This is good actually! And I say actually because sometimes it’s hit or miss, for me at least, with Piper Stone. This book had an Alpha hero, a badass heroine and when I say badass I mean badass. Harper kicks serious ass and doesn’t take shit. Piper Stone has a way of writing chemistry that I really like.
Downsides: I could see how this would drag on. I personally didn’t mind.
This book is essentially the equivalent of a USA show on crime and I love it!

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

Harper is a former FBI agent who now works as a bounty hunter. She was after Brax (Stone) and ends up catching him in Washington state. When there is no room at the local jail, she must keep him in her cabin because of a snowstorm. They have a history but what will happen when he is able to escape? Fast-paced read with intense chemistry, lots of drama and steam. I loved it!

What a ride! This romance is packed full of action and adventure with two strong-willed people on the run from the people they once trusted.
Picture this... a fearless, badass female bounty hunter and a six-and-a-half-foot tall, dangerous former DEA agent who has nothing to lose. They have history in the form of a one-night stand, and it's a battle of wills as they fight for their lives. Rules be damned.
Harper Rollins is one bad bitch who will stop at nothing to get her bounty. As she tracks down the lethal Brax "Stone" Marks she is in for a bumpy ride. Her one-night stand with him years ago showed another side to this man as he was shipping out as a Marine. Now he is a man with nowhere to go. A man with no one to trust. A dangerous man who will kill to survive. Can Harper find it in herself to bring him in knowing he will most likely be killed for the damning evidence he has on some high-end officials? Or will her belief in the man he once was convince her to fight for his life no matter the cost to hers?
Stone has given up. Running has gotten him nowhere. His years of dangerous undercover work were blown up in an instant when he was accused of killing two federal agents. Someone wants him dead, but first, they want the evidence he has to blow the assholes away. Everyone was dead and Stone was the wild card. It's like a game of Russian roulette and now he has Harper to think about. He will do anything to protect her...even turn himself in.
This story blew me away. The whole broken man thing gets me every time and Stone is so conflicted and alone. Harper is his one lifeline because she knew the man he was before he fell down the rabbit hole of violence and pretending. The tension between them is palpable from the first time she tasers him in the seedy bar to every hot steamy challenging moment in between. Harper is tough and magnificent as she holds her own with the big brawny Stone. I chuckled when she took Mr. Cocky down more than once. Stone may have dominated her in the bedroom, but she showed her cunning and skills in other ways. It was her determination and bravery to prove his innocence that impressed me. She is fearless and one of my favorite female characters in a long time.
This is what romantic suspense should be. The action is extremely exciting and I love how the author keeps one guessing who to trust. The characters are bold, daring, and sexy. I've added Ms. Stone to my favorite authors list. You should too.

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. Piper Stone is a gifted author and a master at writing dark romance stories that are dark and twisted and this is no exception. This is my 3rd or 4th book by her but I think this one is my favorites, ok maybe they all are. Harper, the lead female and bad ass bounty hunter does not step down from a challenge, she took a high paying job knowing the fugitive was ex-military and law enforcement, basically well trained. But the pay will be so worth it, she lined up everything ahead of time to make sure her mission goes smoothly. Brax Marks aka Stone jumped bail because he knows he is innocent and is being framed, he just does not know by who, he has his suspicions though. He could not turn to anyone for help because he thinks the corruption goes deep, not just in the ranks of the DEA, whom he was working deep undercover for, but even higher. He has history with Harper and when she captures him he goes with her willingly. But he winds up getting the upper hand, until she gains it back again. Harper has not only street smarts but as former FBI she has experience with working investigations. And when things start to happen that do not add up it raises a flag and she starts to listen and believe Stone. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is well plotted with plenty of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments and some hot romance with a side of kink. Piper Stone, thank you for another awesome story!
I listened to the Audible edition, Richard Reynolds is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, humanizing them with their emotions and personality, as well as heart and attitude. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Who is the Bounty and what is the price to be paid
What happens when the hunter becomes the prey? That is what Harper Rollins finds out in Bounty. She is a an ex FBI agent who turned bounty hunter. Her prey is Brax Marks, AKA Stone, and she is on the hunt for him in upstate Washington. It seems Brax has been a very and deadly bad boy with a large bounty on his head. He is an undercover DEA agent who infiltrated the Red Devil's MC but apparently turned rogue and has shot two other agents. He was arrested and bailed but he has jumped it.
When Harper locates her bounty she does take him down. But before she can turn him in something happens and now they are both being hunted as they are fugitives in the eyes of the law. They both know they have been set-up and they must now work together to find out who did it and then take them down. The fun twist in this is that these two have a history of one very white hot night together. Will their remember each other? Will they be able to get out of this alive? If they do will their passion reignite for each other again.
This story was well written and had an interesting and exciting story-line. There was mystery, suspense, intrigue, drama, violence and a lot of twists and turns. The characters are also nicely developed and you can feel the chemistry they have together while you are reading. You also have to be prepared for darkness, domination, power exchange and non consensual sex. So if you are not okay with those themes then you will want to pass this one by. But overall this was an exciting book.

