A wonderful read from Cathy Bramley that I've been waiting for with baited breath since reading the prequel 'Rescue Me'.
It was lovely to link up with The Lemon Tree Cafe and old friends like Maria and Stanley, whilst meeting new characters, Fearne, Freddie and Scamp.
I loved Freddie's take on life - go big or go home - and his attitude to doing what makes you happy.
Cathy always writes inspiring and uplifting stories, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next in Fearne's adventure.

Following on from Rescue Me, a short story I read last month, we continue Fearne's story as she tries to move on from the grief of her brothers death.

I really enjoyed this first part, and I'm so excited to see some familiar faces. I am loving this village that Cathy has created. If only I could live there myself!!

The 1st part of Cathy Bramley's new series does exactly what it should do; hooks you in and leaves you wanting more.

Fearne's lost and alone since the death of her brother. At a crossroads in her life as to how she should continue, she makes a life-changing decision and along with an inherited and faithful dog, sets out to find her happiness.

Beautiful characters, wonderful settings, both old and revisited, this was like a dose of sunshine on a dismal day. You can't help but smile!

Easy reading. Lovely story. No sex, violence, bad language. Just, all in all, a nice, uncomplicated story. Always enjoy her books when I just want a nice, relaxing read.
