Landis Ellis is successful, beautiful, and busy. She’s got work to do, and no time for games. She’s had a streak of bad luck with love and might just decide to do without it. It’s starting to feel like more trouble than it’s worth. She’s still reeling from the ups and downs of the break up with her NBA ex, and isn’t interested in going back to the Pros. She crosses paths with Jamal, but of course nothing with them ends up as expected.
Everyone has an end goal, but not everyone can get what they want. Even with the best laid plans, it only takes one Game Changer… and then all bets are off.

Great read
I enjoyed this book. My only issue was that my kindle made me read it in textbook mode. Jamal was such a player. He rushed to judgment and busted his world wide open when he created a Maybe baby with Amber. Landis was his good thing and he fumbled her heart. After friend zoning Parker, Landis gave Jamal a shot all to be humiliated. Waiting to see if they would make it back together was filled with much anticipation. I could never accept a man that had a baby on me but this book showed how one might come to accept it realistically. Great read!

Game Changer by N.V. Promise follows 3 people, NFL wide receiver Jamal Mason, PR account rep Amber Jackson and bank manager Landis Ellis. When we meet Jamal he’s big pimpin! He’s on some don’t call me, I’ll call you! Settling down is not on the agenda. However, Miss Amber is trying to change that. Amber is trying to catch a baller! From the time she was a teenager she was interested in the clout that comes with dating a man with power. Unfortunately for Amber, soon after they meet he sets his eyes on Landis. Landis isn’t really looking for anything serious. She’s in a friend with benefits relationship so Jamal has to chase her down! Apparently he likes the chase; someone should have told Amber that 👀 I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it’s very entertaining! I do wish I got to spend more time with the couple. Dates were not on page and too much time was spent sleeping with other people. What the book lacked in romance it made up for in DRAMA!! The messiness, pettiness, tit for tat, immaturity, audacity, delusion and ego! It all captured my attention. I wanted to yell and scream at these characters. I promise the messiness continues until the very last page! Don’t miss out on this!! Book 2 is available btw!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was well-written and I couldn’t put it down. I found myself engaged with the characters and impressed with the character development and how the author artfully weaved together their stories to create a nice, alternate world to descend into (one of the purposes of a good book). I felt myself drawn into the novel’s world and concerned about the characters I developed an affinity with. I am definitely looking forward to a sequel to this book and will be hurrying to buy it once it comes out.
