What a colossal waste of time.
You can’t make up for bar theology with good stories.
I really wanted to love this book, but her whole premise seems to be that you can get your own special revelations from God. I don’t know how many times she said: “God told me…”. If you’re into the whole “Sarah Young/ Jesus Calling” theology you just might enjoy this.
I would ask for my money back if I hadn’t spent so little on it.
Sorry to be so honest. I just couldn’t hold it in.

Writing songs
This is a quite rare theme, a book about writing worship song. Its not about the theory of writing songs, more on author's own experiences while writing songs.

Wow. I’m thankful for this book. Krissy’s heart is shown clearly, her deep love for Jesus, which helped me receive the gift of practical ways to grow in songwriting and co-writing. I feel like I have so many more tools to use after reading this. If you’re looking for practical ways to grow as a worship songwriter, you should read this with a pen in hand! Thank you, Krissy!!!

Very informative!
If you feel a call to write songs, especially worship music, you will find gems of information in this book. But, more than that, you will be challenged to develop and deepen your relationship with the ONE we worship!

Some very good practical helps such as song mapping and song critiquing. I appreciated her focus on worship, though I do not emphasize “the voice of God” in the way she does. I am thankful for her testimony and ministry and how God has worked in her life.

Practical and Inspiring
You can hear Krissy’s heart come through as she welcomes and encourages and instructs. Practical resources to come back to again and again.

Thin on content, lots of anecdote. Assumes a certain kind of worship song, I felt.
