Picking up and moving to a small coastal town in Maine is the fresh start Ally Rose desperately needs. Tired of watching life being lived all around her, she decides it's time to start taking some risks.
On her first night in Pine Cove, a panicked call at 2am brings Ally face to face with the tall and mysterious Jake Taylor. She didn't expect a man like him to show up at her door, and she definitely didn't expect him to have eyes she could drown in or the ability to make her dormant heart race.
Craving him like her next breath, Ally feels the walls around her heart cracking with every touch and kiss they share. But is it all too good to be true? She feels at home for the first time in her life, but will Jake's past be the reason she has to leave?
**Her Maine Attraction is book 1 in the Pine Cove series and a full-length, standalone, contemporary, small town romance filled with hot sexy love, hilarious best friends, a few drunken nights, and plenty of blueberry treats!
Rebecca is a dreamer through and through with permanent wanderlust. She's a lover of all things romance and writes what she loves to read, which is a little of everything!
When she's not writing, you can find her *attempting* to curb her online shopping problem while sipping an iced coffee and planning her next road trip!
The cover of this book is really sweet and I like it really much.
I have to admit I had my troubles when I started the book but it quickly changed when I really got into the book. The Story of Jake and Ally was really hot and steamy. Ally is this strong women who moves to a small town city in Maine called Pine Cove where she meets her lovely old landlord Dottie. Dottie is this really sweet old women who moves in with her family and rents out the place to Ally. In the first night of her new life Ally get‘s scared and calls the guy Dottie told her about. This is the first time Jake and Ally meet and it‘s an instant connection.
This is the start of a sweet, hot and steamy story. I honestly have to say that I missed a little bit of drama in the story but my heart really broke for Ally when Jake was being a jerk.
The writing was good and I didn‘t have any trouble reading the book as I‘m not a 100% native english speaker.
I can‘t wait for a second book about the hot Sherif or the hot Fireman or the hot Navyguy. Yes I said hot three times😂
Thank you to the author for sending me a signed copy in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book. The story of two emotionally broken people finding happiness together was fantastic. The characters were well developed and realistic. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
Allyson Rose just got fired from a job she hated. The Jersey girl then decides to change her life and moves to Pine Cove Maine where she rents a cottage and hires on at the local coffee shop. Jake Taylor is a boat builder who looks like a Viking. He is a bit of a recluse but helps the elderly woman who owns the house Ally is renting. The first night in her new home Ally hears banging and growling - she panics and calls Jake for help. They have an instant attraction. They slowly build a relationship that goes off the tracks when Jake's ex shows up, but they do get their HEA afterall.
This was so sweet! So cute actually that half of the book I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, not wanting to believe that a relationship could be this perfect lol. How messed up am I from all the dramatic stuff I've been reading? No but for real, this was a very easy-going read with lots of steamy scenes and and a hot mountain man who will make you swooooon. Loved it!
You'll find yourself falling in love with the small town of Pine Cove and it's residents throughout this series. This was a great series to read during quarantine and I was happy to learn there was more than just HMA!
So I am not big on sweet mushy insta-love stories but somehow this one was spot on. It hit all of the feelers in the right spots! Plus who wouldn't love to have a man that looks like Thor????? This is a great read that I highly recomend.
A contemporary small town romance between the town's reclusive boat builder and a woman who has recently moved to town to find herself. There were a lot of hot and spicy scenes so if that's not your cup of tea give this book a pass. However, the story was good and Ally and Jake really worked through their relationship to reach their HEA.
Rebecca Gannon has created a place so beautiful you know it can only occur with the pages of a book. Readers will find themselves completely enveloped in the small town of Pine Cove throughout her book from the comradery of her characters to the most beautiful parts of nature intertwining to form this town. You will be right there with the characters experiencing all the love, warmth, and uniqueness that comes with living in a small town. You will find yourself craving one of Dottie’s blueberry pies or one of the many amazing blueberry pastries from the Blueberry Cafe. And if you’re anything like me you will fall so hard for the town of Pine Cove that you will be heartbroken it isn’t real.
