch up with Roman, Kelly & Matty as they prepare to host Christmas for the Family and their preparations for their own wedding

Absolutely breathtaking storytelling from the Wonderful Miss Halliday!! She has beautifully woven so many threads together to bring us not on Julian & Rae's HEA but never leaves out any of the others that we know and Love!!

Bishop Surrenders is the follow up to Castle Scarlet that we have all been waiting for. What do you get when you pair up a lonely, stubborn dom with a take no crap business manager? You get a fabulous love story developing between two people meant to be. The interaction between Rae and Julian is delightful. Their sarcastic whit makes the story worth reading all by itself. Suzanne Halliday dug deep and crafted a magical story about two people finding themselves and falling in love. The road to happily after after is better than you could have imagined. As with all of Suzanne Halliday’s story telling works of art, family is a large part of the story. Reading about the incorporation of characters into families leaves the reader with a warm fuzzy spot. I can’t wait to see what happens in the House of Bishop. Whatever it is will lead to a glorious wild ride!

Epic Epic Epic

I so wish I could give this more than 5 stars.
We catch up with Rae and Julian 6 months after the "I'm a virgin" episode and Julian running away like a baby.
This is an epic love story about trust first and foremost, then learning that all is not as it seems and then getting your head out of your butt and realising there is a life out there.
Both Rae and Julian have their issues but once they get started on working through them it turns this Love story into a heartwarming beautiful story.
You will laugh cry bang ya head against a wall at the pair of them and the go omfg I want that.
The learning curve they both go through is beautiful to read about and the love they have for each other is emotional and again truly beautiful.
Suzanne Halliday hit this into the atmosphere.
Frigging beautiful, I wish has a Julian.

I’m a huge fan of this series and all the characters and have been following Ms Halliday’s books for a long time. The fact that they all interconnect is awesome. So Altho these guys the Bishop’s are set away from Bendover they still connect. It’s like visiting a favourite family every time I read one of her books. I adored Braenna and Julian. Their dynamic was volatile but oh so much fun. It was sad to realise how they got to that point in their relationship but ultimately with the help of family and friends it was an amazing love story. My heart literally hurt at times reading this book. You can’t help but fall in love with the ‘Bishop’ men either. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. It was compelling reading. Now I cannot wait for the next ‘Justice’ book.

Hugs...it's one of the great things that makes the world go round!

From the start to the end, I was a goner with this book. I cried, I cheered, and I laughed out loud so many times I know folks thought I had for sure gone off the deep end. As always Suzanne gave us her 110% in the writing of Bishop Surrenders.

The courtship and love of Rae and Julian is so sweet, kind and special. It will melt you in so many ways. The way the two handle each other is a hoot and their cheering section is all in for them to make it work. Life is good for them and I love it!

I recommend this highly. Take your time (it is a long one) and enjoy the journey!

I just finished reading Bishop Surrenders and I was freakin' blown away. As usual with Suzanne Halliday's books I giggle-snorted through much of it due to her hysterical and snarky dialogue however there were so many other emotions that it evoked. I'm not ashamed to admit that I also cried a few times along the way as Julian and Rae learned that trust is the only thing that matters. Catching up with Roman and Kelly's journey was just the icing on a very delicious cake with Matty as the cherry on top. I can't wait to see what happens next in the House of Bishop saga.

Wow!!! This book is just wow! I couldn't put the book down! The stories and complex characters suck you until the very end. This is one of those books that you will find yourself thinking about days and weeks after finishing it. Rae and Julian are as complex as the day is long. Kelley and Roman are as snarky and awesome as ever. And of course all of their friends and family made me laugh and want to know more about all of them. Clear out a few days (it's a long book) and read this fantastic story!!

Another great book by Suzanne. I loved Julian and Rae and how they sparred with each other. It was an emotional ride. Julian’s broken soul, and Rae’s broken heart. I loved how she stood up to Julian’s grumpiness and crap in the beginning. It was great to see them finally grow closer, and my word, Julian, my new favorite ❤️. He was wonderful taking care of Rae and to see his “surrender”. Omg this book. I think this is my favorite one. A must read. You have hit it out of the park! Well done Ms. Halliday

Julian & Rae's story was everything Is hoped for and more. The journey to love for them was so real. It was uncomfortable, heart wrenching, hilarious mind blowing along the way. I truly love how Julian & Rae each surrendered a key part of themselves in order to create a relationship that is uniquely them. It's not your usual Master/virgin storyline - it's one fit just for Julian & Rae. Their journey together shows how when you acknowledge the past & how it's shaped you it can set you up for an amazing transformation into something more...something truly beautiful & freeing!

Love conquers all

Love always has a way of finding you when you least expect it. Julian and Rae showed that if you just open your mind and heart the best is yet to come. They both have things from their past that shaped who they had become. How they struggle to overcome those obstacles and find each other is amazing. As always, Suzanne Halliday has told an amazing story of how love conquers all.

But, their story would not be rushed, both had to take the time to discover their feelings about themselves, life and each other. It was so worth the wait! Well worth the wait

What a great story with a happy ending to two seeming mismatched people. Love how the author explained the more than sex aspects of submission to a Dom. Good comedy mixed in with romance and intimate moments. Good read. Got caught up in one spot till midnight. Hard to put down.