Wow! What a powerful, impactful story. And I kept thinking all the way through, 'You go girl!' Because Harper is now a Bounty Hunter. That's the only job she's able to get after all the years of training she's done. Her assignment? A man who on the run and goes by Stone. The payout if she brings him in? $50,000. Yep, you read that right, $50,000. Stone was an undercover DEA agent until all hell broke loose and they arrested him for killing two other agents. The story itself took so many twists and turns with mysteries and questions popping up and just about the time you thought things had been figured out, something else came along that left you with another question. The best part? Years ago these two had met at a bar. Stone had just come out of the Marines and Harper had just taken her test for the FBI. They had one incredible night and had never seen or talked to each other again. Will they recognize each other? Will it interfere with Harper's assignment? And if she catches him, will he stay or will he run again. This is a true thriller with all the twists and turns that will absolutely keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved it!

These two are so complicated.
Harper Rollins was a bounty hunter and she was after a man called Stone. They had history but that didnt matter he was a cold blooded killer and he deserved everything that was coming to him. But he wasn't going to make this easy for Harper. But Harper knew how to protect herself well everything but her heart.
The chemistry between them could light up a football stadium with the electric currant running thought them. But as they have to settle in to a cabin after there plane crashed. can these two start to really communicate and get to the bottom of what happened and find out the real truth?? Could they survive together???
There are so many twists and turns in this book. But what a great read. The passion is off the charts and the heart to hearts made my heart melt and left me with a warm fuzzy feeling.

When on bail he escapes and Boundy Hunter Harper Rollins attempts to return him to justice. That is when the story begins to get very interesting. A new author for me and a great read. I love fast paced, complicated reads that take you out of your every day life and keep you turning pages. Harper is a an ex FBI agent turned bounty hunter. She’s hunting Brax - aka Stone. Brad is supposedly a real bad guy with a large bounty. He’s an undercover DEA agent who infiltrated the Red Devils MC but apparently turned rogue and has shot two other agents. He was arrested - bailed and took off. When Harper locates him she nabs him but before she can turn him in something happens and now they are both being hunted as if they are fugitives by the law. They both know they have been set up. Terrific read.

Enjoyed but.....
Sometimes our reception of a book depends on whats challenging in our on lives. For most part I really enjoyed the story but the telling of it, I was often distracted. I didn't actually read the entire book. I jumped over a lot. I rated it 4****. Mostly because it gave me something I needed at rough time. I paraphrased this from the book: Think of grief as a great beast. You an never get rid of it but you learn to contain it, but not always. You simply need to recognize that fear/grief won't destroy your life unless you allow it. I don't know if the author came up with this or borrowed it like I did, but thanks. It gave me peace my soul was looking for

I love the storyline of this book – a military, government spy on the run but did he turn? In steps the bounty hunter who is not sure if she believes him or not. The story starts off with nail-biting action leading the characters to be stuck in the wilderness but then it moves at a snail’s pace but picks up again towards the end of the book. While I love the story it was a bit repetitive for me. I did love the power exchange and the intensity of their relationship. I admit the perpetrator was a bit of a shock but that is what I like in stories.

This is a romantic suspense story with lots of action, intrigue and steam. The story is very well written and comes with two incredible characters that are both tough, smart and resourceful, but also in more than a bit of trouble. Separately, they will both fail, but together they have a chance. Can they let the past go and work together? An excellent story that kept my attention throughout.

The way the book began was really interesting and captured my attention. At some point, when Stone and Harper reached the cabin, it slowed down. The pace immediately picked up right as they decided to leave the cabin.
As I read further, I forgot the book was a dark romance. It was full of action, mystery, intrigue and suspense. My mind was racing trying to keep up with the plot and figure out the end game at the same time.
I had suspicions, but as the twists and turns presented themselves, I wasn't as close to the answer as I thought. A good romantic suspense that was engaging from almost start to finish.