If the town isn’t enough to win you over, Jake and Ally sure will. Ally is looking for a fresh start and finds the perfect cozy little cottage in Pine Cove. Jake does the same routine daily with little to no change in his life, just like he likes it. Safe. But that all changes when Ally calls him on her first night in Pine Cove to rescue her. She doesn’t expect Jake to be the gorgeous mountain man that shows up at her door, but she’s grateful and a little flustered he is. Jake and Ally have some explosive chemistry, but will they act on it? Is Ally ready to open herself up to love? What secrets is the mysterious Jake hiding?
This couple is one of my favorites to date! Ally is a super relatable heroine, while also being unique and individual. And Jake is one of the hottest hero's hands down! He is the perfect lumberjack alpha male with all the super hot features included. And he has a bit of a possessive and protective side that will make you swoon. When he and Ally are together it is magic and absolutely perfect. And all the supporting characters will win you over too! I’m already making guesses for future couples in the series! And begging Rebecca to give me all the details!
Her Maine Attraction is one of my favorite small-town romance books ever. I think everyone should read it, envelope themselves in it, crave blueberries because of it, and love a little more after it.
DNF. QUIT at Chapter 8. @25% in. So this woman, Ally, who lives in New Jersey, gets fired from her boring office job. She decides to move to Maine by renting a house that overlooks the ocean in idyllic small town, Pine Cove. She hasn’t painted in several years but she has enough money to buy what sounds like several hundred dollars worth of artist supplies and then she gets a job working at a coffee shop (which is probably minimum wage.) She experiences instalove with a broody hunk named Jake. One night, she buys four bottles of wine and some liquor and gets drunk by herself. Shortly thereafter, she gets hammered at a bar and flirts with the bartender, Alex. She then manipulates the hunky guy Jake to kiss her and then take her home by saying she’s going to go home with the bartender if he doesn’t. This is the most immature financially ludicrous drivel! I think it would be more realistic if she ended up needing to go to AA and met a guy there.
This book is shaking my head bad. The word vomit, unnecessary storylines and commentary just to fill pages because they have nothing to do with the main characters and their destined relationship. The writing is terrible. The writing is stilted, cliché and sophomoric. The summary of the book refers to him as a hermit but I stopped at 14% and he’d been in town more than once. Also , I stopped at the point where she’s been in town 48 or 72 hours and she’s already gotten a job, discussed personal business with a her new boss/acquaintance, lied and staged the breakdown of an appliance to get the male lead over, he calls her out and they’re full on making out. I jumped off this ridiculous kiddy ride.
🖤book has been fully re-edited as of 7/31/20🖤 My first published novel will always hold a special place in my heart, along with Ally and Jake ❤ I have learned so much since pressing that publish button, and I've made countless revisions to it since 🙈 but I think I've gotten to a point where I can let it lie, and let the world enjoy my #1 book boyfriend 😘
From the first few pages the story sucks you in with it's wonderful descriptions of breathtaking scenery and delectable food. Ally packs her bags and moves to Pine Cove, a coastal little place where everything runs slower. Meeting hearthrob Jake is the icing on the cake and the banter between the two is deliciously sweet. Wonderful book to carry you away...
I liked it until he was unwilling to communicate with her and open up about his past and she’s suddenly okay with it because he loves her. Idk kind of rushed through it after that point
Rebecca Gannon introduces her Pine Cove series with Her Maine Attraction, Ally's story. Ally packs up her life in Jersey and moves to Pine Cove, Maine in a whim after losing her job. Renting a house from long-time Pine Cove resident Dottie, Dottie tells her to call "Jake" should she need anything. When she is awoken by a growl and crashing sounds outside her isolated cottage, she frantically calls the number - and shortly after a hot Viking appears on her doorstep. A boat builder, and having been mentored by Dottie's late husband, Jake is gruff and shut down, but he has a soft spot for blueberry pie - and quickly for Ally.
There are so many things to love about this beautifully sweet, steamy and romantic love story. Ally is smart and passionate and beautiful, ready to take on the world and pick up a paintbrush again after years of hiding away in the dark. And Jake is absolutely swoon-worthy, a former Navy man carrying around his own pain, but a man who knows what he wants - and how to get it, and how often... I digress. Ally and Jake could be my new favourite book couple, all thanks to Rebecca Gannon's beautiful writing. Plus the supporting characters...From Courtney and Jack, to Ashley, Marissa and Elizabeth, and of course Dottie, they are all such wonderful creations that make you want to wander in to The Blueberry Cafe, grab a sweet treat and a cappuccino, then wile away the hours catching up on all of the Pine Cove gossip.

