A welcome return by this author to her Talon pack series featuring her fiercely loving Werewolves. This book sees so much changing and it's hard to review without giving away too much. Parker is in a unique position due to his somewhat complicated heritage and although he doesn't realise it his role is pivotal if his pack are to survive . The Humans now know about the Werewolves and yep you can imagine how divided and fearful many are. As this story starts Parker comes home but his heart, the very thing that hold him together is fading fast and Parker knows without finding his Mate that he is very likely to die.
Ok that sounds a wee bit melodramatic perhaps but the magic that surrounds the packs is failing and it's getting impossible for any Wolf to sense their Mate. Brandon as Omega is the one most aware of the depth of the changes happening around them. Seeing Parker return brings back feelings he neither wants nor thinks he needs but it really is time to confront their past and move forward and here is were Avery steps in. Avery knows her father is responsible for terrible things and truly wants to make amends in any way she can. Unfortunately she wasn't quite prepared enough and at this point in the book everything shifts as the author brings us a triad that's passionate and quite possibly doomed!
The bulk of this story is really about the trust and loyalties of the Packs as they are tested in the most painful ways. Old prophecies become an intrinsic part of this book as the pace gathers for a truly harrowing battle with tragic consequences . I've barely touched the romance and that is because I'm more than a little disappointed. Avery just wasn't a heroine that I liked. She's up for anything and never seemed that bothered by all the changes in her life. I think I would have preferred a M/M ( which isn't my preferred type of romance) story although freely admit the intimate scenes worked very well as all three explored just how their relationship could function happily.
This book in many ways ends a certain arc but the Packs still have enemies out there so I'm not expecting them to rest on their laurels too long. I'm curious about new characters we meet here and wonder how the next book will play out but for now there's hope amongst the ashes as the Talon Pack remember their dead and count their blessings .
This is a voluntary review of a copy generously provided for me and my thoughts on it are my own honest opinion

Oh WOW! This is a phenomenal story to read. Fractured Silence is the fifth book in the Talon Pack series. I must say this is a electrifying, exhilarating, sexual, action fill, and very entertaining. Of if you have read any of Carrie Ann Ryan's books then you know the tension is throughout the whole story. Carrie has an awesome talent for creating believable, likable, infuriating and enthralling characters. Her stories are weave with magical words that pulls the reader into the story where her characters will have you blushing, laughing, crying and screaming at different times though out the story! OMG! Avery, Brandon and Parker makes a triad, Carrie gives this ménage so much emotional excitement with lots of sexual energy. There are a few twists in this story that I didn't see coming. Plus the turns of events for the triad as well as the other wolf packs are exciting and fantastic. I felt my heart clench at the thought of them having to go through this path to get to their happiness. You may need a box of Kleenex as we are being prepared to say goodbye to these beloved characters. I actually enjoyed and loved reading this story!!! It's really well written with phenomenal characters. But Carrie Ann has pulled a fast one on me, from the beginning this characteristic had me mystified until the very end. But Carrie Ann has decided to change things up a bit, this is a completely surprise because usually shifters know immediately who their mate is, this usually done by their sense of smell, but now that's changed the mating urge that all the wolves sense when they are in their potential mates present is no longer there. This makes things little complicated but it just adds more spice to things. This makes Parker and Brandon fight their attraction to each other as they need their third to complete their triad. I wanted them to find her no matter how the odds were stacked against them. There will be a grand finale I'm sure but Carrie has been getting us ready as she writes the other books in the series. These characters have incredible depth and explosive passion. All of the characters promises this will be a phenomenal series with each book even more thrilling and captivating than the next! This book can be read as stand-alone, but for better understanding I recommend you to read the books in order. Grab this book and Hang on this it's so thrilling! The ride is more than worth it!!! I voluntarily reviewed this book. Because I like sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers.

Carrie Ann Ryan brings us the stunning wrap up to the current story arc in the Talon Pack. Hold on for a ride because what you think may happen just may take a giant twist! She brings us all the emotion and high charged action and of course some steamy s3xy times that are all wrapped up in the protection of this Pack.

I am in love with this series because, to me, it's one big epilogue. We get to jump to the future and see all of those cute Redwood babies grown up and taking action. This one has Parker in it. He was adopted by the Redwoods when his mother mated with one of their own. He is the voice of the Packs and a skilled mediator.

Things have been off in the Packs for awhile. The traditional urge to find ones mate has been fuzzy at best. For Parker, Brandon and Avery, they almost miss it if it weren't for the willingness to take a chance. This author has the wolf menage down pat. This triad is stronger together and everyone in the Pack knows it.

