Best dailly devotional I've seen so far and I've been through a ton of them. Some are too cheesey, some are just a bible verse. This one really makes me think.

For the third year in a row, I've read a daily devotional by Chris Tiegreen. Last year and the year before, I read The One Year God with Us Devotional: 365 Daily Bible Readings to Empower Your Faith, which was a Christmas gift. "Walk With God" was every bit as good as that one.
These two formats include, along with the daily reading, a scripture reference and a relevant quote from (usually) some person of faith we'd recognize. Tiegreen writes with some authority, having been a missionary, pastor, church planter, journalist and ghost writer. But the writing indicates humility along with spiritual authority.
When I read the devotion each day, I'm challenged because the author identifies with the frailties we all have in our walk with God. Sometimes I forget that Tiegreen is trying to point us to God's wisdom, but it's the whole point of the book. When I went back to review, many of the pages with my highlighting in red were also ones I'd noted in the front cover as pages to re-read. That's a practice I started with My Utmost for His Highest years ago.
Tiegreen uses simple language and doesn't talk down to readers. I can see myself in the examples he gives. But as with the other book I've read by him, while he isn't harsh, he certainly doesn't let me off the hook. As I said, I was challenged many times to seek God's wisdom, not my own. And while the Holy Bible's book of Proverbs is one of the wisdom books quoted therein, it isn't the only book of the Bible which is quoted. The Scripture index in the back includes New Testament references as well as many Old Testament references. (Tiegreen also includes a topical index.)
I'll be returning to this particular daily devotional in the future. In 2018, however, I've already planned to walk 365 days with Tiegreen's Hearing His Voice Devotional.

A great resource for everyday reminder of the eternal truth
I've read the devotional throughout the year with my wife. We found it very useful to start the day in order to keep our minds clear and focused on the God's truth.

Amazing book!
Chris Tiegreen is a gifted and anointed writer. This book is filled with encouragrment and helped me throughout 2021 with timely messages and insights. Wonderful!

One of the best one year devotionals I have read.

Since this is a daily devotional, it's taken me over a year to finish (yes, I miss some days) - but what can I say about its impact? Those of you who follow my Facebook page will have seen a great many quotes from Chris Tiegreen, the author. I highly recommend it anyone seeking a daily devotional. It also fit in with my theme last year of "be still and know that I am God."

This was my letter...

Thank you for the company in my prayer time especially while driving. Particularly when Sir David reads excerpts from "Walk with God," this sets me on a refreshed, inspired perspective in facing the day since last year. So thankful for getting to be reminded of God's glory, authority, love, mercy and everything I cannot articulate enough.
Hence the need for this book. Thankful again, this time for the opportunity to acquire a copy. It would be nice to get a free one. But if I'm not one of the first five, do expect a call or message from me to inquire about purchasing a copy.

Progression of topics in the book is good. Was an interesting devotional format compared to my regular Daily Guideposts process that is more random. Not sure I would have done it if it was not on sale in the $5 pile last Christmas season at my local Christian store, and going through one has not changed my mind on that. It was a pleasant experience but one devotional is also just fine.

This is an excellent daily devotional! It is simple, yet so profound. I have grown so much through the excellent insight. This year, I started something new. I read this devotional with a coworker. We have developed a very close friendship as a result, and enjoyed a higher level of accountability. I will continue this habit into 2020!

This devotional is eye-opening. The author's goal is to help transform the mind, as indicated in scripture. His devotions definitely make you think about how you live and how your actions reflect God's purposes.

I want to like this, I really do but so many of his narratives seem so far off base for me. He talks so much like he knows the world so well but I guess maybe he knows a different world than I do. I feel as if he has no clue about the world...

Used this as my daily meditation/lesson for the year. In general, it gave me a chance to read the Bible every day, and just the right length to keep me interested. I didn't always agree with the author's interpretation of certain passages, but that's ok. It got me to think.

This is a great way to start the day, with the word if God. This book focuses on bringing the reader bits of knowledge to meditate on to enhance your walk with God. There is a focus scripture for the day, as well, as additional scriptures on the daily topic.

The daily readings are short but I wish the scripture readings would have been of a more consistent length. Some were long chapters from Psalms while others were only 2-3 verses from the New Testament. A good way to start my day in God’s Word.

One of the most impactful devotionals I've read in a long time. Uplifting, convicting, challenging, and comforting. Highly recommended.