Ally Rose is tired of sitting home alone while watching her life pass her by. She packs her bags and moves to a small coastal town called Pine Cove. A disturbance outside her new house and a 2 am phone call, brings Ally face to face with the mysterious Jake Taylor. Ally didn’t expect Jake to look like a big, sexy mountain man. Now she is craving him with every breath she takes.
The story explores intense sexual chemistry between the main characters Ally and Jake. I think that one of the major themes in the book is sex for example there are a lot of erotic scenes between Ally and Jake which seems to take up the a chunk of the story.. There is romance but it comes later in the book and I feel that it was overwhelmed by sex ( not that it’s a bad thing).
The eroticism in the story is balanced with the use of humorous and charismatic supporting characters such as Courtney and Dottie. I knew how the story was going to end because in my opinion it follows the typical romance structure. Near the end there was a moment that happened between Ally and Jake which I will call ‘conflict’. I wish this ‘conflict’ was a lot more dramatic and intense. The ‘conflict’ was easily resolved and it didn’t feel realistic to me. But I still really enjoyed the ending because it was happy and cute.
I would recommend this book to others especially if they enjoy intense sexual chemistry between characters.
I received an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
This is the first book I've read by this author. And yes, I loved it.
Every time Jake called Allyson "darlin'", I was like 🥵🥵🥵 That's just so 🔥 No wonder Ally wanted to jump at him all the time 😎 Yes, the chemistry and tension between them is so special. They see each other and it made 💥 Like a ⚡ hit them. Jake the hermit and Ally the girl who has sworn off men... It's just perfect. And with that, a whirlwind romance starts... 🩷
I loved how they both healed each other. And I also loved the whole town of Pine Cove. So welcoming and friendly. All the forest and water 🤩 I could imagine living there myself 😍
Not sure what's happening this year... Normally, I only read dual POV. It's not that I hate single POV, it just happens that I always pick them, and I just love them. But this year I've already read multiple single POV books, like this one (and I assume the whole series will be). Who knows how many more there are on my TBR 🤣 At the minimum, the rest of the series. And yes, I already saw the other books have perfect couples as well. As much as I can imagine it. Ally is getting back all her friends 🤩
I liked the story! You get a mountain man with his broody gentleman self. Who also has a dirty side and a sweet Maine transplant. I have to say I don’t know why but ally annoyed me for most of the story. Always praying into Jake. I get it you want to know someone but getting irritated when someone doesn’t shared as fast as you isn’t fair. And then all the time she has to try to make him jealous about other guys when they are out rubbed me the wrong way. I get being upset about him meeting up with his ex but she jumped to conclusions and he did nothing wrong other than wait to talk to her in person about seeing her. Meanwhile. They are still together and she is dressing slutty and flirting with Alex in the bar. She has no confirmation he did anything wrong and automatically goes there. I didn’t like that. I’m glad they had it out and cleared the air because you can’t be mad at someone for the baggage you carry because of your history and then blame them when circumstances make you unhappy. Plus her friend Ashley was over the top. I loved Courtney and Jake and his brothers.
Ally and Jake meet the first night at the house she just rented in Maine, when she thought she heard a bear and called him to check on it. Ally finds the artist inside her again and Jake makes incredible boats. The characters are strong and determined, and sometimes pushy, as in her friends. The town and its people and shops are a perfect locale for this story. It was special to include the beautiful Arcadia Forests, too. The romance is off the charts as they slowly trust more and more. Tension comes when there is miscommunication for a short while, when he ex comes to talk to him. Her friends from back in New Jersey, as well as her new friends in Pine Cove, support her in every way and the banter between is fun and sassy. This book will leave you with lots of smiles, warm feelings and a craving for blueberry anything.

