Nik Vanelli drives a delivery truck by day and is the front man of a popular local band, Lapis Lazuli, on the weekends. But he never expected to have a whirlwind romance with a being from another dimension. While he enjoys the stage life, he yearns for something more. He dreams of composing his masterpiece, his "Life's Work," to showcase his passion to the world but falls short to find the right inspiration. After playing a show at a local venue, Nik meets Samantha, and they share an evening of passion. Nik believes he has found his inspiration, but, as time goes on, he learns Samantha's secret--a secret revealed to Nik after playing another show with his band. Nik leaves his town for the weekend to collect his thoughts and gain a grasp on the situation. On his way home, he discovers Mirage. Is the mysterious Mirage what he needs to fulfill his inspiration? Or will he get lost in her alternate universe ... forever?
