Ellen Robson has fallen in love. But she's in trouble. Big trouble. Because Ellen's a married woman and she's lost her heart to another man. And to make matters worse, that other man is homeless and destitute. On a night out with friends, she stops in the rain and gives the desperate young man some money. One casual brush of their fingers ignites something in Ellen that she's powerless to control. They don't exchange a word, but from that moment on, he's all she can think about. Trying to heed the advice of her best friend to put him out of her mind, she's lost forever when fate unexpectedly throws them together again. As Ellen tries to move on with her life, hiding her torturous secret, dark cracks start to appear in her seemingly perfect marriage. As well as questioning everything she believes in, she now starts to suspect that her husband may not be the loyal and trustworthy man she thought he was. As Ellen's life starts to spiral dangerously out of control, the events that follow unleash a runaway train that no one can stop and the obsession that follows threatens to shatter her world forever. Guardian - the first book in the Angel Series is a story of seemingly impossible love that overcomes the darkest of challenges in order to triumph.
Really....love at first sight? Who would've believed such a thing was possible? Read this book and you will wallow in the magic of that first look, that first kiss and you will come to realise that, when that bolt of lightening strikes, you can only hope and pray that the author realises there is no way that these two people who are destined to be together can possibly be kept apart. You hope that she finds a way to make it work for them. You feel it, you really do - and you suddenly believe in fate. This is no ordinary love and the circumstances of the two of them finding one another and then having life throw a whole lot of trouble their way, means that their journey is fraught with tension and you wonder - can it really work for them? I loved the characters and the splashes of humour throughout the book., but I also loved the edge of your seat drama. The ending left me wanting more and I'm looking forward to see the next chapter in Ellen and Justin's journey.