Absolutely wrecked me as the story wraps up. So typical of life but yet, as a reader, just taking in all the emotional turmoil this Pack and their families endure is almost too much.

You'll want to read these books in order. Not necessary to read the fist series but the characters will be more meaningful to you if you do.

Carrie Ann Ryan’s FRACTURED SILENCE, is an amazing addition to the Talon Pack Series. Parker Jamenson is the son of three Packs and part of a prophecy; Brandon Brentwood is the Talon Pack Omega, and Avery Montag is the daughter of a traitor. The triad needs each other in more ways than one. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences.

Parker, Brandon, and Avery are likeable characters. Parker was goddess-touched and became the voice of the wolves. He is from the line of the first hunter. He is dying and needs to find his mate. Brandon has been struggling with being Omega and is also in need of a mate. Avery is a noble character. She is nothing like her father. She is a good person that wants to make up for her father’s treachery. She is brave and nurturing. She goes through a lot of changes in this story and handles it with grace. The three characters have wonderful chemistry and complement each other well. They are stronger and better together.

Once again, Carrie Ann Ryan does an amazing job with her plot. McMaster continues to be an interesting threat. He is a deceptive opponent that should not be underestimated. The prophecy was well integrated into the novel. There are some tragedies that the packs face that made my heart break for the characters. FRACTURED SILENCE is full of details and surprises. The story is skillfully written and hard to put down. I love this series and cannot wait for Carrie Ann Ryan’s next book, DESTINY DISGRACED. ARC REVIEW

I have been waiting patiently for Parker's story. Oh my goodness! While this is the conculsion of the story arc that has been continuing throughout the books so far it is not the ending of the series...YAY!

Parker has been away from home for far too long he's missed out on so much he's the voice of the shifters and he's been playing mediator with the other packs trying to gain their favor but also because of an ancient curse that was put on his bloodline and is slowly killing him. Now that he is home he wants to avoid spreading the illness to his siblings so he requests to stay with the Talons. Brandon (it always weirds me out when the main character shares a name with one of my siblings) is the Omega of the Talon pack and like all Omega's he needs to find his mate or else risk dying from the overwhelming pressure of the pack. Avery is trying to right the wrongs her father did, she wants to prove to the world that shifters are not the evil creatures her father and several politicians are painting them to be. As a photojournalist she wants to capture the shifters as they are caring and loving people.

Brandon and Parker end up having to share a house and while they feel an attraction to each other they don't want to waste time one anyone who is not their mate, but the appearance of Avery has kicked their protectiveness into overdrive and just maybe the three of them are a triad. One thing is for sure only together can they figure out what is going one and fix what it is that is broken.

Overall, Outstanding! I really love this series and the whole shifter universe Carrie Ann Ryan created.

This was an awesome book. I didn't see the ending coming. I love this series and can't wait to read the next book. There has been many twists and turns in this world from the Redwoods to the Talon Pack.

Brandon is the Talon Omega, Avery is the daughter of a traitor and Parker is the Voice of the Wolves. They are mates in a troubling time. Each have an internal troubles and must come together in order to help their pack. A new evil steps to the front line and could destroy them all if they don't find a way to fulfill a prophesy.

Highly recommend this series and author.

Parker, thanks to the moon goddess, is the Voice of the Wolves, meaning he's traveled to various packs for years to speak with their Alphas. However, on his current trip, the elders have something for Parker, not a gift so much as a family heirloom, so to speak. A family Parker has only recently learned the true history of, and not only does it contain something he doesn't want from his family's past, but it also impacts his present and future. When he returns home, as much as he longs to, he know he can't stay because something is wrong with him, and instead arranges to live with the Talons.

"He wasn't sure he'd be enough." - Parker

Brandon, the Talon's Omega and younger brother to the Alpha, Gideon, doesn't want a roommate. He has his own issues to deal with right now, shouldering everyone's emotions and struggling with the impact they have on him, knowing if he doesn't find his mate soon, he won't be able to retain his sanity. Which Parker also has an effect on, though Brandon doesn't sense they're mates. When he and Parker are called to verify a visitor's intentions, they never expected her to identify herself as she did.

"Maybe his Omega bonds were truly on the verge of making him insane if this was how he reacted to a mere taunt." - Brandon

Avery, a photojournalist, has two things against her. First, her humanity. Second, and the one more detrimental to achieving her goal of assistance, is her parentage, more specifically her father though they hadn't spoken in Ten years, the general, the man responsible for attacks and experiments on the wolves. After Avery shares her reason for coming, she's sent on her way, an answer to soon be given. However, shortly upon Brandon and Parker leaving her, she's attacked.

