I can see how some people might not like this book, but honestly, my wife and I really enjoyed it. We’re super close, like best friends, so we’re always open to finding new tips to try in our crazy busy lives and relationship. I’ll admit, I wasn’t planning to buy this book at first. It didn’t have a ton of reviews, and I’m not usually one to gamble on something without a lot of feedback. Just being honest.

But then a close friend’s wife, Jenny, mentioned it to my wife, and we had to laugh because we were just talking about whether to buy it. Jenny said they liked it, and since our friend group has been into reading couple-focused books together lately, we decided to give it a shot. (Side note: Jenny’s known my wife for over 15 years, so she definitely knows what works for us.)

Turns out, I liked it too. Chapter 7 was my favorite. It really made us laugh, and we picked up some solid tips along the way. What I liked most was that it didn’t feel like your usual relationship book. The tone is so down to earth, like a friend giving you advice rather than an expert lecturing you. That approach made it so much more enjoyable for both of us.

If you’re looking for something practical but relatable, I’d definitely recommend this one. It’s lighthearted but thoughtful, and we got some good ideas out of it. Jenny also suggested another book, Keep His Heart (something Love), so I’ll probably give that one a try next and let you know what I think.

Basic fundamentals on how to be a good parter and a reminder to be secure in yourself & the best version of you. I liked how in the end it reminded you to basically not be desperate & always choose yourself first.

I'm very flexible on self-help books. If it provides tools for me to use in my relationship I can appreciate the time put into a project.

I found many things that I can use as a man but, I wanted to wait until after my wife finished to get her thoughts on it. So, I asked her what did she think, she said, "eye glue." We both laughed.

We liked it. Helpful points in each chapter. But with anything, it's all in how you look at things. Can one find positive points to add to their (relationship)toolbelt? I think so if, you think that way.
