I've Become A Killer...
A Dead Man Walking...
And she's the only one who can bring me back to life!

Jake...

Broken. Scarred. I’m a monster. Every night I live for the kill. The ultimate fight. And she’s the angel who rescues me night after night.

My wolf wants to claim her. But she deserves better than me. I should have stayed away.

But now, the black dragon twins are on to us and want their pound of flesh and blood. And If I don’t pay up... they’ll tear her apart.

Her life for mine is a small price to pay. I’ll gladly die for the one who showed me who I really am and brought me back from the dead.

But if they’ve hurt her, I’m going to take them down. Make them wish they’d never lived.

No one touches my mate, not even a dragon!

Jess...

I knew who he was the moment I saw him. I’d heard the stories and the legend. I knew the risk.

He’s strong. Dangerous too. Carved from perfection. The scars make him all the more beautiful to me. The ultimate fighter. A god in the ring.

I came here to save my own pack but didn’t expect to be drawn to him. To have to make a choice. His wolf or my own.

But he’s hell bent on getting himself killed just to protect me. With the brothers who own us on the move, it won’t be long before they destroy him. And then take out my entire family.

It’s up to me now to save them all. I just hope I’m strong and fast enough to kill a black dragon. Before it’s too late!

A nurse searching for her brother finds her wounded mate instead.. 4.5 stars!

I really enjoyed this shifter novella! Jake is a fighter who's paying off a debt he doesn't remember to two dragons who own him. He lives for the fight, for the blood and pain he deals out and is the best in the ring. Jess is a EMT who escaped her pack in order to find her brother. Instead she finds Jake, who was once her brother's best friend and her childhood crush, except he has no idea who he was or who she is. The biggest setback for me was the grammar/spelling mistakes, but overall the story and characters were enjoyable, and I was actually surprised by the few twists! I really loved the chemistry between Jake and Jess, definitely recommend ♡

Undefeated shifter cage fighter, Jake “Raging Wolf” Archer is trapped in a cycle of violence. He has no memory of his life before he stepped into the Lexington brothers’ fighting ring, the Pit. His nights are full of blood and pain as he fights his opponents to the death. But something within Jake has changed, he isn’t healing as fast as a healthy werewolf should. The Lexington brothers have brought in a medic, Jess, to care for him and Jake is yearning to touch her and have a life beyond the violence but all that work for the Lexingtons are their property. Jake’s growing attraction to Jess is forbidden.

Jess Hunter is desperately searching for her missing brother, Dylan, who was forced to fight in the Pit and never returned. Her family and pack are shattered with both the loss of Dylan and the death of her father within the Pit. Jess has disobeyed her Alpha to investigate the last known location of her missing family members, the Pit. She is working undercover as a Pit medic to patch up their star fighter, Jake. The way Jake moves distracts her from her purpose, but she hopes that perhaps, this caged wolf holds the keys to solve her family’s mystery.

The narrative of Raging Moon alternates between Jake and Jess in first person present tense so you always know what either person is feeling at a given moment. I appreciated that Jess was actively doing things throughout the entire book as she investigated her brother’s disappearance. I disliked that there was more telling rather than showing on some of the more profound breakthroughs. But the main female acting intelligent and assertive in her desires despite being a submissive omega is always good.

There was a parade of different shifters, but we only really understand the wolf shifter dynamics. The dragon shifters, Eric and Xavier Lexington are the main antagonists here since they own everyone’s debts and control this society. It wasn’t made clear WHY the different packs had to offer up their members for the fights, just that if you were sent to the Pit that you disappeared or died.

I am assuming that Jake was in the Pits for 7 years but aside from being a fierce fighter, hot and totally in love with Jess, we don’t have much motive for his interactions with Jess. She’s hot and he wants to make her happy. He doesn’t have much agency since he has resigned himself to the fact that the Lexingtons own him and can do whatever they want with him. His only understanding of his relationship to the Lexingtons is that he owes them a ton of money and 10 million would easily clear his debt to them. We don’t get an impression of what the debt is for or why it is so stupidly high. But he’s fighting to pay it off at $25,000 a fight which seem to be weekly… for 7 years. Maybe Romanian dragon shifters charge higher interest rates than mobsters?

But I digress. This book delivers on all the promises made in the official synopsis.

“…dark, paranormal romance filled with suspense to keep you on the edge, because who doesn’t enjoy a forbidden, fated-mates romance story with a sizzling, happy ever after.”
Hot people getting involved with each other.
Dark. - Talking human (shifter) trafficking; forced servitude; forcing people to fight to the death for the amusement of the crowd; a whisper of a threat of sexual violence (there in no non-consensual though).
Forbidden. - Jake isn’t allowed to get involved with women that work for the twins and Eric wants to bone Jess too.
Happy ending with no cheating - Yup.