"She was just a woman who needed to atone for the sins of her father." - Avery

Brandon and Parker sense something is wrong almost instantly after leaving Avery and that belief is proven when they find her, obviously gravely injured. Both know there's only one way to save her, and that though Avery may not want the life that was given to her without a choice, they need her to survive this.

As Avery adjusts to her new reality, with Brandon and Parker never far from her side, it isn't long before these three realize more changes are in store for them as their connection and chemistry seems to be leading them toward forming a triad. However, many obstacles stand in their way first.

Will both Brandon and Parker recover from whatever is making them ill? What secret is Avery keeping? When it's revealed, how will those closest to her react? Are Brandon, Parker, and Avery destined to be? Will the packs defeat the next threat interfering with their lives and freedom? Will everyone survive the coming war? Will Brandon, Parker, and Avery get their HEA? It seems as if Mitchell will be next...what pain is he trying to hide? Will his mate ever shake the taint of her past?

One-click now and follow along as three people, all struggling in their own ways, discover a love that will make them whole. Please keep in mind this is book five in the series and I highly recommend reading the titles in order.

Action-packed storyline & unforgettable characters who drag you into their tale of fated mates. Each book in this awesome series is linked by an overall background storyline which flows through each one with the finale being revealed in the last book. These stories should be read in order so that the reader can gain the best knowledge of the Talon pack history. Parker, the voice of the packs, is dying. Without a mate he won’t survive much longer. Brandon, one of the Talon triplets, has his own secrets. When Avery is injured outside of pack land, the only way to save her is to force a change. This second triad bond will lead to quite a revelation when the magical wards surrounding the Talon and Redwood territory begin to crumble. Another exciting story. I love this series.

Fractured Silence takes us into a new future for the wolves but oh the birthing pains! Carrie Ann Ryan knows how to get you to feel for the characters in her worlds then makes you bleed right along with them. In Fractured Silence the author gives us three broken characters and brings them together for healing and love and the future of the wolves as a whole is riding on them. I read this story in one sitting, well except for the one time I had to put my tablet down and howl NOoooo with the rest of the wolves. Get sucked in and get ready for the future with this terrific story.

Audible.

This is my first book by Carrie Ann Ryan and first time listening to Gregory Salinas. I was little nervous coming into the middle of a series, but I jumped at the chance to enter a giveaway for a new MMF book and was super excited to win. This will NOT be my last Ryan book and I'll definitely look out for Salinas as a narrator in the future.

This book stood on it's own fine, but I think I definitely would have enjoyed it more if I'd listened to the rest of the series. There were a LOT of people to keep straight, but Ryan provided enough info that I wasn't lost but still intrigued enough to go back and listen to their stories. Which I will be starting soon because the intro novella is in Audible Escape & the first 3 books can be purchased in a box set for a single credit!

FYI ~ This *is* MMF. So there are scenes between individual pairs as well as all 3 together. I liked that there were several sex scenes but it wasn't the only element in the relationship/bond between Parker, Brandon, & Avery nor did it overshadow the story as a whole.

I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

"Fractured Silence" by Carrie Ann Ryan. Book 5 in the Talon Pack series.

I liked this book about Parker, Avery and Brandon. Ms. Ryan is certainly known for her triad relationships in this series and others of her series as well.

In this book, Parker is the Voice of the Wolves. He's been travelling all over the world to unite all the wolf packs to get ready to defend each other when the Packs' locations are no longer hidden from humans that want to hurt them. When Parker comes home cursed, and only his family line is at risk, he goes to the Talon Pack where he meets Brandon, the wolf whose life he saved. While he's there, he also meets Avery, the daughter of Montag, the man responsible for torturing wolf shifters. There's no question in Parker's mind that Avery AND Brandon are his mates. And even though his curse is killing him, he doesn't want to pressure them into a mating just to save his life.

Brandon is the Omega of the Talon Pack and he feels all the emotions of everyone in the pack. He knows taking a mate will help him control his powers but he never thought he'd end up with two mates! Parker and Avery are everything he could ever want but sharing his powers with them could also end up hurting them.

Avery is human and the daughter of the wolf shifters enemy. She wants to make up for what her father did to them. She wants to help fight in the war against the humans that are attacking them. The last thing she expected was to develop feelings for two men...um...wolves. Due to circumstances beyond her control, she's thrust into their world head first. She knows she's Brandon and Parker's mate but is she strong enough for a mating with two Alpha wolves?