This was a very good read. I thought that the story and characters were interesting. Things get very intense, twisted, dark and steamy between Harper and Stone. The clash of wills between these two strong characters was quite epic and the heat they generated was simply blistering!! A entertaining combination of action, drama, excitement, emotion, suspense and BDSM combined with a pair of intriguing characters creates a book that is hot enough to melt your reader and delicious enough to make sure you just don't care if it does. This is my frank, freely posted review.

What a great read by a great author! Harper is a bounty hunter and Stone is the man she has to bring in! I don’t want to reveal the plot line as I feel it’s best to read it not knowing but if you love a heroine who’s more than capable and the main male character who is a lot more than he seems, mob, cartels and twists and turns galore then this is definitely the book for you, I’d definitely recommend this book.

Really enjoyed this one! Harper and Stone were great together and their chemistry was off the charts with some seriously hot and intense steamy scenes! They were both strong and well developed characters.
The storyline was full of suspense and mystery with twists I did not see coming! And lots of action that will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat.
This was of my favorites read from this author and I can’t wait to read more.

Holy wow.
Piper knows how to write a book that will have you panting and turning the air up.
With some writers, i am worried that the darkness will over shadow the light and love. But her books always have the perfect balance in my opinion.
That applies to Stone and Harpers story of course.
He started out as the hunter and her the hunter.
At some point, the rolse reversed and neither had a real problem with it.
I would highly recommend this book.

Piper knows how to write a book that will have you panting and turning the air up.
With some writers, i am worried that the darkness will over shadow the light and love. But her books always have the perfect balance in my opinion.
That applies to Stone and Harpers story of course.
He started out as the hunter and her the hunter.
At some point, the rolse reversed and neither had a real problem with it.
I would highly recommend this book.

A thoroughly satisfying read.
WOW !! Piper has totally nailed it yet again! The writing is excellent, as always, with an interesting storyline, great wellrounded characters that virtually jump off the page as you read. I could have happily continued reading their story for a lot longer but I ran out of her written word so had to use my imagination! All in all this was a thoroughly satisfying read in every way.

Oh Wow...Piper brings the action and suspense in from the start and wow I’m hooked into this story from the first page....
Harper is on the hunt for her prey, but when she finds him, He does not go quietly....
I quite enjoyed the dynamics between Harper and Brax (Stone) and the suspenseful twists in the storyline was enough to keep the pages turning and the steamy scenes were off the charts hot....for me this is a 5 star read.

This is one hot story. I give it a 10+! Piper has one of the most fertile minds I’ve ever read. The bounty hunter thought that capturing the bad guy only had been easy, but the hunter only to get caught in his evil web. The book good turns bad and bad turns almost good. This book has elements of sexual punishment. If you have triggers I would not recommend this book.

Fantastic, fast-moving story of Harper, a bounty hunter, and her bounty, Stone. The story unfolds, and you find out more about their connections, histories, and motivations-to say anything about the plot would spoil it. I was immersed in their story, with an underlying sense of danger-but from who? There's cartels, mobs, alphabet agencies, a kicka$$ heroine and her broken but not defeated honourable man. Ms Stone is a new-to-me author, and I’ll be reading more of her work soon.

To complicate matters, they have a history and they both struggle to get the upper hand over the other. Things aren’t doing up, too many coincidences point toward betrayal.

I loved this wonderful fast hot story. It's sexy and intrigueing and very well wrtten and described. Harper's belief in her mission brings the reader on a wild ride. There are plenty of hot spicy sexy scenes and some spankings. I love this author and her writing. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and I very highly recommend it. This is an entertaining and very enjoyable story.

I always know I'm going to get a good story when I pick up a book written by Piper Stone. And again, she proves me right. A complicated storyline that take so many twists and turns, that it might give you a sore neck! LOL Harper is a bounty hunter and her target is Brax. When things go wrong for Brax, he becomes a wanted man, but he's not about to go quietly. This was an intense book and I loved every bit of it!! Go get this book!!!

When Harper was fired from the FBI she became a bounty hunter, this latest case was a big one and she needed it, it was to bring in dirty agent Brax Marks under cover name Stone the man she had dreamed of after that one night and now she was going to take him down. The whole way through this it never lost the excitement or momentum, hooked from the start, more please