I found “Raging Moon” engaging and easy to read but it’s sweet fluff. There is some substance but it’s not a heavy read so great for a pick me up.

Great start to a new series! Jake is a cage fighting champion and a shifter. He fights to pay off the debt he owes to the dragon, twins who own the club. Jess is searching for her brother and that search leads her to the club and Jake. She knows who Jake but he isn’t the person he once was. Will they make it out alive? This is a fast-paced shifter read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Jake and Jess are great characters with amazing chemistry and their story draws you in from beginning to end. I can’t wait for more. I loved it!

Jake is a wolf shifter & cage fighter. He fights in the Pit, where shifters are there to fight to pay back debt owed to the dragon brothers who own & run the Pit. He's been entranced by the doctor, Jess, since she was hired. Jess is an Omega & just happens to be from the same pack where Jake used to be Beta under the Alpha who was Jess's father. Both of them disappeared at the same time, and Jake no longer remembers his past prior to the cage fights. She's there trying to locate her brother who disappeared after a fight in the cage & hasn't been seen since. Jess has wanted Jake for as long as she can remember. He thinks that there is something familiar about her, but he can't figure out how he knows her. They eventually give in to their desires for each other. She has been trying to puzzle out why Jake isn't healing as fast as he should after his fights, and she finally figures it out. He needs to claim a mate or he'll lose himself completely to his wolf. With help of the twin's older sister and one of the twins, each with their own agenda, they work to save her brother & take down the fighting ring.

The only thing I thought was missing in this story was a bit of the back story of Jess's dad & Jake going missing. It is in the story, but I thought it could have been expanded upon. It by no means distracts from the story. The characters are all individuals with their own personalities. The plot is wonderful & has great world building. The story does have violence in it--cage fighting, a physical attack against Jess, and an attempted rape--so if any of these are an offense to you, I don't recommend picking this up. The scenes of Jake & Jess are steamy. There's an unexpected twist towards the end which makes you look forward to book 2. The story has a HEA & the unexpected twist is a cliffhanger.

Raging Moon is the first book the Broken Bad Boy Shifter series. The author introduces a world where shifters enter the cage to fight, often to the death, in order to pay off their debts. Jake is the undefeated cage fighting champion. He fights in hopes that someday he'll pay off the huge debt he owes the dragons that run the club. The biggest problem is that he doesn't even remember accumulating the debt or anything about his past. Jess is searching for her missing brother. Her search leads he directly to the cage matches and Jake. She decides to go undercover to try to find information. That's when she finds Jake and their undeniable attraction to each other ignites.

I enjoyed this story and even found myself engaged in the mystery of who is the bad guy. I was rooting for Jake to regain his memory. I was rooting for Jess to find her brother. The author didn't tie up this story with a pretty bow because it's the beginning of the series and you something to connect into the next couple of stories. There were a couple of weak spots but I'm hoping that the author loops back around and brings those to a close in subsequent books.

I would recommend this book to anyone that likes contemporary shifter stories with an instant love story and a little cage fighting mixed in. The writing is pretty good and the story is easy to read. I think it would be an excellent weekend read if you are just looking for something fun to read.

Love Sacrifices and Triumphs

Jess, a wolf shifter, is hiding in plain sight. She left her pack where her father was once the alpha seeking her missing brother, Dylan Hunter, who became a challenger in pit fight run by the Dragon Twins. Zac is now the new alpha for the pack, and he wants her to come home, but she is not interested—not in him or in returning home. She has work to do. While still only a medical student, Jess has falsely represented herself to apply for the position as a doctor at the fighting pit of the Dragon Twins, Eric and Xavier who control that territory—the bars, the clubs and the people.

One of her tasks as the medic at the fighting pit is to tend the wounds of the Twins’ fighters, Jake, a wolf shifter and the reigning champion of the pit. Both wolf shifters are drawn to each other; Jake, a lone wolf, doesn’t know why she seems so familiar--Jess knows, but isn’t telling. Jake’s memory has been altered and he has little recollection of who he is or how he came to be a part of the Dragon Twin’s world. Jess needs to help Jake remember—her brother’s life may depend on it.

Lea Jade’s paranormal romance, Raging Moon: A Broken Bad Boy Shifter Romance, pull’s the reader into the shifter world, leading us to a place of love and sacrifice in conflict with powers that demean and control through money and power. But ultimately, we are left with satisfaction—the story of Jake and Jess is one of bonding and hope, and we are offered the satisfaction of the possibility of additional adventures for the pack!

