It’s been many years since the Purge that wiped out the Guardians, leaving their Havens in ashes and ruin.
In the years that followed, Oddities were hunted down and killed by the new galactic power, the Leaguers. Those that survived buried their gifts and hide among the masses.
Larkon’s world was flipped on its head when Konnon came into his life.
Now, six months later, Larkon is failing to train Konnon to become a Guardian. When another Guardian is held hostage on a hostile planet, Larkon may just find that the years he learning to survive may not be wasted after all.
With the resurgence of familiar faces, Larkon finds himself confronting choices he wishes he’d never made as he comes to realize they don’t just effect him.
P.D. Atkerson is a homeschooled writer, living in Montana, who may or may not be a secret agent. She spends almost as much time in the worlds she creates as she does the real one. When she’s not reporting the stories of her agents, she’s learning different languages, or traveling to different worlds through the portals of books. She has a black belt in sarcasm and a master’s degree in useless facts.
Gaaaahhhhh, not faaaaaair!!! How can it end that way?!? I need the next book, like yesterday! Also, there are a lot of past things left hanging, and I need so much more!!! No, I'm not positive that I fully followed along with everything, but I don't care. I must have more... <\3
If Larkon and Konnon don't get a happy ending I honestly don't know what I will do. I absolutely adore their relationship! That cliffhanger wasn't okay at all but the sweet father son moments throughout the novel may excuse it. Garoon revealed a lot of things that explained Larkon's character more and I'm so curious as to where this story is going. It really feels like reading an episode of a Star Wars show which makes it so much fun.
