Ever since Jagger Locke was jailed for a crime he didn’t commit, he’s been ghosting through life. He can’t shake his anger for having been set up, nor the guilt he feels for not being there when his brothers in the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club needed him most. And then he runs into the beautiful and untouchable professor he took a class from in prison—a woman who just might offer his path to redemption.
When Miranda Everly has a car accident, she thinks her day can’t get any worse. But it does, in ways she never would’ve expected. The only saving grace is the mysterious and hot-as-hell man who offers to help—a man who’d once been her student and an inmate. Jagger is everything she’s not supposed to want, but no one’s ever made her hotter.
As forbidden sparks fly, Jagger and Miranda can’t resist getting in deep—but an enemy is closing in fast, putting them on a collision course that will threaten everything they hold dear.

Super quick, super sweet, super-hot. I read this story as part of the Love, Loyalty & Mayhem anthology. I don’t know if it was ever published as a standalone, but I don’t think it was. As far as I can tell, it’s also the last book that has been written in this series. I’m holding out hope there will be more.
While I wouldn’t say this story ended on a cliffhanger, there is definitely more to be discovered. Andi ends up in Slider’s auto body shop when she skids off the road and ends up in a ditch while trying to avoid a puppy in middle of the street. Jagger happens to be there that day and it turns out they know each other. Andi teaches classes to inmates and Jagger had taken one of her classes while in prison before he was exonerated. They end up spending the day together since Andi is without a vehicle and Jagger wants to help. It’s a fun who’s who of the Raven Riders MC as they run into several members and/or significant others of members. Yet it doesn’t feel padded or overwhelming.
These two are really sweet together. They have a natural comfort with each other and don’t hide their attraction. There seems to be some danger to Andi that is not figured out by the end of the story, which is why I’m hoping for more books. (Plus, I just love this series.) So while I didn’t feel there was any unresolved issues when it came to the couple, there is so much more that can be delved into.
As a brief intro into the world of the Raven Riders for those who haven’t read any of these stories yet, I think it’s perfect. The romantic chemistry between Jagger and Andi and the familial chemistry between Jagger and the Raven Riders is spot on and would most likely have made me curious to read more if I wasn’t already so in love with these characters.
I realized I have read this before in an anthology. The story sets up the romance well as the main characters met before the action of the story; however, a mystery is introduced and not solved.
While the story was okay, it was too short for my liking. Everything happened really fast and it felt rushed. It also ended way too openly, as not all questions were answered. I would have liked a longer novel that tied everything up, unless the author is planning to write more books for this series.
To be honest, I am quite shocked that Phoenix doesn't have his own book.
If this is the last book in the series, then the ending was quite disappointing.
Series: Raven Riders #4.5 Rating: 4 stars - It was really good
This is a very quick story but I still enjoyed it. Jagger has been struggling since his release from prison until Andi stepped back into his life. Jagger and Andi were super sweet and sexy. I liked them both instantly. Their story is an instant-lust one but I can see the potential for a HEA. My biggest issue is that we don’t get a conclusion on who is targeting Andi.
Trigger Warnings: Jagger was falsely imprisoned; car accident; animal neglect;
A very quick read but I really enjoyed RIDE DEEP because Kaye knows how to write no matter how short. I loved both Jagger and Andi, they were sweet together and definitely sexy. I hope there will be more to this story because I'm dying to know who's targeted Andi. It might be insta-lust and a HFN but I'm left with no doubts about Jagger and Andi's growing feelings.