So that's the basic love story between Parker, Avery and Brandon. The growth of their relationship and their feelings towards each other was really well done. The overall story line in this book was very good as well. A lot happens in this book at the end, ending the main story arc throughout the books and closing off the McMaster story line. The ongoing books in this series will see a lot of changing happening within the Talon Pack/Redwood Pack world. New packs are introduced and old ones make an appearance once more. Overall, I really liked the story line in this book and an intrigued to see where the story will go next.

The only issue I have with these triad romances is that the romance part of it are all kind of the same. Each overall story is very different but the actual "relationship" between the three romantic characters kind of sounds the same in each book. First off, it's always a m/f/m combination and within each triad, each duo has a special relationship. In this book, the combinations are Avery/Parker, Avery/Brandon and Parker/Brandon and then all three of them together. As much as I enjoyed the relationship growth between all three of them, it was very predictable. Especially their intimate love scenes. You really know which combination of the characters are going to have sex each time. Brandon leaves to do something and Avery and Parker are left home alone...gee...wonder what they're gonna do?...type situations happen a lot in this book. And sometimes, at least for me, it's almost a little too lovey-dovey between them all. There really wasn't any relationship angst between them. It's more like "Oh! We're all mates? Great! How do we make this work?" and then everybody is happy. LOL!

Other than that, I liked this book. It was a good way to end the story arc and I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens to the world of the Talon Pack!

The best out of the five books from the Talon Pack series. Parker Jameson the son of three packs, the Centrals, Redwoods and Talons also the sole mediator between every Pack in the United States and Europe and he is hiding a secret from his family and Pack. Parker is dying and the only way to save himself is to find his mate.
Brandon Brentwood is the Omega of the Talon Pack, the youngest of the Brentwood siblings and one of the Famed Brentwood Triplets. He is also hiding the fact that he is also dying.
Avery Montag knows she’s the daughter of a traitor and doesn’t have much to give the wolves in the way of atonement. When Avery is attacked by a rogue wolf to save her life she is brought into the Talon Pack and turned into a wolf. But Avery is also hiding a secret, she gets visions of the future.
When the three come together will they be able to save each other and the future of the Packs?
This was a great way to end this Story Arc.
Avery Montag was a strong likeable character and I loved how calm she was during everything and how caring she was for the people and wolves. Parker and Brandon, squeee!
The end of story not only through me for a loop but made me sad! I fell in love with Carrie Ann Ryan with her Redwoods Pack Series and when she continued with the Talons it just got better and better.

Another great shifter story

This is book 5 million n the series. I would encourage you to read them from the beginning so you know the characters and the events happening. Very well written and you will struggle to find time to finish each story. I couldn't put the series down.
Overview. Brandon is the Omega of the Talon pack. He help with the physical and emotional parts of the pack. But he is getting weaker without a mate. Parker is the redwoods pack political helper. He has been visiting all the packs all over warning them about the shifter haters and about coming out to the world. But Parker is getting weaker since the family curse is taking over and he hasn't found his mate. When he comes home he decided to stay with the Talons vs his family the Redwoods. But Parker and Brandon have to live together and both fight the attraction. But when Avery a human comes to visit the pack and offer help, she gets bitten by a rogue wolf and is now going to be a wolf of the Talon pack. Even more is that Avery is Brandon and Parkersburg Mate. She can help the whole pack if she mates them.

I've really enjoyed this series so far and this book was no exception. Characters were compelling and the action always exciting. The steamy scenes were also of course wonderful. I only gave it four stars for two reasons. One, and this is something I felt with the other books but decided to note this time was that there's a quickness with the stories that on the one hand I appreciate because I can read them fast but on the other hand feels like I'm missing a bit of plot development perhaps. It's not a huge thing, but it's something I've been thinking about. The other piece for me was that sometimes I struggled to buy into the world, specifically the supernatural part of the world. Usually about the time I'm really doubting, the author comes in and says something that helps explain what I've been concerned about but it's always there at the edge of my consciousness as I'm reading. One thing that isn't a knock against the series but just something that irritates me in general probably because of the way the world is right now, but the one-dimensional focus of the villains, the primary villains, grates on me and I hate their chapters.

How is it that every single time I read a Carrie Ann Ryan novel that I think "this one is now my new favorite"? This author just keeps cranking out hit after hit and Fractured Silence was no exception. Fractured Silence was an amazing and sizzling hot menage story. Well, this one is just as sexy, exciting and series changing. It also gutted me something terrible but oh what an ending. Carrie Ann Ryan proved once again just why she is among the absolute best in the paranormal romance genre. She tore up my emotions with a couple of gut wrenching paragraphs and all I can say is thanks for a job well done. Overall, a great read. I think you need to read the previous books to get a good grasp of the family dynamics, since there are so many characters from prior books making cameos in this one. I would recommend this series to others!