SWEET DECADENT PERFECTION!!!
Deep, dark and intense! Lea not only brought the house down, she razed the entire town, leaving nothing but rubble in her wake. One non-stop, action packed, hard hitting, page flipping bombshell that keeps you riveted on a razors edge. Sparks fly as intrigue, danger and suspense ensues in epic proportions. Throw in distress and turmoil and you have the recipe for one block busting, prize winning dynamo. A spinning vortex of vexing circumstances and a bevy of daunting events thrusts this bad boy to life beautifully. Ramping all the swirling emotions into play with every color on the spectrum bouncing this bad boy right on home. Combating the trials and tribulations along with a multitude of plot twists and turns that leave you breathless craving more. The characters personalities are authentic, genuine and realistic with depth and qualities that transform and blend smoothly. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive its paints a fantastic backdrop. Remarkable job Lea, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.

Seriously where do I start? This book has Wolf shifters, bear shifters, dragon shifters and even vampires! There’s a secret underground death fight club called The Pit where Jake is the undefeated champion. He’s a wolf shifter who has no memories of his life before The Pit. He doesn’t even know his last name. Recently his healing powers have been failing and he’s had to resort to taking human medicine.

Jess is her packs omega, she’s also searching for her brother. She knows Jake from what seems a lifetime ago, he’s changed so much. Can she trust him with her secrets and the memory of who he once was? The wolf in her wants him to claim her but can she take that chance? Will he be able to help her find her brother?

Raging Moon has to be book one in a series. There is too much left open for it to be complete. I loved all the characters and can’t wait to see where they go next. This was a quick read so perfect if you have a couple hours to fill.

I received a free copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

Captivating is the word for this book !! I couldn’t put it down and I’m so ready for the next book. Jake and Jess were amazing characters and how Lea made their characters grow throughout the book was great. Loved the whole story, background as well as the now and possible future. Jake being park of an underground paranormal fight ring (no past memory) and Jess being the ‘doctor’ to stitch and clean them up afterwards but she has an ulterior motive for being there. Dark shifters ~ violence ~ romance ~ suspense ~ twists. Highly recommend reading !!

I received this as an ARC book for my honest and voluntary review.

This is my first time in reading this author with this one being a good start to what is first one in a series. You can never encounter too many yummy bad boys with in this one he is something more. I also do delight in reading when the one is a fighter as Jake is. Getting to even get to for a minute maybe put pieces back together when you meet that someone you had lost is riveting but then when bad comes to destroy oh my! It does seem to go hand in hand. Too bad the dragons are the bad guys though haha. You are kept captive with the danger and suspense that it just eats us up with the characters doing the eating. Great beginning looking forward to the next one.

Loved it! I've volunteered to review this book for the author. This is my first time reading one of Lea Jade books. This is the first book in the Broken Bad Boy Shifter series. Jess, a wolf shifter, is hiding in plain sight. Jake is a wolf shifter & cage fighter. Jess has wanted Jake for as long as she can remember. I love how it alternates between Jake and Jess in chapters. Nice writing, interesting characters and situations, good plot development. Through twists and turns the mystery brings them together. It's a great start to the series. The story was a quick read, short, but intense. Highly recommend reading!! I can't wait to read more from this author. Keep up the great job.

I found this to be an intense gritty read with almost a dark feel. It was filled with action that kept me engrossed and intrigued. The characters were well developed with personalities that kept me reading and wanting to know more about them. Jake and Jess has off the charts chemistry and the author makes sure that it comes across. The whole book from beginning to end is extremely well written and definitely entertaining.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

I’m really liking this new shifter romance. Jake is a real badass and a pit fighter. He fights other shifters and is undefeated. Jess is the medic for the fighters, if they survive the fight. She is trying to find her brother who was last seen fighting. But her wolf seems to be more interested in Jake and his wolf. The story has a lot of little secrets that most likely will be slowly revealed in the following books. There is plenty of tension and steam between the two main characters. Add in some pretty major plot twists and you never know what will happen.

A shifter romance with all kinds of Drama

Jess is undercover at a fighting ring trying to find out what happened to her brother. Jake is a wolf shifter in the fighting ring who has no memory of who he really is. Jess recognized him as her high school crush as her packs beat who dissapeared with her dad years ago. It was believed that Jake and her dad had been killed years ago. Can Jake and Jess work together to find her brother and can they keep their attraction at bay? I highly recommend this book.

The author has brought us characters we can care about. Jake has no memories of his life before he became a fighter in The Pit. Jess remembers him from when he was Beta of her pack. She goes undercover, trying to find her brother and finds Jake. They try to get answers while also trying to stay alive. I can't wait for this series to continue.