4.5 stars! This was a really great read, there was soooooo much heat it was very very hot!!! This book had me hooked from the very beginning, it’s definitely not a slow burner which was a massive plus for me as I’m an impatient reader. Ally and Jake’s story really was a great story, they were both so lovable it was cute and their chemistry was insane! If you love a great steamy romance then this will be perfect for you! I wish I lived in Pine Cove as it sounds picture perfect, I really hope this is a series as I’d love to know more about Courtney and Jack and then I’m really really hoping something will happen with Ash and Ryan, though Ash didn’t have a huge part I instantly loved her character and would definitely read a book with her as the main female lead. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and will definitely be checking out more from her. I read this book as an ARC.
What a story! So many steamy, passionate scenes! Rebecca Gannon does a wonderful job of her descriptions of the scenery and how the characters are feeling. She makes you feel like you are right there watching each scene as it unfolds. I could not put this book down once I started reading it. Reading this story makes me want to move to Maine to find my own mountain man! I love how they both instantly felt a connection with the other that first night they met. Both Ally and Jake have trust issues to overcome as they have both been hurt by people they loved.
I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for something sweet and steamy! I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series to see what happens with Ally’s friends.

I felt think this book was just one big instalust. It was missing a lot of depth. If you like a book that is pretty much just getting down the whole time than pick up this book. If you want a book that has a lot more depth, communication and heart than don't. I want to like this book more than I do but it is missing so much plot/information and again as I said already depth to the characters. A lot of the time I thought Ally just got out of college or was still in college the way she acts throughout this book not the age of 28. Also does she have a drinking problem because it sure seems that way.

Such a sweet story! I was a little apprehensive due to the blurb, I really have a hard time with stories where everything is going great and a huge misunderstanding ruins everything and someone runs off and they don’t communicate because they are both too prideful..... but that didn’t happen!
I really related to Ally’s story. I really struggled with trusting guys until I met my husband, he restored my faith in people. I’m not an artist, but I understand rediscovering the joy of life. Of finding your passions again, when you thought you had lost it for good. And having a Thor-like mountain man give it back to you, icing on the cake, although mine is more grizzly bear than mountain man, I get it! 😘
I was so happy to have won this book from the author during a giveaway, one that an Insta besty won too, so we decided to buddy read it together.
I really enjoyed this book, first off was the setting, it just sounded absolutely stunning and somewhere I would absolutely love to visit. I have a lovely friend who visits Maine every year so I was able to envision just what the place looked like. I love how Ally just felt straight at home there and loved how everyone made her feel like she belonged.
Next up, the characters were all really nice, there wasn’t one horrible person in this book. I loved the friendship groups, those were super special and I loved the relationship that both Jake and Alley had with their own families, I love when characters have a good support unit.
Straight away you could see that this pair had some chemistry and definite sexual attraction. The pair of them obviously had some past issues which kept them holding back a little, obviously scared to jump in. I enjoyed getting to hear about their back story and watch them grow as a couple who were obviously deeply in love with each other.
I absolutely loved the ending of this book so so much, I love what Jake did for Ally, and meeting her mum and sisters properly.
This book could have been named, "Copulation 101". I think almost every page described this. Additionally, Ally returned to her passion of painting late in the book and Jake had his carving going on.
Jake was so attentive to Ally, almost crazy possesive, so I don't understand why, when she was having her friends coming to town, he didn't answer Ally's texts and didn't show up to meet her friends. Then he was seen having dinner with his ex and Ally didn't see him until late the next day. Why would he take his ex to dinner when he was crazy about Ally and practically living with her?
His excuse was LAME but Ally bought it. I expected him to turn abusive.
I was given an ARC by the author for my honest review.
Ally is ready for a change and decides to move to Maine for a new beginning. Packing up her belongings, she moves to small town, Pine Cove. Ally rents an adorable house to start her new life. Her first night there, she meets Jake when she calls him for help. Their relationship starts as slow burn but then ignites.
This is the first book in the series and I enjoyed in. Ally has relatable issues, as does Jake who served in the military. Their relationship sparks almost immediately and they have an intense relationship. I’m looking forward to reading the other 3 books.
OMG I loved this so much that i'm going to buy a copy of the book as its one of my favourites. I haven't got a bad thing to say about it. I love the instant chemistry between Ally and Jake I think they make a great couple, the romance was great, I thought the little conflict near the end was nicely done and liked that it gave an insight about why Jake kept parts of himself locked away.
I was surprised that this was the authors first book because of how well written and amazing this book is.