The narrator (Gregory Salinas) is excellent with a full range of voices that bring the characters alive and contributes to the overall experience of the story.

This was a fantastic read! I absolutely loved the characters and getting to go back into the world of the Talons. We get to see a resolution unveiling of shifter issue that they have been dealing with in this book along with a few surprises. I loved getting to know Parker, Avery, and Brandon better. They are all well written characters that I was rooting for from the beginning of the book. I loved how they built their relationship and didn't push each other into anything. They definitely took the time that they could and that they needed to get to know each other and build up their relationship. The sex is explicit and m/m/f. All partners are involved with each other. I loved the balance in this book. We get plenty that moves the story forward, along with action, intrigue and the relationship. I'm very excited to see where we go next.

Parker's Story is Amazing!

Fractured Silence by Carrie Ann Ryan is book 5 of her Talon Pack series. This is Parker's story and wow what a story it is. Carrie Ann has taken one of the favorite characters from both her Redwood and Talon pack series and written an amazing story. All the favorite characters from both series are in this book. If you love keeping up with all the characters this book is for you. It will have you on the edge of your seat, laughing, excited, angry and sad all within a few pages. It's a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I'm so excited to read more of the series now.

can they fix the fractures?

Brandon needs a mate. Parker needs a mate. Brandon and Parker are attracted to each other, but their wolves don’t say anything. Avery knows she is risking her life coming to the Talon den. A rogue wolf attacks Avery and she has to be turned to save her life. Brandon and Parker are attracted to Avery. Avery is attracted to them both. Brandon thinks the mating bond has changed. Should they risk trying to see if they can get the human bond to connect? Will they find away to survive the war coming? Come on in and find out. Make sure to have a box of Kleenex near by.

This is quite the exciting story! I wondered how Avery would be with the packs because of you know....her dad. She sure showed strength walking up to their barriers. There is drama, jealousy and another force of evil comes to the front in this story. Of course there is a beautiful triad born among all the chaos.

I love how the mating bond has changed because of what has happened in the pack previously. That shows nice growth and change throughout the story.

I listened to this on audio. Gregory Salinas does a wonderful job narrating this series for Carrie Ann Ryan.

Fractured Silence, the fifth book of the Talon Pack series, is a stand-alone ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). The books in this series highlight different pack members, and can be read in any sequence. Like previous Talon Pack stories, Fractured Silence highlighted characters the reader can relate to and good story development. I love the conflicts in the plot--not too outrageous, with hard choices and uncertainty. The featured characters, Parker, Brandon, and Avery, are an excellent trio and I loved the dynamics.

I was expecting high emotions, books with Omega’s always have the extra umph because of who they are and what they do. This triad brought extra on top of that, because of all that was happening to them, had happened to them, and what they expected from the future. Of course I ended the book in tears, but also hope for the future. Pretty much the same as our triad, as they completed this moment in their lives, and prepared for whatever is going to happen to them next!

Once again, I’m with the shifters

I left the shifter in peace for a while as I was engrossed in the MC sagas. But not I’m back and this series is a great find and read. If u remember anything about me, I don’t give 5 stars unless it invokes every emotion and this series just hit that mark with this book. It’s a great read and if u like shifters, suspense, thrills and passion you’ll luv this.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
Brandon, Parker, and Avery’s story is gripping and emotional from page one. Brandon’s role as Omega adds a beautifully unique angle to the power dynamics, while Parker’s drive to protect and Avery’s prophetic strength bring the perfect mix of intellect, intuition, and fire. Their connection unfolds slowly but passionately, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. This book pushes the series toward its climactic arc with grace, grit, and heart.

I voluntarily read this book as an advanced readers copy. Carrie Ann Ryan sure knows how to write a story. She kept me spell bound from start to finish. I loved how the characters related to each other and how the plot thickened throughout the story. I cannot wait until the next story in this series is released so I can see what happens next.

My poor heart

Oh goodness my poor heart..I never knew I could be so invested in the Brentwoods as I was with the Redwoods. The pain they've all endured hurts my soul but yet they still find a moment to cherish a love or a new life. I can't even begin to imagine what else is to come.

Fractured Silence was an amazing story. It chanced the whole series and thinks are finally starting to look up for the talon pack and the rest of the wolves! Have your tissues ready because it was a very emotional story that broke you and put you back together again like only Carrie Ann Ryan can do.
